Good location, heart of downtown D.C. Rooms were very clean, and the staff we really friendly. Right next to the metro center station for access to pretty much anywhere in the city. Walking distance from the Capital One Arena, and the Walter convention center.

The hotel staff, from the bellmen to the receptionists, the restaurant staff to the housekeepers were always welcoming, friendly and respectul. The overall service is stellar and the location makes the hotel close to everything. If i would travel again to D.C., I will definitely stay there again!

The room was large and comfortable with coffee making facilities and a fridge. All the staff I had contact with were friendly and the hotel was very conveniently located to the metro which was great for exploring the city.

My experience was terrible. The customer service is lacking. The serving staff act as if they are doing you a favor. My room was not satisfactory never the less good. The sink ead plugged with hair and the shower head was for someone maybe 4ft tall. When I askef for another room I was told that nothing was avsilable right now but when one came up they would call me. That was at 8am. At 3p I was told that the rooms I did see available was for other guest coming. Really cause I am here and your guest now. I was eventually given a room. When I was handed the key to the new I was told I only have 15 mins to get my stuff out of the old room. No ask if they could assist. No offer at all. I ordered room service and it never showed at the time I requested. I called and was told they missec me. When it did come it was cold. So at this time i callec to complain ans speak to the Manager. I was told that the Manager was busy with another guest. I relayed my story to the gentelman on the phone. He assured me the Manager would call me back. Well that never happened. Save your hard earned money for another hotel that will care about you.

Fairly typical 3 star type hotel. It has a small lobby with Starbucks, bar, and restaurant. Rooms are like every average 3 star hotel you've seen. Nice, but nothing to knock your socks off. Would repeat if needing a place to sleep and grab and coffee.

My first visit to DC and therefore my first visit to this hotel.

Dropped off by Uber and received grant reception. I was directed to Danielle. What a pleasant experience. She made me feel special, important and welcome.

I joint their loyalty program and received multiple extras that included free WiFi and free breakfast and water and access to the lounge that offered free happy hour snacks.

Did not originally plan to come back but now I want my better half to experience the same.

Thank you Danielle. Thank you Marriott for hiring her and the rest of your team.

I stayed here for a night, and it was quite comfortable. When I arrived, there were a lot of people in line at the front desk, so I had to wait for a bit. The person helping me was super friendly though and I got my room quickly. The room was comfortable and had all the amenities. The shower pressure was amazing, and the bed was comfortable. I enjoyed my stay here! It's also very conveniently located as Metro Center is on the same block, and a lot of lines pass through that station. It's great, would recommend!

Beautiful hotel, excellent service. The room was very clean and modern but slightly noisy due to street sounds. With the high price for the room, why do they continue to charge $13 for internet service? That should have gone away years ago along with the coin boxes to run televisions in the 1950s.

I STAYED HERE THE WEEKEND OF OCTOBER 4. THE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY. MY ONLY CONCERN WAS THE WEIGHT ROOM. IT SEEMS AS IF WITH ALL THE EQUIPMENT THAT THEY HAVE TO WORK OUT WITH, THEY WOULD SHOW SOME CARE TO THEIR MACHINES. THEY HAVENT BEEN OILED IN MONTHS! THEY'RE RUSTING, BUT OTHER THAT, THEY HAD COLD WATER AND APPLES FOR AFTER YOUR WORKOUT. IT WAS NICE. I WASNT USE TO HAVING TO PAY $14 A DAY FOR INTERNET (WHICH I DIDNT), BUT THE STAY WAS VERY PLEASANT AND CLEAN AND STAFF WAS ATTENTIVE.

Washington Marriott was absolutely an incredible experience. This hotel lies in the heart of right where you need to be in Washingoton, D.C.! I attened the grand opening of the National Museum for African-American of History and Culture, and the employees of their fine establishment engaged me in much conversation about the city, it's history, the night life and, most importantly, where I was headed. I will most certainly be residing here again when I return to the capital.

Typical Marriott. Clean, modern, smallish bath, comfortable mattress, etc. AND expensive as hell WiFi. What gains you, Marriott, by continuing to charge for an amenity that other top tier hoteliers provide free?

Change this ridiculous and outdated policy!

My review takes in consideration it is a Marriott....

My review takes in consideration it is a Marriott. So, the analysis is based on others hotels of the same brand and category. Nice staff, easy check in. Rooms are ok, a bit on the small size. Overall, the hotel seems to be waiting for a renovation. Nice gym in terms of size, unfortunately with some equipments in need for lube. What is not so nice is that the pool access is through the gym and the floor is usually wet and the pool door (hot and humid area) is hardly closed by the families accessing that area.
I stayed here as a gold elite member, expecting to use the concierge lounge only to find out they close the lounge during weekends. Very disappointing. The free breakfast is also not so free... You can't pick eggs or pancakes from the buffet (just a continental breakfast) or you have to pay an additional fee.
The location is great but there are many other options close to this area worth checking too.

Great hotel, clean, love the Starbucks in tbe lobby but near by are some great coffee places as well. Metro station is next door. My room had a mini fridge and coffee maker. Friendly personal. The restaurant inside is not recommendet. Overpriced and the food was meh. Around the corner is a great brewery, with the best meatloaf I ever had. Hard Rock is also nearby. Pool and gym where nice, my son had hours of fun durinh raining hours.

This is Joe, my wife and me. He was incredibly helpful and informative. We were waiting for the elevator on my wife's birthday. The doors opened, Joe an several other people were getting out. Joe led them all in singing happy birthday to my wife.
Great guy, gorgeous hotel. Perfect location. Walking distance to lots of destinations.

1st of all I'm a Titanium Elite member for life. I have been a Marriott member for close to 20 years so I know a little bit about good service and poor service. I booked 2 rooms for my family on Sept 25th and 26th I was kicked to the curb (without proper notice) the day of my arrival. I did get an email that I had 1 room with 6 people in my party. Not possible???
I called the hotel 5 or 6 times to get this resolved no answer. I finally had to call reservations book another Marriott further away just to get my travel arrangements completed. Marriott customer care also called this hotel more than 10 time no answer. A security guard finally answered the phone on the 12 or 15 time and stated no one was at the front desk. I filed a grievance and got a complaint # I asked the hotel to follow up with me (the manager specifically) no call or email to date. I've followed up with my Marriott customer care over a week ago. They also sent a request to the hotel to follow up with me.... you guessed it still nothing.
This is the most ridiculous form of customer service I've ever been associated with and for this hotel which is a premier Marriott brand not to offer me compensation for canceling my room is beyond frustrating. I am reviewing other hotel brands to look at transferring my business to a more hospitable company.
I believe I've given sufficient time and opportunity for this issue to be resolved.
This is the worst example of customer service and it appears typical of this hotel.....

Essentially a classed up holiday in with a lousy restaurant, no complimentary breakfast (and a poor, expensive, paid breakfast), and few ammenities otherwise. I understand the interest in being energy concious, but because the AC hadn't been running at all on the 80 degree day that I arrived the room was stuff and smelled musty, like a boys locker room. The mini fridge was at about 60 degrees and I didn't bother to use it. The place seems clean and the staff was friendly, but that's really all I can say for this one.
