I highly recommend MetroButler. Not only do I make money every time they help me rent my home, but they are super responsible and respectful of my property. I look forward to using their services again in the near future!

Metrobutler found and hosted a lovely french family in our apartment while we vacationed. We returned to a spotless apartment and payment. The process was effortless, and allowed us to take a longer, more luxurious trip than we would have without the extra income. Metrobutler was unbelievably professional, thorough, and friendly every step of the way.
Recently started using MetroButler when I travel and I absolutely love it. Allows me to fund my vacations with no stress whatsoever, really improves the renter-side experience of short-term renting. Great service I highly recommend to anyone!!!
I decided to test out the MetroButler services to help pay for my upcoming Memorial Day trip. I haven't even left yet and they have already been able to book my apartment and make me enough money to pay for my flight. I'll definitely be using them again for my next trip!
I've been using AirBnB on and off again to rent out my Astoria apartment until the lease runs out. But it's so much work to schedule bookings, cleanings, and respond to guests like a butler. Metrobutler makes it easy. I don't have to think about steaming the carpet after a guests party or run out for more TP and handtowels. Metrobutler makes me a little bit happier about the fact I couldn't break my lease.
Amazing company. Got locked out and in 15 minutes they got me in my room and out of the lobby. Definitely recommend and look forward to a second usage of them.
I've been using MetroButler for over a year now and they are excellent. I hope they stay around forever because I don't want to have to try a new service. Not all home mangement companies are the same. MetroButler stands out because they are super responsive and take care of everything so I don't need to. I highly recommend them.
We are extremely pleased with how MetroButler took are of our apartment, and the rate they were able to get. Very professional. I would definitely recommend them!
This company mangeded a property I stayed in via airbnb and the service was terrible.
After the slightly complicated check in where they used a lock box and attached it to a park fence (we had to check the whole park) We arrived in the flat.
It looked just like the pics but everything was very dirty, dust everywhere in all the cupboards, walls and draws. Me and my girlfriend had to clean everything when we arrived ourselves I even contacted the host and they did not care enough to reply.
I know they read the message as I sent anouther message on anouther day because we lost hot water and they replayed.
I feel sorry for the person who owns this property because it would of been a lovely place to stay with the right managment.
Their platform and service are best-in-class. I would highly recommend them if you don't want the responsibility and work of managing your AirBnb profile and want to make money while you're away.
Horrible experience, this service has the honor of being my only bad review of a company i have ever given. Only had 3 cleanings and 2 of which had complaints, canceled cleaning times, as well as refusal to send additional cleaner after my guest complained, and also never refunding me a coupon i was promised. Ended up costing me hundreds between them not refunding and me having to still refund my guest. When i did return home i could see that my apartment was never properly cleaned.
To top it off i just got a message from the CEO threatening to report my account for leaving a bad review as they had 'no record of me'. Hence leaving this late review. Its been months since i have washed my hands of this service and still find a way to get under my skin.
As many of you probably are, I was nervous about having a service handling the apartment. Metrobutler was the second service I spoke with and the one I wind up choosing because they understood my concerns and gave me answers that I believed in. When we came back from vacation, the apartment was in great condition. I liked being able to use the online platform to monitor our calendar, guests and payouts. They also answered my many emails in a very timely matter, even when I would email from half way around the world. Trust me - having someone to pass of keys, clean the apartment and prep between guests is so much better than having to be stressed for your entire vacation. Will definitely recommend Metrobutler and use again.
Horrible company to work for. They'll randomly lay you off without even telling you. When I went to inquire about this after they hadn't responded to my emails to them in a month, I found that they had moved offices and changed their number. Once again, they never even bothered telling me.
Horrible! never return your emails and keep apologizing for items not cleaned or lost. Quick to sign you on but slow afterwards. They don t vet their guests be careful!!!
I've been using MetroButler for almost 2 years. They do an extremely good job with cleaning -- better than most any cleaner you can find in NYC -- and with the added benefit of having a full team of people so they can almost always accommodate your schedule, even last minute. You simply cannot get that from an individual cleaning person, no matter how good they are at the actual cleaning part.
Additionally, MetroButler also provides key and property management services, which are also invaluable.
I've had one or two service problems over the time I've used them, but I am giving them 5 stars anyway because with property management and cleaning, there are always going to be problems of some variety, and the MB team has more than made up for it since the problems happened.
Beware! This company is run by a bunch of children who have dollar bills in their eyes and care only about getting paid. If things go well, fine - everybody wins. But when they make mistakes (and they will), forget to post your property, confuse bookings, disregard your rules and minimums, lose keys, damage property, and don't answer calls or emails...you'll be wishing you found another Airbnb property management company, or just used Airbnb super hosts instead. This is YOUR HOME, people! I strongly advise against using this company.
I just got back from my month long trip and am ecstatic with my decision to let MetroButler manage my apartment.I live in the Chelsea area and did not wanting my apartment to be empty for a month. I realized my chances were slim to none to find someone to rent out my place for the full month. I wanted to Airbnb, but wouldn t be able to arrange key drop offs for different guests. Luckily, Metrobutler was able to manage the whole thing. From finding the appropriate guests, to arranging the cleanings between each booking, they were professional every step of the way. Of the 28 days I was away, they were able to book 25 of them. The best part is, when I returned home, there was no indication at all that anyone was even in my apartment. They made the whole experience super easy and I will definitely use them again. As an added bonus, the customer feedback from those who stayed in my place was outstanding. Very glad I stumbled upon this service.
Using MetroButler for over a year now. Whenever I'm not home for a few days or more, I just indicate this on their website and never look back. Most days are booked for reasonable rent rates. The commission MetroButler charges for their services is not excessive, as for me it is truly zero stress and I don't want the burden of keys-handover, scheduling cleaning etc.. MetroButler is especially value add if you're away for longer periods, as how can one handle multiple bookings when you are on another continent?
Whenever I get back home, my apartment looks like I never had guests, besides either a missing beer, or a miraculously appeared bottle of wine.
BEWARE of MetroButler multiple thefts and property damage
These events took place over the Summer 2016 but I waited until I moved out of this apartment until writing this review: I ve worked with MetroButler twice & each experience was straight up terrible. The first time there didn t seem to be any issue and I came home to a clean apartment and all was good. It was the dead of summer and blazing hot so I wasn t wearing my jeans. But a couple of weeks later I went to grab a pair of jeans and realized 2 were missing. Both expensive, one still had the tags. And no one else had been in my apartment no cleaning person, super, handyman, no one. I raised my concerns to one of their operations people but he told me there was no further action he could take as claims have to be filed within 48 hours of the guest departure. And that was that I wasn t going to use MB again but they already had a guest booked for Labor Day weekend so I figured this would be the last time and this couldn t possibly happen again .
But it did and it was horrible. I arrived home to find debris and chewing gum ground into my living room carpet, the bed half made and a filthy bathroom covered in hair & urine. And the MB cleaning crew had already been there! As I inspected the apartment further, in addition to the mess left behind, the following items had been stolen (this is not a joke): a bottle of Tito s vodka, a brand new Henri Bendel handbag and scented candle, a pair of women s shorts and t-shirt, a scented soap and body lotion from L Occitane, an entire package of make-up remover wipes, & entire box of tampons (as if someone used my apartment as their own personal shopping trip to a drugstore).
I was SHOCKED! I called their after-hours hotline (it was the Monday of Labor Day) and the person I spoke to said someone would call me immediately. I didn t hear until Tuesday morning but the customer service person was nice and initially very helpful. I sent him photos and videos of the bathroom and carpet and he sent someone to my apartment to clean the place up. I had already done most of the clean-up the amount of hair and urine on the bathroom floor was unbelievable for a 2-day guest. And the 2nd cleaning person didn t touch the shower or the kitchen. I had to do another once over after they left. MB did replace the missing hand bag and candle, contacted the guest and filed a $200 claim for the other missing items. The guest admitted to drinking the bottle of vodka but claims knew nothing of the other missing items. They never did get an answer about how gum, dirt and other debris ended up all over the carpet.
I never heard from MB again until I followed up with them about the $200 claim with Airbnb (this did not include the missing jeans from the first guest). They told me Airbnb denied the claim and the case was closed .but the guest admitted to taking the vodka. I actually think the cleaning crew is to blame here. Twice I had personal items stolen and judging by the state of the apartment on Labor Day, it seems like they left in a hurry, mid cleaning. Something spooked them and then just bolted.
After several emails to MB about the cost of all the items stolen and the fact that they kept both of their commissions, they finally refunded their commission for the Labor Day guest a whopping $84. Including the 2 pair of jeans, I m out about $400. $84 doesn t make a dent.
I was so incredibly hurt and disappointed by MB s handling of these incidents and the fact that they are supposed to vet these guests it seems that they ll let anyone into your apartment.
BEWARE!!! they lose your keys and don't explain or help.
I have used MetroButler 3 times. First time and second time was fine but third time they lost a set of keys to my apartment. When using the service they ask for 2 sets of keys - one that they keep in their office so that butlers can enter and the other left in the apartment for the guests to use. Either the butler who cleaned and did the key exchange the second time stole it or it just got lost SOMEHOW. I was not aware until it was the DAY OF my new guests checking in - they emailed me asking if I ever gave them back the set of keys. Confused, I asked what do you mean the butler should have a set. They sent me multiple emails not being clear as to what happened because they probably don't know themselves and then accused the guests of taking a set of keys but the guest set is clearly left locked inside the apartment on the table as I instructed. Now, the butler cannot get in for their cleaning and key exchange service and no one calls me. I have sent emails asking for someone to call me, I have contacted Lou (not sure if he is the owner) who I have spoken when I first started the service. Didn't pick up my call and just replied to my texts apologizing saying he is away and is strictly an operational thing that he cannot help with.
BASICALLY I am never using this service again - I have a set of keys to my apartment floating around NYC somewhere. Company is not answering me. I am asking for a refund and to be responsible to pay for changing my locks. Have no received any response yet. I will keep waiting but this is the worst service ever. The keys are the most important thing and they lose it and have no explanation? They just EMAIL and say sorry but can't do anything?
Great experience, very professional, very reliable. I've used them 3-4 times as I was traveling abroad, and I actually found my apartment far cleaner / organized than I left it!
Great way to try out AirBnB & otherwise without all the stress/hassle of finding good tenants, offering them a hotel-like experience, etc.
Really bad Service. I book a place in Harlam NY for 3 days for this weekend when I reached the apartment it was on the 6 th floor with no elevator. No air conditioning. When I contacting they say they are not able to reach the host. They stopped picking up my call and didn t do anything to help us...
