Bad, They charged my card even though my mother and I spoke to them, informing them that my mother would make the payments and I would pay for my car repairs only. They managed to not only charge my card but also charged it for the amount my mother already paid. When asked why they had no clue. I pay on time all the time and this one time I don't they try to screw me over. THEN SAID THEY DON'T HAVE TO GIVE ME A REFUND FOR WHAT I WASN'T SUPPOSE TO BE CHARGED FOR BACK. SMH JUST PATHEIC AND THIS CAME OUT THE MANAGERS MOUTH, DERICK WASHINGTON.

Sold me a truck with supposed to be a clean no problem carfax and no mechanical problems and 2nd day with the truck the driveshaft flies out from under it on Highway so I found one for 50$ and replaced 3rd day i had truck died on highway had every light in the gauge cluster came on opened hood and the main engine wiring harness was hanging off computer they had broken the all the connector clips had check engine light on and they said it was just the gas cap lied evaporated vacuum was messed up because somebody opened it and pinched the diaphragm and I got to looking harder whole engine wiring harness was not where it was supposed to be and was strung out everywhere and improperly ,they lied said it had no problems but clearly they threw a motor in it and the motor had a different year wrote on it in yellow ink marker like junkyards do the motor ended up throwing a rod in friends driveway and they said they'd get me a vehicle in 3 days 3 weeks went by and they ignored me and tried to make me pay for a motor when I've been walking to work for 3 weeks payed them 900 down and 3 payments of close to 200 a week tried to make me pay when I couldn't even use the vehicle told them i dont want to do buisness with rhem they said fine well cancel tax and evereything and now im trying to file my tax return and they charged me the tax so now I owe on my tax return when I'm needing it more than ever I'm going to sue these people

I WOULD GIVE 0 iIF ALLOWED, but it s not. Update from my previous rant and issues with this unprofessional company. I am also going to attach emails that I have yet to get a response. So since the last review the company and I came to an agreement which did not have a time frame on it because they wouldn t allow me out the contract. So basically it stated I would get an estimate from a mechanic of my choice as long as it was pertaining to the same issues prior to MEI repairing my vehicle. Not even a week goes by and I had emailed the check engine light was on again and I was looking for a mechanic to give me an estimate and try within my busy schedule during the week. (email attached & Robert did respond at this time)Plus I was going on vacation. Once I was able to get an estimate I was told it has been 4 months,which admittedly it has, but I did have the estimate and again the agreement did not have a time frame. I was also sending emails in between this time and never received a response. So finally july 1st 2019. I receive a response,which stated the MEI mechanic would have to look over the same issues they have so called repaired. I have emailed Robert Wilson Richard, as well as Jacob Long responding on July 2 2019 & have not received a response. That just the repairs!! Smh, lets get to the payment dept of this unprofessional organization. I had an employment change on 5/28, and contacted MEI for due date change aka DDC. The first person I spoke to for the request, Yasmine, asked me to send the offer letter. So I sent it and awaited a response email. Also sent a request of confirmation. Nothing. I went from semi monthly to monthly and all I wanted was a DDC, to avoid the harassment of payment calls. I never received a response back. I called later the week and spoke to a woman, Nadia, who stated she was my account manager . She stated to me that for some odd reason my email was never received,(go figures with this company) so she asked me to send the same info to her. She also said it would have to be reviewed, ok. At first I was having issues because I was told by my employer I would unable to retrieve my offer letter, luckily, my supervisor had a copy, so I sent that to Nadia on June 21,2019 and again, requested a response. Nothing til this day. But what did I get right after the 4th of July? The same harassing call of making my payment. Then threatening to shut my car off. After I have been waiting for a freaking response?!! I have asked for them to notate my account but being the company they are, there are very little notes, only showing that I asked for them to stop calling and other nonsense, but leaves out the other important information. Oh, and today 4/5 I recorded a gentleman who stated my account manager changes depending on the length of delinquent...really?!! If this doesn t frustrate you all then you are better than me. I believe I have been more than patient and correspondent with them as far as communicating. Well I will keep you all updated but if I were you I WOULD RUN FAR THE OTHER DIRECTION FROM THIS PLACE!! DONT BELIEVE THE FALSE 5 STAR REVIEWS, MAJORITY ARE 1 STAR. THOSE ARE FACTUAL REVIEWS!

I should have read the reviews before I ever stepped foot there. I don t even know where to start. Rude, unprofessional unbothered is the best way to describe the people who work here. They lie just to get you in the car and they lie once you give them the keys back to fix it. Btw anything you have done there they tell you it takes two days no matter what it is but be lucky if you get it in that time. They offer no rental or a car to borrow for the time not even when they ve exceeded the time frame they quoted you. They make sure you make your payments rather the vehicle is working or not. Save yourself and look elsewhere

This company employs the most unprofessional, disrespectful people. Their customer service is terrible and they take advantage of good people. This company finances the oldest cars, with the highest prices and expects you to take disrespect from their employees when you call in with a problem. Their entire staff need to be retrained on what customer service really is. I called in to submit a payday change Nov 2018 and I was treated me like i was scum. No one has yet to submit that payday change. They also place you on "a brief hold"......for hours, so you cant speak to a manager or someone of superior status and then they hang up on you. I will be making reviews across the internet until this issue is corrected.

Truck was a lemon period, then they stick me in a car. 1 1/2 later, I've replaced starter, brake booster, had head lights rewired, brake lights rewired, now they need rewiring. A/c unit is completely gone, car has many more issues. Talked to manager & he says they'll get me a loaner, because I'm a good customer & I've referred over 9 people, been up there twice since hesh said that & got run around, talked to mechanic & he says we'll you have 100,000 miles. The manager told me to bring it in & they'd take care of it. LIE!! I paid $100 (deductible) to get the car fixed through a shop (sent on behalf of M.E.I)... The car drove worse than before it got "fixed". They keep timing the car out because they're not reading the notes on my file. All they want is money for these raggedy cars. I wish I would've read the reviews before I drove 200 miles to come to this ratchet lot. WARNING!!!! DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM THESE INCONSIDERATE CROOKS!!!!!! Look out for Rockett & Jessica. My car went out on me yesterday. I keep up with all my maintenance so I have no idea why it would stop while driving. I've had my car for 2 years and I've always made all payments on time. I spoke with Aniyah this morning and she was very helpful. I will update my review as I go through this process. Overall, I've had a good experience with this company. I know nothing comes for free but I'm hoping they will work with me to get me back rolling.

My experience with MEI. I have horrible credit but I do have a secure paycheck every month. I needed a car, and hopefully a dependable car ASAP. I was referred by a friend and she gave me the number. I gathered my documents and made the call and explained my circumstances and the response was WE GOT YOU . I paid $700 down $600 towards car, $100 towards insurance and purchased a 2015 Hyundai Elantra. I set up automatic pay which went through today exactly as MEI said it would. The car fax showed 2 previous owners, Illinois & Nebraska. The seats were stained is the only negative thing. It shows that the car was in a minor accident, looking over the repairs I m more than satisfied including replacement parts. The front bumper was missing a clip on each side, I purchased adhesive for $7 at Walmart and drove in all conditions
and it s still perfect. Set in normal mode gas mileage at 40! I m more than happy with my experience, my car, and MEI reports to credit agency!!!
Because of this one experience, MEI will be the only dealership I purchase from in Arlington.

I have had my car for a couple of months now. I m changing my 5 star to a 1 Star for a couple of reasons. The guy that I spoke to on the phone at MEI and he thought he was funny when he answered the phone to me and cleared his throat for 60 seconds, wouldn t disrespect me like that in person, FYI. Second, worms and black bugs hatched out of trunk and under backseat, while we took out all the seats for cleaning, we noticed the carpet flooring was black, it s supposed to be blue. The car was a biohazard and I have had my children in the backseat! Do not buy a car from here, and if you do, don t forget to remove the GPS/starter interrupt system ;-)

Part 1 11/12/2017. got a car with MEI few years ago. 2013 Kia Rio with decent miles maybe 70k. They did take a long time to get me a loan but where flexible. Granted I went on a Saturday. I did feel rush during the process, but I got a decent car. Customer service at that time was little rude and off. But slowly I noticed they got better. I paid my car on time and I m late every once in a while. I ve deferred one payment but for the most part everything good.
Part 2 10/30/2019 so few days ago I had a accident and I came in. Now I m due for a trade in anyway. They not only waived my deductible but I didn t have to put anything down and they took my busted old car. I m little worried about the new one I got but for the most part MEI ( the guys at auto max) have been friendly and supportive. Hoping everything turn out great. If this car is a good pick and runs well Ill change my stars. This could just be buyers nervousness. Hahah let hope for e good part 3

THIS PLACE IS OFF THE CHARTS HORRIBLE DO NOT BUY A TRUCK FROM HERE !!!! bought our truck 9/11 took it back on 9/12 , needed a whole new fuse box which they said was not covered under warranty , paid 790$ to get fixed our self, then on 9/14 the truck broke down and ended up needing a new purge valve , was covered under warranty so brought it up to MEI , they took almost 3 weeks just to put a purge valve in , the day we got it back , we couldn t even make it home with the truck. THEN.. it needed a whole new transmission , took these people 8 weeks to put in transmission !!!!! Then 2 days after getting it back again it messed up so we asked for our money back or either a vehicle swap and now they are saying they can t do anything to help us !!! Start leasing a truck from them in February and it's now November and the transmission went out in the truck. A repair of nearly $3200.Mind you I have not ever been late on my payments at all. Actually was told by them I had excellent car payment history only to not be accommodated. After research several trucks of this make and model were recalled for this matter. Called in to speak with the account mngr which is basically the reps that answer calls and take payments. Talked to a Katrina whom offered nothing but ghetto attitude and rudeness through out the call. At that point I was over the whole thought of even trying to keep the truck. I advise you if you're not in the business of getting ripped off then stay clear off this dealership. Won't ever recommend this place to anyone. Very poor customer service and offer bad vehicles

My car began falling apart, i.e. trim, mirror, front grill, etc. The manager James Brown appeared to be an alcoholic and couldn't get our paperwork straight to save his life. We had to keep calling (they were always in a meeting). The communication between Mr. Brown and his manager/supervisor was deplorable. I was always being transferred to someone else. We had to redo the contract 3 times. The pricing that was given to us was a lie. And to (CASSANDRA H.) watch what you say. These consumers are having the same difficulties and it DOESN'T MEAN we don't make our payments. STUPID COMMENT.

I have been with MEI for a little over a 1 1/2 years nothing but issues. Customer Service SUCKS, they are so RUDE. I have never spoken to any company that is so RUDE. Even if they have bad service at least the customer service was decent. NOT with MEI. They suck. Give you the run around every time you call.
I called in 8/23 for them to pick up their vehicle. Here it is 9/11 and I'm still calling and waiting. When I called they told me to put the keys in the car and lock it. That is what I did, they were supposed to come to pick it up within 2 days...NOPE. I returned a call from Walter Saturday 9/8 and he assured me the car will be picked up by the end of the weekend. I get up for work Monday 9/10 car still there. I called and spoke to Walter yet again and he states I am on the list and it will be picked up today. So here it is 9/11 afternoon and the car still sits in front of my house. REALLY???? So I call them almost 1p 9/11 Spoke to 4 different people due to them hanging up HELLO!!!!!!!! I have my information 4 different times. The last RUDE a** person I spoke to Raquel I believe she said. She stated that they transferred my case to her REALLY???? What happened to Walter? See a prime example of the customer service. I will never deal with them again! I was never late on my payments. When I changed jobs I had to call them every 2 weeks and let them know I was paying my payment in another 7 days.

Unfortunately as a first time car buyer we learned our lesson with this company. Not only were they money hungry. They had no care about the people they sell to and will leave you stranded to deal with all the finance. We purchased our 2012 Jeep Liberty on February 2017. Put money down, never missed a payment nor were we late. The staff was unhelpful once we drove off the lot unless it had to do with them getting their money. So buyer be ware at your own risk with this company.

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS unreliable used dealership. The first car I bought from them, the car was burning oil and my daughter and I got stranded 7 times trying to drive from North Dallas to Arlington. A side note, I uses my car to drive to work and my kidney dialysis center where I do my treatments for my kidney. After looking at the first car, they decided they could not fix s it so they put me into another car with low mileage. The second car had issue with the alternator and now, after getting my oil change (since the warming light was telling me to get it change) it started to burn oil and now its broke down. I will take them to court to get all my money back for the damaged that they cause in regards to my health. Today is Friday and I m not able to go to my treatment. Do NOT BUY A CAR FROM THEM.

Completely incompetent finance group. Tried to repo my truck because they were trying to take funds from the wrong account (even though I called and changed to the proper account.) And are also very upset "the GPS tracker" was unplugged.... Guess I know what fell out of my dash now lol. Securing a component like that with electrical tape (that also fell out of the dash) probably isn't a fantastic idea... Fools. Wouldn't purchase another vehicle here if it were a brand new viper for 3k... Don't waste your time. Also the truck is falling apart way before their 15k warranty that they refuse to do anything about.

It is terribly sad that people come to work everyday and find enjoyment in treating innocent hard working people, wrong. I wish that I could post an audio of how they speak to their customers. Do not spend your hard earned money here. Trust me when I say that is not worth it and will only cause a tremendous amount of stress. At times, we fall down, become desperate and settle. PLEASE reconsider - as I am considering returning my vehicle.

They call every hour all day every day! One of there tow contractors destroyed the front end causing $2,400.00 in damage. They still will not work with you! They also use tracking systems on what junk they sell. Bottom feeding Lousy pieces of DUNG. Places like this take advantage of people.

This company is the WORST! They have you sign paperwork right in front of them, put it in the system and STILL do what they want. They have twice now put me in a situation with my account with NO recourse whatsoever AND after giving them a referral have delayed giving me my $100 now for over a month! I will never do that again and I am looking at getting another vehicle altogether or at minimum refinancing with someone else because they take advantage of good customers. The vehicle is nice which is why I gave the one star but its had issues they have had to repair for free since they keep patching it up, and they have horrible customer service. I am TO DONE!

I have had a good experience with the customer service and finance department since 2015 UNTIL NOW THAT I AM ABOUT DONE PAYING OFF MY LOAN apparently your account gets transferred to new department when your almost done and get the worst customer service i owe about 5k left on my loan and i sometimes am late a week or so not OFTEN AT ALL! its funny becuase i usually make my payment about a week earlier than they are due smh ! But i get a call to my job the next day after due date threatening the receptionist that if i didn't make my partial payment of $135 she was going to send someone out to repo my car after 1pm the same day.... the very next day after the due date and not only that it was a partial payment that was due not even the whole payment was past due! so i called and complained and and right after that the same account manager who threatened not only called my boss line directly and receptionist BUT called all my references! this is crazy i was thinking about staying loyal to them and purchasing a newer car soon but i will gladly take my business elsewhere!

I've had the worst experience with the repair shop for this company. The name has changed but the service appears to be the SAME as the previous, auto max. I purchased a car from them on July 24th and less than two weeks later it broke down and had to be towed for repairs right as I was reporting to them that it was showing signs of my transmission slipping as well as a few other things. Next, I had to literally act a fool to get them to give me a loaner. When I finally got one, it had no air conditioning and Texas weather was in the 100's! They switched it to one with ac but a hard ride and a gas guzzler! They kept my car for a month plus and it wasnt until I threatened to either get an update on what's wrong and a date of when I'm getting my car back or put me into something else is when I'm told my car repairs needed was being held up waiting on parts for my transmission which changed to needing to replace it to its nothing wrong with the transmission but its now my timing belt needed replacing and my rotors turned. Wow, what?? Transmission to engine and for a part my car don't even have. My ford fiesta has a timing chain, Richard!. But it gets better. In the next few days of it needing a timing belt, suddenly, its ready to be picked up. Repairs done. Well why?? when I asked for something in writing to show what they did, Richard, the so call manager of the shop said since I didn't pay for repairs there is no paperwork. Who does that? I asked him to Create something to list of what was done and he refused! Shady people like auto max now MEI one in the same should not be in business. My car issues were still the same as you know it would when i got it back and now its is with Ford who has confirmed that none of what I was told that was done was not and I have it in writing! My car does have transmission problems amd still under warranty so won't have to pay however do you think this will make any difference to them, i.e., me knowing they did nothing after having my car for over a month! No they don't. They have no integrity! The business is designed to take peoples hard earned money and screw them over! I will not rest until I see them out of business!!
