Definitely worth a visit when in Atlanta since it is a part of American history! What s great about it is that it is free, but make sure you come early to tour MLK Jr s birth house as tickets sell out! Each tour group only accommodates 15 people. You could also pay your respects to Dr King and his wife as their tombs are located there as well.

The visitors center has excellent exhibits about Martin Luther King Jr. And the civil rights movement, but the real highlight is the birthplace of Martin Luther King, Jr., Which provides a real feel for the environment which molded the great man.

Good is that you can easily get there by the street car/tram. Attention: it is not included in the breeze ticket. Now: Is it politically incorrect to give not 5 stars to this monument of American history? But the presentation is a little outdated. Even it has never before been more actual and necessary to heal the wounded soul of this great nation. But it seems the words of Dr. Martin Luther King seem to be unheard and the setting will not attire more or younger visitors. For me: A wonderful from the roses to the wall. I wish I had had more time.

The history here is rises from the ground up and permeates the very air you breathe while you are there. From the Ebenezer Baptist church to the eternal flame at tomb of Martin Luther King Jr. and his wife Coretta Scott King. It has to be seen by all to know how much America struggled to have a united soul, moreover the work that still needs to be done.

**Just be mindful, there are people pretending to work for the historic site, the have knowledge of the site down pat. However, when they're done with their schtick then they ask for money, they will get bitter when you don't give them money. Those who work there have national park uniforms**

So much to see and do, I can't describe it all! I felt as though I walked through and touched a huge part of history.

Take the time to go to Atlanta, GA and visit this awe-inspiring place! I know that you will find it is a part of our history that is truly indelible.

Plenty to see and do at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Historical Park. A little known fact is that the park (inclusive of the King Center) us one of (if not the) the only places that captures the place of birth, life, and death in one site (his birth home and entombed body are at the site). The Park is rich with history and picturesque natural and man made features that make it a must see in Atlanta.

It felt so humbling visiting MLK's birth place, where he grew up until he was 12. The King Center is a great testimony for the magnificent role Coretta King played in honoring her husband and preserving his Legacy. The King Center, where MLK and Coretta King are laid to rest is the Mecca for the Oppressed, a must-visit to salute the memory of some of the world's Greatest (MLK, Coretta, and, through them, all the Civil Rights activists alive today and those, such as Elhaj Malik El Shabazz or Malcolm X, who have given their lives for the nobe, selfless, and transcendental cause of Freedom and Dignity for the Oppressed in America, in Africa, and all over the word).

This was a really interesting and informational place to visit. You get to see how he lived his life and can explore his home, church and surrounding areas of his boyhood. Well worth a visit, but make sure you register for a tour of the house.

It's great that this historical place is free to visit and park. Everyone should come here at least once. Information about Dr King's life and work is displayed in a respectful manner and rangers are always available to answer questions

Experiencing history and sharing with my boys our history. Hearing Dr. MLK. Jr preaching in the church on the speaker was a great reminder that he's a minister of the Good News of Jesus, first.

Awesome place to visit! I learned so much about King's birth place. You can't take pictures of the inside though. It is a lot of walking so be prepared for that. I wanted to do more but my parents and I didn't have time. Definitely recommend doing this if you're visiting Atlanta for the first time!

What an amazing preservation of history, and all for free! We could not go inside MLK Jrs home, but we were able to participate in a guided tour of the community. The added stories of neighbors, the fire station, and church, made it much easier to imagine the time and place. The museum and memorial was beautifully designed. Make sure you walk around the entire community.
