The steak sandwich was excellent. Highly recommend it. The staff were excellent and quite friendly. I sincerely enjoyed my lunch. Definitely will return to enjoy dinner.

I had a toothpick in my salad. Everything else was just average.

First time my husband and I visited this restaurant on last night and we were from out of town looking for a good restaurant.The prime rib was just right and sides were delicious. The staff was pleasant and treated us nice. We will be back soon hopefully Valentine's Day weekend.

I give 5 stars for the staff alone. They are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and right on time with there service. Entree does not come with a side. That's a separate item. But the food is really good.

This place is amazing. The food was exquisite and cooked to perfection. Their appetizer tower is a must for groups. They have an excellent dinner menu with various options available without going overboard. The service is by far the best I've personally ever experienced and I loved the dimly lit atmosphere. If you are in the mood for some fine dining out looking for a place to take that special someone, give McKendricks a try. You won't be disappointed.

Disappointing last visit. Our server was very inattentive, side dishes and one entree came out cold (one never got brought out until we asked) and they mixed up some orders. Had to ask for refills of water. They were kind enough to bring out a cupcake for a birthday celebration at the end. Normally fantastic service and food here so let down by our family's last visit.

I ve been to Harry s, The Palms and Chop s since I moved to Atlanta and McKendrick s completely blows them all out of the water the food was phenomenal!!! Steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked, roasted okra was amazing and the southern virtues cocktail delicious and strong. I would give them 10 stars if I could. Definitely going in my favorites.

Good food, nice size steak options. Sides are table style. Best part of the dinner was the Turtle pie!

Excellent tuna steak, some of the best creme brulee I've ever had

Decided to stop here one day on a whim and was more than pleased with my experience. The steak was amazing.

What you see is what you get. Great food nice ambiance and fair to decent service.
A little overpriced for what was served. Tuna appetizer was delicious but for 15$ should be larger than a single sushi bite... steaks are good quality as is most of their protein products.

I hate giving mediocre reviews. The food is fine, but sooooo overpriced. For $38, the grilled grouper should have blown me away. It was fine, but it should have been so much more than fine. Although they have a grill, the asparagus was steamed with absolutely no seasoning, not even a bit of Parmesan.

Good food. Good atmosphere. Good customer service. Two people can share and eat the vegetables.

My husband remembered fondly the days of business dinners there. We went for a special occasion. The food was hot and served well but not tasty. No seasoning. My filet tasted like beef liver, and I don t eat liver. We had seafood, onion soup (tasted canned) and filet.

Amazing service. They catered to my son's allergies which are rather severe. The food was excellent. We had an amazing time.

I would suggest the seared tuna, fillets, and lamb chops.

Nothing spectacular for the price. Waiter was more concerned with a bigger party than ours . I had to keep calling for him which was a nuisance. We were able to be sitted before reservation which was nice. Overall average service not spectacular.

took my mother , wife and aunt to Mckendricks steakhouse because of the rating and outstanding reviews. The service was subpar. The waiter came to our table maybe twice during our dinning experience. I order my steak medium well. The steak was burned and dry. My wife s steak was dry nd burned as well. My aunts salmon was cold and over cooked. My mother actually enjoyed her steak. The cream corn was not creamy at all, it s was watery and contained bacon bits. The menu did not specify he corn contained bacon bits, seeing how I do not consume pork I was upset. The artichoke was over cooked and not edible. The parmasean cheese on the artichoke was burned as well. The risotto was not seasoned and extremely watery. When the waiter finally returned I notified him of the side dishes and the steaks. The waiter stated he would remove the sides dishes from the bill , but did not ask if we wanted to select another item. He also stated the steaks are suppose to be chard that is the restaurant specialty. My wife and I requests A1 and Heinz steak sauce for the steaks. The waiter literally walked pass our table 15 minutes later and stated he forgot and returns 2 minute later. By that time I had ate half of my steak and it was cold. My wife & aunt got there food to go. The manager came over and ask for feedback on out dining experience. I stated everything I mentioned above. He thank me for the feedback and offered us (2) deserts.

Great food! Had the Bone-in Ribeye and some grilled shrimp, with creamy corn! Amazing meal! Can't wait to go back!

An Atlanta classic. Located at the top of the perimeter for decades, a great steak house. Pricey expect to spend 75$ plus for 2 but worth every penny. an excellent restaurant with an excellent staff and excellent food. Great for business or dates or occasions but best for celebrations of success.

As usual McKendricks was wonderful with Paul as our waiter and Bryan at the bar. We are so pleased that this timeless restaurant still remains. We are so sad to know that our friend Taco has passed and we wish the best for his family. Claudia and Doug are very special people and we hope the legacy of McKendricks will remain for decades of patrons to enjoy.

Expensive but tasty. You have to eat there at least once.

Went here first time for Mother's day. Fancy restaurant and pricey, everything is al a cart. I had the bass and it was delicious. All the food was delicious and the service was good. Entrees are around $20-$68. The sides are from $8-$12... $9,for fries?! No thank you. I didn't find it worth $38 for my bass and $9 for steam veggies. But you are getting quality food. The veggies are bought locally and the seafood is fresh and shipped from the Gulf. Chicken is cage free raised so I give them that.

I went here with my gf for my 23rd birthday & was really disappointed by the end of the night. The restaurant looked great, the waiter was very professional, and it wasn t too busy. Even a manager checked up on us to see if things were perfect. It was great... until the staff realized we didn t want to drink & spend more on overpriced drinks. We were ignored for almost an hour, water wasn t refilled, waiter didn t check on us, and never came back to ask us if we wanted desert. An hour and a half into dinner I asked a different waiter for a check. I paid for a $100+ meal, feeling insulted & treated like a child who had no business eating there. I expected better from such an established restaurant. I m taking my money elsewhere.

The food and ambiance are always amazing! The steak, fried lobster tails, garlic mashed potatoes and lobster mashed potatoes are delicious!!!

Overrated. My food wasn't worth the hype and I was told they were changing their chef. Maybe it's better now?

Food was perfectly prepared. Fried oysters for an appetizer and the ribeye with a side of lobster mashed potatoes. Frank at the bar was on point. Great first experience. I will definitely return.

We planned to go to Stoney River at Cumberland, but traffic was atrocious, so we googled the closest steak house to where we were and McKendrick's by Perimeter Mall came up. Luckily a u-turn put us right there. Never been there before and mostly ignored the sign when passing, although I'd seen it many times.

However, once inside, it became memorable. From the hostess to the ambiance, to the food, to the service, (Mike was amazing, funny, friendly and made our first experience wonderfully enjoyable) to the manager...EVERYTHING was EXQUISITE! Neither of us drink, but I can venture to guess, that too would've been extraordinarily delicious.

I'd definitely recommend it and won't pass the sign again without remembering that experience. Will definitely go back!

Excellent seafood and steaks. Upscale atmospher and incredible service. We went on a Monday night and it was not busy. We were seated right away. Expensive but we got our money's worth.

There are several of names when it comes to steak in Atlanta ... and I live in town with tons of options, but McKendricks is consistently great.

Came here for the first time with my in law side of the family yesterday. Its Christmas weekend so we thought we should go somewhere nice and new. The restaurant was not busy when we got there at 6. If you are coming here, make sure you have a lot of time on your hands. We waited over an hr for our food to come out after we place the order. When the food came out, the escargot was overcooked and has no flavor. My steak was burnt. I asked for medium well yes but the steak was so burnt that I cant even taste the steak. What a waste of money! My husband's steak was good thanks to the sauce. His was cooked medium. On top of that, our server didnt even come back to check on us after he took our order. So not coming back or recommended to anyone! Use your money elsewhere!

Food and the drinks were great. Steak was cooked exactly as requested and that in itself is a win. The service was wonderful and we were seated with empty tables between ours and the next guests (social distancing of course). Would definitely recommend!

Yes, especially if you are from Germany: this place is not cheap. But the food is very good. I had a bone-in ribeye which was perfectly cooked, the sides were all good. Appetizer were snow crabs, already prepared for easy eating :-) the Manhattan was great as well. And the service was professional and patient with us. Good place to go.

Steaks cooked at 1700 F. Phenomenal. And with a fine Brunello it can't be beat.

I had a fantastic evening. Our servers were amazing and the food was delicious. My group Ordered appetizers, the steam oysters, and raw oysters were delicious, and so was the calamari. The Lamb Loin Chops, Mero Sea Bass Steak, Scottish Salmon, Jumbo Shrimp, was on point. Can't wait to return

My lamb chops chard to perfection pink center absolutely delicious. My garlic Lobster mashed potatoes creamy and delicious. My lobster mac and cheese absolutely beautiful and delicious. All of the food came out hot which is so important. The appetizer was calamari fried crispy and was tender, seasoned beautifully. My drink was mixed perfectly with the correct amount of ice just as I asked. And the most, I mean the most important thing that started everything off was the waiter he was absolutely genuine with his kindness answered all questions with a smile and made suggestions. He told us about all the specials. This was my first time going to this restaurant "Mckendrick's" I will definitely spread the word to my friends that will appreciate a restaurant this nice and most of all I will be returning with my family of 4. One last thing the dessert was a chocolate gelato cream pie with warm chocolate poured over it, with crisp chocolate graham crackers underneath absolutely divine.

Went here for pre prom dinner. Waiter came and said the chopped sirloin slaps so the whole table ended up getting the sirloin. They then served us extremely undercooked hamburger meat. Must ve forgotten to put the cow in the oven. Smh. The sirloin did not in fact slap. 0/10 would not recommend

Food was tasty but the entrees were only warm, not hot and the acoustics were bad. I'd give it another shot though

McKendrick's is a nice restaurant, quiet, elegant, great atmosphere. My husband and I went there recently to celebrate an event. The food was good, although I wasn't impressed with their Au Gratin Potatoes or Salad. Service was so-so, although there weren't many people dining in. I might possibly go back in future, but, honestly, I'd probably choose elsewhere for a fine-dining experience.

Started with a salad "wedge" with bacon, cherry tomatoes and a little extra bleu cheese on top. Lovely starter. Then I had the chopped sirloin steak and it was above average but not exceptional. Carmelized onions on top added some flavor but the meat was pretty bland. The side of sauteed garlic spinach was outstanding. MY colleagues had a tuna sandwich (daily special) with fries the portion was enormous. My other partner had salad topped with grilled salmon. Both dishes looked terrific and, even though I have been trying to stay away from carbohydrates, I did have to have a piece of the hot, fresh bread with butter. Old school but delicious.

I enjoy good steaks and I can honestly say the bone-in ribeye at McKendrick's is one of the best that I have ever had. It is consistently good. The service is very pleasant as well. I highly recommend.

Great service, perfect atmosphere, and great food. This is a very elegant establishment.

Had a filet, which was cooked to the definition of medium and tasted delicious. Try the mushroom risotto and Cesar salad as well, both were great.

I decided to try McKendrick's on a whim after having eaten at another restaurant in the same area the night before. While the prices were high, and the sides priced separately, the quality was peerless in my experience. I had the Lamb Loin Chops, Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Oven Grilled Okra. If I had not been in a public place I would likely have been licking my plate. The service was excellent, I was seated immediately on a Thursday evening, my Waiter was always nearby and there seemed to be an abundance of staff to make sure all tables were tended quickly. The cost of my meal was likely a little lower than average as my Lamb was on the low end of the price scale, I did not order a desert, and I did not consume any alcohol.

It was great to go out again after many weeks at home. Thanks to Mark S and the rest of the awesome staff at McKendricks for making our evening really enjoyable.
The steak was great as always, and the service was attentive.

Really enjoyed this place! The south african cold water lobster tail was perfect. Crab cake, cream corn and loaded mash was good! The fiance she had the bone in ribeye very tender and well cooked! This place definitely a must if you haven't been.
