After going to several dealers after my vehicles eventually degraded I decided to stop in..The crew worked a deal for me..I'm grateful to the staff...Stephanie was the nail in the coffin for me..The management we're great but could be more informative on some sales..Overall I'm happy with the outcome.. To anyone reading this, I would advise to look elsewhere. For it being my first car financed, this has been a horrible experience. I had looked online and found a vehicle I had been looking for. At first, everything had been promised and I was in the clear to make the purchase. I planned out a trip from San Antonio to pick it up. As soon as I drove back and hit San Antonio city limits, the vehicle broke down on me during evening rush hour traffic in the middle of the road. I immediately called and made a complaint, only to be promised calls back from the manager that never happened. I tried calling my sales person who never called back, asked for the manager who avoided my calls, and got a lousy excuse from another who gave me nonsense. The only person that would speak to me was the mechanic who advised me to have it towed at my expense to a local auto repair shop. Arrangements were made to have Mcleod mechanics travel to San Antonio and repaired with brand new parts. Aside from the wait time, I both missed school and work because of this mess. I received the vehicle back only to find out 2 weeks later, it has broken down on me AGAIN with the same problem. I had it inspected with my mechanic and he explained the same problem was never fixed properly. So now I am at the brink of frustration paying payments on a broken vehicle and seem to go in circles with lies and broken promises.
If you consider this company, do your homework, take a mechanic to inspect the car, but expect disappointment. I'm paying so much for all this trouble and seem to be getting no where.

Went to trade in my truck. Gave me X amount for it. Had neg equity in it. Said it wouldn't be an issue. Found a truck I liked and started the paper work. Said to go ahead take it home and we'll wait for the paperwork to come back. 3 days go by and they told me I'd need $4500 down to make the deal happen. I didn't have anything. Well they worked it down to $2800. I ended up gathering $1500 together. Asked if that would work. Last I heard was "lemme check". That was a few days ago. Still haven't heard back from anyone. Now I hear a new commercial on the radio for a dime down, credit amnisty and didn't care if person had negative equity...
Basically I will never go here again.

Jay and Danielle made our visit totally worth the drive and time we spent there. We ended up driving off in a new truck without any hassle or run around. Totally recommend asking for Danielle for a great car buying experience.

If it is it normal to spend around $900 in repairs within 20 days of purchasing a truck, this place is GREAT! Second time buyers and McLeod has no sympathy. Kudos to Freedom Jeep Chrysler and TexStar Auto Care for fixing what McLeod sold. We've done tons of maintenance work since purchasing (even bought parts on our own and asked if they would install, with no luck). My husband was driving yesterday and the power steering and brakes failed. Good thing he didn't wreck. Not interested in legal action, because we obviously signed paperwork. Mostly interested in the dealership that sold the vehicle actually giving a damn what they are allowing their customers to drive off of the lot. Use extreme caution if you are interested in purchasing from here. (btw, most of the good review come from people typing them during the buying process, not after they've taken the vehicle home.) McLeod, thanks for your "support". I look forward to warning any and everyone I can. Good reviews go to those who earn them. And you most certainly have not. And although I seem to not have your attention, you sure do have mine.

I have always DREADED car buying.That was absolutely NOT the case at McLeod.Walking in the door we were immediately greeted with friendly smiles. Jay the manager went out of his way to get is the best possible deal.The cherry on the cake was that he was by far the nicest and hard working person I have seen in a very long time.Our car salesman Mikal was so friendly and worked so hard to get us in and out,Which he did. I will continue to buy my cars here and I reccomend all my family and friends to as well.

The worst experience of my life. I will never ever in my life recommend this sorry place to anyone. Their slogan we are a dealer for the people is a damn lie. That don't care about their customers at all. The GM is rude as hell. Haven't had that car 20 days and it messed up. I don't even want the car anymore.

I had a bad experience at this dealership years ago. The things I requested then were completely ignored. I decided to give them another chance and I went in and spoke with Johnny Mac and am very glad that I did. He understood my credit issues, and they actually found me a great minivan in my price range and they completely met all of my requests. I am extremely happy with their service and the amount of respect that I was shown. These people do not know what they are doing. I wait almost 4 Months to get my plates from them. Every rime I talked to the they wanted some other paper work. I asked them to get farm plates for my company's truck that I bought from them. They did not know how to do that. I ended up having to get the paper work from them and go get my own plates in the correct county.

Go see your man Dave guy to see if you want the real deal.

My experience started online and I wasn t sure what to expect. After a few phone calls and hesitant considerations, I decided to see what they could do for me and my not so good credit. The entire sales team is down to earth and welcoming. However, James is the guy that helped me from the start on day 1. Day 2 and James is helping another customer when I arrive. No big deal, but he made every possible effort to check on me periodically, as if he s still working on my deal. Almost makes you feel like you ve just walked into a building full of old friends.

Huge shout out to James and everyone else that made it happen for me!

Safety concern they meet standards. Rosie, Chris, and Tim did not let me leave the car lot until new tires were put on my new vehicle for FREE!!!! And the weather was bad...It s more than about money, its the safety and welfare they have for customer in reference of caring about the most. Excuse my grammar.

The experience was better than the last time I came there, which was last year.

After I ve heard the ads about credit amnesty blah blah blah a million times on the radio and pre-approving me online, convincing me to drive 30 minutes away, and wasting 3 hours of my day.. I still drove away with them negatively affecting my credit further by checking my credit multiple times and that s it. Nothing they advertise is actually factual at all. Good job on getting people to come there though, even if it s under false pretenses. I was never deadset on 1 specific vehicle, and I never said I had to trade in my current vehicle

This place is a joke!!! They wanted to run our credit before we could go and take a truck for a test drive. I told them no way, i don't even know if that the one i want. Thats why we want to take it for a test drive. The woman said, well thats how we do things. I looked at my husband and told him, in front of her, I guess they don't want our business. And we walked a way. We called Liz at Bastrop Ford. She took care of us!!!

Mcleods auto sales is honestly the best car dealership you re going to find anywhere in Killeen and The surrounding area. Kaila was a HUGE help and extremely professional, helped me for months ( yeah im pretty picky with car buying) to find the car that was right for me. Mcleods itself is wonderful but if you need someone that ll go the extra mile to help Kaila is the one to ask for. Drove home in my new car yesterday and couldnt be more happy.

My experience has been very unfavorable! I had to give one star to be able to post. If I had an option for negative stars I would have done that.
The sales person, Evonne, when asked if I could get a $300-$350 a month payment for the vehicle I was asking about (2009 Jeep Wrangler), responded with "that is reasonable". They had the vehicle listed on Craigs List with a $2000 down payment you could drive away with this Jeep. They advertise "For the People" but that is nowhere close to being accurate. They make promises, which I have in text messages from Evonne, and then don't even come close to honoring their word. Evonne says, once we have your info we should know pretty quick if you are approved. Again, not the case. Gave all my info on a Friday. Called the next day and spoke with Nate in "finance". Said he didn't know anything yet and would call me back. Didn't happen. I called again. He told me he was in a different building and would call me right back or text me. Neither happened. I called back on Monday, asked for Nate, not available. Left a message and no return call. I called again and spoke with Nate who again said he was in another building. Never called back. At this point I asked to speak with the manager, Dean. He didn't really listen to my concerns but said he would rather move forward and to talk to him. He said he would call me back Tues morning by 11am. Didn't happen. I called him and was told he was on the phone. I left a message. Didn't get a return call. I called back around 5pm. Was told he wasn't picking up and asked if I wanted to leave a message. I told them I would just leave a review.
Now if you are thinking this is a guy who is upset because he was denied, please think again. I was never told anything. I was kept on the hook for 5 days. My credit score shows "fair" with all three agencies. Even if I was denied, at least have the professional courtesy to let me know. That didn't happen.
Just be warned that even though they advertise, we accept all credit, just give us $2000 down (and I offered more) they may or may not keep their word and treat you in a professional manner.
Very disappointing experience and I would not recommend to my worst enemy. Sorry
Don't be swayed when Dean writes some kind of excuse as to why this happened. The point for him was that he knew he was dealing with a customer who had already been told things that were not true and had not been followed up with in a professional timely manner as indicated. He choose to show the same unprofessional characteristics as his employees. I wonder where they get it from.
You have the freedom to choose and I suggest you shop around for the vehicle you want. You may find a better price and most certainly will find better customer service. "For the People"???? Not here!

We had an absolutely amazing experience here purchasing a car, the staff here handled us wonderfully and professionally; Our salesman Domingo was incredibly helpful and charismatic and made sure that our needs were met while we were making our decision and he guided us through our entire process, with the added help of Alex during the homestretch of paperwork we felt very well taken care of as they showed patience and understanding as we gathered the last bit of needed information to complete our purchase.
Morgan was also wonderful as she helped us sign through the finalization process and was meticulous and thoughtful as she explained everything to do with our paperwork and was extremely helpful in answering all of the questions we had to ask, not missing a beat.
Overall, our experience here was very pleasant compared to other dealerships as we didn't feel like we were getting rushed off the lot for our money which was incredibly important to us as consumers.

STAY FAR FAR AWAY! they are so good with their scam they have actually gotten away with scamming people for years. Look them up! They have bad reviews excluding the ones new sales staff write, which is part of their "Initial Hire paperwork."
