Merchants Café Review

The Reuben sandwich is the best I've ever tasted. The meat was tender, juicy. With the sauce and sauerkraut, this is by far the best Reuben I've ever had!!! The fries are homemade and seasoning on them is wonderful. Incredibly delicious food! Great service, great food, and the decor very unique. Great use of an old bank. You can't go wrong with this place!!

Merchants Cafe is the best. Each pot of coffee is freshly ground. The breakfasts are all amazing, it's hard to make a decision. My favorite would have to be the Ultimate Skillet or the #4 breakfast combo. We look forward to our visits to Merchant's Cafe!

We stumbled upon this place today and will absolutely return. They serve both breakfast and lunch all day from 6 am to 2 pm. The staff was really friendly.

My husband had an enormous Cowboy Burger which he loved. I had the Senior Battered Cod which, although not my favorite with just lemon which is how I usually eat fish, it was very good with the tartar sauce.

Loved the bank vaults left over from when it was a bank.

Great food. Friendly owner and staff, also great atmosphere. Eaten here 3 times and haven't been disappointed yet. Wish they were open for dinner but glad they are for breakfast and lunch.

Charming and historic eatery. Stopped in for lunch and the food was excellent and our service was friendly too. The atmosphere Is quaint and welcoming!! The menu Is mainly American fare ..breakfast and lunch. Definitely will be going back!!!

New to area. First time eating at Merchants Cafe. Not disappointed. Enjoyed a delicious breakfast, ample portions, hot coffee (always topped-off); genuinely friendly waitstaff, pleasant environment (in an old bank), fair prices. Definitely will return.

This was our 1st time at merchants cafe. They were accommodating of a food allergy, friendly, our food came right away and it was very good.

Had Eggs Benedict Merchants style - and OMG, sooooooo good. Too bad they are over an hour from my house, I would eat there all the time and try everything on the menu. Oh, and the French Dip with Homemade Fries (REAL POTATOES) hit it out of the ball park. Well done guys A+

Delicious breakfast. This cafe is very clean and comfortable. The service is great and friendly. The food is delicious and homemade. I ordered the Florentine Benedict which had perfectly poached eggs and delicious hash browns. This little cafe is unassuming, and definitely worth a stop. What a treat.

Love this place. My family and I go for breakfast during the week in the AM's and its so good. French toast is top notch. Priced well for the qty's you get. Owner is the sweetest and always checking in and insanely polite but down to earth. Never been there when she wasn't working. Lunch/supper menus are super good as well. My only nag is that we wish they were open longer hours.

My boyfriend and I and all of our friends get food here almost every weekend. It has become a staple for us when we all get together. We love the friendly and familiar staff, the incredible food, the cool decor and the kindness they show to us when we have been able to dine in as well as get our food to go. We are looking forward to many more meals in the future.

I ordered food for a family event at my home and the food was wonderful. Very good experience working with Emily and a ton of food for the price. I definitely will be using Merchants Cafe for future catering.

Very nice. Met an old friend and had fun catching up. Reuben was good and the waffle fries dipping sauce was excellent. Service was good too. Altogether an enjoyable experience.

Ordered cod and fries. Unfortunately the fish was very, very crunchy and the fries were not. I've had great breakfast here before but thus was not great.

Food is alright, but I won't be back. I get the impression they don't care about virus safety. Tables way way to close. I was sitting at a table. Place is empty. Group walks in, with out masks. And sits at the table right next to me. They brushed me while sitting down. I'm not going back

Dirty Floors And Restaurant, Never Saw The Manger/Owner Wash Her Hands Once Between Touching Menus, Getting Drinks, Bringing Dirty Dishes To Bus Tubs Basically Where Customers Are Eating, Touching Money/Running Cards Or When You Would Hope They Would Right Before They Bring Out Your Food! GROSS OUT! *Come to find out on 4th of July that when my Aunt ate here a month or two after they opened she witnessed the same unsanitary practices! (She is a Lunch Lady but still, shouldn t take only her to notice these things in an eating establishment!)

My husband and I went to Merchants Cafe for Mother's Day. The place was busy fortunately, we found a lovely high table tucked away near the back of the restaurant. Even better we were off by ourselves and had a lovely window view. We had breakfast which was good but, I think the waitress made our day even more special. We told her it was our first time their and she went way and beyond to make us feel welcome and talked to us for awhile. I would definitely bring my family here for any meal.

Really great place to eat in town. Rustic/farmhouse feel, high top and dining table hight seating, rustic "bar" for breakfast, large delicious portions and great service. Perfect "mom and pop" cafe. The only (minor) ding is that the delicious seasoned sour cream came in a small cup (not enough for my waffle cut fries and merchant's wrap I ordered) so I asked for another. The server informed me it would be extra (really?) and when it arrived it was only half full. Other than that...it was an excellent experience! Really cool unique piece was the historic bank vault doors from the original building!

Great atmosphere. A very warm and welcoming atmosphere. The cinnamon rolls are massive. The breakfast/brunch entrees are tasty. A little greasy. It would would be nice to be able to get a side salad along with your meal. The coffee is not good very similar to church basement coffee. Women owned business is awesome!

This restaurant provides fantastic service and tasty food. My favourite restaurant around town. The drinks and food came out quickly and the prices are inexpensive. I recommend this place.

Great food, great service, our breakfast was amazing.

Went for breakfast, got there shortly after 10:00 and left at 11:30. waited 15 minutes before we were greeted and served drinks, server was just shy of being rude. Our food took over 30 minutes and when we received it my veggie omelet was barely warm, only had veggies in half of it and just barely there at all, toast was burnt and cold, hash browns were cold, husbands french toast was hot but bacon was cold. Not sure we''ll go back. Can't see going for breakfast and getting served just before lunch.

Good breakfast and friendly service. However their COVID-19 protocols, while not stellar, at least used to be in place. Now they are not even trying. Even wait staff and cooks are without masks. Unfortunately we won't return until.post-COVID.

Good Mac and cheese nice flavor in the garlic mashed potatoes and the best and juciest burgers I've ever eaten.

I had the grilled ham and cheese sandwich for lunch. It was great and served hot. The staff was cheerful and smiled. I had some of my wife's fish which was cooked perfectly and taste great too.

Juicy Lucy bad burger dry , I guess they don't get meat delivered , so they do what they can with additives.
