If you seek a quiet place to relax in a 5 star environment, that is your choice! Staff was very friendly and the garden Villa was the best hotel "room" we ever had. Fresh modern but still a traditional balistyle small Villa. The infinity pool is great. One day we come back.
Absolutely stunning, beautiful enormous grounds. Two amazing pools one looking over rainforest area. Food is terrific. Spa area is Heath pricey but they have specials. Highly recommend.
Once inside, it feels really to its strength and elegance. The staff is friendly
Private villas and an amazing garden, the food is good too.
This hotel is an absolute dream.
If you drive into the area and in front of the lobby is just WOW.
The rooms I find very nice with a large bed and the band nice spacious.
The garden completes the whole. Two cool pools are installed cool.
The staff: I have never courteous people walking around every day smiling around and you every wish from the lips seen.
Here are some other hotels in which I have been a slice off.
The food was also very good. Whether early or evening top.
I can recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Bali!
Best hotel in ubud. The location is not to far from the centre ubud. The hotel staff really helpful, and the food also exelent. The suites is very relaxing. Will be come back again here soon.
This is one of the best hotel i have been... very unique, fantastic infra, good service, quiet... highly recommended in Ubud
A dream oasis in the middle of the Jungle of Ubud ... very clean and well maintained ... very nice and attentive staff. Great facility .... we'll be back
They can brag about how great they are and I will fully support it. Maya Ubud is the definition of tranquility, you can call it a hidden gem too because it's not located in Ubud's town but once you go a little bit deeper you'll be mesmerized by how huge the hotel is. Love their customer service and my villa is wonderful!
Great hotel. Very nice, tropical and large area. Wellness area beautiful.
Stunning nature, beautiful villas, excellent treatment. World-class.
It was a great place! The rooms were really clean, the pool was really clean! Especially the massage is awesome
The price is good, but it's worth paying for it.
Discounts are also available for guests, so it is highly recommended! Awesome!
The hotel is wonderful, very quiet and relaxing, with beautiful lush grounds and pools. The gym is very nice - well equipped and has a cosy view.
The place is beautiful the river is beautiful and the air is cool ...
Beautifully situated in the middle of nature, this hotel is a place I want to return to. Due to its location on a steep slope, I would not recommend taking small children here. They are also banned from certain areas of the hotel. The rooms are very cozy. A few extra sockets would be useful - we had to take turns charging our phones. The spa is amazing and the food is great, too. Small improvements in service here and there would be required to make this a 5-star rating for me.
We only stayed 4 nights and arrived late on the first day. I wish we would have stayed for a week or even longer!
One of the best hotels in Bali! Maybe even the world!! Outstanding service!! Would recommend!
I have nothing bad to say about this please it was just amazing
Nice architecture, beautiful, comfortable friendly service
Dreamlike resort in the middle of the jungle
Worth 5stars hotel, staff very warm and helpful. Food delicious. Two very nice pool areas. Clean and very well-kept green area. Gym and golf course available.
Excellent hotel in the middle of the jungle and very close to Ubud. Very good service and breakfast buffet. The pool overlooks the river valley. We went with three young children and they had a great time. Rooms very good

Just stop by boss's room.
Entering the area which is obtained by the nuances of calm, beautiful.
We were delivered using a buggy car from the main lobby. Why do you use a buggy car? This is a very spacious location, we will climb stairs, go down a stone road to get to our room or facility.
It's really a vacation.
Each cottage is BEBAAASSS what do you want to do.
His room?
Once inside the cottage door we go up the steps. In front of the cottage there is a chaise lounge, which really makes lazy bebaringan while enjoying the sounds of nature, cool air, and green greens around us. LOVE IT !!
Entering the door of the room immediately called a wide bed mosquito net ..
It's been spoiled here, oh dear.
Then? Already like that, I was able to ask permission to see inside. The name is also the boss's room. Hmm ..
Feeling average, no match with AYANA Bulgari, but the hotel is another feeling in the jungle, the hotel is very close to the Ubud Palace.
Very nice and great facility, which is embedded in the "jungle" on a river. The service is very good, as is the food. While the spa is "above average", the overall facility is definitely convincing. Recovery factor: 100%. Note: There are hints on the internet that the way to Ubud can be done on foot. I would like to advise against this because of the lack of footpaths and the local "driving culture" - there is no reason for it: The hotel offers a free shuttle service (every hour there and back), a taxi costs between 50,000 and 80,000.-
Sensational Hotel in Ubud! Maya is surreal. Incredible rooms, wonderful structure and impeccable service! Stay in Maya!
Very nice comfortable houses, good selection at the buffet, very nicely decorated. The staff is very nice.
Best hotel which I ever stay in my life. Everything is just amazing over there. The food is very tasty. Breakfast is always fresh with good choice of items. View around is like from the dreams. The hotel is just like paradise. If you are going to Ubud you need to go there. Is worth every single penny.
The HISTORY of ..... MAYA UBUD Resort & Spa Hotel. FRIENDSHIP and good FLAVOR always endures in TIME Thank you marcel
Very friendly and nice
Every day there is a different activity and Tai Chi hasn't been rafting but morning yoga was great :)
I had a spa for two hours and it was great !! South Korea prices, not South Korea prices, but still satisfied!
I used both restaurant bars, but the price is nice. I had a double shot at the bar.
The pool is so pretty ~ It was hard to take a photo
A lovely Hotel situated on a hilltop reaching into the forest. There are very nice gardens around the hotel and a natural river flowing alongside it. the two infinity pools are very special. The service and food was excellent. Ubud town is only 10 minutes by car and the hotel offers a free shuttle service every two hours. We really enjoyed our stay here.
A wisdom in paradise, english garden at the ward of a tropical valley. Luxuous villas and exec Chef Geert to make sure your palate isn t forgotten in lushness
Very Nice Resort... Thank You Mr. & Mrs. Hakari
This is our second stay at Maya and wouldn't stay anywhere else on Bali. The last time we were here was in 2006 and on deciding to have a relaxing (do nothing) vacation this year,8 years later decided to come to Bali again - which meant staying at Maya Ubud!
The hotel is amazing. We are staying in a Deluxe Pool Villa, as we did last time and nothing has changed. Wonderfully maintained, great vibe, relaxing, totally private and feels like your the only one here. Better than staying at a private villa as you have all the wants from a private villa, however you also have the convenience and security of the amazing resort. In addition, great restaurants & food, beautiful pools & sunbathing areas as well as friendly service that you can't fault. Of course, the forest outlook and villa pool are great, so it you don't want to share your sun baking/swimming environment, you don't need to.
Ubud village also has great food to cater for any taste - the area has some internationally renowned restaurants.
I rate this resort a 10/10 and will definitely be returning in the future when Bali is on the radar. Not usually a big resort lover, but this one is certainly different due to the Villa. Personally I wouldn't stay in a hotel room as that's just boring - the Pool Villas on the hand - amazing. We also stayed a night at their Deluxe Duplex Villa which is much larger, but then decided to go back to the hut style pool villa, as we found it more cosy.
We have travelled the world many times and have always stayed in five-star hotels/boutique hotels in the biggest and smallest cities. We are fussy/perfectionist gay travelers, from professional backgrounds and take it from us - we know you will love your stay - we certainly are!

PS: the internationally awarded Maya Spa is also incredible, as are many of the local spas. We usually have some sort of treatment every day. Life is tough!! :)
The feeling of being in the great outdoors
The two pools have different charms, so you can swim without getting bored!
But, one star minus... I'm very cold, but I used to spy inside the hotel... I got a cold The advantage and disadvantage of being a spa in nature, and those with a lot of cold are recommended to use massage during the day. give!
It was so beautiful, felt like in a small paradise, service was attentive. Very convenient to stay here.
The best of my time spent in Bali was at Amaya cottages in Ubud...The owner/host was exceptional. Very accommodating and helpful...we loved everything about it.
Not sure if it is possible to go above levels that spa at Maya has set. An oasis hidden from bustling streets of Bali, this gem will make you relaxed as soon as you pass the main gate, while walking towards reception. Treatment (unfortunately) can t last forever, but you a welcomed to spend the rest of the day at their pool, allowing your body, and soul, to enjoy in after effects of your massage and the nature that surrounds you.
Villa with a very outdoor location and united with nature
Dear Maya Ubud Team,
We would like to leave you a great feedback.
We felt very comfortable with you!
You made our honeymoon an absolute dream vacation! Thank you for your great service and the excellent ambience!
Warm greetings from Germany

Short and sweet. An absolute pearl in the heart of Bali. Not only the resort is a dream. Even the incredibly friendly Balinese prepare unforgettable moments with their charm and service. We will be back...
Beautiful hotel. A little out of town but hire a scooter and all is well. There is also a shuttle bus for most of the day. Restaurant dinner was a let down but the rest of the place is great.
Fantastic!!!!
Quiet, varied food, unique facilities, ...., a ten! !!
Anyway, the view is amazing!
I received a massage at the spa, but I was very healed by the sounds of the birds and the flowing river!
We had a relaxing time with a bottle of beer in a cafe surrounded by lots of trees, rivers and birds! The price is a bit high, but it is recommended!
A beautiful hotel area. The staff read every wish from the eyes and are very courteous and helpful.
The breakfast is very rich and there is nothing I miss.
No words can explain how much I adore and love our stay in Maya Ubud. I booked a deluxe pool villa for two nights stay. It was magnificent. The property itself is tucked away from the buzzling central Ubud and the lush natural surrounding as well as the well-maintained gardens and pools makes the whole area relaxing.
On the moment we passed the security gates up to the reception are where we checked in, we were welcomed by some of the warmest and most kind staff.
Everyone was helpful and kind. And the breakfast buffet, which for me was the highlight, was stellar with sumptous selection of both western on one side and asian/indonesian buffet on the other.
Definitely the best hotel i've stayed in Bali so far. I'll always look forward for the time i could stay in Maya Ubud again in the near future :)
Love 3 stars first, never tried it
Hopefully it can give away
Lined with traditional Balinese-style cottages that come with private gardens and pools as well as a serene golf course, gym and ethereal riverside spa, this resort is an extension of Ubud s prime attractions such as the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, Goa Gajah Cave Temple and Tegallalang Rice Terrace.
Our cottage had a high, four-poster bed, a large LCD TV hidden within a multi-purpose unit, writing desk, wardrobe with self-sensing light and a luxurious bath-tub and entrance to the outdoor shower in the bathroom. Yes, we had a completely private outdoor shower adjoining the cottage pool, both of which were surrounded by thick, protective foliage. But the fixture we ended up using the most was the comfy, long settee outside the cottage, perfect for listening to the birds and bees and dozing the afternoon away.
The day we arrived, we kept up our exploration of Maya Ubud s infinity pools, walking trails and hidden sanctuaries well until darkness took over. We raced against time to make it across the wooden bridge over the robust Petanu River, close to the spa and the riverside restaurant. We felt like we were in a rainforest, surrounded by lush greenery and the soothing gush of the waterfall. Another favourite moment was when we climbed a large mound in the middle of the resort garden so we could be silhouetted against the setting sun. We also toured the prestigious Petanu Villa and observed red and orange fish swimming around in the L-shaped pond between the gym and golf course.
Our second day at Maya Ubud began with a rejuvenating couples Balinese full-body massage. We were given a choice of three different oils jasmine oil, ginger oil and a traditional Balinese flower oil with curative properties. We ve enjoyed several Balinese massages in India but to experience the real thing in Bali was a revelation. We wished we could learn to massage the soles of our feet the way the therapists did! This resort also offers a wonderful complimentary high-tea service
Very nice hotel. The rooms are very spacious with a balcony and a beautiful view. It is quiet and deep in nature. The pools are very nice and great for relaxing. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. Almost as if they could read the wishes in their eyes.
Maya Ubud is absolutely beautiful. it's quiet and tranquil. Great for families but still not many noisy kids running around more mature and young adults looking to have a quiet retreat. We had just came from Thailand so this was exactly what we needed. Surrounded by a lush forest, you can just sit back and listen to nature. they have 2 infinite pools. one over looking the Riverside. They staff are very friendly and accommodating. even after check out they have a departure lounge where you can relax until you catch your flight. Our flight was not until 10 pm. Overall this resort is more for a relaxing getaway rather then a bustling popular hangout like the Ayana in Jimbaron. but absolutely would come back.
A nice hotel with beautiful views of the village nuances
Traditional nuance villa that has views of the Ubud countryside and has luxurious facilities.
Amazing place ever.. calm, quiet, peaceful and natural. Five star resort and best spa in Bali. Recommended place to go to relaxing and recharging
Beautiful! Very nice and courteous staff! Very good food and a wonderful complex. Only recommended
Stayed 9 nights. Staff were friendly and efficient, with the daily morning Yoga a must.
The grounds are amazing and have marked pathway's around the resort. The buffet breakfast (western and asian) were great. The shuttle bus to town works well, we walked home one night - an experience in itself due to the narrow roads and traffic.
The resort has outdoor dinner and traditional Balanese dancers.
The only criticism is that the night time restaurant food was bland.
Would recommend and will return.
We have recently returned for a second stay. The food was better, but not good value. Better to go to town on the shuttle bus and get a 50,000rp taxi back. No outdoors dining or dancers this time - not peak season. Will return again to this fabulous resort.
Glorious visit at Maya Ubud. A safe, clean, beautiful vacation place like no other!
Super hotel built directly on the jungle. Great great rooms. Air-conditioned. Big bed. 2 balconies and terrace. Super friendly staff. All good English speaking. Food was great. Prices of food and drink as in Europe. 2 great pool area. Gym and tennis court.
Simply outstanding hospitality and comfort. Highly recommended
The best place to relax, and get out of the daily activities. The atmosphere is quiet, the service is also very good. Do not forget to try its bars, its staff is friendly and provide recommendations to you are confused about what to drink.
It's a lovely resort with amazing spa facilities. It's big and at a walkable distance from the city center. The swimming pools have amazing views. The highlight is the lunch picnic by the river side which has a surreal setting.
I have wonderfull time in maya ubud resort.. the place, staff and the food is great! Can't wait to stay there next time..
I only had a meeting there. The food was delicious (beef carbonade, carrot cake)
Nice resort, nice breakfast, landscape and swimming pool
A nice hidden place with many amenities. Real quiet and nice. Also a little bit high prices especially the massage @1.5 million.
Delighted with the service, the food and the hotel. Its two pools made it possible for you to choose between being closer to the lobby / restaurant or being at the end of the hotel, above the river, isolated and with a beautiful infinity pool. The spa massage service was very special and professional.
The half board menu was well chosen. Staff always ready. The hotel is well connected to the Ubud market and the center of it. A place to relax and pamper yourself.
To be recommended without reservation! Great facility, very good (and above all friendly) staff (always smiling and very accommodating). The free shuttle service every hour into the city or from the city to the hotel is great.
The food, both buffet and menu, is extremely good.
