Great craft cocktails, some thoughtfully prepared food choices and good ambiance. This will likely be a regular stop on any local foodie's rotation.

Actually bottomless mimosas. Food was amazing. Will be back.

Our third time to Masters was awesome. After my last review where I mentioned they would not accept my Living Social deal, Ryan Jubela (the owner) contacted me personally and invited us back.

Our visit was nothing short of spectacular. Ryan provided us a bevy of treats, from champagne & appetizers to desserts.

Highlights:
* Kale Caesar - $10. Simple but addicting. Don't think just get it.
* Gnocchi - wow. Just wow.
* Mussels - $14. I order mussels just about everywhere I go. This was the first time I could not finish them all. Congrats.
* Signature Candy Bar - Small, but rich enough for 4 people.
* We met the owner and the chef who all stopped by our table to chat.
* Old Fashioned - $10. Russels Reserve 10 year bourbon. So good.

I appreciate the extra effort to celebrate our friend's birthday and it truly made for a memorable night. I hope to come back for many more. Thanks Ryan & Masters.

Bones in the duck confit Mac and cheese. Mussels with too little sauce. Meh.

I've always had a good experience at Masters. The food has been good, and the service was good too. I do enjoy going there.

Place was half empty and it still took 20 minutes for someone to take our order. Food was OK

Terrific meal, excellent cocktails. The Albacore Tuna was perfectly prepared as was the skirt steak and risotto. The creme brulee was unusual, strong citrus background, might avoid if you are a strict traditionalist. Noise level medium high.

We are here right now, love this place, the food is great, the people who who work here are awesome. Amanda was our waitress she is wonderful. Whenever we are in Oceanside we always come here. You will not be disappointed eating here, come and try the food you will love it. This is a picture of our meal tonight loved it. We are finishing with a cheesecake and coffee.

Stopped by Oceanside as I had not been here for some time. My wife and I wanted a good lunch and went into Mary's. we were not disappointed. The service was good and hot and very tasty. Seen the fried chicken come out afterwards and wished I would have ordered this. Nonetheless, food was good and prices reasonable.

I was here with my wife and we had the best experience service wise,food,and drinks! The catch of the day was outstanding can't wait to be back! Amazing place!

This place is beautiful. The inside is super nice. Good place for a brunch date or etc. We spent about 3hrs here on Sunday and were easily 6 feet apart from others. Staff was good to go. Food was good. You def come here for the atmosphere

Great atmosphere. We had the truffle fries, veggie sandwich, street tacos and clams. Fries were mediocre, everything else was tasty. Good service.

We met a friend in the evening and had drinks and appetizers that were tasty and filling. We returned in the morning and my husband ordered the Steak Benedict and I ordered the Breakfast Sandwich. They were out of the sandwich (weird, because it is just regular breakfast ingredients fashhioned as a sandwich) so I ordered a Master's Breakfast--eggs, bacon, toast. While my husband's breakfast was fine, though the steak was chunky and unwieldy, my breakfast was cold. The waitress apologized, took it away, and promised a fresh breakfast ASAP. What I got was the same plate that had been put under the salmander to heat up (my bite marks still in the toast) but was only very slightly warmer. I notified the waitress when she asked but ate it because I was hungry. The manager immediately came by and apologized and took it off the bill, which earned them big points. I may give them another chance but another strike and I am out.

Service was great. Food was decent but not memorable. The ambiance of the restaurant is pretty cool.

I love this place for the best drink specials and quality drinks for happy hour.... also serving the appetizers half off which is a killer deal for the quality of a 4 star restaurant... great service and vibe with couches to lounge on... people if you never been here believe me it's worth every penny for this area

I ordered the master burger; the meat was tastey but the bun was dry! Ruined my burger! Also, I shared their hummus appatizer (I forgot the name) and the bread was good looking but oiled a little too much and it was not neatly cut. . . My girlfriend had the grilled cheese and let me tell you it looked pathetic. . The cheese was not even melted so you can see the two slices they used; lousy grilled cheese.
All in all they do a good job with presentation but the food can be lousy. . .work on your quality control and consistency as the prices are too high for such pitfalls. Great ambiance though!

Beet burger was fantastic! Would have been perfect if there was a gluten free bun. Super nice staff and the chef was friendly and knowledgeable.

I've only been here for brunch but I want to come back for dinner. Always have had a great experience here.

I loved Masters the very first time I came here. Just airy and comfortable instantly. The drinks menu was fantastic. I had my first watermelon salad ever and loved it. It was not too loud either despite the high ceilings as you'd think it would be. I will be coming back for more as often as I can.

Decent cocktails, great food and good ambience.

I love the high quality salads that are served here. They are very vibrant with tasty and delicious ingredients. Everything here is from scratch and with the chefs and staff continuously coming out with new menu items . Like the steaks, crab cakes and Brunch menu items. Their burgers are Fresh and I like the having one with an egg, bacon, avocado and fresh sliced red jalapenos. (Delicious)

Came with the Fam. Loved every minute... Great customer service and cool views of Coast Highway and the surrounding areas... Food is awesomely prepared and tastes delicious. Beer and cocktails are also super delicious and fresh.

My fiance and I have gone every Monday the last 3 weeks after we discovered this place! Their food is fantastic (best truffle fries around ) and the bartenders mix a fabulous cocktail..the Master and Mule along with the Luau Daquiri....highly recommend!!! And on Monday it's all day happy hour... check it out..you won't be disappointed!!!

Really bland food. They try to flavor it with lots of rosemary and parcely and it just doesn't work. Really not worth the high prices. Also, lots of flies attack your food. Not fun.

Food was pretty good and the main restaurant seemed like it had a good atmosphere. A larger outdoor patio area would be cool, as well as a larger meeting/party room. With big 8-person round tables, it can get quite crowded and hard to maneuver in there.

Great place for tapas - good portioned tapas too. Excellent cocktail menu as well! Love this gem.

Brought a group of Ladies here for a work function and everything was wonderful! We went on a Monday when there is all day happy hour, and mostly ordered off that menu- Great Food and Drink Specials!

Tacos were awesome, good appetizers, all the drinks were good (nothing crazy amazing- but solid). Best part was definitely the truffle fries! Wasn't too crowded, really cozy seating and awesome service. Would def. come back.

Really disappointed with our visit to Masters during the Taste of Oceanside. Of all the restaurants they had the worst food by far. They had a small watermelon and tomato mix with tiny bits of feta. Not only was it the cheapest tasting and looking sample we were served on the tour, but they kept us all separated from the main restaurant in the front entrance. When a restaurant decides that style is more important than substance, they have lost their way. With so many other great local restaurants to choose from that have better food, service and style, I see no reason to ever go back!
In response to the Owner's comment all I have to say is that I am so glad that all the other 33 restaurants that participated in the Taste of Oceanside understood this was an opportunity to show what you are about to people that have never tried you before. None of the other restaurants went "simple and cheap" and it was not the right thing to do... it was just the cheap thing to do. You probably pay more for a single ad then you did the cheap food you served. Not only was this a disservice to Main Street Oceanside, but to everyone that came to your restaurant. At least 3 other restaurants served such great samples that we cannot wait to bring friends and family to try their full menus. You could have recouped your investment by making the effort to impress, like so many other did... but I guess simple and cheap is just all you are about. Very sad!

Great small plates and shareable plates. Wonderful atmosphere and music. Outdoor area warm and inviting.

Excellent food and service, great special events place BUT parking is NON existent.

The place has gotten even better, super nice service (after 8 on Friday), the kitchen was closing though, a new menu with vegan dishes.

The wait time was extremely long, and there were only about 10 active tables at the time. Waited an hour for food after ordering, and then once finished waited another half hour to receive our check. Otherwise the food was great.

Came here for Christmas Eve and bad a great time. Food was excellent and the staff was wild in a good way. Tis the season for fun and I had it here!

New menu new employees got cold chicken sent it back got warn chicken raw in the middle on a good note excellent service also got another cold veggie burger plate.sent that back and got s new hot one I'll try somewhere else next time

Great service and environment but my steak wasn't prepared how I ordered it.

Finally checked this place out. Dang! The natural light, high ceilings, plants, wood decor, kitchen window, and covered patio blew me away. The staff was cheerful and fun and I was smiled at and spoken to be everyone I encountered. Even got a joke from the manager. ;D I had the duck confit mac n cheese and side of bacon. Both were excellent and perfectly prepared. Football game on the screen and adorbs staff made my visit perfs. Recommended for date night, families, solo mish, or casual meals. Awesomeness

Attentive servers, good food and presentation. Most of the craft appear to be on the sweet side. When we made this observation to the bartender he quickly made a suggestion to amend one of the drinks on the menu and proceeded to craft a perfectly tart cocktail.

Service was a bit slow but the food and brunch drinks were awesome. On the left is vegetarian chilequilles and mimosa and the right is naughty burger and truffle fries with an Irish coffee. Truffle fries were the best.

We had a great dinner last night. Our server, Jess, was fantastic. She made recommendations, which proved wonderful. The pasta dish was our favorite.

The service at Master's is always great and the food is fantastic. I've ordered the Chorizo Mussels more times than I should.

The chicken melt sandwich is bomb!! And I suggest trying the chocolate mousse dessert.

Food and drinks were very good and prices very competitive. It looks like they are working through startup issues on service, however.

Who ever thought of putting root beer in barbecue sauce is a genius!!! Water melon and heirloom tomato salad is fabulous!!!

Live music Fridays, nice open air dining area with a sort of enclosed true patio. Great food with a decent variety as well. I will be returning.

Love the atmosphere and decor in Masters ! Great wine selection and the burger and truffle fries were delicious. My only complaint would be we went at 2 on a Saturday and there were very few items to choose from for the lunch part of day since they serve brunch and kitchen closes until it reopens for dinner . They have many great items on normal menu and I would have love to try.

Went for brunch and was thoroughly impressed. Food was great, steak and eggs is a must have! Good drink menu and bottomless mimosas are a solid choice but I recommend trying their cocktails, they have a great liquor selection!

Was Best bar in town, had such amazing service. Some of the greatest bartenders in the country. Not sure what happened this winter and the other night. Brussel sprouts recipe changed, spicy now, not as good. Bartenders changed, used phone as flashlight to find the right bottles, was making service tickets not tending bar. Bar was dirty with rings all over it. I sat for 15 minutes no menu no service. I left. This was not the Masters I went weekly all Summer of 2018.

The food presentation was excellent. The service was however very slow. It took us forever to get drinks and food. The food seemed a little bland so I would not recommend ordering food here for taste. I recommend going to the taco stand next door.

Good but not big enough portions. They've also gotten rid of their vodka collins and their buffalo wings. It's a pretty restaurant and they have good wings but they should update their menu. I recommend their wings and ribs. Want great food, prices, and portions? Go to local tap house that's almost next door

Meat In the burgers is almost an inch thick and it s delicious! Majestic experience as well
