Meletio Lighting and Electrical Review

Hahahahaha!! Well, I even read the reviews before I called and decided since it was on a standard sized white replacement glass globe for a fixture, surely I could get an answer on the phone to save me travel time if they didn't carry it. The woman was curt, asked for manufacturer or part number (which I didn't have), then transferred me to hang up. I guess they can't work phones but judging from these other responses, not going to waste my time to try and call back which I'm assuming would take multiple attempts. It's quicker for me to write this since their page was already up on my computer and maybe they can get better training on their phones.

I didn't read previous reviews until this morning or I would've expected the lousy service I received. My husband and I visited Meletio last Friday morning looking for a specific under cabinet light I found online. We walked in the main doors and wandered through the showroom like lost children. There were two or three employees sitting around chatting with a single customer. No one acknowledged our presence. We made our way to the back where the lights were on display and while the guys back there were somewhat busy..all had one customer, we still were not acknowledged. My husband finally asked what we needed to do to get help and the guy indicates to grab one of the girls at the front or wait until one of the guys at the back were available. I went back out to the front and couldn't find a soul. While my husband was still waiting at the electrical counter the guy he'd asked for help calls out the name of a regular customer that had just walked in and asked him if he needed help...completely ignoring my husband who had been standing there!

Unfortunately we were under a deadline so we did purchase the lights from them, but I will never give them another dime!

I went in this place looking for pendant lights for my kitchen. Didnt see what I wanted but I did see a floor lamp that I liked. Told the lady at front desk i wanted to purchase it. We walked over to the lamp she took a look at the price tag and asked me was I sure I wanted to purchase. I said yes then she proceeded to ask 2 more times was I sure I wanted to buy it. I replied yes, do you not want to sell it to me? She replied let me talk to my boss. Boss said they would not sell it because it was the last one in stock. I'm used to if something has a price tag on it it's for sale.

Great store! They have lots of unique fixtures an super helpful and knowledgable staff. Go here no matter what your lighting needs are!

People at the counter or totally rude don't even want to take the time to hear your question just want to tell you they don't have it

Probably one of the worst shopping experiences of my life. Do your self a favor, skip this place and go straight to Home Depot. Once was a great place to find your Electrical needs back in 2000. Now inexperienced staff with attitudes, A barrel of Monkeys could do a better job than these Clowns...

We just came from Meletio Lighting at 10930 Harry Hines Blvd, Dallas, Tx.
We could not get the staff to help us or answer our questions. The answers were short and curt.
We asked if they carried the "Elite" brand. The response was yes. We asked, where are they displayed?
The response was "it is not displayed, there just another carrier".
My wife asked for a price list and the guy said you have to tell me how many you want.

Customer Service was absolutely horrible starting from the operator to the sales agent who repeatedly stated "I don't know" for every question I asked. I never understood how you can work for a company and not know the products/inventory being sold.

went looking for an outdoor fan Taylor Johnson was very helpful got us a fan followed up with a call to let me one of the parts wouldnt be in until late afternoon so i wouid not waste a trip to pickup my order great place to do business with thank Taylor

We went there to buy light fixtures for our home. The people don t know how to talk to and treat the customers and they are very rude and mean as though we are at their mercy. I d never go back here again.

Friendly staff. Great selection of products. Triple check your order at every step of the way to be sure it is correct and complete.

Great place, not a lot of stores carry electrical and decorative in one place! from landscaping fixtures to all the interior lighting, it fits all the budgets.

Wow, just got off the phone with these guys. The person I spoke to sounded so depressed and annoyed with my questions. Was not helpful at all. I hope whoever I spoke to is okay and I hope he's not going through too much personal drama, but you cant bring that to work. Very unprofessional, I will never contact this store again.

Your advertisement signs are working; I wouldn't of seen your business if it wasn't for your open to the public signs! lol

I tried to purchase a ballast for an older fluorescent fixture. They had none in stock. "Shelby" at the parts desk repeatedly informed me she would order one. I was never contacted again. After repeat calling, I was told it would be ordered, was being checked into, etc. She then claimed it would be free (for their delay and negligence!). Over a month has passed. Nothing ever arrived.. I finally had to order one, myself, on line. Worst (and strangest) customer service i have ever experienced.

Purchased some glass globes and chrome light sockets that go around them. I searched everywhere for the shape of the globe I wanted and luckily I found it online and they carried it. Didn't know I could purchase a socket that matched my fixture until website suggested it. Brought a sample first to try out and it was perfect.

Bought a great deal from Meletio. Good products, helpful service. Then why two stars? When buying in large quantities, their bookkeeping and invoicing is beyond terrible and not worth it. Even they could not accurately tell me how much i owed them for months.

If you want to pay top dollar for lighting, little to no customer service, zero communication, no knowledge of back ordered product already purchased, poor tracking, poor warehousing and completely no resolution or accountability for their shortfalls... Then this is the place for you!!

Well IT S ALL BOARDED UP AND THIS GOOGLE LISTING DOESN T REFLECT THAT. Weird no one at that company cares update their google listing for potential customers who go out of their way to go to their store that says its OPEN when it s not.

Tonia Martinez has been extremely helpful, friendly and professional in working with her on remodel office lighting project. She's very knowledgeable about lighting and the products. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Called and got hung up on first by a guy named Derek and next by a lady names Tanya, WOW. What terrible service, God bless these people they sound depressed and completely unhappy.

Great selections. Even if they don t have it in the showroom, they can get it ordered in about a week. Ask for Stephanie!!

Shopping at Meletio Lighting was like a Breath of Fresh Air after being stagnated in a Sea of Confusion...

We installed an island hood vent in the middle of my kitchen and the two existing (incredibly-lovely, but large) pendant lights no longer went with the sleek new look of the brushed stainless hood vent. I knew I wanted something more special than just a Big Box lighting solution, and was willing to pay what it took to find just the right look. So I spent hours (and hours!) on the internet, trying to find something I liked that would go with the hood vent AND the rest of my decor. I even got my husband to look... a lot of internet time spent, but nothing jumped out.

On a whim, I took photos of my kitchen situation and trotted over to Meletio to see what they could suggest. The receptionist was lovely and immediately asked me what I needed. Overwhelmed by the unique fixtures in the showroom, I decided to browse a bit, to see if I could find something on my own. Wow. What fun lighting! And at all price points... something for everyone, if you will. Anyway, I settled on some creative canned lighting and waited at the back desk for help. In fairness, all the guys there were busy... so I decided to toddle back over to the decorative lighting and ask for help.

I asked the receptionist for a lighting consultant who might have some suggestions for my kitchen. She introduced me to Jessica Almany. Boy, was I lucky!! Jessica listened carefully as I described what I was looking for, showed her the canned lighting I thought might work, and went over the pictures of my kitchen and adjoining room on my phone. Then Jessica went to work...

This is the reason why I am taking the time to write this review: Out of the (literally) thousands of possible lighting solutions/fixtures, Jessica nailed it on the very first one she pulled up on her computer. And best yet, it wasn't one I would have thought of... but looking at her suggestion, I thought "of course! That's perfect!!" What are the chances of that happening? Even better yet, it was much, much less $$ than what I thought I would have to spend.

The two pendant lights Jessica suggested have been ordered, picked up, and installed. They honestly look better than I could have either envisioned or hoped for. Jessica, my dear, you have a true gift... had I known, you could have saved me hours and hours from a multi-day but fruitless internet search. Oh, and Jessica was very helpful and creative on a number of other lighting and electrical issues I need solved around the house (like what kind of additional electrical outlets would work in the kitchen). Apparently, Jessica works with a number of the home builders around town, so she is very up on new trends and technology. (Hint: if you want to do something electrical in your existing home that you never thought was possible, stop by to see what's new... there are so many recent technical innovations that solve age-old electrical problems.)

You better believe I'll be back to Meletio Lighting again (and again and again).

Called 2 weeks ago and put in a box order for specialty light bulbs, very small items. The guy put in my order and said it would come in 1-2 days. It has since been 2 weeks and nobody has answered the phone the past 6 times I've called, answered my contact email, or my voice mail I left on their company line. I finally got a hold of someone today and they could not find my name in the system anywhere, not even an order placed, or a past invoice from ALL my past purchases. At least an apology would've been appreciated, but apparently it's my problem. Now I have to hopefully see if I can scrap out a box from storage to locate these lights I have already purchased. If someone had taken the time to contact me back we could have avoided a long wait for nothing.
