This location is awesome. Great indoor track. Beautiful view overlooking the city. The only thing that could make it better is more weightlifting platforms & not charging us membership fees while the place is closed because of covid-19. I appreciate them closing for public safety, but then freeze membership payments, too.

There is a manager there by the name of Kaitlyn Smith who goes on social media and BAD MOUTHS the children and their parents that she is supposed to be incharge of. Absolutely disgusting! Have attempted to call the office and file a report.

Assistant Director - Tabitha Cobb is unequivocally the worst childcare provider I have ever had the displeasure of speaking with. I approached this young lady when picking up my niece and nephew to determine the reasoning behind them not allowing my niece and nephew's Case Worker to visit them when attempting to.

Mind you Kids First of Florida is delegated and governed by the Department of Children and Families... The Department of Children and Families also determines whether or not a facility is acceptable to care for children... With that said at no point should a government appointed affiliate be denied access to any facility or child they have care over.

When I became informed that the facility denied access I inquired as to why that could possibly be. This resulted in an agressive and accusatory response from the young lady Tabitha who claimed to be the assistant youth director of the facility... When inquiring as to why her tone was escalated with me she again continued to escalate and advise me that I was the one who initiated confrontation due to my irritation about the matter at hand. I at that point informed the young lady that as a care giver over these children I have every right to inquire as do I have every reason to be frustrated with the outcome and bothered by the lack of information being provided to us if there was certain protocol needs....I also informed Tabitha that I am now frustrated with her attitude and tonality. That it is immature and not conducive to being a representative in a child care facility. I informed that I would be filing a complaint with her director and with the Brooks facility as it is my understanding that they oversee all locations.

As I was leaving the facility she vocalized in a loud manner that "Good you need to leave". I turned to her and said that had been put on record. She then stood up rapidly and proceeded to tell me that now she is required to escort me off of the property immediately.

Why this was necessary I am unsure as I was already halfway through the door.

Later in the evening I spoke with the children's case worker to understand what took place during her visitation attempt. She advised that that is NOT protocol and that she opted to not make a scene or contact authorities for the sake of the children at the facility. She stated that they kept her in wait for over 20 minutes and made her provide 3 different types of identification which she did and they still denied access. She herself may escalate on the DCF end...

My niece and nephew have expressed that the facility is not clean nor do they provide balanced meals. They have stated that they serve still cold frozen chicken patties on hard bread and if you do not want to stomach that and risk getting ill they will only offer you a yogurt to eat. They have also expressed concerns of immature conversation and handling of situations along with favoritism... especially with the Director Shay and Assistant Director Tabitha.

I for one am shocked and appauled... I personally attended camp at this very location 20+ years ago and would rather see it torn to the ground than continue to be run in the shambled state that it's being run in.

I will be escalating further as I have made two calls and have not received a call back to vocalize my concerns.

I do not believe the staff in control of the youth program at this facility is equipped to maintain or perform the job functions of child care professionals...

Shocked and Appauled....
