Staff was wonderful and the room was great. I brought my puppy and we stayed in a pet friendly room. It was clean and spacious. We loved it!

Good food, beautiful grounds, can't wait to go back!

It's such a fabulous place I'd like to go back in the spring when I can enjoy the daylight and see everything better. I did watch a movie in the balcony and had dinner and it was great place to enjoy.

What a perfect venue, historical, beautiful, great vibe and music

There are so many things to do here! Come here earlier during the day to get many things done. First, get a McMenamins passport. Second, get all the stamps at all of the small bars. Then get your experience stamps, which you can do at least 9 here for 2 $20 gift cards which pays for the $30 passport already! Tour the Brewery, Distillery and Winery (at 1pm, 2pm and 3pm daily). Get all of those flights for 3 more experience stamps. Play a game in the bar below the hotel. Go soak in the pool, and get a facial or massage at Ruby s Spa. Play a round of golf. Get a pint of some cider! Get a flight of wine. My absolute favorite thing to do here. Haley is my favorite pourer!

Love the place! The ambience, the many little spots to check out. Lots of options and lots of fun. It also has a history to check out!

Food service has gotten very slow. Seems like there is some sort of disconnect among the staff.

Awesome place lots of fun with plenty to do. Rooms are simple, no tv but there's so much to do you really only sleep in the room. Soaking mineral water pool with bar is amazing for relaxation.

The venue was really atmospheric, the staff was VERY helpful in getting my friend their merchandise. And the band they booked was KILLER. So I'm very satisfied and I'll definitely be coming back next summer.

A fantastic place to stay, eat, play, and/or see a concert. Great food, drink and awesome employees and service make it a must visit for most any occasion. Onsite brewery, winery, and distillery as well as a fun 9-hole golf course.

I love McMenamins and everything was mostly great except waitress on the first floor completely forgot my order and didn't even take my name. It was a Tuesday during happy hour and no concert playing or anything. Other than that, great service.

Edgefield was always known as a place with meh service and higher prices due to the surroundings. However, after going there after a few months, the prices are getting completely out of hand! Service is still "Edgefield Service", nothing terrible, but it won't be fast and your drink will go empty and stay that way for a bit before someone comes over

One of very unique McMenamins I've visited so far. Has a very relaxing atmosphere with interesting decor that makes you feel at home with a McMenamins twist. The place has everything from smoking house and live music to a spa. Definitely a neat place to even just walk around and grab a few drinks.

Expansive grounds, with great little bars. Great beer and food, bar games at Lucky's, golf (if you're into that sort of thing)

We had an impromptu high school reunion at Edgefield. We were seated at the Power Station with a bit of a wait. Understandable with a party of 13. Great food and service.

The restraunt in the hotel did not and could not provide Cajun tots. -2 stars.

Nice place and atmosphere. The food is good but not as good as other comparable places.

The outdoor music venue experience is pretty incredible here, no doubt. I find their food and drink slightly overpriced, but $6 for a Ninkaski beer isn't too bad, either. I give it 4 stars for the music venue, my experience with the restaurants inside have been awful though.

Amazing place, people staying next to us are strange... you re staying in a high volume place DURING SUMMER. please don t complain about a neighbor being loud when there s no music and just people talking. It s ridiculous. You can t have a conversation without people knocking on your door about noise ? Really ? We love this place just people that aren t used to normal life can t handle it ? Come on. Deal with some normal conversation past 11 pm. You re in a place that hold large events, people should be aware that there might be some noise. Thanks. Love you guys.

Played golf on the 20 hole Pub Course. Had fun. Wish the Distillery Bar had bloody mary mix.

I love going to this place for dinner there are several restaurant options and the night life is never a disappointment.

I love this place! This is a historic "poor farm" tastefully made over into a hotel/brewery/restaurant/event center. There is a huge soaking pool, golf, concerts, and lots to see and do around here as well as good food and drinks. The cheerful staff are very helpful and there are occasional tours and tastings. Get a McMenamins Passport and discover their other locations as well.

I used to love this place, today I had a hair in my sandwich and my boyfriends chicken was burned. The Rubin had no flavor. And we brought his mother there because she has never been so disappointed

When the dart board are on good shape it's a Friday night stop in.

The golf course was very well kept and had a nice variety for a short par 3 course. The staff was delightful and fun. Really enjoyed my time there.

This place is almost always a zoo... and for a reason. It's just a cool place to hang out and drink beverages, watch movies and play pool or shuffle board. The food in my super picky opinion at all restaurants is average which makes it also over priced. However the service no matter where you might pull up a stool is always friendly. Timely however is another story especially if were talking about Lucky Staehlys pool hall. It's downright painful to get a drink in that place most of the time. Go to another bar in the building or wall over to the power station and get your drink and walk back.

Always a great spot to hang out and have a drink after hiking in The Gorge! With several small bars to enjoy, the large property remains intimate and welcoming!

I can't say much about the lodging since I didn't stay, but the grounds are beautiful and would be great for a wedding. I ate at the power building. The foliage in and around the courtyard is veritable and beautiful.

Accidentally arrived for dinner too early so we ate at the bar. Delicious food. Wonderful staff. Beautiful location!

Truly a special destination! Far more than just a place to stay, Edgefield has all of the ingredients for a truly magical experience steeped in local history and natural beauty. Highest recommendations!

Gorgeous property with wonderful food and drink! Wish I could live there.

This place is Simply Amazing. I'm also just amazed at the amount of artwork within the building and the cost of revitalizing this facility and keeping the history of life is priceless. I am now fully a fan of the McMenamins process

Stayed at the hostel, I love the property. had an issue with another guest sleeping on my bed when i returned from a show and stealing my robe off my bed...

Fun events, great environment, but over priced food that is good but not great.

Always a good time there. There are multiple restauraunts to choose from. There is even a pool hall. Also a winery and a brewery. Really good place to spend an evening. There is a hotel and spa for those interested.

The suroundings are very nice but I was not excited about the sparse lunch menu and $$ at the Black Rabbit resturaunt.

The grounds were amazing with a wide variety of things to do! The hostel was clean and pleasant.

Great sound and good views from all over the venue. Event staff was friendly and kept things light.

One of my most favorite concert venues. Spacious lawn makes for a relaxing good time.

Good food, better beer, but packed and a bit of a wait on both

My girlfriend and I drove up from Sacramento to visit this establishment. We were very excited to try and see all they had to offer. When we got there, not only was the front desk staff unwelcoming, they also didn't explain the grounds to us, just handed us a map. That's fine. The first bar we visited was the pool hall. Bartender was not engaging, very short with us. Made the experience quite awkward. After that, every bar we walked into seemed to be a repeat of the last. Very underwhelming to say the least. We enjoyed our stay and walking the grounds, but literally every staff member we encountered was either rude, dismissive, or didn't know what they were selling. That is why I'm giving them 2 stars. We have been wanting to go here for a couple years now and this was our final stop before leaving for South Korea and we were excited...however, a very underwhelming and disappointing experience overall. Beer and whiskey is great, but that doesn't warrant lesser service than other establishments. I don't think it's too much to ask for some hospitality or even politeness when spending so much on a stay, and additionally all the amenities.

I had a great experience at the Black Rabbit restaurant despite my date being extremely difficult. Our server was very accommodating.

Dinner was amazing! Our server, Scott, was excellent, and the Edgefield property is great to explore. Wish we had more time!

Such a fun place! The grounds were beautiful and the beer was delicious.

You can listen to a concert on the green or live music in the winery. You can golf the par three course or enjoy a microbrew in the gardens. Shoot a game of pool in the basement of the grand Lodge at Staley's or a 5 star meal at the Black Rabbit restaurant. The Powerhouse brew pub has indoor and outdoor seating as well as a theater where you can see a movie with a beer or drink. There is a spa with a mineral pool, a glassblowing shop, cigar bar and several romantic tiny bars on the grounds. My family and I love this place.

This is our favorite McMenamins property. It s truly an adult playground with all of the restaurants and bars on the property. The grounds themselves are gorgeous and always well maintained. My husband and I got married here and it will always be a special place for us!

This was my second time staying at Edgefeild and this time was for my 21st birthday! It was a great location for such an event because there are many bars through out the property. There's somewhere to get a beer around every corner!

I made a reservation in the black rabbit restaurant for a party of 16 expecting typical mcmenamins dining but it was their more upscale restaurant with meals in $30+ range and a limited menu. Luckily our waiter caught on to the fact that we weren't expecting it to be so formal and he redirected us to the patio restaurant which was MUCH better and was the typical mcmenamins menu I was expecting and craving. Food was delicious as always and house made beer was just as good!

We stayed in the king suite and it was very charming and it was nice to have our own bathroom (most of the rooms use the shared bathrooms). Room service arrived on time in the morning and the breakfast was delicious! I will say if you're wanting the typical modern amenities and furnishing this is not the place for your! Rooms have no TV or phone which in my opinion adds to the charm. Furnishing is antique, beautiful and unique to each room.

All through out the property there is amazing artwork. Walls are beautifully painted with art and stories of people who lived there long ago when the property was a poor farm. The place is littered with character unmatched by any where I've been.

There is so much more to say too... There's a beautiful soaking pool located outside of the full service spa. They have a movie theater and always have some kind of live music. Wine tasting, golf, and beers, wines and ciders made on site. I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting!!

I love Edgefield Mcmenamins and will be going back next year and many years to follow. If you are in Oregon I would definitely recommend a visit at the very least!

Great place, I just wish they had their normal food available in more of the bars.

Sprawling lawns, cold beer, and midi golf. Really what more do you need? Edgefield has several bars on the property and will take more than one visit to fully explore. As far as the food and drink, I really recommend you pay close attention to the seasonal menu. There have been some real wozers that outshine the standard McMenmins fare.

It's a very Portland place... Very welcoming! A lot of smiles and warm fires! The grounds are obviously beautiful... Walkable as well!! The floors creak with history

Yum! Great food and great service! And don't forget the yummy beer and whiskeys too!

Everything was great other than the amount of guest traffic outside our room. The door did not seal well and the floor is pretty conductive so we could easily hear anybody walking by, which seemed to be quite a few.

Absolutely fascinating. The history of this property is so interesting. The paintings, sculptures, gardens and stone work add to the mystique. Every turn leads to another experience, another artifact and another bar; nine in total! This is an example of what makes Portland unique and memorable.

Absolutely the best experience on date night. I recommend the Boar and the Tuna Tartar, really delicious! We were also told for more food selection to try hangout in the bar for the bar menu items, Also, Scott was an amazing host and will most definitely go back.

Fun atmosphere and helpful employees who seem to enjoy working there. Prices are a little high but overall worth the trip.

I really enjoy the walkable venue along with multiple food and beverage options located throughout the property. This is a great location for concerts on the lawn, or to catch a movie while enjoying McMenamin's signature beverages and entrees.

Very good restaurants, relaxing atmosphere, great drinks, beer and wine. The spa is awesome and visitors should make sure to use the soaking pool, eat at least one dinner at the black rabbit, and do a wine tasting.

Slow, slow, slow service at a time they weren't even busy. Not 100% sure but one of the servers did not wash hands when leaving the bathroom. Not a great experience.

Concert venue was great. Was cool to walk through the gardens.

Golf was solid and McMenamins beer is always better our here.

Even though we live close, this is a wonderful place to take a break from the kids and stay for a night. It feels like a mini vacation!

Very cool place with a variety of things to see. There are several restaurants/bars in different buildings, which are all nice. I really like the garden and the bunnies that you see too.

Beautiful Historical building. Ate at the Black Rabbit that has a excellent selection of delicious food as well as an very friendly server ... Had the Vegan Burger which I would recommend to anyone who is a carnivore ... Prices were reasonable as well ... 5 stars plus more
