This place is so good and the staff of mecl is very nice.

Nice cool and calm place. Resides here the IT Department also.

Most beautiful place in nagpur great surrounding only exploration service given in a country. Good Staff nice canteen ,infrastructure is also good. Management is very co-operative and employee friendly.PLZ VISIT....ONCE

The office is well constructed I have done Internship at MECL so I can tell you that it got good staff.

One of the biggest central government offices in Nagpur . Offers good facilities to the employees .Had a high held indian flag which is th center of attraction for the place.Besides a Pnb bank with ATM facility.

Typical government office with lethargic staff, especially unprofessional HR. But office premise is awesome and very huge.

The building is old surrounded mostly by trees and is quiet place and premise has the biggest Indian flag furling in Nagpur.

The Ministry of Mines is responsible for survey and exploration of all minerals, (other than natural gas and petroleum) for mining and metallurgy of non-ferrous metals like aluminium, copper, zinc, lead, gold, nickel etc. and for administration of the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957 (MMDR Act) in respect of all mines and minerals other than coal and lignite. There are 1 Attached Office, 1 Subordinate Office, 3 Public Sector Undertakings (PSU), 3 Autonomous Bodies and some more agencies work under the aegis Ministry of Mines.

Main office of Mineral Exloration Coorporation Limited (MECL), an Indian mini-ratna company; requires personal vehicle or taxi to commute to and fro as it's away from the main city. It has a well kept main office building with the great collection of Rock samples at its foyer and a nearby training centre. The food is available in a canteen at cheap rate.

Since the building lacks proper air conditioning, it can be tough during the summer and rainy season. Not many food outlets are anywhere near by.

Geologist can apply for post throught GATE exam score.

It is a corporate office working on exploration of minerals in India. Good cooperative staff. Not a public space. Admission restricted.

PSU .. during the little interaction with employee, they found to be very good and helpful ..

Lackadasial attitude of HR dept. towrds resolving the queries related to recruitment.

Recruitmnt procedure lacks transparency or I can say it's bogus as it seems it require quite a lot references no matter how 'top notch' candidate you are. I suggest neither to squander your precious time nor to keep hopes in case you have applied for some job here without any refernces.

Here the proof I have attached of the negligence of HR dept. As a normal procedure for any recruitment process an organization shortlist the eligible candidates and call them for interview for the final selection. But MECL has directlely published the list of selected canddaites for the post procuerment and contract officer without any prior notification to public.

Later I contacted the HR dept and asked the reason for deviation from normal procedure, they carelessly stated that they personally informed the shorlisted students and interview were conducted.

At that moment I asked that being a PSU they have to publish information on public platform unlike any private company. therefore without specifying the criteria for selection of candidates they disconnected the line.

It was enough to prove that something was fishy in recruitment process. Later when they realized their mistake they uploaded the list of candidates called for interview in BACK DATE inserted the link for the same somewhere between the old notifications. Even though the chronolgical order of the notice date doesn't matches the previous uploaded notices in sequence.

So this incident confirms the bogus recruitment process and thats my story IAm sharing with you all

The personnel of MECL are really helpful and security staff also. A large campus with its scenic beauty and flying tricolor Indian flag is glorified more this CPSE in the metro city Nagpur.

Everyone staff members are polite . Everybody is busy with his official work.They work calmly n quietly.results in to higher output.

A nodal agency for detailed Mineral exploration for nation's growth. It's a Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under Ministry of Mines. It also classified as prestigious Miniratna category of companies.

Account department used to harras all contractor by delaying payment to to three months . This comment specially for Nagpur Head office

Old government building with poor infrastructure. Worst canteen..unwanted security...under utilisation. Old lifts

Good for employees who want to work in government sector

Old building. Drinking water inside the office is a little disappointing. You can consume only when it is cool it else the water tastes bad.
Building needs maintenance. Not all the elevators function, but still okay. Canteen food is bad, but for 15-20 rupees you can't expect better. Green cover is good. That's the saving grace in fact.
