This place represents Atlanta proudly, history rests here and its displayed elegantly. There's a uncontrollable feeling of influence and a vibe you get while exploring the grounds. A real raw sense of history of one of the most influential activist that ever spoke up. Would recommend visiting to anyone any day of the week.

No one can go to Atlanta and stop going to the Martin Luther King Center. If half of those who go to Outlets visited, the world would be more supportive and less unequal.
Such an important monument, give yourself at least 3 hours to explore the monument.out you want to see his birth home get the free tickets early, they only give a limited number each day.
A wonderful dedication to MLK and his accomplishments. I only had time to see part of the walk through of his life and the state of American at that time but it was illuminating and very interesting. If I'd had more time I would have stopped in at the adjacent church as well.
This was amazing. My family enjoyed this visit. Everyone was friendly and I learned so much from reading the different articles on the displays. The elevator was beneficial for my mother in law. The gift center could have a wider variety of items to purchase.
Very good introduction to his life throughout a visitors center (don't miss the movie) and a collection of buildings including his church, birth home, and final resting place.
awesome national park commemorating Dr. King. there are lots of museums and sculptures relating to the civil rights movement here in addition to MLK's birthplace and his fathers church, Ebeneezer Baptist.
I wish I could bring my students here but I teach in Oregon. I took a lot of photos to bring the material into the classroom to get students talking and learning.
I highly, highly recommend going here with a family and kids, or even friends. I went alone and there is so much to learn and appreciate here. I love learning about civil rights history and there s lots of pictures and artifacts if younger kids don t want to read. They offer guided tours (15 people per tour) of Dr. Kings house every day, which starts at 9 or 10am and it s first come first serve so I recommend coming as early as possible. I came at 3 pm and all the tours were already booked up for the day. The tours are free but there s a souvenir shop in the house next to Dr. King s which you can buy many civil rights books, even cook books, water bottles, post cards, etc at. Such an amazing experience for tourists and Atlanta natives. I encourage everyone to go at least once!
I highly recommend going to the MLK, Jr National Park. There is so much history here, it s amazing! To see videos of Mr King and hear him speak and see all the amazing things he did for our Country is truely humbling and inspiring. I hope I am stationed close by so I can bring my son here when he is old enough to understand how far our Country has come, and the struggle it took to get here. And how much work it still needs.
This is a very profound and heart touching place to visit. The Historic Compound is a group of Historical Site not far from one another. You can do this on your own by simply following a map. For example, you can visit the house where this great man was born in. It was built in 1895. From there you can visit the Ebenezer Baptist Church. It is only a block away. Not far is the King Center for Non Violence. Ms. Coretta King started the Center after her husband was assassinated. There is also the visitor center and the Gandhi Promenade. All of these historical venues are full of facts, photographs and historical information. And each site requires time and effort. Do not rush and truly pace yourself. I spent about five hours and felt satisfied with all that I saw. Do not forget to visit the Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King tomb in the Sweet Auburn district. Walk the Freedom Hall and mediate how much freedom cost. I admired this man and it was an honor to visit these places. They are a part of a History that should not be ignored travel and let History tell you truth and share.
At first I was supposed to go with my fellow girl scouts but I couldn't find them so since my brother drove me we went through together even though I didn't see the other girl scouts I'm glad I got bond with my brother so I recommend you going it's so wonderful experience and it brings people together
Breathe Taking Experience! From the Civil Rights Documentary in the Theater Room to the Mannequins walking towards Freedom...This Museum exceeded my expectations! I believe every person of all ages should visit. The visuals are amazing, the Staff Rangers were friendly and informative. The entire street the Museum is located on, is just full of Great History and it's all FREE which is awesome. (Tour MLK Jr's Church called Ebenezer, Visit his Home on the same street in walking distance, Visit the 'New' Ebenezer Church across from the old one, Visit MLK Jr's Tomb outdoors all for free) It truly reminds you to continue to Spread Love and Peace!
