Excellent experience for the kiddos. It's hit or miss whether you arrive as a bus of kids is unloading. Pretty sure you leave with everybody's germs. They have a lot of hand sanitizer stations around, which is nice and helpful. They could do a better job of policing areas and keeping toys in the proper area. For example, "Where is the play food? Oh, it's floating in the water toys." Some of the toys are old and need to be thrown in the washing machine or replaced. The poor dogs in and chicken in the Vet area look like they've contracted the mange from all the kiddos.

Super cool place. Perfect for families. SuperIMAX theatre was amazing. Saw the film about the ocean. Will go back soon. First time visiting. Ran out of time. Tons of space and things to learn about. Never made it to the 2nd and third floors. Very impressed.

I love the McWane Center! I have been going there periodically since I was in early high school (which is about when it opened). It takes me back to my childhood and I love to get to see my kids experience it too!

Science? Awesome! IMAX dome sci-fi movies? Fantastic! Staff? I don t know why they re there; they certainly aren t doing anything! We attended a 7 PM movie showing in the IMAX dome for the first time recently. Our excitement at the prospect quickly dwindled as we tugged on the first large set of doors and found them to be locked. A young lady on the other side of the foyer pointed for us to continue around the side of the building. Okay, weird, but whatever; it s late, of course they ll lock a set of doors and keep people confined to one entrance and exit. We hurried through the rain to the next bank of glass doorways - again, locked. This time, a gentleman sitting at a desk on the other side of the foyer pointed for us to continue going along the building. Confused, we trudged to the very corner of the building, seeing no other entrances, and glanced down a side street at the impassive side of the science center. Definitely not getting in there. We walked back to that second set of doors and tugged on all of them. The man yet again just pointed off to the side. We went back that way again and found a single, unmarked side entrance that at first glance seemed to lead to the very obviously closed food court. This door opened! Finally inside, we walked across the foyer and the guy, still sitting, just chuckled. We were the only patrons in the building at this time. We crossed the hallway, walking in front of a concession stand where two young ladies were sitting and watching us, and couldn t figure out where to go because everything was cordoned off. We headed upstairs, had no luck, went back downstairs and decided to ask the concession ladies. Down the stairs to the right. We looked right; there were some stairs, yep, but they were cordoned off. She checked our tickets and told us to go ahead, so we hesitated before ducking under the barrier and heading downstairs to the theater.

Super excited for the experience! But definitely had a damp wet blanket thrown over it by some incredibly lackluster employees.

Incompetent, ride broke down and the attendant said she couldn't leave the ride to go get help. We're stuck upside down hurting from the seat belts and what, you're just going to let us suffer until someone notices?

Amazing. Tons of interactive things to do, great to bring your kids to. Fun for both adults and children. It has an Imax theatre as well, the kind of the ceiling. Warning though: it gets pretty loud, so don't bring infants or toddlers in without the ear protection at the front desk.

Great place to take the kids. Tons of educational toys and exhibits. Itty Bitty Magic city is fun for smaller children. Don't miss the aquatic exhibit downstairs on the basement level. If you're going to go more than twice in a year, it makes sense to get a membership.

The center is great, but we went for a field trip and there were a couple of other schools that day...so, a few hundred kids running around (some unsupervised) wasn't what I'd call fun. And, we didn't get an option for lunch. It was chicken bites, small bag of plain chips, small pack of gummies, and a small bottle of water...with 0 napkins and 2 little packets of ketchup . They do have an open stingray and shark "petting tank" which was really cool though! I would definitely suggest going on a day when they don't have several schools scheduled to be there.
