I can't speak for the sales division, but the repair service are a bunch of slimeballs, PERIOD. I was notified about a factory repair that wouldn't cost me anything to fix. My service "advisor" then charged me $370+ for a diagnostic on the entirety of the car. It's cheaper other places. But I figured why not, let the experts take a look at it. What a mistake!!!
After a week I come to find out a quote on my cars "necessary" repairs was over $4000. Perplexed by this I took my car in to another trustworthy Shop I go to, to my shock they said everything was fine and the quote was for tons of bells and whistles and parts that are completely unnecessary at the moment, and is all stuff that won't damage the car severely at all. "Leaks" were actually minor sweating around the pipes, which you should expect at 110k+ miles. My brake fluid was completely fine but was told it was burnt black. I was also told my power steering reservoir and pump was leaking fluid when I had NO stains anywhere and my fluid levels after never changing them On my car were perfect. I was told my timing belt needed to be replaced and my mechanic opened the engine up and sure enough it had a CHAIN. That's the oldest mechanic scam trick in the book and a friggin DEALERSHIP tried to pull that?
The only thing I can sing praises about was the great loaner car I was given at no charge. The people behind the desk were also at least courteous and professional. But I was completely lied to, which is unacceptable.
Not only will I never deal with the service department again, I will HAPPILY march in to a competitor dealership to make sure Mercedes and any of its affiliates never get a dime of my money again. This place will ring you dry to pay their bills. Avoid it like the plague.

Clean and comfortable lounge area with large TV, several pcs with internet connections, coffee bar, etc. This is my 2nd lease and my experience with the first was excellent - including service maintenance - so I expect my 2nd leasing experience to be just as good. Go there if you want to have a great experience with people who know what they're doing. It only took about 2 hours total and there were no surprises. John McCormick, Internet Parts Manager at Mercedes-Benz of Brooklyn, could not have been more helpful, more diligent or more knowledgeable helping me locate and purchase hard-to-find parts for my M-B S600. His service didn't stop after parts delivery either; he was in regular communication making sure things we're received as ordered and that the installation went smoothly. People who own Mercedes-Benz have a particular mindset, made up equal parts quality and a certain service promise inherent in the brand. John seemed to know that instinctively and as a result is a credit to himself, his dealership and to Mercedes-Benz.

The below accurately describes my latest unfortunate disappointing below standard experience with MBBK/ Mercedes Benz of Brooklyn. below experience cannot prove any wrong doing by MBBK, or prove MBBK are responsible of what happened but I cannot explain this and come to any other conclusion.
I had to take the 2017 in for a scheduled service unfortunately I had no little choice with time constraints, I had to go back to a place I swore I wouldn't set foot in again... but this is now the final straw!!
The service light came on, also noticed that the tire pressure warning light also came on, was close to dealership on the Belt Parkway, I called to make an appointment, and great news they could service the car right away.
Service so I thought and fully assumed was done all warning lights off. A week or so later I had to change the tires at less than 12k miles, they were almost bald!
***(The New tires were installed by a professional tire installer not MBBK)
When the new tires were installed I wanted to see the old tires removed and new installed. When removing the old tires we noticed that one of the tires had a chalk mark on it and next to the chalk Mark was there was a large nail in the side wall tread of the tire but and it turned out not to be a chalk mark.
Incredibly we looked closer and discovered it was not chalk as first thought, but, it was actually 'dried rubber foam tire repair sealant' to temporarily repair the tire?
The foam had actually run out of the leak and run down the side wall of the tire, dried in a straight line, after taking the tire off the rim we also found the foam tire sealant'residue on the inside of the tire wall in a kind of dried puddle (inside) therefore showing the car had to physically sit still in the same position(not moving)
Repaing partially, then dangerously concealed the nail.
Now the only people to ever service, change oil, anything was MBBK Mercedes Benz of Brooklyn!!!
Again NO one has has touched the car ever was MBBK!! Mercedes-Benz of Brooklyn.
THIS for me is mind-blowing who would ever dream or connive to do such thing? Why would you let anyone go in this deadly situation especially with a nail in the side wall of my tire

Several hours later I received a phone call from sales representative Jerry Pettito. He was very pleasant and invited us to come to the dealership. When we came in, we were warm welcomed and started our smooth process. From beginning to the end, Jerry was very pleasant, and caring. We felt very comfortable in his hands for the time being there. Writing this review to share my good fortune last week with not only finding that Brooklyn Mercedes-Benz had the exact car I was looking for, but that the purchasing process was better than I ever could have imagined. I was assisted by Jerry Petitto who answered all my questions and made the purchasing process smooth as silk. He was clear, honest, professional, and ensured all of my accommodations were met. The experience with Jerry, Jason, Gorge, and the staff at Mercedes-Benz of Brooklyn made this the absolute best customer service I've ever experienced buying a car. Also, generally speaking the dealership itself is really cool. The waiting area is clean and comfortable, the staff is SUPER friendly, and they serve pizza while you wait. We made an appointment with Victor, the manager, to buy a specific car. When we arrived, the receptionist was not wearing a mask directly next to a sign that said masks were required. Victor was not available, so they sent Jerry to help us. Jerry was very nice, but was not briefed at all on the details we had already arranged with Victor. A lot of time was spent waiting while Victor got Jerry up to speed. It turns out that the car that we came to see was at their Staten Island storage lot and could not be delivered until the next day. They did not bother to check that the car was there prior to making the appointment, so it became a waste of two hours.
The entire time we were shocked by the lack of mask compliance and social distancing by all employees. It was so egregious that we asked my 70-year-old father to wait in the hot car so he would not be at risk. We got out of there as fast as possible. We ended up finding a better deal at a different dealership.
We're in a pandemic. Please put more effort into caring about the well-being of your customers.

A few words about Carl Morin, I am truly glad to have been introduced to her as I had been affiliated with the Manhattan dealership for a number of years and thus had quite a few awesome relationships there. Moving my business to Brooklyn I was really particular about who I would meet and how their dedication to the job and relations with the customers. I must say from the first time I met Carl she made me feel like she was committed to sorting out any and all the issues with my vehicle. She has always been hands on and listens closely to what I have to say about the car ... then she inspects thoroughly and will let you know if anything else is out of line. She has been consistent with making sure I got the best quality work done and I am very appreciative of her being attentive and accountable.

I really like the car and I was in a hurry to get it the same day. He followed up the process of my new car being deliver to this location and made sure that everything was good. Right when I walked in I was greeted by the receptionist and was quickly introduced to the salesman, Matt. I need the extra room and was considering the GL450. He showed me the one on the showroom and went over all the options and features in great detail. We then went on a test-drive. What a great ride. I wasn t able to make my decision right away but Matt was very attentive and kept in touch with me. I came back to Sovereign and Matt was able to give me a really great deal. Due to Covid it took 3 months to get my official Registration on my new GLB. The new Registration/Plates came late Friday afternoon. Saturday morning I needed to get the plates installed as I was traveling to VT the following day and I didn't want to take the chance of being stopped for an expired temp plate. I showed up at MB at 9am. Mark, who I believe is a Service Advisor, greeted me and although I did not have an appointment my MB was well taken care of. The license plates were installed, the car was washed and I was on my way in under 2 hours. The entire team was professional and kind and made what I thought would be a stressful situation, super pleasant. My car was leased in Flemington, NJ but MB of Brooklyn is a much shorter drive from Staten Island. Going forward, my service appointments will be a trip to Brooklyn instead on NJ. Thank you to the entire staff. Keep up the good work..........stay kind!

I did my due diligence and did my research. It was recommended to me to go to a dealer in Long Island, but I thought by going to a dealer in the hood, that I would receive better service, being that the prices for brand new vehicles are the same per corporate.
I was right the service was great, down to earth. My representative (Lin Johnson) helped me from the beginning, the middle and still a month later I send texts to him and receive answers. You re buying a Benz, it s going to cost no matter what you do, so customer service is paramount. Only issue was that a vehicle I was supposed to get sold 5 minutes before I said yes (Hence the 4 stars). Not my representatives fault and not a deal breaker because someone else didn t log it in the system, but I was compensated slightly and they did what they had to do to get a vehicle close to it.
So I got a 2017 GLA 250 4MATIC. Was planning to purchase, but decided to lease with option to buy as many told me after getting that, I will definitely want the newer version after the lease is up. So I didn t want to be locked in. Better to have options. After leasing, I can pay the remainder which will cost me the price of the vehicle without finance charges.

#Episode1: A couple of days ago, I found that Fedex lost my package at Memphis. When I notified this to John at E-bay sales (MBZ of Brooklyn), he made a claim to E-bay on behalf of me. Furthermore, he found a right replacement on the same business day!
#Episode2: Since my mechanic broke one of my front wheel rims, I am in searching of the new parts. Although I did not order anything from MBZ of Brooklyn, John (E-bay department) showed his best customer care and cooperation to find the right OEM part. I leased a 2012 ML350 from Sovereign around 6 months ago and received a Check Engine Light along with a DSR error message a week ago. I brought the car into the service center on Wednesday morning with John being my assigned Service Technician. John was very knowledgeable and curtious to my issue. He was able to resolve the issue very quickly and the whole experience was very smooth and positive. I scheduled my appointment for 8:15am on Wednesday and John was ready for me the moment I arrived with no wait time. I also received a loaner vehicle within 15 minutes and was out the door within 30 minutes. It seems like the service center at Sovereign really have all their ducks in a row to make sure the customer doesn't wait for hours to get processed.
John called me the same day to let me know he found the issue with a bad sensor and ordered the part for next day delivery. He said he would keep me posted on the progress on Thursday. On Thursday morning, I realized I left my EZ Pass in the car and came by the dealership to pick it up. To my pleasent surprise, the car was ready for pickup. This was way better service than I expected and I even received a free car wash on top of that. I definitely did not have this kind of service when I leased my car from a leasing company so this was a great way to go. I'm glad I have such a great dealership next to my house in Brooklyn and would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a new Benz.
The service center gets an A+ in my book as they really know how to set the customer's expectations and underpromise and overdeliver. I wish I can get this kind of service everywhere I go.

WOW, Where do I begin. Horrible!!! Disgusting, Low class! I live in Brooklyn and bought my previous five cars either out of state or through a Leasing Company. This dealership just gave me a fresh reminder as to why. I was given a very good deal on a Brand New Mercedes GL450 by a leasing company. I figured the Leasing company is a broker and has to make their markup, so why not go directly to a Dealer and negotiate a better deal. I scheduled an appointment to Sovereign Mercedes and came in. I was greeted by a receptionist at the front desk and checked in. I was told to wait a couple of minutes for a salesman. After 15 minutes of browsing the showroom I asked the receptionist if the Salesman is coming. She seemed dumbfounded. Then she remembered and apologized saying "this is why I do not do front desk". Then went along how she is not a regular receptionist. She totally forgot to let the salesman know I was there. Finally a salesman came out, shook hands with me then introduced me to his young female associate, who would be helping me. We took a test drive and I told her about previous quotes that I have received. Right of the bat I was told their deal will not be as good as a leasing company. I asked why, and it's because of the "after sales service" that they apparently provide. I told them I was only interested in the car and not after sales service. Finally they said that they will meet or beat any quote I received if I showed them on paper and if I refuse after sales service. Such as carwashes etc. The next four days I received numerous calls from Sovereign Sales associates, people I haven't dealt with at the dealership, asking me how I was treated and if I was ready to buy or why I haven't yet. I said I was, if the numbers are right, every time. Finally, on the last day of the Holiday Mercedes Sales Event, I got a call from my sales girl saying she found me a car. Well, the deal was for a lease that was over $250 a month more, with higher out of pocket than the quote I just received from an out of state dealer in Ohio for a similar MSRP car, as well as over $240/month higher than a local leasing company. She said she will try to do better and call me back. In about 5 minutes I get another call from Sovereign, this time from a Salesman I never dealt with before. The first thing he asked is "when is the bus to Ohio" I figured I'll let that slide if the numbers are close. He started working on the price and in the meantime asking me If I was in sales, as if that mattered. Very cocky guy. Finally he started asking me about the deal I was quoted by another dealer. I gave him the numbers; MSRP, cap cost, residual, money factor. He then said "Oh you are one of those guys with computer programs that calculates everything" I said yes I'm one of those but I can do the deal on paper. Then he said for me to be careful if I didn't get a Vin # from another dealer. When he finally realized that I'm not willing to pay substantially more, he stated "we don't need customers like you" and hung up the phone. This is exactly the reason why I never bought a car from a Brooklyn dealership. Since the days of Crazy Eddy, not much has changed. You'd be very mistaken if you think that in this day and age of the internet, reviews and so many tools available to the public, there would be a level playing field, there would be no place for crooks and shady dealers. You'd be very wrong. I don't normally write reviews, but my experience at Sovereign Mercedes compelled me to write this. Do yourself a huge favor if you are thinking of buying a Mercedes, stay away from this dealership. Don't even do a test drive here. I don't even service my car in Brooklyn. There are plenty of great dealers and leasing companies out there. Find them on the Mercedes Boards or call around NJ/CT. One last time, Stay Away from Sovereign!

Ive had the best experience at Mercedes Benz of Brooklyn. This is all due to Johnson, which has helped me every step of the way. I highly recommend speaking to him for any Mercedes Benz inquiries. From explaining the process before i showed up to after purchasing my c300coupe, he is still there to answer any question i have. He is the a phenomenal person and Mercedes Benz is lucky to have him as a part of their team. He has opened my eyes to the greater things in life, which is Mercedes. I am beyond amazed by Mercedes. Mercedes Benz of Brooklyn is highly recommended. Im sure ill be purchasing my next car from there as well!
