We had a large group at the Power Station restaurant that got much larger when we arrived. The staff graciously accommodated us.
A hidden beauty OREGON landmark with SUPERB WINES, AND BLACK RABBIT RESTAURANT!
Maybe the coolest drinking spot on the west coast. No exaggeration at all.
Cool place. But service in Pub was ridiculous! Actually brought fish and chips with old wrinkly cold (not even warm) fries. The worst slaw I've ever eaten. Shameful!
Very interesting place. As some call it "Disneyland for adults". Highly recommend to you get a room, spend the day walking around drinking inside and outside! Although it's really nice in good weather, they have fire pits everywhere, so it might be nice in the slow season with less travelers.
A wonderful place to stay. Rustic rooms, amazing grounds and facilities, everything you need.
Grab a couple drinks at the cigar bar at the top. It was a cozy little spot with great atmosphere.
Beautiful spot in the spring and summer months. Great food and drinks.
All of Edgefield is awesome, but Lucky's bar is so laid back. Drinks are great, has pool and my favorite, shuffle board. Check this place out.
Aside from communal bathrooms, this place is great. Lots of history here.
The hotel is very unique & comfortable. Very friendly staff. Rooms are spacious and nice. Second time staying here but wont be the last time!
I wish they had a better wine selection and a pass that allowed you into the spa area for the day. It was a real disappointment not being able to sit in the soaking pool.
I was there for a Primus concert. The event staff was friendly, the facilities were well-maintained and beautiful, and the music was fantastic! Awesome and diverse lineup of shows this Summer. The sound wasn't mixed right. The singers were too quiet. I'm not sure if that was McMenamins staff responsibility or tour staff. Probably the latter.
Had an amazing time, gardens were gorgeous, atmosphere and astetic we're incredible. Ate their pizza at powerhouse and had their Terminator chocolate shake. 10/10 would go again
Best hotel in the entire area!
Best Historic hotel in the entire area!

Nothing like iv ever been to before. Unique experience. Amazing wedding!
Came here for a company party. Very tasty food, drinks, and quaint decor. It was nice to walk around and soak in the nature with the rustic buildings.
Great place and great venue for an outdoor concert!
It would be better if the staff could give out accurate answers and directions.
Awesome time. We chose a room that didn't have a bathroom in it, the public bathroom was clean, all super spacious. Worth the experience we had. Try it out.
Disneyland for grown ups! Great place to see a concert and spend the night or a week!
Never gets disappointed visiting it, always a pleasure to see it
Once you find a place to park...
Great food and spirits.
McMenamins itself has been amazing! This review is regarding the power station restaurant and movie house. First of all the movie theatre photos online are deceiving, it is very small. We went to see dumbo and expected kids but throughout the entire film, the staff aloud people to clap and scream in literally every scene. It was not a great experience to say the least, not to mention the neck strain you re going to have looking straight up at the half screen it showed on, even sitting in the back row! Not a great experience, especially not for a date night. The staff were serving food for a good portion of the film and knowingly blocked the screen. We won t be back to the movie house. The restraunt was disappointing to say the least. We waited over an house when told it s a 25 minute wait. The cocktail I got was watery and when I told the waitress she didn t believe me! We got a couple burgers and two drinks and it came to $48! Not including tip. Way expensive. Maybe we ll be back for the spa! Hopefully it will be a better experience.
Edgefield is a wonderful place to visit and spend time with your significant other, friends or family. There is a lot to do - especially in the summer. Plus the food is delicious.
If their was any such place called a adult haven; this place would be it.
Our party of 8 had a great time! The food was delicious, the service wonderful.
The servers where great, mine was megan pickett she was so helpful and very kind. the food was great to, definitely recommend.
So many things to do! Awesome spa, friendly staff, huge rooms. Can't wait to be back!
Service is hit or miss, but the food is always great at the Power Station.
Went to the second night of The Avett Brothers, great venue!
Fun place to hang out! Great service, their Moscow mule good!
Beautiful place as always! Just a reminder, there is no AC in the rooms.
Have gone to weddings and outdoor shows ad Edgefield and it has always been an incredibly enjoyable place for both.
Our latest outing was this past summer to see Willie Nelson live which we'd been looking forward to for quite sometime. Did not disappoint both the venue and Willie!
Lots to do, beautiful surroundings. Never got bored. Great soaking tub and Moroccan mint tea
I went here for Halloween. It was pretty awesome. Friendly staff great drinks and bars every 3 feet. What more could you want?
Great atmosphere and gardens. Food was the usual good not great McMenamins style food. They had live music and Irish style food for the half way to st paddys day and it was very fun.
Always had awesome parties here, a fine evening here, and dates. Great place to relax, drink, or see a concert, best part is the spa.
Sprawling, awesome property. The steak dinner is 100% worth it if you want to splurge on an excellent steak.
I went for a birthday and had a great time. But be forewarned, not everything is open all day and the waits can be long. At 2:10 our group of 5 went to the main restaurant by the gift shop and office. We were not accepted because they close from 2:30-5. A little after 5 we went back and were told we couldn't be seated until 8.
Parking was fine; there was plenty to go around. Breakfast was good. It was busy but the wait wasn't long. The star of the show was definitely the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits are so tangy and flaky and very obviously fresh.
Loved our quick meal at the pub. Food was solid, service was great and prices were to be expected. The decor and the grounds really make this place a step above.
We visited the Black Rabbit restauraunt for late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn't super busy when we got there, but the server said we just missed the rush. The food was pretty good and the staff was nice, but the kitchen messed up and left the bacon off of my wife's sandwich. Not really a huge deal, but it was an explicit option for that particular sandwich. Overall pretty good though!
Awesome. Super hot though. And the rooms didn't have AC.
Food and service are excellent. The rooms are unique and comfortable and there's always things going on around the property. The soaking pool is my favorite place to unwind after a long day.
Love the atmosphere. I've been here for weddings, parties, concerts and just hanging out, it's one of my favorite places in Portland. Visit sometime and you won't regret it!
We had lunch on a trip back from Portland. It's really tough to decide on just one thing there from all the restaurants and parking lots. It's nice to catch on a weekday. The salads were great after a trip with too many burgers.
Seriously!!! Wow!!! Its kind of sad that I live next door and have only gone twice but amazing Property! Artwork is just something else to walk around and look at! Amazing! Staff everywhere you go is very friendly and quick to serve!
Changed the reservation at the last minute from 8 to 12 people. They were very accommodating and pleasant. The kids ate off the kids menu, which was unimaginative but functional. Adults were satisfied with fancy burgers, vegetable curry, salmon, and chicken. Beer and wine were good too. A little overpriced for what it was, but a pleasant place with good service.
No matter the day, no matter the occasion, there is a place to be or something to do at Edgefield. The are is an old workers camp converted into 20 some places of interest. 2 resaurants, like a dozen bars, cigar lounge, spa, golf course. If I have a day I want to spend with friends this is always one of the top picks.
Day four of my vacation, and my girlfriend booked here for my birthday. Let me tell you, completely worth it! The staff here were friendly, the room we got was extremely spacious, and the feel of the whole place was great. We ate at one of the restaurants, and the food was delicious, and the beers brewed here were amazing. We also got the Beer 101, which got us two taster flights and a 64oz growler fill.
Took a load off from a day of travelling by soaking in the hot tub which was relaxing, before calling it a night in our room
Travelers, look no further, great food and drinks all without leaving property. Make sure to stop and take it all in.
Great place for wine tasting, dinner and a movie all in one trip.
We loved this hotel and Bar. Almost as much as St. Francis
The room that was rented cost A LOT of money yet there was no air conditioning and the food was just OK.
The Black Rabbit restaurant is amazing! Can't really go wrong with anything you order
The best hotel I've stayed at on the west coast. Soooo fun met some nice folks, staff was amazing
The largest location and maybe the best hand painted art work on the walls, its very enjoyable! Stayed for one night. Dinner and then breakfast at the Black Rabbit were both delicious! The soaking pool is magical and soothing.
Apparently they hand make their pizza crust and cook it in a magic oven because it was incredible. The crust is a little old school with the corn meal on the bottom with results in some slight yet perfect char! Plus we were sitting outside up by the disterllery, where there is typically not table service. No matter, our bartender found us and we ate fresh, hot-delicious pep&pine . Cheers!
Not a good concert experience. Couldn't hear the music over all the talking around us. Couldn't see the stage either. It's kind of pointless to attend a concert where you can't see or hear the band.
We had lunch, and drinks. Food was great, drinks as well
I've only been to the pool hall, but it was a good experience. Service was prompt, food was delicious, and it was never totally crowded. Definitely plan on making more trips out there in the near future.
Great environment! Great service. Great food. Fair price.
Great drinks and good food! A little disappointed that the Reuben didn't have sauerkraut though.
