Usually after you have had an experience with an auto dealer you are sent a survey that they want to fill out to see how they did. In this case a google review is voluntary and I wanted to take the time to point out my experience I had with this dealer. I own GM vehicles, a Lexus an Acura all purchased from dealers.
I have to say that I had the most pleasant / no pressure experience with Mayfield Toyota. From the first email enquiry to the delivery of the vehicle and I owe that experience to Andy Lam. He was very informative, patient, generous and kind. I am not writing all this for his benefit I am writing it for the readers. If anyone is looking for a Toyota product, please look up Andy at Mayfield. He has a long term customer with me and my family now. Thank you Andy for going above and beyond.

I just bought my first new vehicle from Mayfield Toyota, and it was an incredible experience all around. The staff is professional, communicative, and friendly. My Product Advisor, Hassan Fawaz made buying a vehicle stress-free. He was trustworthy, kind, and truly went above and beyond to ensure that I had an excellent customer experience. Thank you so much Hassan. Also, the Financial Services Manager, Tracy, was amazing to work with. Her personal touch, energetic attitude, and expert advice made financing my first vehicle much less stressful. We visited Mayfield Toyota yesterday after doing much research about the Rav 4s. We saw a few on the website that we wanted to look at, and had an appointment with Carson Ehret. Our first impression was right on with Carson, he could not have been a better sales person, he was very kind and knowledgeable. He could answer any questions we asked, and obviously asked the right questions, because we did settle on a Rav 4. We then dealt with Carsons manager Kyle Scott, who was also very very good, and had our interests and budget in mind as well as the companies. So as this all worked for us we went next to see Jodi Fournier in the Finance Department, who again was so very good to deal with, she explained everything so well, and laid out all of our options that we could not have asked for anything better. Back to pick up the vehicle today where Carson went through everything in detail with us, as did Jodi again today for signing the final papers. The last person we saw to sign off on everything was Andrew Sova who made very sure we were 100% happy with everything. We were reminded by all of these people that they are here if we have any questions or concerns about anything. We have had Toyota for all of our cars in past and again are trust in Toyota. Mayfield Toyota goes above and beyond!!

I took my veh into Mayfield Toyota for an oil change and they diagnosed an issue with a wheel bearing which will require replacement. They quoted $1100 and asked if I would want them to do the service right then. I held off and checked with another mechanic who did the same service (parts and labor) for $350. I can't wrap my head around the huge price discrepancy given the same service required. It took less than 1.5 hours to complete the replacement. I can understand if it was a couple hundred dollar difference, but $800 is ridiculous! This seems totally wrong

This review is only for Marsha and Jimmy. They were both awesome to deal with, Marsha was super friendly and down to earth. Jimmy was very friendly and helpful. The one service manager who's name I didn't get however was horrible. They tried to sell me my truck at the regular price, when I said the payments didn't work, he switched it to the sale price that was posted on Kijiji. Like he had done me a favor. I thought something was off because I couldn't remember the price at the time, so when I left I checked and took screen shots, when I confronted them, the service manager spoke down to me and said he didn't start with the original price of the truck even though it was on the work up sheet. Showed me the screen and asked why he would do that. As I wanted the truck and I liked the service from Jimmy and Marsha, I went ahead with it anyways. If you go, only deal with Jimmy or Marsha. Or Larry, he was my original contact and still remembered to shake my hand at the end of the entire transaction.

Before I went to Mayfield Toyota I already visited 3 Toyota dealers. Apt was booked through online chat and I got email right a way from sales person Andy Lam. It was informative apt next day and he explained everything though I already knew a lot from those dealers that I already visited. Such a humble sales person and very respectful to the client. Andy you helped me make a deal. It was such a great experience to work with you. I will recommend to everyone at least meet with him and see the difference that what is customer service and pushing sales guys like other.

As I worried, the next morning when I check my transmission pan, I found quite a few transmission oil remain on the ground and the transmission level is low again. So I take my car to the dealer again.........

I met the same service adviser Jackie, she handled my case very professionally and properly, which is the only reason I did not change the review to 1 star and keep it as two stars.

In the afternoon, they finished the repair and explained the reason to me: The pan is slight deformation (no impact sign, just wear out due to aging), they resealed the pan with sealant and leaving vehicle running on hoist for one hour for checking.

It is definitely one of my worst car service experience and I have no idea how could they performed such amateurish work on my car. I thought they had a Toyota Platinum Certified Dealership reputation to maintain. My detailed experience as following.

Recently I decided to take my car to Mayfield Toyota to replace my transmission oil pan gasket. Although it would cost me over CAD 388+GST to replace a CAD 25 gasket, but I thought a Toyota Platinum dealer would do a quality work and the work itself is quite straight forward. The fact is: I was wrong.

When I returned my car after the repair and was ready to drive away, my gut feeling told me that I should check the transmission oil level. The moment I checked the transmission oil level, I was so shocked that I almost lost my language. I CAN NOT see any transmission oil on the dipstick. In order to be accurate, I checked two more times, and got exactly same result for all three checks. (Minus two stars)

So, I immediately returned to service front desk and explained my situation to a lady. After their internal communication, the lady asked me to drive my car to their service registration bay. I immediately refused the request, as it is TOTALLY DANGEROUS to drive a car if transmission oil cannot be seen on the dipstick. However, the lady from service desk insisted and told me that the technical said it is fine. (Is it really FINE?? Minus two stars)

To avoid further unmeaningful disputes, I unwillingly took a step back and very carefully drove my car to their service registration bay. One technician walked out, checked my ATF level and started to put extra ATF to my car. At service registration bay, a Toyota technician adding ATF oil to a customer s car after the complain, is such a scene for me that I will never forget it in my life. I did not know other's feeling, but for me as a professional engineer, I would not feel good about it.

I cannot imagine what could happen if I did not check my ATF level. If the low ATF caused my transmission burned, it will be at least a 3000 to 4000 CAD bill to me or worse. I may have to say goodbye to my car due to such amateur work .

So 5-2-2=1, I should give 1 star or lower for me experience, instead I gave them two stars due the following reasons:

They finished the job before the appointed time
They charged me CAD 364.14 in total which is less than the quote
My service advisor is a nice and very knowledgeable lady (the one from service registration desk, definite NOT the one from the service front desk)
The shuttle service is nice with very short waiting time

On the receipt, it says that I could complain my experience to the Service Manager or Customer Relations Manager, but I did not find any phone number or email address about them. So, I put my personal experience on google review to remind people, what could happen to them. For your own sake, make your decision wisely.

As for me, I need to watch over my transmission performance and oil level all the time, worry about transmission oil pan 18 screws and installation torque (if they did install these screws), worry about the transmission drain plug and sealing gasket, worry about ATF leakage. As if some mechanical technician did not know how to correctly check ATF level at the first time, I should lower my expectation on their work accordingly.

My wife and I bought our first new Vehicle with Mayfield Toyota. Our Buying experience was fantastic and we have been very pleased with our Rav4. Post purchase we have been taking the vehicle in for service at Mayfield and have found it to be adequate. My only suggestion is never have your windshield repaired with them. Take your vehicle to a glass shop to have the work done.

When I bought my car, i purchased with it an extended warranty. The girl who sold me on the warranty sealed the deal with condition that i would get a full refund on the warranty if i didn't need to use it by the end of the term (3 years). After discussing this situation with some of the personnel here, i was given the run around for several months to finally receive nothing in the end. I will not be going back to these guys ever again and i will make sure to let everyone in my union and parents teacher committees, kids sports practices and anywhere else i can spread the word. Its stressful enough going through the process of buying a car, but to get ripped off then given the run around 3 years later is unacceptable to me.

I brought my car in for some recall work (The recent airbag recall as well as 3 or 4 outstanding ones I wan't aware my car needed) and when I picked up my car I noticed two issues which were not there prior to me taking it in. My glove compartment wouldn't close properly and my alignment was off. When contacting them they agreed to look at it and fixed the glove compartment but decided they weren't responsible for the alignment. However, big surprise, they offered to charge me to fix it. Go elsewhere for your service.

He was assured rav4 for $40,000 including everything but the final invoicing was done for approx $44000 with instalment of $275 even when you goto toyota's site and they show lesser instalment. We feel cheated at this dealership.

Outstanding customer service! Michael, Wayne and Gerry were extremely informative. All three answered all of the questions I had, and never once was I made to feel like my questions were silly. I would recommend this dealership in a heartbeat.
In addition, the wonderful customer service does not stop on the sales floor, The Mayfield Toyota service department is amazing too. This dealership has staff that are wanting to provide the best service to their customers. Of all the dealerships I have been to this one is by far the best. FIVE STAR DEALERSHIP INDEED! :)

I didn't have a problem with the service when I had it done July 2018, but in the last few weeks I've been emailed 6 times and now I'm being called to book an appointment when I've said multiple times that I do not take my car there anymore and that I DO NOT wish to be contacted. Not to mention the voicemail left this morning was in regards to a supposed appointment booked for today when the only communication I've had with this dealership since July 2018 is indicating that I do not need service and do not wish to be contacted. PLEASE leave me alone.

If there is anyone from Toyota that read these reviews please take note as to the nature of the reviews that are posted. I have been reading the reviews now for an hour and can clearly see where the problem lies. As with my own personal experience below, the problem reviews lies in the practices of the service department. My intial statement posted here includes an intial issue with the Pre-Owned service department, but ends with the main service department most recently. This in affect, shows that the main service department practices are now falling into a state of acrimony as well. All negative reviews seem to focus on service after a good purchasing experience reflected by the positive reviews.

Now for my story.

My first experience with Mayfield Toyota was harrowing to say the least. I had purchased a pre-owned Toyota that had a major issue that I discoverd a few days after the purchase. The used vehicle manager along with his head mechanic denied there was a problem and returned it to me. I took my vehicle right around the building and had the new vehicle technicians diagnose the issue and determined the issue was not only very serious, but was well over $2500 to repair. I then took my concerns to the General Manager. The GM was very attentive and immeadiately addressed the issue and resolved the problem and as a good faith gesture gave me lifetime free oil changes, so I remained loyal to Mayfield for years now.

Today, I went to Mayfield, as I was in the area and though I did not have an appointment I wanted to speak to someone in service about making an appointment. I was surprised to see that there was an employee standing outside the service entrance forbidding people to enter the building. When asked, the employee stated that under their new policy everyone had to drive their vehicle into the bay area for an inspection first so I had to get in the ever growing line of vehicles that were now 10 deep outside the bay doors as the bay now had 6 vehicles inside.

Thinking that the employee may have not understood my purpose there I re-stated that I was there to talk to service, book an appointment and perhaps go to the parts desk to purchase a new wheel depending on price. The employee said that if I didn't make an appointment that I "should have not come to the dealership at all". "So no one can enter the building to speak to service?" I asked. "No, but if you get in line and drive into the service bay like everyone else for a walkaround inspection, you can speak to them afterward but they will not repair your car today but most likely a week or two from now. It is really better this way because it ensures your safety by making sure everything looks good prior to addressing any other issues. All Toyota dealerships are doing it this way."

It was really nice when you could come in and speak to the service desk and book an appointment and get advice on what to do until that appointment. If it was something as simple as a part like a gas cap for example, they would direct you the parts department to purchase one. Now it seems it's all about ramping up invoices. I am sure these "walkaround inspections" prior to discussing why you are there are to seek out add ons which is why it's "better" and for my "safety".

To close, I decided to forfiet my Lifetime Oil Changes. I left Mayfield never looking back and drove to another Toyota dealer in the city which I will not mention the name and location here as the focus of this post is Mayfield. Take note Mayfield, I feel the arrogance of some of your staff will make things far worse before they turn for the better.

By comparison, the other dealership allowed customers in the building, I spoke to the service department, and they were friendly and more than happy to book me in. They even pulled up all my service records and showed me a complete history of my vehicle and informed me that all services and campaigns have been kept up diligently before and after I purchased it. They even offered me a loaner vehicle. What an incredible difference.

Went to the dealership to purchase a car with my boyfriend, Renee was very nice and patient. Excellent customer service, really impressed with the way he handled all situations. As soon as I called in to the dealership to ask for a few pictures of the vehicle he responded right away, and we purchased the vehicle on the same day. The manager Stu was also very fast, and came to a number that we agreed on and the deal was very fair. Overall very impressed with the way things went. We're really happy with the vehicle, big thanks to Renne & Stu!

My experience at Mayfield Toyota was the best car buying experience I ve ever had! Andy Lam went above and beyond, he wasn t at all pushy and made the experience so easy and stress free! He even went so far as to put helpful little tabs in the owners manual for me he seriously thinks of everything!! His presentation going over the vehicle features upon delivery was clear, concise and well thought out. I have never had such a wonderful experience buying a vehicle and will recommend Andy and Mayfield Toyota to everyone I know! I LOVE MY NEW TOYOTA!!!!

In general, i would AVOID this dealership. Phi in sales - only good thing about this place. Reception - awful. The girls that answer the phones there are so rude and unprofessional. A few of the folks in the service department can be friendly, however the service itself leaves more to be desired. Every time I drop my vehicle off I have to stand in line and wait. They don't seem to want to go above and beyond for the customer here. You would think they would be use to the high volume of customers, and make have more staff to make the wait short. I was told to come in for service on a part I was waiting for, than phoned AFTER I left my vehicle and asked why i had dropped it off. Not impressed and will try and find another Toyota to go to.

Had horrible service from there finance department. Felt ashamed not to have great credit. We even put a deposit on a used vehicle, and was informed a week later that it was sold. And it took another week to even get our deposit back.
To many problems to write in a review, but I will never set foot in this dealership again. And I will go out of way to discourage people from going here.

I have shopped around many dealerships in Edmonton...

I have shopped around many dealerships in Edmonton looking for the perfect car at a great price. We happened to find a beautiful truck here. Andy Lam took great care of us. He knows the products down to the last detail, making sure we know all the extra features of the car. He was able to work with us in getting all the features we wanted for the best pricing possible. Questions were always answered with care and patience.

Andy explained everything and prices were upfront and no surprises were found. I was extremely happy with my purchase, and I would 100% recommend Andy to my friends and family.

We will be enjoying our new truck!

The used car sales team will screw you over and make you look like the idiot. The used car sales team sold us a truck for over 30,000 when you can buy them new for 20,000. The used car sale for you team is extremely rude. Would not recommended them to anyone! we got screwed over 9000 dollars I'm compared to any other dealership. And they ruined my husbands credit!

complete crooks.. I went to buy a brand new Toyota Rav4 had the paper work signed a deposit on the vehicle and everything. I get a call the next day that a mistake was made and the 5 year term that was agreed to was incorrect and was actually 7 years. are u kidding me. they tried saying that since I had signed that they could sue me and or take legal action. needless to say I did not end up buying the suv after much fighting with the manager and went to gateway where I bought the suv at the same price for 5 year loan like I wanted. buyer beware.

Would be a 5 star review except for the starter escapade as listed in the review....

Brad Perry was phenominal! Fitted me with the perfect 4 runner in short notice. Sent him a message the day before and when i came in the next day the runner with all things on my whishlist was parked out front and waiting for me. I love how Toyota has the vehicle maintance plan and free oil changes/filter. No other dealers offer this service or will match it if their trying to sell a toyota off their lot.

My toyota is beyond reliable in the safety department. Was rammed 3x by a drunk driver at 70-80km/h and the only damage done was to the hitch, NO damages to the frame or body.

Only downfall is the remote starter escapade (just be sure when buying a vehicle it is a toyota brand starter or else u will get a huge run around, so far mines now at 10 months in getting this dealt with. Although the starter legit broke after 2 months driving off the lot they wont fix it. You get sent to other shops to see if they deal with it and then if they deal woth it you')) end up having to fit the bill im assuming. Still havent found a shop that will deal with it)

If you are in the market for a new vehicle go and see J.C. Solis. My wife and I went in for a van and he was very friendly and accommodating from the get go and even hustled to get our test drive vehicle out. Was an absolute pleasure to deal with and would go see him again. We walked in looking for a fair deal and got it. We picked up our new vehicle 2 days after where it was nice and shined up and he went through all the features with us even though Saturday was their busy day. Great communication, follow up, and friendliness is what made the deal. Listened to our needs first and foremost with none of the pressure or sales tactics. Great guy.

I purchased my Toyota Tundra from Mayfield Toyota recently. I have spent over a year in the market for the perfect vehicle, and have visited every dealer in Edmonton.

Robert Furlong offered EXCELLENT service. He took the time to listen to my needs, worked diligently to come up with a fair deal for both of us, and did not take the high pressure sales approach I've experienced at every other dealership in this city. He remained kind and invested throughout the entire process, making me feel like I mattered more than the sale.

Kudos to Robert Furlong and the entire mayfield staff, you guys were excellent!

The staff here are super friendly and accommodating. Went in just to see what they had in my price range, and left the same day in my car! Hassan Fawaz was quick to assist us, but not in a pushy way. He answered all the questions, got me a test drive right away, helped me set up my Bluetooth, and even went out of his way so I could drop off my trade-in another day. I will definitely be referring people to him!

Andrew Dye at Mayfield Toyota replied promptly and was a pleasure to deal with. We exchanged a few emails, he understood what I wanted, was very professional and always respected my wishes in dealing with the purchase. There was never any pressure into something outside of our request. We are from outside Edmonton, our vehicle was ready on time as promised. Andrew took the time to explain the features of the vehicle and go over the entire vehicle with us. Andrew and Mayfield Toyota made this purchase a pleasant experience.

I high appreciated Andy Lam's service here, I ordered a RAV4 hybrid at the end of May and the delivery date was pushed multiple times. Andy proactively inquired the status from the manufacture and escalated the issue to his GM. Without his diligence, I may never got my car. On delivery day Andy spent over half an hour to go through all features of the vehicle. His patience and professional service really impressed me.

When I call in and book appointments I am told it ...

When I call in and book appointments I am told it will take X amount of time when I get into the shop they tell me a different time and more often then not it s way longer and as I have other appointments I can t get my car fixed. They never get things done and always take all day to do a simple oil change. I would not recommend going here
Again today here at 10 am for oil change still here car not done and it s 12:21.....

Vince at Mayfield Toyota is the best mechanic I ever could have asked for!!!!!! He always explains what's going on with my truck in terms I can actually understand and I never feel pressured or taken advantage of there. It's hard to find a good mechanic you can trust but luckily I have him He is amazing.

The lady that checked me in for my appointment was...

The lady that checked me in for my appointment was good, but that was the end of it. A oil change and swap to winter tires. Scheduled 2 hours, got back to pick it up and they hadn't even started yet. Asked them to rush it a bit and still took another 2 hours. Covid 19 in edmonton and they had people waiting all over the place. Discussed with others waiting and they said it's always bad here but they insist you bring your purchased here vechial here. Very unhappy

Great experience dealing with this dealership, from what started as a text message chat through their website, eventually turned into having a very fair trade in value offered on my Tacoma - then bringing home my new Tundra; quite the upgrade to say the least & I love the new vehicle!

It was a pleasure to deal with Andy (Lam) for the online purchase, as well as the finance dept (John) who helped secure financing to meet my budget and get me into exactly what I wanted from a new vehicle.

Very happy to have dealt with this dealer and it's people; friendly attentive service and I got the perfect truck thanks to their help!

Where should I begin...

Purchasing our 2016 Toyota RAV4 from Mayfield Toyota was an excellent experience. Mayfield Toyota has really friendly and professional staff who jumped at the opportunity to make it the best experience for car-buyers. (staff from parts, service, and the sales department + shuttle driver)

We were helped by Raymond Wong, who is fluent in Cantonese which helped us BIG TIME!! He was also able to give us added accessories such as undercoating, car starter, roof racks and a bunch of other stuff at a VERY reasonable price.

On the day of the vehicle pick-up, we noticed a scratch on the side of our vehicle, probably from another customer (very unfortunate...but WAIT!! it will get better from here!!)

Kyle Scott (Mr. Sales Manager) and Raymond, without hesitation helped coordinate and book appointments to get the vehicle fixed up.

The first appointment was to try to get the scratch rebuffed, however, it was still somewhat noticeable, (because it was a brand new vehicle that didn't even make it off the lot yet, so of course we didn't want the vehicle to have any scratches). So Kyle set up another appointment to have the spot re-painted and repaired.

All-in-all it was a very positive car-buying experience, and without a doubt I will be recommending my friends and family members to come check out Mayfield Toyota.

S***y situations do occur, but the individuals from Mayfield turned a crappy situation into a positive one. Props.

Here is my story, I started my business few years ago. I looked around for a reliable vehicle in order to get the job done. As everybody else I checked also the used vehicles market first, being not very happy with pricing/quality I decided to go with a brand new one so of course couldn't be anything else but Toyota. As I just started my business I said let's go to Mayfield Toyota as many friends of mine recommended me. It was Friday afternoon, I remember like now, Nicholas Seaton approached me and my wife, invited us in his office, talked a little bit about trucks, took the Tacoma for a spin and that was it, it was love at the first sight . Couple years later as my business grew I went back to Nicholas Seaton of course to ask for a bigger truck as my business got better now. As soon as I walked in there he saw me and knew exactly what I needed, the big, nice and powerful 5.7 v8 Tundra. I trusted Nick and I don't regret that decision at all. Thank you Nick, thank you Toyota for helping in making that decision!!!

PS: I just brought my brother in law in few days ago to see Nick as I know him really good now and how experienced he is. He bought a Tacoma TRD for his busines as well!

In tuff times we look into our expenses and try to bring it down as much as we can. I've been a customer for over 5 years but I think I'm gnna look else where and ask my friends and my family to stop going there. Total rip off. And they don't care if you've been a customer for whatever amount of years.
Not a happy customer.
Don't recommend anyone going there!

I had a great experience in the used car section from where I bought a Volkswagen Tiguan last week. It's a good car to drive and the salesperson who helped me to select my car is Mr. Vendan sekar. He is excellent in his professional knowledge that he explained each and everything about all the vehicles I had in my list so that I was free to select. I had a really great time with him and I would like to refer my friends to mayfield Toyota just because there is some one like him whom we can trust completely.
