Their complimentary house bread was super fresh and I'd totally go back only for that. The food was perfect and we enjoyed out time there - I have not complains about the food or the service.
They take reservations so you can plan a date night ahead of time. I like their location and proximity to other bars. We third their charcuterie board, lobster soup and steak - everything tssted great - but marginally expensive. My only complaint would be that they have to expand their menu a little to accommodate more vegetarian options.

We had a work dinner here and they had us set up with a reservation. Everything was ready when we arrived, but we only had one server for our 18 top table. The food was amazing while a bit on the high end for price, but we were waiting all night on drinks. We opted to leave and grab drinks and dessert somewhere else.
Really really enjoyed the meal here. Excellent food and preparation. It is expensive, but they pay attention to menu and preparation more than most other restaurants in Indy. The menu changes frequently so it will often provide new experiences.
If the bread pudding is on the dessert menu, I highly recommend it.
The brunch is amazing. I had the Benedict with lobster and fries.... perfectly done with tons of lobster meat. My mom had the lobster bisque and said it was creamy and smooth. We are definitely going to come back.
Food was great. They should change from Iceberg lettuce to a Romain or other dark leafy greens and lettuce, keep it healthier. Service was great, quiet and professional. Nice place for an event that's private or work related.
Took a first date out here. It was a comfortable and quiet environment where we could hold good conversation and get to know each other. She ordered the Miller's Farm Amish Chicken and I enjoyed some fish & chips.
Food was delicious. We shared a Fried Calamari appetizer that came with high regard from our waiter. And boy was he right, it was equally delicious.
Overall for Indy's 20-somethings looking for a higher than average quality place, I would absolutely recommend this.
The cocktails were pleasant and the food was done well. However, I made a reservation for 7:30 tonight 3 days ago and we were not seated until 8:05. We were able to order cocktails while we waited but since there was no table we were left holding our drinks for 30 minutes.
This place is incredible! Surprisingly fast service, attentive and friendly staff, and excellent food. The cocktails are great, and the beer list is alright. A great spot for dates.
Not cheap but the service is good and the food is good. Not a place I go to often because I find my money is better spent at other places owned by the same company if i want a high end restaurant. It still a place I would not say no to.
Simple yet diverse menu. Could have had a few more options, but the ones listed we're appealing. There we several options that sounded good. Nice atomosphere that accommodated our larger group well. Dessert was fantastic!
The good...Richie was an amazing waiter! World class service. The bad...portions are small. You might leave hungry The ugly...lobster bisque had two bites of lobster and the desert size is comical. Actual photo of the desert included.
I had my baby shower here and it was amazing! The food was great and we were able to reserve a private space. Super chic place. Prices a reasonable. Parking on Mass Ave can be tricky during the week but other than that I would definitely recommend this place!
The cheese board was a great sampling of cheeses for an appetizer. Our waiter was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the menu items. The pork belly sandwich was delightfully tender and the chicken sandwich was also good. We didn't get any of the classic entrees, but enjoyed the experience!
What a delight this was for our small group. The restaurant is located in a great area and the interior aesthetic is exciting. The food and wine was great as expected.
From making a reservation until the check the overall experience was wonderful. Their Calimari was the best I ve had. The chef s special of the night was a Sashimi Himachi and was pleasant to the eye and the palette. The filet, delicious. Our server, Jessica, was outstanding in descriptions, suggestions, friendliness and attentiveness. The manager was regularly in the dining room to check on all of the guests. If you have the opportunity, you shouldn t miss the chance to enjoy a fantastic experience.
I m a little behind at showing my appreciation, however this restaurant is incredible! I was torn on what to get and then our server on Valentine s Day recommended the scallops. Don t hesitate to try something new, they were so good my date ended up ordering some to go. Robin was great.
Attended a company event and it was on point. The food was great, the staff was attentive. The shrimp, ravioli, and grilled chicken were amazing. Not a big fan of the meatballs but who really is. All is all, they are now a spot I will come to every time I visit Indianapolis.
I have wanted to have dinner at Mesh since we moved to Indiana. I am pleased to say the experience did not disappoint. We were able to make reservations for 7:45 pm. To my luck on arrival to Massachusetts Ave, I luckily stopped at a crosswalk to allow a young woman to cross. It just so happened she was going to her parked car across from Mesh. Can you say karma parking score.
Upon arriving we were promptly escorted to our table of seven. We all had drinks ranging from Sauvignon Blanc, Malbec to bourbon. All were said to be pleasant. That said the pricing could be improved as the per bottle price was the same as the bottle price. I am custom to the bottle price encourages selecting a bottle as compared to multiple glasses.
For dinner I had the Mesh salad that was fresh and delicious. For the main course I selected the scallops the were to have lobster risotto. I found the risotto to be delicious but sparse. The scallops were cooked correctly and were very satisfying. The others in my party had the crab cakes, the steak frites and the fried snapper. Everyone was very pleased with their choices. We finished with desert of gram central station ice cream.
Absolutely the best table brew coffee I've ever had in a restaurant, but it's strong. Mesh is an elegant joint, great for brunch. Chicken and waffles is one of their specialties and worth the wait.
Took my daughter out for a daddy daughter date, she loves trying new food and going to nice restaurants. We decided on Mesh. Once we arrived, the host made us feel like we were out of place because my daughter is young (7). We were seated and the server was very nice and attentive. We ordered Steak Fritas and my daughter ordered a BLT. The steak was too chewy for her to eat (we split) but she enjoyed the fries. Our bill with one drink and a salad plus the two entrees was $70. I have no problem paying for good food but, with so much great food options in the area now I was expecting a much greater product. Big fan of the Cunningham group, I'll stick to their other brands
We had a great experience! Yes the food is pricey, and yes the drinks are pricey too. But that's what you get for a quality night with great service and delicious food. The hosts were also very accommodating as we had a larger group to celebrate several birthdays. Our server was fantastic and the kitchen nailed it on every appetizer, main dish, and dessert. Mesh was excellent in every category and we will be back again soon.
They have something for everyone! From vegan and vegetarian entree's to comfort food such as cornbread and ribs, Mesh has options that you'll love! My birthday dinner was fantastic!
Driving down from Chicago and stopped by. Not a bad place to stop by and have some comforting food. They have interesting fusion, which might not taste very good but fun to try.
Came during devour indy. Food was excellent. Minus 1 star because we didn't get the fancy bread which I was looking forward to. Was upselled to add shrimp to one of the dishes, only to discover you literally get A shrimp. I was charged 5 dollars for a Single piece of Shrimp. Lorde.
Was sitting next to a large table of women who where obnoxiously loud and laughing, ear pain type of laughter.
Was served by 3 different people. I've been here before when it was less busy, service and experience were better.
This place has a good sized bar area. The food is very good but since it is so busy it takes a while to get drinks. So with the wait and the price I have to give 4 stars. But, it was very tasty.
Impression: As a frequent Mass Ave eater, this is a safe choice when you want good food and the higher-end places are booked up. This location is higher-end but still reasonably priced. Its good for a nice dinner that you don't mind spending money on, but won't end up over-paying for. The decor inside is clean and modern, tastefully done. Lighting is the right dimness and the back has outdoor seating with a great fireplace. If you can get a table next to the fireplace, do it, especially on a night when there is a chill in the air.
Pros: The drinks are made well, there typically isn't a long wait (btw this location does use OpenTable). The food is delicious, not too pricey, and is made and served at what I feel to be the right pace. One of my favorite appetizers here is the pomme frites, the sauces that come with them are really good, especially aioli (yes, fancy mayonnaise, we all know that). The salads are large too, you can make a whole meal of out of a salad. The best place to eat in this restaurant is the bar area, which does have tables, or outdoor on the back patio.
Cons: The main interior seating area is noisy. Like absurdly noisy. I don't know what kind of noise dampeners are being used but they definitely do not work, either that or the majority of the patrons are hard of hearing so talk loudly to compensate. Do not bring a large group here, stick with 8 or less as there are no areas that can accommodate a party any larger unless they start pushing together tables. I attended recently with a party of 10 and we had to have people sitting on the corners and it just barely worked. So stick with 8 or less. Again, the interior noise in the main seating area, its absurd... which is why I recommend if you are dining inside, sit in the bar area, noise levels are much more reasonable.
Conclusion: Its a great restaurant. I call it my Plan B because if nobody can decide where to eat or if you aren't sure what you want, you will probably find it here and there is likely seating available or just a small wait. The drinks are good and the bar area is large. The decor is modern and sleek so this is actually a great place for after-work drinks with your professional friends.
Great for: professional friends to eat/drink, groups less than 8, diverse menu that will accommodate all tastes (even the pickiest eaters), date night but don't want to break the budget
I got the crab cakes and I wish I would have had the sauce on the side. My daughter got the spaghetti squash, for half the price I thought the flavors of that was much better. We also ordered a bottle of wine and it was served as once. The rest of the time we had to get it ourselves. Which normally isn't an issue but when you're spending that kind of money on a dinner I expect everything to be top-notch. I won't go back just was not impressed. And I realize it was Mother's Day but at the time we were there at the restaurant was not that busy.
First visit here. Recieved a recommendation from my co-worker whom is not a very adventurous eater. First impressions are clean, nice decor, good ambiance. Everything was great. I do not often, if ever give 5 stars. They hit on all cylinders. If I wanted to pick on something I could say my filet was not a perfect medium rare. It was so very close, & so very good! ( fork tender). I must say as good as that was, my wife's short ribs with curried mashed potatoes was the real winner. There was quite a competition for that between the lobster bisque & the Kung- pao calamari; all fantastic. We will be going back & taking friends. Our reservation was earlier than normal, so that may have contributed to the keen service. I will put that to the test next time. Thanks for a great evening & wonderful meal.
Mesh on Mass is a great place for a sophisticated evening for you and your friends...There's an outdoor fireplace and seating when weather permits and a beautiful bar where you are welcome to have dinner as well...They have a great selection of small plates, and their seafood and steaks are excellent...My favorites are the scallops on the seafood menu and the filet on the steak menu...They are top shelf selections that reflect the innovative approach of the Cunningham Restaurant Group.
Love this place. I go all the time. The food is great and the staff is always friendly. Sunday's with the half priced bottles of wine is the best. Will come back time and time again.
MESH is a great restaurant, wonderful staff & any Cunningham Group restaurant is always a top notch dining experience - we had 90 friends & family for a cocktail party & was an amazing event - cheers!
Huge fan of the selection and atmosphere of Mesh on Mass! I love the variety that their menu offers, and the service has been top notch every time I have been there. It mixes delicious cuisine with a sports bar feel on one side, and an upscale bar with outdoor dining on the other! Enjoy watching sports, socializing with friends, or playing tabletop shuffleboard!
