Museum of the Dutch master painters. Spectacular of Vermeer The girl with the pearl earring!
Wonderful art museum (including the "Girl with the Pearl Earring"), great location on the water. Worth seeing!
Busy, not so big museum. Worth a visit. You need 1 hour if you are in a hurry or two /two and a half hours to appreciate the works of art. Lots of shops and restaurants around for a coffee after the visit.
Always beautiful, more beautiful, most beautiful ...
Excellent. Not too big so you can easily see everything in a few hours.
Beautiful Museum, customer friendly beautiful collection Paintings, highly recommended
Amazing museum and I liked a lot the application you can download for free on your phone that you can use to find out more about the pictures you see.
And a beautifully situated museum, easily accessible, WITH bus, tram, train, impressive paintings by Rembrandt - and others. Recommended, unfortunately too late for the exhibition by Nicolaas Maes (was already ready).
it's the best.
If you come early, you can enjoy the masterpiece slowly.
Great painting collection from the Netherlands Golden years. Try to find Democritus before he finds yoy
Just perfect. Small but full of paintings. It won't take you forever to visit this musseum.
What a beautiful place to be in, surrounded by the works of the masters. Vermeer's The Girl with the Pearl Earring and Rembrandt's The Anatomy Lesson are a few of the highlights of this place.
Very interesting , the app for listening to the pictures description is free and very handy
Beautiful paintings adorn this quaint, yet historical museum
Even more beautiful after the renovation.
Must see in The Hague.
Relatively small but interesting museum. Quite a few Rembrandt and Rubens pieces. Vermeer too with The Girl With The Pearl Earring, and so is the lesser-known Jan Steen.
Audioguide freely available through the app.
See the Rembrandts and other Dutch Masters up close.
Mauritshuis? Don't miss out on the extra Rembrandt exhibition.
Here is a collection of counts, from the exterior to the interior
Full of solemn and noble atmosphere
There are also girls wearing pearl earrings.
Beautiful exhibitions about Rembrandt. I think we were the only Dutchmen . Delicious coffee with hazelnut pastry!
The Mauritshuis is truly a top museum, with a beautiful collection of Dutch masters. At the moment (February 2018) there is the Jan Steen exhibition, also definitely worth it.
When do I know it's a great museum? It's when I managed to drag my husband - he's a happy camper throughout the tour and doesn't want to run for the exit door at every corner! He even listen to the talking tour which I downloaded free on the Mh app. A great afternoon indeed
Beautiful museum, great collection of works by the old masters!
Anatomy lessen, Girl with the earring, museum at the entry of disney spectaculous castle, say aaah.
I come here regularly with very small children (0-6 years) both the staff and the security is very friendly to the children and me.
Even though the children do something that is not allowed, are crossed over by a painting or are sitting on the curtains, everyone remains neat and patient and is asked in a friendly manner whether we want to pay attention to whether everything is done according to the rules.
The Maurits Mouse book makes it super fun for the children to walk through the museum.
The staff has a lot of knowledge of their paintings. Nice because we are so present to hear how each member of staff talks about the paintings in their own way. The students are treated with great patience and respect and are challenged to show interest in the paintings. Really fun!
A fantastic permanent collection in a stunning building, plus the recent expansion under the street and into another property is quite something too.
Museum full of famous paintings, not only Vermeer. Den Hage is worth going to, not just Amsterdam!
Easily accessible, 3 minutes to walk from the parking garage. Very clean and tidy. The staff seem to speak all languages and are very helpful. The entrance fee, like all attractions, is very high. 16 is simply too expensive for a small museum. It is a cultural asset that must be made accessible to everyone. It conveys knowledge and art and should be affordable for everyone. You can donate the clothes and bring along for free. The house itself is beautiful. The pictures are incredibly beautiful. All old artists from the 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th centuries are represented. The Maurritiushaus should be on everyone's list when they visit The Hague. Its worth it.
The museum contains collections of the Dutch royal house, and artwork by Johannes Vermeer, Rembrandt van Rijn, Jan Steen, Paul Potter, Frans Hales, the young Hans Holbein, and others
The museum was built in the 17th century, for a nobleman named Mauritz, and designed by the painter Jacob Van Kampen. The structure and collection were transferred to the Dutch government in the early 19th century. The site is one of a hundred heritage sites in the Netherlands.
What a wonderful permanent collection! Beautiful works of many famous artists hang here. The app is great too. I couldn't get enough and will definitely go back one or more times. The children's program is also well organized. I'm definitely going to bring my grandchildren. The demonstration of the restoration was very educational. It was a great pleasure to listen to her and get an explanation. In short, fantastic!
Insanely amazing place tonspend a couple of hours. If you admire paintings then you are in for a treat
Fantastic collection! A "Must Go" for every Jan Vermeer Fan!
Educational, beautiful, cozy and delicious food, fun concept food and art!
Beautifully beautiful museum. Nice atmosphere and unique paintings. Recommended!
Lovely small museum & one of the bests of The Hague ! Major work of arts to see !
I am not really an art lover, but I still have fun with all the well-known and lesser-known paintings.
Beautiful pieces. It is worth to see it. I really recommend to visit it. Is big enough to see different things and be able to see everything after 2-3 hours.
The museum is perfect, there are very few architectural barriers, excellent bathroom service, app that describes the paintings and free WI-FI !!
Nice exhibition about Rembrandt overall very good, however as you expect really crowded.
Very good WiFi connection so you get the app
from the Mauritshuis and
you get the earphones on loan (ask at the desk)
Once you have done that you will be
guided by the museum using the app.
Very worth seeing presentation of old Dutch masters in a worthy setting
Completely renovated since June 2014 and now twice as large. Lots of art from the golden age in a setting that does justice to the period. Don't miss Vermeer's Girl with the Pearl Earring and Rembrandt's Anatomy lesson.
Nice museum. Beautiful collection of paintings, beautiful building, good lighting.
You can appreciate Vermeer's "Girl with Pearl Earrings". Also you can appreciate Rembrandt's works.
It is a small art museum, but it can be appreciated slowly without crowding, so it is a highly recommended art museum.
For adults 15.5 euros, baggage will be deposited with you.
A little bit pricey but a good-looking museum with famous Dutch paintings of the Golden Age and Rembrandt well-known works.
A gem of a museum where you can see the painting which was the subject of Donna Tartt's novel, The Goldfinch.
Great and not too big museum with many great pictures of old masters and mostly a current exhibition. Because of Corona, you have to order online tickets beforehand.
Wonderful building with an amazing selection of paintings by dutch artists. You can find more than simply Vermeer's Girl with the Pearl Earring!
Not a very large museum but with very interesting works, with "The Young Woman with the Pearl" being the star painting.
Very attentive staff, we had not checked in in advance and they warned us when there was a cancellation.
What an old fashion Beauty. The pride of Den Haag. Well Maintained. Sparking clean. The arrangements of the artworks are noticeable. The building with its rich history is ideal for the exhibition of these art masters work. The highlight for me was Vermeer's, The girl with the pearl earring .
Free wifi
Location 20 minutes from station. Walking distance.
Beautiful building, nice varied collection, friendly and helpful staff.
Worth visiting to see the impressive and famous painting by Rembrandt The Anatomy Lesson. It was painted in 1632. It is an oil painting on canvas, measuring 169.5 centimeters high and 216.5 centimeters wide.
It's a university class, where students pay attention to the teacher's goings-on with a corpse.
It became essential for any University, which aspired to be competitive in the study of medicine
Beautiful museum with a lot of interesting works ...
A wonder and a guided tour by audio guide very effective!
With fun informative treasure hunt for children. An absolute must-see in The Hague.
It has many famous paintings from Rubens and Rembrandt displayed quite nicely. Moreover, the building itself really adds to the atmosphere.
Vermeer, Rembrandt, the Puttertje. You could say a wonderfully compact introduction to painting from this region. From 4 centuries ago then.
Pearl jewelery A place where I came to visit because of the girl. The museum is moderately small, well managed and guided, and the app is great so you do not have to borrow and rent an audio guide. If you do not have time, you can save time by looking at the highlights in the app. Pearl Jewelery Girl Black Shopping Cart It is the best gift.
Beautiful surroundings, amazing paintings with Dutch and Flemish influences. Loved it, would go back
beautiful.
beautiful from the outside and to walk there, even more beautiful inside with a beautiful collection.
A very peaceful museum with some very beautiful classical paintings.
