Very poor management, they don t buy textbooks that are still being sold in the store, sometimes they sell textbooks and programs that are mentioned by profs on the outlines that are not needed. Lastly, the managers are extremely rude in my experience. Only recommendation is that walk into this store if and only if you must and keep in mind this is a store, just trying to make the most profit and students DO NOT come first.

Essentially a marked up indigo with McMaster merch. Text book prices are terrible (not their fault I know) but chances are if you find whatever they sell anywhere else you'll save 30% at least. Its not like anyone is unaware that the premium on products is changed on the basis of the location's convenient location and the monopoly on exam permitted calculators, iclickers and degree frames.
What a pleasant & exciting surprise the Mac Campus Store was for me and still is. The first time I set foot in there, I thought what a diamond in the rough this vast and detailed store really is. Before I ever decided to go, I looked at their website. It is good, but doesn t seem like it s updated often, and really does not represent the products or feel of the store like it does when you are physically there.
The Campus Store offers a vast array of high end electronics, very cool journals & stationary, Mac gear & apparel, baby clothes and accessories, gifts for students or anyone of any age, text books, novels, awesome bags and tablet/laptop sleeves, & stylish and good quality clothing for men & women without the McMaster logo.
The staff is well stocked, with very good product knowledge as well as friendly. I had to give this store 5 stars & I highly recommend it to anyone to check it out. Whether you are a Mac student, Mac Alumni (like myself), or someone that wants a one stop shop, this is the store for you!
Went to the pick up window recently and the lady at the front desk was super nice and a lady named Gracie helped me carry out all of my items (socially distanced, of course). Very pleasant experience. Thank you, Gracie :)
Not a book store, but perhaps that's just a sign of the times. Branded outerwear. Shallow selection of computer stuff. Pretty decent selection of commodity writing implements. Large selection of baubles.
If I had more money I would shop there every day. Books, clothes, electronics, snacks, backpacks, gifts, mementos, mugs, keychains, umbrellas. Awesome campus store.
Good selection of items ranging from textbooks to McMaster branded clothing to binders to computers.
Yet, unlike other campuses, prices and return policies are odd. General writing merchandise (pens, binders, etc.) is generally more expensive. Some Mac branded wear is relatively reasonably priced. And there's a strange return policy on textbooks, which can leave you stuck with books. Unlike most stores, returns are based on a set period (e.g two weeks into the start of term in September) rather than being based on the time period when you actually purchased the textbook. So any purchase of a textbook outside of the set period cannot be refunded (e.g textbooks bought in October)
Impressive selection of electronics and accessories including adapters, dongles, and external drives. Good selection of school supplies also, minus the fact i haven't seen the minister academic agenda books in a while.
Education < Making crazy profits off of unassuming Students
Education < Shilling for private publishers at the expense of students
Education < relying on the rush and stress of school to get to students to rush buying decisions without considering cheaper options
Instead of purchasing reading materials from the bookstore, opt for spending that money on a good tablet and get your reading materials in an electronic format through means you deem fit. Less money, less paper waste, and you get a free tablet out of it.
Alternatively look for books on used websites (kijiji) or on amazon. Most of the time youll save atleast 20-50%. Use that money on staying alive, eating healthy, and on events that keep student culture and unity alive, especially during these hard times.
Ordered the Loaded Burger. Although the burger was tasty, the presentation was very sloppy and it came on a dirty plate with grease smears and fingerprints all over.
Love this store! Was impressed by the great selection of quality giftware - perfect for grad and alumni gifts, along with the awesome variety of apparel. The staff were extremely helpful too.
Great place to buy all your university needs for McMaster. Just be careful when buying textbooks, you can always get free versions online if you look in the right place.
Brought my daughter for the first time. Although we have all the school supplies she sees where the books store is. She gets a school hoodie for the usual high price and a school mug and a id card case.
