Love Edgefield. Wine tours are fun, the pubs are great, and the spa is awesome!!!
I have been going to McMenamins for years but this is the first time I ever attended a Christmas party. It was lovely. The food and drink wonderful. The jazz band was a very nice touch.
The room was very large to accommodate our employees and guests. And it was beautifully decorated.
A cool getaway if you don t want to leave the city. The soaking pool is the bees knees. There is so much to do on the grounds you will never be bored. I m pretty sure there are ghost. Just saying... They were nice. Glad this place exists.
We had a company event at edgefield and loved it! Great venue.
This place just like many other make minimums historical buildings is awesome. So many cool things to do. So many places to walk around and of course you can drink inside or outside or just take your drink with you as long as you stay on the property. Tons of outdoor fires places to play golf a hotel to stay in even a few restaurants to eat at. I believe that you even have a movie theater in there! I loved going there. Their drinks are a little expensive so I suggest getting a beer and then just bringing a flask with seal.
Fully enjoyed my time. Staff was out of this world. I look forward to many more visits.
Usually very good. Been going past several years. Only had one bad ish experience and still had a good time/manager proactively comped an item (we hadn't even complained at that point)
Love this place! Epic concert events, open fire (closes at 10:() cozy nooks for private drinks and conversation and always professional staff.
Edgefield is my favorite place to go when I'm in Troutdale, I know that place like the back of my hand and it's very chill place to go
Stopped for lunch not realizing that the Avett brothers were playing that night and it was the 107th anniversary of the place as a consequence the place was packed took an hour to get a table and then the service took a short while.
This is a must do on anyone's list, especially in the warmer weather. The food is good, the drinks are better. Black Rabbit is on our to do list. We saw Robert Plant a few years ago and it was a great little venue. The grounds are beautiful and clean. The gardens are cool to check out, and watch for baby bunnies!! Grab a drink with their own spirits or a house brew and spread a blanket under the orchard canopy or walk the golf course. Check out the tiny, but well stocked gift shop or glass blowing shack. The soaking pools and spa movies on the lawn and so many other events and attractions make McMenamins Edgefield a true GEM in the middle of teeny, tiny town on the edge of the gorge.
I love the atmosphere! Acres and acres of beautiful landscape with lots of little nooks to hang out or sit by a fire. Multiple bars and restaurants throughout the property. The historic hotel was a great stay as well. The customer service was top notch. Highly recommended.
Every time I go here, I have a memorable time! I love the pool, the little red shack, murals all over the walls... Each room is so special, and each trip is wonderful... We always stay at least 3 days.. try to get some golf in... Great resort!!! Don't forget the spa with massage and pedicures... Amazing place!!
Beautiful location, setting and buildings. Great beer, drinks and food! The coffee is excellent!
The rooms are quaint and very comfortable. The extensive bars and hideaways on the estate are amazing and provide great beer, food, and wine. Pool hall underneath has plenty of bar games and amazing service. Just a heads up, the majority of rooms share bathrooms and noise travels easily. The soaking pool is fantastic and a great way to recover from the previous nights bar crawl.
Great place and best of all the McMenamins by far. The Power Station and the Black Rabbit are by far the best parts.
Black Rabbit is surprisingly tasty. Not your typical McMenamins fare.
Beautiful property with lots to do. Pretty bummed about how high prices have risen, though.
Outstanding food and service. Love the Black Rabbit. Great dinner choices. Wine made on premise. Love the period atmosphere. Fun to walk the grounds after dinner and enjoy outdoor fires or live music in the winery.
One of the best Mcmenamins
Very helpful people efficient everything ran smoothly thanks for having us hour family and friends enjoyed it
Such cool grounds, great staff, and a really fun time. This is the unique hotel experience you're looking for.
Attended my cousin s wedding here. Great venue. All the McMenamins I ve been to have been awesome and Edgefield was no exception. Multiple restaurants, bars, hangout ureas. Pretty sure there was a spa somewhere. Staff was helpful and friendly.
Loading Dock is perfect for summery evening dining al fresco.
Always busy for good reason, its a fun place to be. Its fun for anyone who is interested in movies, golfing, bar games, concerts, brewfests, or just going out with family. I got engaged here and had a wonderful time. I have not gotten to try the spa but someday I will.
Really nice place. For some reason our room (703) was labeled "Bob", so we had a hard time finding the room, but otherwise it was great.
Played pool and got passport stamps. Great experience and staff was all very friendly.
I really enjoy Edgefield. I've been going there for years and it's always a memorable getaway.
The food and staff are amazing. Rooms are rustic and classic. Bathrooms and facilities are well kept. Could not ask for a better atmosphere for our weekend away without our kods.
Great place for food and drinks with friends. Staff was friendly and helpful.
The property was very nice. Lots of things to see and do. We didn't stay the night, but will be back.
Beautiful setting for great food. Long list of events to have even more fun!
Went to the Primus, Mastodon, JJUUJJUU show. Parking was nice and easy, guided us right to a spot. Went and had a beer at one of the pubs outside the venue and then took our beers to go stand in line. Fantastic venue, great sound, awesome experience.
Not impressed. Second time coming here, thought maybe I missed something. Nope, summer time had no AC in the rooms, very hot. Not even bathrooms in the room.
Recent visit after Thanksgiving weekend, very dated facilities, no bathrooms in rooms, beds uncomfortable, very loud, can hear everything, soaking pool outdoor was warm at best, way over rated, very grungy, creepy vibe.... expensive rooms for what you get ($170 with tax), staff was clueless overall, waiters were good, food was good. There was 4 couples in our group, so we dropped easily over $1,200 with food and drinks...we will definitely not be returning. Ever.
Its beautiful, but not set up in way to deal with the amount of people in a timly manner.
Clean grounds, helpful employees, needs more directional signs to find your way around though.
Very nice concert venue. We'll set up, reasonable lines, comfortable amphitheatre, great concert line ups.
I attended a friend's wedding over the weekend and the coordinating staff were helpful and nice.
We had a business meeting at the Power House restaurant. They had delicious food, pleasant waitstaff and a great ambiance. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a good meeting place or dinner!
We visit at least once a year and are always happy with the entire grounds. We prefer the rainy seasons due to the lack of crowds, but it's also fun in the summer. From the soaking pools to the pub games in the pub, I've spent days just discovering this place. It almost has amusement park status or maybe a holy site as far as my family is concerned.
Favorite spot is he Black Rabbit for a quiet and scrumptious breakfast. Check out he gift shop before you go!
Attended the Portugal. The Man concert on the grass ampitheater. Food was great, venue was fantastic as always, everybody there was very helpful.
A great atmosphere with friendly people I just wish it stayed open a little bit later.
Completely unique Facility with multiple tap rooms, restaurants a par 3 golf course and the best outside concert venue in the Portland metro area.
Food and service was great but I have legit concerns this place is haunted. And the decor doesn't help at all.
Beautiful night to have dinner outside at the power station pub. We initially were told it would be a half hour wait for a table for 4 and ended up waiting over an hour. Luckily there are plenty of places to grab a drink and hang out so it didn't seem like a long wait. When we were finally seated the server let us know that ticket times were about an hour. It seems the kitchen was a little overwhelmed. The food was good and the atmosphere was great though so it was a good experience overall.
Played a round of chip golf and some shuffle board. Grounds are awesome, food is good, the golf was great fun.
Edgefield is an amazing historic site. The rooms are great. The staff were all nice and friendly.
We have the passport and have been trying to visit each location. This location has it all. Winery, distillery, brewery, restaurants, glass blowing, swimming pool, multiple bars, golf, hotel, the list goes on. We had fun doing the distillery and wine tours and hanging by one of the multiple fire pits. We didn't have reservations so the only rooms available were in the 'Administrators House' which ended up being really neat. We stayed in the attic room. It was big and had the typical McMenamins atmosphere.
We went to the black rabbit for breakfast and it's the best in this area! It's from scratch and really good.
Came just to go to a concert but there was tons of other things to do. Had a lot of fun and the staff was great.
I want to like it, I really really do because the property and the idea is awesome. But for some reason they can t figure out how to provide decent service. I don t need things to be perfect, but it took almost an hour for our lunch to arrive, 45 minutes for a snack to come to the wine bar, and we gave up on a pizza that night as it was going to take an hour. I want to pay for good stuff, I wish they could figure it it out.
Bars are spread out across the whole property with an awesome poolroom and shuffle board room. Cool drinks and happy hour specials. The tater tots are a huge portion size
Edgefield is an amazing McMenamins property located in Troutdale, Oregon. There isn't a whole lot in Troutdale besides Edgefield and the small outlet mall. We love all the different restaurants and bars on the property each providing a unique experience. Ruby's spa is also really nice. We got a couples massage for our anniversary. Only thing is that the buildings are old, so when we were getting our massage, it was hard to stay relaxed and in the mood when you could hear footsteps and every little movement. The soaking pool is nice and hot. The Tea House Bar is accessible from the pool and also from outside of the spa. I only wish I could have enjoyed the property more but it was hard because our car was broken into at a nearby hotel and it really dampened my mood for the rest of my Edgefield experience. Our server at the Black Rabbit Restaurant was probably wondering why I kept crying throughout brunch. I hope I can come back, actually stay on the property and, hopefully, not have any extra stressors. But even with this experience, I still highly recommend going to Edgefield because you'll easily have a wonderful time.
Good drinks and food. Nice heated pool but no seats around the pool
Very large campus with many smaller restaurants and bars. It's like it's own little city where you can walk around outside with a drink in your hand. I love the outdoor fire pits in the summer.
Interesting venue for work events. Space is accommodating and air conditioned, food is pretty meh, but the beer is good.
Always a special place. Whether you're alone or with friends, Edgefield has a place for you. From pool tables and dart boards to a first rate concert amphitheater featuring top preforming groups. I saw The Moody Blues this summer and it was a magical place to enjoy a concert.
Woah! If you only visit 1 McMenamins, visit this one. Allow about 4 hours minimum.
Such a lovely place to spend the day, whether your hungry, tired, or up for walk this place has it all.
