Friendly astomsphere. The staff is great. Washington is just very friendly.
Friendly astomsphere. The staff is great. Washington is just very friendly.
Really nice stay, very clean and convenient. Mr. Lalwani, the Director of Hotel Operations went above and beyond. Highly recommend!
Close to metro red line. Can walk to the monuments. Shipping mall and restaurants within a block or two
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Room was clean. We loved the central location. The only recommendation for improvement would be to add a hot tub. There is a small pool and large work out room available. The room service and concierge level were also a plus.
Most everything walking distance and metro access on corner. Check in easy, quick and they even have us our room several hours early. Prices were reasonable and the room did the trick. Beds were smaller than I'm used to, and would've paid more for 2 queen size beds if given the option. Pool was ok and warm, gym was adequate but with all the walking only used it for rolling out my sore muscles. All in all good for a short visit.
The hotel was, for the most part, clean and really nice. The biggest downfall was the parking and the pool. The pool was old and dirty. The parking was atrocious. You either pay 50 bucks a day for the hotel to valet park your car. Or you pay the near parking garage for your stay. I stayed from a Friday to Sunday and paid 40 bucks total. Better than the hotel but still not was what I wanted.
I've stayed here many times over the years when traveling for work and it's always a clean and comfortable place to stay. The only drawback I found is that it can be noisy at times.
Location: In the heart of Washington DC. Walking distance to many interesting places
Room: Spacious rooms with a large bathroom. Very good staff. Big TV.
Wifi: free WiFi is not that speedy. Difficult to do video chatting. But you can upgrade by paying $16 per day
Food: Great restaurant but expensive. But there are plenty of places to eat outside.
Cost: Not the cheapest one to stay. For my room $295 per night.
Decent place. Kinda expensive but hey that's DC. Friendly staff. Good restaurant, but again kinda expensive.
Great service, excellent food, convenient location.
Disappointing for the price we paid. Smaller rooms than cheaper hotels, parking cost was more than any other hotel. Pool was relatively cool for being an indoor pool, coffee in room was behind the times. Cheaper hotels use Keurigs, they do not. However, staff at door was fantastic helping with cheaper parking and with our bags as we were juggling a 4 year old too.
The staff are very professional. Rooms are clean and neat. The cleaning service comes about the same time daily. The room did get a little too warm about 3 am every night during our stay but that was the only issue. Will stay there again. The area feels safe and is convenient
Great location. Metro right outside, walkable to almost everything. Rooms are quiet and staff is friendly. I took one star off due to small club lounge. Once it gets upgraded to the new M club it will be perfect!
The only thing i liked was the location , the stuff might be friendly but not helpful much , if you don't mind to pay for smiles instead of service then book it .
keep in mind it is pricey and make sure you read the fine print with all the hidden extra fees so you won't be surprised
Two starts from me
Location ,and smiles .
Internet and wifi suck and super expensive but otherwise really nice.
Perfect location. Next door to Metro and walking distance to many DC destinations.
I didn't stay there, but I did eat there. There is no restroom in the restaurant and you need a code to go down the hall and through Starbucks. The food wasn't very good. I wouldn't recommend it.
Convenient location in city and is very nice with access to good restaurant on the inside and to a Starbucks
Friendly staff. Clean fresh. Comfy firm yet soft beds. Swimming pool room kept at 80 degrees has sunshine thru ceiling windows. Temp of water ok..pool is 3.5 ft to 4 ft deep. The Subway Station Metro Center was at end of block. Serviced by red, blue, silver, and orange lines. Easy walk to China Town. Subway to Eastern market or to the wharf. Blue line to Reagan Airport.
Nice and clean with friendly staff. Expensive wifi.
Easy to find, valet parking. Close to the mall and capital. Nice restaurant inside and a nice coffee shop right down the street of your don't really like starbuck like me. The room was clean and well kept, bed were nice.
Wonderful service from wonderful people. Clean, quiet, and comfortable. Very convenient to the metro and National Mall.
- Convenient location to the subway station~ just below. You can also take the airport shuttle to the subway station
Walkable to museums/ tourist locations. No grocery store close by
- City size hotel room
- During the day food trucks(4) line up outside of the hotel. And there are different ones every day. Habebe food truck made a salad that was soo good! <<I recommend
- Negative: there are no microwaves in hotel room or in hotel
I didn t visit the lounge / food area within the hotel and can t comment on the service.
Overall I would recommend this hotel b/c of the location.
Fire & Sage at the Marriott is awesome! What a tasty treat! Each entree we had was scrumptious. The old Bay fries are out of this world. The cocktails are a little pricey but compatible to other DC bars. The bartender had a heavy pour so I got my money's worth. The best part of the meal was dessert. Bananas foster ice cream Sammies... Mind blown. The cronut bread pudding and the cobbler were great too. Whether a guest, local or out of Towner this place is must go
Excellent hotel in a nice, central Metro location that was not too far of a walk to places such as the White House or the Mall/Smithsonian museums. The pool is smallish/indoors and no hot tub - other than that it was great! Plus a Starbucks is in the lobby.
Staff was outstanding! Concierge lounge was top notch albeit slightly crowded at peak times.
One of my favorite hotels in DC. Great restaurant and the hotel itself is just steps away from the metro.
Helpful staff... Looks out for people not familiar with the area! Got me where I needed to be, and I was super grateful!
Understand there's no parking and there's nowhere in the building they have microwaves. Which I truly find hard to believe.
Nothing is included in this hotel-they nickle and dime you to death despite charging top dollar for rooms. They charge for wifi-WIFI! It's almost 2018 folks. Stay at the hampton instead. The breakfast isn't anything to write home about but it's free.
Nice friendly staff. Rooms are outdated, small and need some updating.
We used one of the gathering rooms for a luncheon. The room was nice and the food was good.
I didn't like my room when I checked in. I immediately thought, "Oh geeze, now I have to argue with front desk staff about why I don't like my room." But when I called the front desk, I was immediately granted another one - no attitude at all, just warm friendly accommodations! (That never happens.) Dining and valet experiences were awesome as well. I'll stay here again next time for sure!
Nice hotel, good restaurant in the lobby, Netflix and YouTube on the TV's in the room, good but not great shower. Very prime location , walking distance to the white house. Bit longer walking distance to the Washington monument.
Not a bug fan of the main Marriott brand hotels. Always seem dated, far behind any of the other Marriott brands.
Hotel is conveniently located next to the metro center so getting around the city was beyond easy. The hotel staff were always friendly and accommodating. Rooms had comfy beds, TV's were of the smart variety, offering Netflix and youtube. The restaurant offered decent food at somewhat high prices. Overall one of the nicest hotel stays I've had.
Staff is exceptional. Great property... Less than 1 block from Metro Center stop. #Starbucks in the lobby OMG Best service of any Starbucks EVER!!!
Good place to grab a cofee, work and eat before/after a meeting in dowtown
Nice hotel, convenient to public transportation and to conference center. The restaurant in the hotel is reasonable for lunch and dinner. The Starbucks is directly on the side exit and in the winter season, cold wind come easily in making it not a good place for breakfast. Rooms have a good size and they are generally quiet.
The hotel was wonderful! The staff, like all Marriott team members, were helpful and friendly. My room was perfectly clean with a large bathroom and plenty of storage space.
Great place with clean vibes. Conference wrny really well!
It's a normal Marriott. Building seems a little older and could use an update. Beds are not that comfortable, mine seem like they are stuff on the edges and as if there is a joke in the middle (not actually, just seems like it as you sink into it).
One star for standardized room to stay in, one star for location. Hotel is old, staff are indifferent. It feels like the staff hate working here. Being an elite member here means nothing but being able to do late check out. Had a way way better experience with Marriott Marquis.
The room was a little worn down, but it was clean and met my basic needs for comfort and cleanliness. Staff and amenities were great.
Great location down town. Very close to a metro station. Rooms were nice and clean. Beds very comfortable. Pricing was reasonable compared to other hotels.
I stayed at this hotel on business for 4 days and it was an amazing experience. The Room was pristine, the food in the hotel restaurant Fire and Sage was delicious, and the customer service was superior! Whoever's doing the hiring here has got it nailed down. I would definitely come back again!
Downtown location, close to everything, room is clean and service is ok
Very convenient location. Nice room. Friendly staff.
Starbucks in the lobby was great and very fast. Infused water at checkin was better than most places I've had it. Rooms are updated, but not the newest. The showered water pressure is ok, I've had worse, but I've also had a lot better. There is a smart TV in the room, Netflix and Hulu compatible.
Service and staff are outstanding and the bartender at Fire And Sage in the lobby are excellent. Eric the concierge is outstanding and get can you connected to anything DC. Rooms are updated with mobile key ability. Absolutely excellent location with all exciting things within a 5 minute walk
Old and dirty! The rooms smell musty and like wet carpet. Might shift management is awful and unprofessional! Recommend steering clear and finding somewhere cleaner and more professional to stay!
No free wifi. And the 16.95 dollars advanced high speed wifi is fcuking bullshiit. It doesn't work well
This is the perfect place to stay in Washington DC! We took the Metro from Ronald Reagan Airport to Metro Center station and it was a very easy walk out of the Metro and into the hotel. The entire hotel staff was super friendly and was always making sure we had everything we needed. Super convenient! Will definitely stay here again!
Great hotel! Conveniently located to metro center stop. Rooms and service were awesome. Will stay again.
Very friendly staff. Decent rooms in size and amenities. Fast and easy to access internet. Starbucks in lobby.
Great location close to the metro. The rooms could use an update, but not bad overall
Clean room, comfortably beds and shower. Very nice staff and pleasant atmosphere.
Very good , near everything important and with a Metro Station just beside.
This hotel is lovely. They also recognized it was my wife's birthday and left her a bottle of wine in the room so thoughtful!!
The service is prompt and friendly. Conference rooms are well equipped and the catering is very good.
Everything is good only you have to pay parking fee
