Renting a property with Marsh & Parsons has been m...

Renting a property with Marsh & Parsons has been my worst experience I had with a lettings office.

We were renting a 3 bedroom furnished flat in Fulham. Upon arrival, 1 of the 3 beds in the property was dismantled and thus, unusable. We made numerous complaints to the property manager for fixing it and even after two weeks in our tenancy they still hadn't provided a solution. I finally assembled it myself using my own tools and buying any missing pieces, screws etc, since I literally had no place to sleep.

Additionally the house was painted one day before our arrival and all the windows and doors were shut. As a result, there was a strong odor of paint for more than a week in our tenancy.

From that point on whatever interaction we had with the agent (change of the fire alarm, change already broken window glass, pest control appointments), would take at least a couple of weeks to resolve. It also felt as they were deliberately opting for the cheapest option available, with no regard for the end result.

At the end of the tenancy the property manager and landlord claimed 2200 pounds of our deposit for redecoration costs and damages! Thanks to TDS however, and not thanks to M&P, we got 90% of that money back.

It's not clear to me how much of this falls on the landlord but certainly the communication from the property manager should have been better, especially as to what amount is fair / makes sense to claim.

What I do know for certain is that I will not be renting again with Marsh & Parsons.

Very professional, comprehensive and attentive to each clients circumstances. Highly recommend to everyone and would not rent from any other agents in London, with whom I have many bad experiences contrary to this one. The office I've been dealing with is Baker Street.

We have been working with Marsh & Parsons for over 7 years and they have consistently delivered excellence to our corporate clients. Most recently Zoe has been incredibly pro-active and often goes above and beyond. This review is really a thank you to them and long may our relationship continue.

HCR have worked with Marsh and Parsons for over 20 years and have found the staff in the company, in general, to be professional and easy to deal with. We have an excellent relationship with the Corporate Services Department and they have often "gone the extra mile" to help and advise when required. Some of our Consultants deal with Central London offices for our Government client and the staff in those offices have assisted us enormously, resulting in a healthy number of property conversions.
HCR look forward to a continued relationship.

Megan Reaburn at the head office property management team is an asset to Marsh and Parsons, I have been particularly impressed by Megans speedy responses and constant updates, Megan don't ever leave!

My local branch were brilliant. Sadly the head office were not so helpful. After moving out early and being told we'd get our deposit back early, we're still waiting for it. The landlord has been unresponsive but it was left up to my More

I left Marsh and Parsons two years ago (July 2016) finding that after one month as an employee, the company did not work for me.

After an agreement with the company in writing that the outstanding car charges will be removed, I receive an email today 2 Years later to request the money and threaten me that they will send to the debt collectors.

They claim they are better than everyone else and give staff benefits but then try to rinse you of money which you do not owe them.

They are probably rubbing their hands together when they receive someone s resignation.

Disgraceful.

Absolutely disgusting service by the property team. Been waiting over 2 months for my deposit. Deduction claimed are ridiculous, will be seeking legal action against them. Unauthoired visits by thier representatives causing distress to my children. Been corresponding with Usman Chand whoi now is claiming we owe them another days rent even though they gave us the keys late when we moved in. WORST COMPANY. will be reporting them to relevant authorities

First, the Estate Agent told us we could move in early to our flat. When she checked with the tenants, that wasn't the case. When we lived the flat, they were very responsive to all complaints with the upstairs neighbors, whom at one point we caught pissing out the upstairs window into our garden. Upon moving out though - nightmare. Getting our deposit back has been horrible. They've claimed some accounting error and they can't refund our deposit without taking out that money. I've provided them proof that we paid the amount, and they are still asking for proof. It is the most ridiculous thing. I've asked for a supervisor several times and the guy I'm dealing with refused. Finally got ahold of a supervisor, and she is equally as terrible. Belittled us that the amount is so small we should just pay. They are basically bullying us for money that we don't even owe, and are refusing to accept the proof when we present it. They are horrible.

Dishonest no integrity. I have a file open against them with the property ombudsman for making illegal deductions from our deposit (billing us for a professional clean after new tenants had started occupying the property). Avoid dealing with Marsh & Parsons at all costs

I don't usually write reviews but the Property Management is possibly the worst I've ever come across. Our contact was Jamie Fairholm. I wish I had read the reviews below as they clearly have prior form. It's now been nearly 2 months and we More
