Real nice place ... 1st time here. Came from California to check this place out . Good energy lot of people walking around and lots of yummy food and good beers .
The fish n chips was excellent, stayed in bunkhouse, ok to save cash for just one night.
We went to a concert here and it was absolutely beautiful! I loved the set up and the layout. My only complaint is that leaving the parking lot took an hour.
This place has it all. Food, drink, movies, hotel, golf and concerts.
What a venue!!! Unique setting, awesome vibe, stunning views, great and friendly staff, excellent concessions and well organized. Went to see Brandi Carlile s Saturday night show and it was incredible. The perfect way to enjoy beautiful music. We didn t get there early to stand in line but still had a nice view from were we setup. They had kombucha on tap for those who prefer to skip the liquor. Lots of food and drink options all around. Acoustics were amazing too. Everyone was so respectful and chill. Brandi rocked, no doubt about that. One of the best shows I ve been too. And get your passport stamped there.
Great food and cold drinks! Priced a little higher than most but it's worth it for the atmosphere!
Food was good, venue to watch music was a little unusual. Awkward for a large group.
My husband and I dined at the Black Rabbit Restaurant for our anniversary, and we had a wonderful experience. The food is phenomenal (the wild boar is to die for), the atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant, and the service was polite and prompt. Highly recommended.
Inaugural Brewfest was amazing. Please have this event every year!
Great good, beautiful place.. . . Good place to get lunch and view the gardens.
Food took over an hour for a meat plate. Bartenders are understaffed and stingy on pours.
Great grounds. Did the passport activity. Great fun.
Fun atmosphere, great movie theater and grounds. Great for eating, strolling, sitting.
Long waits for mediocre expensive food. Beautiful grounds year round.
Love the beer, love the food, love the ambiance. We make this our last stop before hitting PDX everytime we come out to Oregon.
Had delicious happy hour food and drinks at the Black Rabbit bar. Service wasn't the speediest I've ever encountered, but it wasn't terribly slow, and it was friendly as can be.
Food is good. Absolutely embarrassing service. Don't bring groups here.
Went to the bar and played shuffleboard and drank ciders. A lot of fun
Service was okay. Kind of slow. We had a 4 person party with relatively simple drinks and one was forgotten. We also had a 35 minute wait for a party of four when there were visibly multiple tables available. Food was good though.
Waited an hour and a half for a table of 8 at the Power Station restaurant. All of the burgers order were overcooked. The only redeeming quality was our Server, Matthew who was attentive - an incredibly rare quality in McMenamins Servers these days. But sadly, I'm done visiting McMenamins properties for a while, they seem to rely only on their novelty and tourism now. The service and food quality has made a huge landslide.
This is hands down my favorite music venue in Portland. You should bring mini chairs and blankets to claim your spot in the feild. Very friendly// helpful event staff.... But bring cash so you don't have to pay the ATM fee as it's mostly cash only for food//drinks..... Oh, you can rent chairs there as well for 5$; but you'll need to fork over 20$ as insurance so you won't head out with their chairs.... The only pain in the a** is leaving, it'll take up to 30 min.
Love this place!!! Many dining and drinking options. Make sure to go through the hotel. Every door has art done by many different artist.
Great getaway with many amenities! Reasonable prices. Close to home.
Love the par 3 golf course in the summer time! Great ambience at the powerhouse outdoor patio. Great place to catch a concert, too, that's not Tangled in Portland traffic.
This place has a lot to offer and a lot of history behind it. Lots of beer selections for your liking. It can be easy to get lost but don't be afraid to ask around to figure out where you need to go. Exploring is half the adventure!
Mcmenamins edgefield is absolutely beautiful. We went for one night in later January and it was quite the dreary day. With that said it didn't subtract from our experience at all. With so many different interesting activities to do, all the art to discover and enjoy, and of course the great food and drinks all surrounded by wonderfully maintained grounds I cant say I even really missed the lack of what people would normally expect from equally prices hotels. (There was no TV, the bed was only fine, and the walls are thin, and many rooms don't have their own bathroom.) I still felt very important and valued as a guest with solid customer service all over the grounds and knowledgeable staff. Definitely worth a stay if you are looking for a tranquil getaway adventure with someone special!
This is a great place with lots of things to see and explore. Several bars and places to eat. The only reason that this isn't 5 stars is that it used to be more affordable and less big corporate seeming. Overall still a fun place to go for food and drinks.
Loved the massage at Ruby Spa, the soaking pool was fantastic.
This place is destination heaven, whether it be for the day or a weekend stay.
Great art, lots of different pubs/bars, beautiful grounds. Service can be inconsistent, and with patience a great experience.
Went to Edgefield after work to enjoy the Sunshine and cocktails outside at the Red Shed bar
Phenomenal. It's like a cross between bar / spa. Loved it!
We love edgefield and can't wait to get married there in February!!!
McMenamins use to have a cigar bar here and now they have gotten rid of it as a result of internal policy, which lost a lot of appeal for me to come here. I'm not a wine guy, I think their beer is ok. Some of their menu items were uninspiring. This place is more for if you're gonna make a night out of it and you have a designated driver or staying there.
Love the ambiance, the quaintness, the food, and the music!
Catering for our event was great. Nice environment every time I come. Parking can be a pain...
Simply amazing! Atmosphere, food, beverages, entertainment...the whole package!
Great Venue. Skipped the line in and drank at the hotel on the porch.
Very fun ambiance. We went to the power station pub which had great pub food. Then did a wine tasting, also amazing.
Stayed in the women's hostel and has a great experience. That said, hostels aren't for everyone.
Visits here are really about the grounds. The food is the same as anywhere, although the Black Rabbit does try and raise the bar on the McMenamins burger and tots standard, I'd rather wait the 45 minutes for a patio seat while searching for the wild bunnies that dart across the golf course and through the gardens. Great place to bring the kids.
By far my favorite place to see a concert! The venue is amazing and they always do a great job in bringing in great artists. Check out the restaurant as well. Really great food and atmosphere like usual at a McMenamins.
Came for the Jethro Tull 50th Anniversary Tour concert. Everything was perfect, from the Power Station dinner to the entire organization throughout the Edgefield grounds.
This is by far my favorite place to venture out to. Awesome concerts , very cool hotel rooms, tons of little pubs along the property. A spa and movie theater. Golf and wine. So many thing to do and places to eat, drink and be merry it take many trips to take it all in
Great for socially distanced golf and outdoor drinks
The highest level of McMenamin experiences. So many great spots to pop in for good drinks and awesome ambience.
I went there for the annual cracked pots Art Exhibit and sale I had a great time there was some interactive art creation from Ant Farm and my son and grandchildren love that edgefield's always a great time and something interesting to see and look at
Grounds not up kept, little Info provided for my visit
Love the location, super unique and love the bonfire
This is one of my favorite McMenamins locations. Always great service and beautifully landscaped.
Wonderful, quirky, quintessential slice of Oregon. Try to give yourself enough time to tour the various functioning businesses, the winery, brewery and distillery, and the salt bath pool is very relaxing. The kids objected to the odd smells in the hallway and room.
An all around wonderful place. The gardens were beautifully cared for, the drinks were tasty, the cigars were enjoyable, and the art was stunning. This was my first time visiting, but it sure wont be my last.
Edgefield is my favorite of any McMenamins properties much to explore and excellent site made beverages.
Had a quik bite with friends before a concert on the lawn. It was a perfect evening. Food was great and the service was excellent.
The property is beautiful. The staff is courteous and goes out of their way to be helpful. The food is excellent, especially at the Black Rabbit restaurant inside the main building--where much of the food is grown on-site. This is a great place to go and spend a whole day wandering around, playing pitch-and-putt golf, and sampling beverages at the different bars on site.
One of the best outdoor venues for concerts. Lovely grounds and though big still manages to feel small and intimate.
Fabulous weekend stay! 6 bars, soaking pool, increduble artwork all in a peaceful vineyard setting!
Lovely Mother's Day putting on 12 holes with my family.
Amazing service for dinner and tasty freshly squeezed cocktails
The Easter egg hunt was a disaster. It was not very much cheap candy spread around a 40X40 patch of lawn. The big kids charged in and that was that. The "special" Easter brunch wasn't much better. Crummy food in a dreary environment. Our 5 year old thought the room smelled bad when we walked in and didn't want to stay. We should have taken her advice.
Great place to see a show. Beware the long lines, show up early and enjoy the grounds
