My server was the worst ever. I asked for a drink menu and was told they didn't have one but when I went to the Hostess I received one. He gave my date and myself the wrong food and when I received my order I got flour instead of corn tortillas. The drink was $10 I should have ask to see the glass because it was very small. I will never return to the Skillan and Walnut Hill location...

Sunset fajitas are so amazing. Service was okay and location a little plain but who cares when the food is so good.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant! I really love to eat their sunset style chicken enchiladas, the best thing I have ever tasted. I love the friendly vibe and atmosphere. I really also loved my server Manuel Enciso, he was very polite and served me well, made sure my experience was great and fast. He's a great server. I will keep eating here it's my favorite

Upscale chain with creative Tex-Mex meals. Very popular with families and groups. Try the jalapeno margarita - it's my favorite.

As always Excellent! Tacos Mi Tierra, Shrimp Ceveichi and Guacamole consistently FANTASTIC. Service was warm and friendly just like one of the family. A wonderful late lunch date with my wife. The patio was great too not too hot with the fans and shade, no sweating even with the outside temp.

This was our worst experience ever at a Mi Cocina. We arrived at 9 pm and they weren't very busy. We asked to sit on the patio and only 3 or 4 other tables were occupied so this gave us the false illusion that we might be served in a timely manner...not so. We sat there for about 10 mins hoping someone would come take our drink order. We watched a manager seat another party about 8 minutes into our wait and they ordered and received drinks while we were still waiting. I finally flagged down an employee that was bussing an adjacent table whom said he would go tell them to send a server out. The next irritating thing was when the server got my order wrong. Also, my husband ordered a salad and they brought out the wrong dressing. The manager came by and asked how the food was and I told her I didn't get what I ordered so she offered to put in another order but I told her that we were in a hurry so didn't have time. The server rarely came by at all and never refilled any drinks. When we finally got our bill, not only did they NOT comp anything, they actually charged us the higher price for the entree I didn't order. We will avoid this location in the future.

Yesterday was our first time in this restaurant. But It is obviously not the last time. We had great time with the excellent service, with the fine dishes and fine drinks and with the decent price. We will surely go back there again.

Loved the atmosphere, Sebastian was such a great server had me and my friends laughing the whole time and the food was amazing!

Good location of the local chain. This one stands out for the great patio which you don't expect with the shopping center surroundings. Service has been mixed the couple times I've visited this place in the past but seems to have improved lately.

One of my favorite places in Dallas!! Make sure you try the mambo taxis prepared by the best bartender Sebas! Great selection for a lunch and dinner! We had the great service by Obiel and Jose and Jeff! Will definitely return!

Overpriced with normal quality. It seems that the further I go north in Dallas, the more culture is lost in the food. Just because I'm in White Rock doesn't mean that I dont want quality food. I've read the post and I must have had a new person because when I came with my wife and twin girls we not only had to wait 20 minutes to order, the waitress was either undertrained or didn't care. You get the same food at Taco Bell and that's a shame considering how much they overpriced the food.

Great service and great food!!! We were seated quickly and our chips and salsa were delivered quick. The spinach enchilada was the best enchilada I ve had from a restaurant in a while. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for great Mexican food.

My friend and I got off work and camper here for happy hour.. I ordered a margarita and a tea and about 15 minutes later we ordered our food. Several people came by our table. I never received my tea, and after 45 minutes we asked where our food was and they said an ordered had never been placed. We asked to speak to the manager, the waiter kept interrupting and wouldn t let us speak. And said we never ordered and made it appear as if we were lying.. then gave us the bill.. I ve eaten here for years... but I will spread the word of how I was treated and what I was charged for.

I had aCruz Azul and it was enjoyable. However the best part was the marinara pasta I ate. The food was very nicely seasoned and hot. It was for my birthday and I enjoyed celebrating there.

I went to this location the other night and I must admit I had a very pleasant experience dining in at this Mi Cocina despite the pandemic. Starting off with how attentive our server Sebastian was. He knew the menu by heart and was quick to suggest the most popular items. He was charismatic and quick with our drinks and food. The manager Roger also stopped by our table to ask about our experience. The atmosphere was pleasant and I liked the music selection. Thank you for the hard work that you guys put out. I will be returning soon.

Choose another Mi Cocina. My husband and I have tried several times over the last year and every time the service is not on par. Today I met a friend for drinks. I had to wait for a hostess, the server was not friendly and we waited on him several times, the salsa tasted like it was from a can (you could seethe salt resting on the top of the liquified salsa. The guacamole was not anything special however the drinks were good. Ps this Mi Cocina does not have a happy hour. We will choose another location next time. There are better tex mex places in Dallas. Very disappointing.

I went to Mi Cocina the other day and I was hoping to grab a bite real quick to attend a movie on a date right after. Let me just start by saying Nash was the absolutely best server I've ever had in my whole entire life. I made him aware of my time constraint, he was very respectful about it and so he started to move quickly without hesitation. He took my drink order straight away and even gave me a recommendation about the house specialities because it was my first time eating there. Right away he brought me my drink, and proceeded to take my order. He cracked a few jokes which were pretty funny and made me laugh. Within seconds he came back and made sure the drink was good and everything else was good I wasn't even done laughing at his joke when he came back, that's how fast he was. He made sure that he brought out my food as soon as it came out. I ordered the Fajitas 50 50 so it was smoking hot and sizzling and even better that I'd imagine. Those were the best fajitas I've ever had, perfectly cooked and the Tortillas were still hot to the touch. When I was almost done he came back again which surprised me because he was very attentive especially since they were busy. He offered a desert or anything else when I said no, I thought he was ganna leave and come back but no he pulled out the check and gave it to me, like he read my mind and didn't want me to be late for my date. It made me even more happy when I saw how much he cared about my needs, and process my payment right away and came right back quickly, thanked me, invited me to come back again soon and he even opened the door for me as I was leaving. Nash introduced himself from the start and made sure I was happy and on time, I was actually even a bit early to my date. So I will be back Nash and will definitely ask for u, and pls be ready bec I'm going to bring co-workers, dates, and even family. Thank u so much for suck extraordinary service and a wonderful experience. Like u said a good service makes ur whole day better, brighter and happier! Thank u again

We re in the neighborhood and have been coming for years. Their Tacos Habana is my favorite. The salsa is some of the best, with a great garlic flavor. Tonight I accidentally left behind a leftovers to-go box as we exited. When I turned around to get it, they had already thrown it away. The manager Myrna immediately offered to make me another meal to-go. I said it wasn t necessary, but she insisted. Now THAT is excellent customer service!

My mother and I were far from our usual Mi Cocina, but decided to try this location. Their food was every bit as good as we are used to, but our server, Nash, gave us the best service you can imagine. We may start making the drive just for the incredible service

Mi experience was really good. Food and service was excellent!! Our server Ramon was really friendly and treated us like family! Mirna the manager was friendly as well and made sure our time here was the absolute perfect! Would totally recommend!!!

Had dinner the other night and it was very good. It was a very busy night and this sweet busser took care of us. Erica is a great asset to this restaurant. She seems to be a great team worker. She gets 5 stars from me.

Overall I enjoyed my meal and the service. Lets start with the wait time. It was literally 2mins and on a busy Friday night that's was unexpected especially when the hostess quoted us a longer wait time before handing us our pager. Although their tortilla chips were not my favorite(they tasted store brought) they were still decent and held up to the dips(salsa and queso dip with beef). The waiter made sure that he replaced our chips when we were out and brought drinks and food immediately when they were ready. I ordered the bbq enchiladas, they were ok but the slaw and rice and beans(stars of my plate) were seasoned very well. Food presentation was ok(the food was hot, plating was basic). The design of the restaurant forward but cozy. This is a restaurant I would visit again, probably around lunch time, just to see if it is always well staff and if the service is just as attentive as my first visit. I gave it 4stars before the service was better then the cuisine.
