It's never a great thing when your AC fails, but Ben was excellent in diagnosing and fixing the issues he found. Given the advanced age of our units, he gave us several options that allowed us to make an informed decision which we feel comfortable with today. He was thorough, shared photographs of each problem, was pleasant in demeanor and was able to explain everything in layman's terms so that we could understand. If I could give 6 stars, I would! We lost our AC in the middle of a heat wave with two small children here at home. I called three other companies before calling Marshall and they all said it would be at least two days before they could get to me. Because of COVID my family had no where to go so I called Marshall and the dispatcher was so helpful from the jump. Ben from Marshall arrived at our house less than 2 hours after I called and was so very helpful, courteous and very knowledgeable with 14 years of experience in HVAC. He finished the job at 10PM and refused to leave until our house was cooled down! He didn t try to up sell me but rather did what had to be done to ensure my family and I were comfortable. He earned a lifetime customer and I ll never call anyone else ever again. Thank you Ben and Thank you Marshall!
BIG RIP OFF!!!Signed up for the stars program to have a tune up on central air that never had an issue. After they came out the Ac immediately stopped working. They did nothing to fix it back to the way it was. Was told I had to replace the whole unit which would cost a couple thousand dollars. My children suffer from asthma and allergies which they really needed the Ac to work. Marshal home comforts just did not care.

Steve worked efficiently and got my furnace running again by bleeding the air out of the oil line. He also tightened the cartridge of my kitchen sink's hot water faucet which was slightly loose from much use. I was glad Marshall's sent Steve and scheduled this service for the day after I called.
Insanely expensive services. Was just out to look at our hot water tank. Quoted close to 700 hundred dollars to fix the part or 1800 for a new one. My husband found the part for 30 dollars somewhere else and having some else fix. Total rip off.
Our family has been a Marshall Services customer for longer than I can remember: I m sure it s been twenty years and probably longer. All their folks are very friendly and professional, from the office staff who always answer calls to the technicians who come out for maintenance or repairs. Oil delivery when needed is always very prompt, often within a day of calling. When we needed an emergency heater-related fix a couple years ago someone was at our home within an hour of the call and got the issue resolved. Thanks!

Ben was efficient and knowledgeable. I am very pleased with the contract that I purchased for heating and air conditioning. I received my heater cleaning this past winter and just had my air conditioning system serviced. It is quite old and I was given a recommendation by Ben to purchase a part to keep it running to the best of it's ability. This is the best priced dual plan that can be purchased in the Phoenixville area. They also offer a summer plan to pre-purchase heating oil at a lower rate. Great office staff, and oil truck drivers! I needed oil, and Erin sent Brock right over to deliver the oil. While he was here, he met my peacock that was interested in him, and the oil truck. He just went with it, and wasn t bothered. I even took a picture of them both by the oil truck together. If I could post the picture i would.
The reason I called Marshall Services is we have used them in the past without issues. Pro was very quick turn around. Technician was out same day I called. Con - I was informed I needed a new Water Condensate pump for our furnace. I was presented with 4 different replacement options ranging from $452 to $900 dollars. I initially agreed to the minimum price and then just happened to google the part. The cost for the replacement part at Home Depot was $54.00. I asked the tech if he was sure the pricing was correct based on what I found and I asked for a price breakdown for the part and the labor. I was informed that this is a job rate and they could not break the pricing down. I informed the tech that I did not want the work done. I went to Home Depot purchased the part and installed it myself in less then ten minutes. I am appalled at the price quote and if I did not happen to google the part they would have made a fortune off of me. Last time I call Marshall.
We had an issue 2 years ago when we first bought the house... no one responded when i had a plumbing issue, However... they have redeemed themselves... we had an issue with our baseboard heat not working upstairs and they promptly came out to fix it. A little miffed that I didnt get a detailed invoice (breakdown of parts, labor, etc) but all in all good work. Update on 10.30.2017Well they really tank this time for 2 service calls they called me and cancel the morning of to tell me that technicians were 2nd they had other emergencies I need to have my furnace service while needles to say the service wasn't taken care of very very very upset wanna charge me $8000 for a new furnace don't think so
Steve was great! My tenant called and said the garbage disposal was not working. Steve went out and found the problem... a screw in the unit! He had a new garbage disposal in his truck which he was able to immediately install. Steve communicated with me throughout the whole process and now everyone is happy. Thanks for the great service!
We had a water supply line fail last night on our second story bathroom which caused water to come through the kitchen ceiling and light fixtures. We called Marshall and they answered right away and got us right on the schedule for first thing the following morning. James called us before he came out and and arrived shortly after. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and very clean! He did a great job replacing the broken pipe and fitting. We will definitely be using Marshall again in the future! Great job guys
I had an emergency with my plumbing on of coarse, the weekend. I found Marshall online and called to see if they would come out. They answered immediately and had Pete came and resolve my issue. We were very pleased with Marshall services. We first contacted them to clean our tankless water heater, the technician was prompt and called 20 minutes before arriving. Upon inspection it was obvious we needed a new tankless water heater. They set it up right then and there and came a few days later to replace the old one. We would highly recommend Marshall services!
Ben was out today to tune up our heater / boiler and was extremely pleasant to work with. He diagnosed our needs and went over all the options we should consider and was not in the least bit pushy. I am looking forward to a long time relationship with Marshall Services.
I contacted them for their "triple play" (tune-up heater, A/C & water heater). I have two systems with A/C & heater and a split system, they told me I needed three "triple plays". I didn't agree, but paid anyway.
When the guy showed up, he checked voltages and looked at things. He did not adjust, clean or "tune-up" a thing. When outside looking at the A/C units, he told me it was too cold to check it and he would have to charge me more to come back. (I told him I would discuss that with the main office.) After done, he sat in his truck, smoked a cigarette, and came back with a handwritten list of what he thought needed to be done with prices. There was no explanation of why and nowhere to go to get more information. He insisted he could not leave the list, but I did take a picture.
I contacted the main office through email and phone. They said they would send someone out to check the A/C but had no explanation of the handwritten list. We scheduled a return visit. They called the wrong day to come out. I told them when it was scheduled a different day. We rescheduled again. My appointment was between 9 & 11. The office called at 10:30 stating he was on his way. At 11:45 he called and said he was 15 minutes away. I told him not to bother because I had to be somewhere else by 1 and they had lost all credibility with me. The main office called to reschedule, but (by this time) I don't trust them to come back to my home.
I recommend you avoid them as well to not have the same experience.
9/26/18 Update. Google sent me this review that it has been reviewed by 510 people and wanted to know if I wanted to see it. I looked at it and would like to comment on the response of the vendor 4 months ago. I NEVER HEARD FROM ANYONE to make this right. My initial review stands and I (even more firmly) feel this is a vendor to avoid!

We hired Marshall Services to install a new shower for us. They came on Monday June 29 2020 & Tuesday June 30. Apparently an item for the shower was the wrong size. I understand that there was a delay due to Covid 19 in delivery of the shower wall that had to be reordered. Whilst the completion of our project has taken significantly longer than we anticipated I would commend all of the employees who worked in our house. Today our shower has been completed & it looks very satisfactory.

Unfortunately I was given a 12-3 window so I took a half day at work. 3:20 still no call no show, called the office and they told me they'd ask the plumber to get in touch. 3:45 I called the office back and they told me they had a miscommunication about my appointment time (which I had repeated back to the operator for confirmation when I made the appointment specifically to avoid.) They still had no ETA for the plumber so I cancelled.
Steve was the professional who came and evaluated our situation as well as provide an array of solutions ranging from quick fixes to permanent solutions. Steve was polite and thorough in his approach and represented the company well. The proposal we accepted was one that was competitive with others but high quality with a long warranty. Marshall wants to be the go to company for all your needs and want your trust. I m happy to say they earned it and I d be happy to recommend them to others for any work that needs to be done. We woke up in the morning to the awful smell of petroleum and quickly discovered a leaking oil tank in our basement. We called our previous oil company (who we did have an annual contract with) only to hear them say that it would take days to have someone replace the tank and it would be hours before he could come to the house to inspect the situation. We called Marshall's who came to our property within twenty minutes. They pumped the oil from the busted tank and had a new tank at our property the next day! They were very professional and extremely customer focused by the quick response to a very dangerous situation!
Multiple issues with this company, very late for the estimate, called multiple times, and then after coming over to measure it has been 3 weeks and never heard back from them with a price for the repairs. Not sure why anyone would use them. Unfortunately I would not recommend using them based on my experiences although others seem to have had a good one. Make your own decision
They did a great job. I liked the fact that they called before coming to confirm someone was going to be home, also liked that they put plastic booties before walking in my house (I have a no shoes in the house policy). Definitely would recommend their services.

We have been using Marshalls services for many years (plumbing, heating, air conditioning) and have had good results. We just used their electric service done by Greg. They did several things and completed them in good time and well. Greg was pleasant and efficient. He came in, explained what he was going to do and proceeded to Do the job. He worked quickly, neatly and efficiently. We were very pleased with his work and his friendliness. In fact all of the people they send to work for us are The same. They seem to always hire nice people.

Marshall services is the BEST, bar non. I had them come out to correct a botched central air install that was put in by some hack that my Home warranty company assigned. The did a flawless job their technicians are super courteous and knowledgeable and made a stressful situation significantly less stressful. They were first to come to mind when our furnace needed some work and again, painless, and at a great value. I called Erin (who is excellent) today because I noticed they do Emergency Home oil delivery and our tank was low. Normally I go through a different company, but when I placed the call for delivery they said they won t be in my area until Monday (4 days away). The woman at the other company then suggested I zip on down to the gas station and grab 20 gallons of diesel and throw it in the tank. Not the solution I was looking for. Marshall services to the rescue! Not only did Erin get me hooked up with same day oil, but their rates are totally reasonable and she was a pleasure to speak with. No one likes paying for, or dealing with these kind of issues, but they are as inevitable as the sunrise, so for my money and my families comfort, we choose Marshall services every time!
We have used Marshall Services for our heating, but this time was the first time we used them for plumbing. Just as with the heating, their personel was polite and helpful. They fixed the botch job we had from another company and this time it was done right! We definitely be using Marshalls again for other services besides our heating.
I use Marshall Home Comfort for their heating oil. This summer my central air stopped working (on the hottest day of the summer of course) and I called them for emergency service. The on call tech was at my house within an hour and a half and worked until after 10pm at night to restore service. He was great! I am definitely hapy to be a Marshall Customer.
On December 24th I discovered that my sump pump died and the basemen was flooding... Nobody in the area was ready to help... except Marshall. John came to my house after 4 PM and did a superb job! I would highly recommend this service. Again - thank you, John!

A few days after the initial fix of my unit we had another problem with the unit unrelated to the initial problem. Unfortunately this issue happened to be on the weekend which would normally have been an emergency call out. Marshall has been excellent in terms of service. Their office staff are always friendly and helpful. The technicians we've met have all been great, hard-working guys. When we have an emergency they are always quick to respond. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is their pricing for both oil & systems, which are higher than others in the market. But you get what you pay for, and I will stick with Marshall because I know they will take good care of me.

Hot water heater was leaking and no hot water in the house. Called Marshall Services and they came that morning. They called 1/2 hour before coming to house. Service man introduced himself, was friendly, and wore booties before coming into the house. He explained the problem with the water heater to me and offered multiple options to replace water heater at different cost stages. I picked an option and the work was done quickly the same day. I was very happy with the experience and would recommend Marshall Services to all.

Update 10/1/19: In response to your 10/1 post below, I was in a jam and had to get it done. It was 100% my fault and I m ok with signing off on the work, however, when another plumbing service says the job would ve cost $100, then yes, I got screwed. How do I know that? I hired the other plumbing service to fix my outdoor faucet, which they charged me $200 for, meanwhile, Marshall quoted me at $500! Common, you actually insulted me with that generic response.
Update 7/27/20: Faucet leaking again in bathtub. Marshall s work lasted a whole 9 months. Use them at your own risk (which I don t recommend)
