Maya Ubud is the best place to stay. Spacious garden. Friendly Staff, Good food, Variety of breakfast choises
Superb peaceful place and close to the center of ubud
We stayed in Maya fot our honeymoon and can't recommend their villas.
Pros:
1. the property is beautiful really nice gardens specially hanging pools and entrance.
Cons:
1. The room was very humid and there were ants in our bed every night.
2.The bed sucks, it is tough and it is not a proper queen bed but two twins put together so it was hard to use the middle part.
3.Food in the buffet was okeyish. Three times more expensive than any good restaurant in Ubud.
4.Bathroom layout was complicated, a metal bathtube in which you had to shower, a decorative rail full of stones in the middle of the floor (your feet falls there several times) and a sink that was extremely low to be comfortable.
Definitely not the type of hotel that makes you feel super cozy in the room to just want to return and take a nap. (Which is the price you pay).
Maya Ubad is a amazing place to stay their staff are so friendly and helpful. Everything is is fantastic so much so we have stayed 10 times and will come again.
Went here for our honeymoon. I mentioned that we were on honey during booking, and they gave us a lot of compliments including honeymoon cake and free honeymoon photoshoot. Amazing hotel with amazing service and beautiful nature views. They have two big pools but we always went to the one near the river just because we love to walk in the nature. Very recommended and will be back for sure!
Very classy and stylish, great spacious area and very nice staff. In addition, the breakfast was very good and varied! The 2 pools are great!
Everything in Maya Ubud is very good. The villas, the restaurant, the pools, the spa, the tranquility, the natural environment with paddies on one side and river on the other. A joy to relax and also very close to the town.
It was good for the price but don t expect super high end luxury. I didn t spend that much time in the room or on the resort as a result. The people are very nice though!
Maya Ubud captures the definition of paradise like no other. The resort's vast amount of land is surrounded by lush tropical rainforest and the infinity pools will take your breath away. We loved everything about this resort from the amazing breakfast buffet to the excellent service and friendliness of the staff.
The hotel and the bungalows are beautiful. The restaurant is expensive though.
The best way to forget the crowded world because here you get the natural environment, the best view so you feeling like living in the jungle
Maya Ubud, beautiful, clean, nice view, professional friendly staff, standard prices, just cool.
Hotel Resort less than 1km from the center of Ubud with more than 14 hectares of land in the middle of the jungle where you can live a dream stay. It has absolutely all the comforts you can imagine without leaving the premises. It is worth paying a little more and staying in a private villa with a pool.
Can't recommend this place enough, I was there out of high season so not that busy, the breakfast was great, dinner expensive, better off going into Ubud instead.
Perfect, cannot fault this place. From start to finish it was heaven. Can t wait to go back.
Nice and quiet resort in the middle of a forest close to ubud center.
Nothing negativ! Every thing perfect : green, nice, quiet and very good food. I'll be back definitely.
I stayed here for my honeymoon. I would not recommend to anyone or return.
Pros:
1. the property is beautiful especially the spa pool.
2. We got a surprise honeymoon cake which was a great surprise.
3. There is a free shuttle bus that runs every hour until 5pm for pick ups/drop offs into town.
Cons:
1. on the first night I woke up screaming because I could feel something crawling on my face. When we turned on the lights we found close to 10 flying ants in the bed and in the bed. The front desk offered to do a treatment in the room which they did and it helped. On the last night we found an ant in our bed (I understand given the area of the hotel that these kinds of things happen - for example the ant in the bed or 1-2 flying ants wouldn t have been a big deal but there were a lot and we did not enjoy being in the hotel. We felt like there were also many geckos in our room with one making very loud noises every night. I just feel that for the price we paid and being a 5 star hotel this shouldn t be happening. We went to relax but were unable to sleep through the night. We complained several times and were finally offered a free ride to our next hotel as compensation. The first few times we complained the staff didn t seem to care and told
Us there was nothing they could do for us.
2. The customer service in general wasn t great. For example, when we were checking out they charged us for a water bottle that we never drank. When we inquired about the charge they told us the bottle in the fridge was leaking/cracked so they billed us for it.
3. There s only 1 outlet in the room which makes it difficult to charge things since you can only do 1 at a time
4. The food in the buffet is a 0/5. Not only is it extremely bland with limited choices, it s also very overpriced. We paid 80 Canadian dollars for 2 people when food outside the hotel is a fraction of the cost. We made the mistake of eating here the first night. There s so many cheaper, better tasting options off the resort.
5. We had a pool vila, however the pool is so small you can t swim in it. The most you can do is sit in it and we didn t feel it was worth the extra cost.
Again, we paid a lot to stay here and we were hoping for an amazing relaxing stay and found the service and room was lacking.
A very nice resort. The pools are a luxury and the gardens so perfect. I do not put 5 stars because they tried to scam me in the laundry
A wonderful resort hotel. We recommend staying in a villa.
Nicely thought, cant believe it has been built 20 years ago
Extraordinary experience in an amazing resort. Authentic, handcrafted wood, luxury, and technology combined in one place. Wonderful staff and very friendly.
+ Breakfast was very good, something for everyone
+ staff very friendly
+ clean, well-kept area
+ nice design
+ Quiet location and still close to the center with our own shuttle service that is free of charge
+ beautiful pool area or two pools
+ Nice view
- musty smell in the room
- Bed linen damp / clammy
- very small terrace (on the main house)
- no privacy (very visible)
- / + Electrical devices defective when moving in were replaced immediately after this was pointed out
- Not enough sunbathing areas by the pool for the number of guests
- Taxi very expensive from the resort (own taxi)
- not suitable for wheelchairs
- damp spots
We were zwsr only in the spa area guest. But it was a dream. Great hotel, great facility. The spa is awesome.
#iczzBali at the pool room is very big. Nice environment Today, reading 2 books, looking out into the cliff Below is the #MayaUbud #Bali waterfall stream.
This hotel is a paradise. Everything is right here. More luxury is hardly possible. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The massage in this beautiful spa area is very relaxing and while you are massaged, you can hear the water rushing. The food is also very good. All in all highly recommended. I often think of the days in this hotel. Even our children (22 and 28) enjoyed the stay.
As expected, it was a 5 star. The design of the pool and the view surrounded by the forest are nice, but narrow. It was a room with a bathtub, but the water stop didn't work like that, and the shower was just running away and the hot water was finally collected.
I checked in on the night of December 31, but it was a blind spot that the hotel dinner was super expensive at the end of the year. There is nothing around you, so if you eat a dinner at a hotel, it would be safe to check the rates in advance.
The attached spa was comfortable with a foot massage while being surrounded by good views. In my case, I stayed with a massage free benefit for 30 minutes, but suddenly the hotel staff came to the room, handed a massage 25% discount ticket, confused with the free benefit, and confirmed at the front desk ( I knew it was a different thing after all)
Pros:Beautiful Hotel, Friendly Staff, GREAT breakfast.
Cons: The pools were too cold and the rooms doesn't have any plug in in the bathroom to hairdryer and it was very difficult to get ready in the mornings.
Amazing Hotel in Ubud!
The room was nice and clean.
The food was succulent, high quality ingredients, taste amazing.
The staffs was friendly.
The GM was really Helpful and friendly.
Definitely will come back here!
This prestigious hotel has received numerous awards for its architecture, design, customer service, etc. and above all for its spa. Among the awards is being considered the best spa in the world and in South-East Asia for several years.
The villas where we stay are charming and with details of the area.
Highly recommended and almost mandatory to have a massage and be in the round bathtub with flower petals observing the surroundings ... you will never forget it !!!
Excellent hotel immersed in nature. 2 nights. We were in house 401. Very close to the lobby. Although I believe that those further away have a driver calling reception. The only problem I put in the rooms is that they only have 2 plugs, one in the bathroom and the other disconnecting the coffee maker :(
Restaurant is beautiful, we only had buffet for breakfast, it was good.
Fabulous pool, although there is another one at the end of the resort next to the river.
Best place to enjoy any food with heavenly breeze and green surrounding (*_*)
The hotel was wonderful, the breakfast buffet varied, fresh and fine. There was a relaxed atmosphere at the pools. The massages were very high quality. The service was extremely loving, attentive and helpful.
Very Beautiful and staff are lovely. We are staying out of season and it's very serene.
Spoiler alert: I don't normally post but I had to report this one. The verdict? Epic stay. Super high value. The most awesome unique spa experiences I've ever had (been all over the world and this takes top honors). We stayed in the villa which was spacious, clean and well kept. Great food options. Definitely the most real/natural Bali experience you can get (comparing this mountain experience with the beach stay we had after Maya) and you're close to it all.
The caveat for us: we came during the rainy season where bugs come out at sundown like it's one of the 10 great plagues. BUT they go away after an hour so that's a good thing to know before you pack your flamethrower.
We stayed in one of the villas, and it was beautifully renovated. They also offer complementary morning yoga sessions every day and different complementary sessions on the afternoon. The staff is amazing. The location is about 10-15 Mins walk from central Ubud and there is a shuttle that goes every hour. I highly recommend this place.
Great place.... close to city centre and yet secluded in green surroundings
Unfortunately we could not travel to Bali this year ..... We look back fondly on our vacation in June 2019 at Maya during this extraordinary time and we look forward to seeing you again. Hang on .. Good Luck
A wonderful product in the area called Ubud located in the center of Bali away from the beaches and markets and tourist attractions in Bali semi-secluded location amid the forest area suitable for lovers of nature and distance from the noise benefit for two days or three Mu more forever As for honeymoon I recommend housing in a new area Nousa Dua is clean and luxurious, where the Bali Collection market is available. All needs Caffeinated restaurants Semi-professional massage Pharmacy Pharmacy Shopping Gifts and also Seminyak area Halwa in general Bali is all unique and unique in everything and the Arabs are few
Amazing hotel! You must visit! We stayed for 4 nights in a beautiful villa. Friendly staff, a great food and fab Spa.
Spent the first 4 days of our honeymoon at Maya. It was fantastic. Incredibly friendly staff. Lovely food. Very relaxing. Could not recommend it enough. It was so good that when we moved down to our next hotel at the beach we were instantly disapointed with the second hotel and surroundings despite them being really nice, they just didn't compare to the luxury of Maya.
Unique resort crafted in the jungle only a few minutes from Ubud centre. The "Deluxe Pool Villa" room is absolutely stunning, highly suggested.
The resort has 2 amazing infinity pools facing the jungle (the one near the spa is also facing a river). The food is good (they also have gluten free pizza available at River Cafe), while the staff is prepared and accomodating.
A must go if you're visiting Ubud!
Comfortable quiet place. The environment is beautiful green and cool
Fantastic service. Impeccable facilities and food. Beautiful lush, tropical setting. We cannot praise Maya Ubud enough and have returned several times.
The resort park is lovely. Spend whole days watching the nature that surrounds you enchanted. Very beautifull. Especially the part near the stream and the spa is a paradise.
Awesome hotel! Don t even think twice about staying here because it is worth every single penny. The staff are extremely attentive and sweet and they will look after you very well and make sure that you experience one of a kind holiday.
The river side Spa is wel worth the hefty price tag! Had a 2 hour full body massage and foot reflexology and really enjoyed it. Perfection to detail, beautiful location, lovely massage. If you can afford it, treat yourself to a massage here :)
I have no experience with the hotel. Way out of my budget. But you can enjoy the facilities when you book a Spa treatment. Bring your swimsuit and take a dive into the infinity pool near the river, order a fresh fruit juice at the terrace (quite affordable) have a long massage you'll love it.
Once you are inside this heaven, you never want to venture out anymore
Great hotel, super friendly staff and a unique location in the middle of the jungle of Ubud. Excellent breakfast buffet which left nothing to be desired. The dinner a la carte or buffet was excellent. Great was also the free shuttle service to Ubud and back every 2 hours. We will be back
Large-scale hotel with high history and reputation that is safe for foreigners and those not familiar with Bali, even with families. Many Japanese language support. You can easily enjoy Ubud style. However, food and hospitality will not meet Japanese standards. The price is disappointing.
A 15-minute walk from the hotel is the Super Delta Dewata, which offers everything. It is recommended to buy food and souvenirs here.
If you are accustomed to traveling, you should consider a hotel with more hospitality along the Ayung Valley.
Everything just beyond our expectations !!!
They made everything looks so natural
Nice place and comfortable. Suitable for Honeymoon there
Nice place and environment good service and friendly staff
maya ubud resort,
Remember that, I have a lot of experience here, from rafting that is far away, spa, to meeting successful people.
so much fun
Beautiful grounds, peaceful environment and friendly service. A real escape from the bustle of modern life.
modern hotel in ubud, food in restaurant is delicious, cool
@hobiholiday
This is,nice food in the Ubut, close to Maya resort.
Fantastic hotel. The villas with private pool can only be recommended.
From the staff to the breakfast to the restaurant everything was great.
To mention is the spa area with pool and restaurant located on the mountain stream, just awesome.
It was just great
The food was delicious the pools were great
Friendly professional staff. Special mention for the chap in the fitness centre, good advice about our next location for running and cycling. Hope his ideas for a safe outside jogging area/circuit near the resort work out, it would certainly be a nice addition. Spa pool area very restful and nature walk was fun to explore. We saw a fairly large monitor lizard.
Perfect!!!!!!!!! For sure in the top 5 hotels in Bali!!!!!
My Husband and I visited Maya Ubud Resort and Spa in May 2017. This stunning property (50 minutes from Bali) is HUGE and backs onto a rain forest with the spa overlooking a beautiful water fall - its so tranquil and soothing with the most breath taking views.
We only stayed for 2 nights, but I'd certainly recommend from 3 days up to a week in Ubud. I left feeling as though we should have stayed longer.
The food was very nice with a great range of options, the breakfast views are so amazing with the rain forest misty in the air in the mornings, so nice to wake up to.
The service was very good and they have a hotel shuttle bus that goes to the local village every 30 minutes or so, only taking 5 minutes to reach the main shops and very close proximity to the Rice Terraces and Monkey Forest.
I'd highly recommend this gem.
Best,
Mrs Tepe Travels.
