Wonderful, wonderful, and wonderful. I could feel l the present of the past. Very powerful. Young people, especially young men, need to study their history so that they can gain a sense of pride. Simply wonderful. Thank you King family for your sacrifice.

This was a bitter sweet experience because u remember like it was yesterday. All that he has preached and how we are so divided now. He would truly be upset. We need to learn to stick together and be united as we stand.

I really enjoyed going to this museum which includes Martin Luther King Jr.' s birth site/childhood home, his church, his burial site, and a museum on civil rights. I liked that there was an emphasis on the role his wife played in his life and in the Civil Rights Movement. That role is often forgotten in other museums, but there she is given credit for what she has done.

I HAD to visit. I was BLOWN away with everything I was able to see and experience. The spirit that overcame me was surreal. Being able to see and to FEEL these monuments was something that only YOU should experience. I HAVE to go back when time permits as I was on a tour with limited time. I cried tears of understanding and pain and being connected.

A smaller national historic site, the MLK house is worth a brief visit, but there's really not much to see. Budget an hour at the most to see the house. For some, just coming by to snap a picture may even be enough.

Definitely read and use the information given under Plan Your Visit on the nps.gov/malu website. Especially if you're driving to the park and or will need to park your vehicle, once you arrive...
Because using any of the street addresses may take you to the wrong location depending on the online map service, your phone or GPS unit.
If the latter, then use the given GPS coordinates in your unit for best results...

And NOTE: That the entrance to the visitor parking lot is located on John Wesley Dobbs Avenue.

Once you arrive at the parking lot it's a short walk across Irwin Street and then down the Promenade to the Visitor Center. (See attached)

BTW, they have a great Junior Ranger booklet, but it seems to need some updating or someone needs to reorder the "patch" that it states you will earn upon completion.

Wow what an amazing visit it was my third time but the first time where there was no crowds. Perfect day. If you can plan this offseason it's a fantastic visit. And a bargain because most of the attractions are no cost.

The entire Martin Luther King Areal is very well located, also the district itself is worth seeing. Unfortunately, the opening hours in the afternoon are a bit short, so you should not plan a visit too late.

I love the rose garden...the quotes of the children in the garden just grabs my heart....AMAZING!!!
The site gives you a nice interactive review of history... A sense of peace among everyone while you explore and review history...I also find it interesting to see the different emotions on the faces of the people visiting the site...

It's a very nice space, but the visitor center is very difficult to follow. There's lots of information, but the way it is presented makes absolutely no sense. Theres no order to it. There are six little mini rooms with a video and seemingly unrelated information around the walls. We still enjoyed it and reccomend it, it could just use an update.

Loved it

It's always interesting to learn about the beginnings of great people. I saw Martin Luther King, Jr. as a child on the tour of the house where he was born and lived as a child. Excellent tour guide.

What has been known by Martin L. King is known, in this place his life in the community is revealed starting from his finonal parents in his tragic death. The neighborhood where he was born and grew up is evocative.

Great experience. Loads of things to see as history goes. I love the famous walk of fame with people who made a difference by them leaving a shoe print, and near by has great places to eat.

The King center is such an awesome place for visitors and residents. It is educational and inspiring! There are so many different people who come to the center for various reasons and they all get what they came for.

Learned so much from being here as well as the kids. It was like I was there during that time. All the displays were presently perfectly and I would love to go back. Glad we had a chance to see a part of history.
