Excellent food. Awesome server. Laid back atmosphere.
Excellent food. Awesome server. Laid back atmosphere.
American food and the feeling at this location is great. Entered near eleven, it wasn't packed. The service was friendly and observant. This place has a good feel to it.
Great food and service. Amazing cocktails but very pricey
It's a great place with really good food. The servers are always nice and go above and beyond to take care of you. I ordered the Amish Chicken , I definitely recommend it. The atmosphere is upscale. You can make reservations so you don't have to wait to be seated. There menu is not very big, but the selections are awesome. Would definitely recommend this place.
Great restaurant for a special occasion or just because.
This restaurant was one of the very few of the fine dining trip advisor venues I d not tried before. Booked by a colleague for my last night in Indianapolis the food lived up to all expectations - interesting and diverse menu with a fine wine list. Would thoroughly recommend as a go to restaurant in this part of the city. Service let down by having to request a cooler for the wine.
Delightful outdoor dining experience. Food delicious and staff most accommodating.
First time I went here, I wasn't super impressed. The next time I went was for a dinner through work, and the food was much better. Really enjoyed the evening and the service was great. Maybe my second night was better because I wasn't footing the bill, heh.
Everything on the menu is priced a bit high, until you taste it - then you find out you're getting more than you paid for! Great ingredients, lovingly prepared food.
Great place for lunch or dinner and it has always been a hit with out of town guests. The bar area can be very noisy on weekends, so ask for the dining room if you want to be able to hear your dining companions.
My husband and I both ordered the filet because we couldn't think of anything that would taste as good as a nice steak. It was phenomenal. In fact I told my husband if there ever came a time that I could choose a last meal that he would have to fly it in to me. The service was also amazing. Our order got a little delayed and the manager came over to apologize and rectify the situation not only before we asked... but before we really even noticed. The atmosphere had us in a world of our own.
Food was perfect. Had spinach salad with wonderful cranberry dressing and gnocchi with eff spinach and asparagus. Prepared masterfully. Our wait person was tremendous, friendly and attentive.
The cuban was awesome. Nice atmosphere. Prices ok. Will go again.
Haven t been to Mesh for brunch in several years. Went last week and it was amazing! Got the biscuits and gravy that is topped with a couple of eggs. Great service too. Highly recommend.
The service was just as spectacular as the food. Our waitress could not have been better and the Torta was delicious!
CRG does a great job providing a warm, inviting atmosphere, good selection of beer, wine, liquor, and the food is always YUM.
I had the chefs special which was braised beef and sweet potato gnocchi with brussel sprouts sprinkled on top... just amazing. Hope that goes on the regular menu! The beef was so tender and the sweet potatoes were prepared perfectly. Loved every bite. Service was wonderful! One of my favorite spots in Indy!
Mesh is an excellent restaurant. We found ourselves strolling Mass Ave and their unique shops, etc. and decided to come back specifically for this place. We met a friend here, and the meal/experience we had was excellent! We each got a different plate, and thoroughly enjoyed each one, including the wine and the dessert. Everything was top notch, well prepared/seasoned, and tasted excellently.
Highly recommend!
One of my favorite restaurants. Consistently great food and service. Great vegetarian options. Even better than other Cunningham Group restaurants.
Derek, the day bartender, is professional, and extremely nice! Plus, I've never had a less than stellar time visiting Mesh, although I have been there during evening hours, usually..
Stopped in for lunch. Good service and decent food. We got to try a fusion drink they were working on. Not a lot of traffic... but it w as s also Monday at 100p. Some business folks were stopping in. We were just driving through and found this gem to stop and take a break. Get the artichoke dip.
Great atmosphere, the wait staff are awesome...wonderful entrees!
Love this place. The service couldn't be any better and the food....I can't even tell you how amazing it is. if I had to choose one thing to eat for the rest of my life it very well may be the burrata, olive and garlic (can't remember everything it had in it) app with crostini.
By far the worst dining experience that I have ever experienced. I would not encourage my worst enemy to visit this establishment and here s why:
To begin, the waiting staff had bad attitudes and did not want to serve our party. They were very short, rude and unpleasant. It appeared our server had a preconceived notion regarding the party that I was with, whom by the way was comprised of all persons of color. However, we continued our dining experience. Later, one member from our group overheard a conversation between two servers negatively talking about our group. Mind you, this group is comprised of doctors, lawyers, nurses, educators, entrepreneurs, and business professionals. Not that it matters but that is what happens when you believe black and brown people cannot spend money in your establishment. What Mesh reminds us that the Confederate South is not only still alive, but very much present on Mass Ave.
We have heard a lot of negative things about the experiences of persons of color on Mass Avenue but we believed those to be in the past. Unfortunately, this is not the case. The Assistant Manager refused to allow more than 25 people into the restaurant, requiring that we needed to have a reservation! Now, last time I checked, Mesh was not by reservation only. It does not even say anything about it on the website. The manager informed us that they don't cater to groups more than 12 people when in fact, you can use Open Table to reserve a party of 20 people. Yes, we had a party of no more than 30 people, but were told that we could not have more than 25.
There were five guests who were refused service and were not allowed to enter into the establishment. Treated like criminals when bringing business to this place. Later, we find that we were characterized as people who don t tip and people who wanted free drinks. Are you kidding me?!
The manager then decides to tell his wait staff to Call the 'Po Po' on them. The bottom line here, we were a group who decided to have brunch at Mesh. Not believing that it would be such a difficult task to eat and commune in the same dining space. Furthermore, there were 5 booths and 3 tables that surrounded us. Management told us, they were reserved. We were there from 11:15 AM - 12:45 PM (not one table was used during this experience).
Finally, this place is not a good place if you re in town visiting. Their treatment of patrons is despicable. Never, ever, have I been told to leave from an establishment and had the police called on my party. Unbelievably nasty experience and the Assistant Manager could have chose to handle this matter in a different way.
I can only imagine what he told the General Manager about our party. Fortunately, everyone has an experience and can share with others.
Beautiful place but the people are not nice nor welcoming.
Starting with the spectacular server Rhonda, dhe was very personable, friendly & helpful. She really made us feel welcomed. Now the food, 5 of us shared appetizers - bread, Brussels sprouts & calamari - more the enough for us to share. Flavors were incredible. Then dinner, curry vegetables, lamb shank, pork belly, steak frites & shirt rib grilled cheese. OMG!!!! We shared with each other. Phenomenal!!!!!!
Amazing food, service, & wine. Great scene, a pleasure to be a part of. We'll return again.
Cool decor and vibe, but food and drink were both just okay.
Awesome restaurant, excellent service, beautiful atmosphere, delicious food.
For the price, the food was disappointing. My sweetie got a spicy chicken bowl that he thought was passable. I got a basil chicken burger, which was absolutely drowning in the messy mayo. The bun was good, but there was a lot more bun and mayo than chicken. The ambiance and service were nice, though.
Impromptu visit to Indianapolis and we ended up getting on the wait list for Mesh. It took about 45 minutes for us to be seated which wasn t a problem because we walked around the neighborhood doing some sight seeing before they texted us that our table was ready. This restaurant did not disappoint! Every meal ordered was fantastic around the table. This restaurant checked all the boxes, great food, great service and the bill was less than expected. My wife and I dined with our two kids (10 & 7). Highly recommend getting the bread plate. We ordered the filet, salmon, Amish chicken, lobster bisque for entrees...... sooooo goood, can t wait to go back.
Food was good, service was slow, prices were high. Limited parking
No better place for duck I've found. Always a very classy and elegant place. Little dark inside but it helps set the mood. My favorite place for a nice date night
The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the cozy atmosphere. It was very welcoming, not too small, not too large, but had a great vibe. Our server was attentive without making us feel like we were being rushed. There was a good selection on the wine menu, and the brussel sprouts and the scallops with risotto were exquisite. This is a great place to meet your friends after work for drinks and dinner. It got crowded after awhile, so you may want to make a reservation.
It was hot in the dinning area and service was so so, food was great!
Mesh is a fairly unique dining experience. The food options/combinations are a little different than most places. It is a lower end upscale dining restaurant where you'll spend a minimum of $13 for a smaller portion of food. Normally not enough for a take home box. The food is very good. This trip I had salmon and couscous. It was the most moist salmon I think I've ever had and the couscous was delicious. The desserts are pretty good, but the are pricey for the portion.
Pros: good food, nice atmosphere, and friendly staff.
Cons: our server was not very good. She had very awkward conversations with us. Portion size is a little on the small side. Mountain dew was not good.
Great food and atmosphere. Had the halibut, was prepared perfectly
Nice ambiance.. But the food was definitely not worth the $106 bill. The food was bland and not seasoned at all. The plating was nice though. 1st and last time going.
It was okay. The atmosphere is upscale and wait staff was attentive, but the food was just average. I had the chicken and waffles (brunch) and it was good, but there was nothing that made it stand out and would make me want to come back again. My wife had the biscuits and gravy, and it was not traditional, in that it used something similar to Italian sausage. So rather than southern homestyle sausage gravy, it was oilier and tasted like sausage from a pizzeria. We had the cheese and fruit platter as an appetizer, which was small for the price, with just 2 types of fruit and cheese, even though more were listed (maybe I just didn't understand what we were ordering). All in all nothing about the place was bad, but nothing was great either. I might go back for another meal time to try more of what they have to offer, but I know I wouldn't go back for brunch.
Awesome restaurant. Amazing food. A tradition for Christmas Eve dinner.
In two words, too expensive. For the price here, there are places I'd much rather go. Cocktails were nice as was the lobster bisque. For a main, ordered fish with shrimp risotto. Expected plating with fish and side. Instead it was all in one bowl and the fish barely visible. Ok amount of shrimp. My risotto was ok, but wife thought her's was overdone. It's hard to justify a return trip to see if it was a one-off.
Cozy, Very Intimate Setting, great servers would definitely eat here again.
Server was really nice.. food was unbelievably bad my wifes chicken was raw in the middle , my fried chicken burned and dry. I will never come here again.
One of the best restaurants in town. Great for a fancy date night.
Bacon & Bourbon. 'Nuff said. Ask Will at the bar for the Commodore. Pure deliciousness. Tell him funny lookin' Dave sent you!
Always love mesh, great service, atmosphere and all that...butttttt, the steak was sooooo small...delicious! ....so was the appetizer, but I bit my teeth trying to find the tiny tuna piece that I'd just thrown into my mouth...well, at least there three more. Love the place but after spending $150 which included 4 glasses of wine, an appetizer, dinner for two and a dessert, I was still hungry and got home and made myself a full plate to eat.
Delicious menu with an extensive selection of dishes.
Food is just meh. And didn't really like the service. They seem to be rushing us....
Excellent service, delicious food and a free cocktail, what's to complain about?
Good food. Excellent service. Decent prices. Nice atmosphere.
Very loud, food was very undercooked and had to be sent back. Service left a lot to be desired
The food was great but not everything was absolutely perfect. But still pretty awesome!
Excellent service and excellent food. Highly recommend it.
Great pricing for lunch and a very nice atmosphere in the private rooms upstairs.
Stopped in for breakfast while having a convention in town, and this place is very good... Great menu, omelette selections are fresh and different... Will stop in next time in town..
Great atmosphere and ambience. Perfect for date night, special occasion or a nice meal. The service was excellent & accommodating. The swordfish was delicious, everyone at the table loved their meal. Hidden gem on Mass Ave.
Very good Food, very loud Crowd in the banquet room next to us. We could barely talk to each other. We just smiled and nodded the whole time.
When the best thing about your $100 dinner for two are the french fries, then there's something wrong. I would not go back here again.
Great Sunday brunch and half price bottles of wine.
Found Mesh after a quick google search for dining on mass Ave. I have to say that was the best meal I have ever experienced eating out. Staff was wonderful. Sarah was taking care of us and knocked it out of the park with service. The food was great! 10/10 will visit again. Thank you!
Group dining has a limited menu, and all the options were fantastic!
Staff very attentive and friendly. We had outside dining. There were heaters to help with the chill. Food was very good.
Great service. Food cake to table quickly. Hubby got and loved the chicken and waffles. I had the lobster bisque (meh) and the brussel sprouts au gratin (yummy).
Good service in an upscale yet hip place. The burgers were excellent and the sweet potato chips were surprisingly good
Way overpriced. I don't know what they're thinking. The food is not good enough for the price.
This is a delightful restaurant. We really enjoyed the atmosphere, food and service
Amazing food! Love that menu changed based on what's in season! That makes a huge difference!
It appears that Mesh will be an Indianapolis culinary experience, but the reality falls far short. You ll pay quirky-local-gastropub prices for what amounts to tempered flavors and cheap choices. For example: the fruit plate amounted to a few thin slices of green apple, oranges, and a couple berries. Perfectly fine, but nothing noteworthy.
Overall, the food is just fine. Between six of us, nothing was outstanding. It was food and the portions were healthy, but having read previous reviews and taking in the atmosphere, Mesh seems like it would stand out. It falls short, unfortunately.
But if you re looking for food at ok prices, it works.
