Mauritshuis is and remains a magnificent museum. Today there was for the sub exhibition of the Dutch Masters from English country houses. Of course I also did the 'standard round'.

A great collection that every art lover should see.
Very nice little museum. Magnificent collection of Flemish paintings.
If you like old art this is a must! Beautiful and famous paintings by old masters. There is also a temporary exhibition.
The girl with the pearl earring. It also has the most amazing hidden lifts for prams and wheelchairs. Great place to nip in and enjoy. Kids have a seperate display of Rembrandt from time to time.
We have done a short tour. Was a nice tour, good companion. Nice museum. The time that was again was much too short, go back again!
Very cool museum with brilliant pictures of Rembrandt and Vermeer including famous Girl with a pearl!
Absolutely not to be missed are some of the most famous paintings by Rembrandt and Vermeer
Nice paintings, friendly staff. Not very large, good to combine with other museums or places of interest in the area.
The principal or principal for the Mauritshuis was Count Johan Maurits of Nassau-Siegen, then Governor-General of Dutch-Brazil. [4] This city palace was built between 1633 and 1644 by Jacob van Campen and Pieter Post in a Dutch-classical style. The Mauritshuis should not be confused with the Mauritsoren, located on the west side of the Binnenhof, which is named after Stadholder Maurits van Oranje.
The square building stands on a high base. The facade of the building has a cornice supported by Ionic columns with the well-known curl in the capital. The swiveled roof and the use of brick is typically Dutch. Because the central part with natural stone protrudes slightly (a so-called risalite), the building looks like a Roman temple. This architectural style has often been used by followers of Renaissance ideals.
From 1685 the Mauritshuis was a Hotel of State: high guests of the States General of the Netherlands were accommodated there. In 1704 the Mauritshuis was badly damaged by fire. A lottery was organized to finance the rebuilding. The rebuilding was completed in 1720. On the ground floor you can still recognize something of the glory of the golden banquet hall.
An easy train ride from Amsterdam and an incredible collection of work.
It was great! Do you watch only works entering the eye I saw an hour. If you watch slowly, 2 hours will be enough.
The regular price is 15.5 euros, with an international student card discounted to 12.5 euros. Audio guides are out of money am free app to listen to approximately 3.5 euros apps do not listen to the audio guide.
The pearl earring girl was good too, but Rembrandt's anatomy lessons, grandmother and boy in front of her, were so good.
Personally, it was better than the Rijksmuseum. Be compared with the Van Gogh Museum Van Gogh hajimanyo great, better: D
Excellent museum with good access to famous artworks, including Rembrandt and Vermeer.
Beautiful exhibits and audio guides can be downloaded online
Beautiful museum with many interesting paintings by famous painters. The girl with the pearl is not to be missed!
Beautiful paintings by famous painters, with showpieces. The Mauritshuis makes me relaxed. It is great for people who love art and stories. Friendly staff.
Must have actually visited every Dutchman.
This is our culture history.
People from all over the world come here to view the Girl with the Pearl earrings.
Lovely museum and stunning artwork. Not too much or overwhelming.
There are few people anyway. Vermeer When I saw it in Japan, I was hated by many people, but when I went there was no one in front of a "blue turban woman". You can also speak to the staff and you can watch gently with a really gentle feeling.
Little museum (1h to see all the paints) with a nice collection of old Dutch paints, counting the famous J. Vermeer, the young lady with the pearl hearing. Also the ticket included a visit of an other gallery, 5 min by walking from there.
+ Full collection of big names from a wide time span.
+ - You can download a handy app where you can find more information about the paintings. The information could be more extensive.
+ The building itself is also very beautiful and well maintained.
+ Friendly staff.
+ - Attached to the reception hall is a nice looking restaurant, which unfortunately is much too pricey (a soup starts at 7 euros)
Nice museum with famous paintings. Worth the effort.
It was a pleasant visit to this museum where paintings by predominantly Dutch authors, who lived in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, are exhibited.
Maruitshuis is sitting in the heart of Den Haag. Jan Steen exhibition shows very few precious paintings from the world. You may find only only few excellent artist who did two very similar paintings only different points. You shall come and find out how they present the effect of light in these paintings....
A fundamental museum to understand the jewels of Dutch painting.
The Mauritshuis is a very nice museum, although it is not exactly cheap with 15 / adult. Even me as museum muffle liked it.
But it is for anyone who wants to visit several museums advised to get a Museums Card. The museums in The Hague and Amsterdam are already making a big impact.
A great gallery. The Vermeers are not to be missed. It's a smaller and more relaxed place as galleries go. You will feel like you're alone in the room with the girl with the Pearl earring.
One of the most beautiful spots in Den Haag where a tourist can not stop
#mauritshuis
Must go museum for Dutch painters' lovers. Some of the most famous paintings for Vermeer, Rembrandt and Jan Steen. Definitely recommended for anyone in Den Haag.
Beautiful museum. Unfortunately the caretakers allow dumb visitors to take pics with flashlights, which might ruin the paintings.
Beautiful building with stately allure next to the courtyard. Very nice collection and the new Rembrandts in the collections are definitely worth it. With your entrance ticket you also have access to the William V gallery on the other side of the courtyard. Definitely recommended with a large number of impressive paintings (and a lot less crowded than the much visited Mauritshuis).
Amazing and very comfortable place to visit masterpieces of Rembrandt and Vermeer. Student admission price is 11 euros. Free luggage lockers. Cafeteria and so.
Would have given 5 stars for the paintings, but the incessant appearance of the security personnel is a nuisance, a disturbance to the museum goers, who are trying to understand the meaning being conveyed by the artists thru their materials. Felt like because I'm brown, I'm being followed like I would steal the paintings. Experienced that only in this museum, not in Escher's and definitely not in Van Gogh's.
Astonishing collection! Hollanders in huis is also a must visit exhibition. Free tour guide app is available on smart phone (WIFI is free in museum).
Not only is the art beautiful, but the building itself is breathtaking. Definitely recommended for people who love paintings but also architecture!
A fantastic collection of paintings from the Dutch Golden age (and some Flamish paintings too). It's easy to find the way in the museum. I highly recommend to download their app which serves as a guide and audio guide at the same time. Earphones can be borrowed from the museum. We arrived to the Mauritshuis at 10.00 am, opening and awoided the crowd.
You can t leave The Hague without visiting the Mauritshuis to see the Girl with a Pearl Earring by the Dutch Golden Age painter Johannes Vermeer. Beautiful collection.
Very nice museum, which deserves a visit. Many paintings of already deceased world famous painters. The price was 14 euros per adult and the entrance for children under 19 years is free. Right next to the museum is the Binnenhof, which is well worth a visit.
Beautifully redone with priceless Dutch masterpieces. Calm, serene, spectacular environment in which to experience Vermeer, Rembrandt, Rubens and others.
Very nice building, beautiful collection that does not take up too much time, highly recommended!
Museum with mostly 17th century art. Among others with Vermeer and Rembrandt. Close to the Buildings. With modern underground access.
The Girl with a Pearl Earring by Vermeer is superb. The most beautiful painting I've ever seen. Just great to see it in the flesh. That Vermeer was quite good!
I went to the Netherlands twice on my 3 day trip to the Netherlands. It was longer than Panorama Mesdag.
Small museum but an authentic concentration of masterpieces of the Dutch golden age. Rembrandt, Vermeer, Rubens and many others. DON'T LOSE ABSOLUTELY. You will not get bored ... "Value for money"
Just enough to work for an afternoon of fun. Only sometimes clumsy lighting!
Super nice and beautiful museum.
Smart and well-arranged.
Funny that you can go inside to the brasserie and a separate exhibition space.
The Girl with the Pearl Earrings by Vermeer is enough to give it five stars. It's idyillic location in de Haag, another.
Wonderful museum. Not too large but good early Dutch collection.
Not big but nice, a girl with a pearl earring and several paintings of Rembrandt are exposed here, amazing art.
Impressive building. Nice walk around the building. I liked it a lot.
The girl with pearl earrings is here if she is not borrowed. In the souvenir shop, a hundred pearl earring girls stare at you together, intensively afraid...
Very nice museum and people are very friendly there
A beautiful museum with a collection that is easy to handle in a visit ...
Highly recommended. Top art from hundreds of years ago.
A museum absolutely visited if you are visiting The Hague
Museum unavoidable.
To know: Nocturne Thursday until 20h
Beautiful museum. You get to know Johan van Oldenbarnevelt as if he were family of you. My grandson also enjoyed it.
Great place.... and great thing is that they allow you to take pictures.
A fantastic little museum with only top works by Rembrandt, Vermeer, Frans Hals etc etc. Not to be missed when visiting the Netherlands
