Room was lovely and clean. Service and food ok. However, we had 2 rooms booked, they misplaced our luggage for Several hours. We had to go to our dinner meeting in the Clothes we wore driving in. After several phone calls back-and-forth giving them the number on our claim ticket etc. my husband finally had to go down to the lobby to facilitate finding the luggage. By this time it was 11 at night and we Wanted to go to bed but had none of our things. Staff apologized but offered nothing in compensation. my husband negotiated a slight room discount because of the inconvenience on the two rooms. However, That discount did not materialize. We Initially called, sent emails, several, responded to surveys from their manager, were promised that we would get a response in a few days and we did not. Contacted the main headquarters of the company they set up a review and promised that someone from the Schomburg hotel would contact us...to date nothing. There are hotels Everywhere there, equally as convenient, equally as nice and most of them less expensive. Because of the crappy customer service and the lack of follow through we will no longer be using this chain.
This convention Center is superb. This facility is in a great location, lots of parking parking and a hotel right next door. State of the art. The mayor of Schaumburg is to be applauded for making this awesome space a reality.
For larger events there isn't enough on site parking however a shuttle was provided for those unable to find a space. Apart from that it's a good location for conventions
Absolutely wonderful! Beautiful building and luxurious rooms. Very quiet rooms, great sleep, great dining, wonderful. Staff was great, helpful, polite, and polished.
Attended the Abilities Expo held in the Renaissance's Convention Center. Very easy to get to frim the highway. Special parking was provided for individuals in wheelchairs, whether they had their parking placard or not. The building is wheelchair accessible, which made it easy for my son. The room in which the Expo was located is very large and was able to hold a large variety of exhibits. Unfortunately, we did not stay in the hotel or have any contact with hotel staff.
Room is spacious and comfortable, well worth the stay!
Overbooked the hotel for a dance and competition event and then they called and cancel people's reservations and showed no empathy!
Second time attending a Feed My Starving Children event. The large room is perfect for the packing event.
I went for a jewelery show and it was quite quaint.
Great for business conventions! I had large packages show up to the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention for a conference. The bell and front desk staff were exceptional in making sure the packages were received. They helped me coordinate all the incoming and outgoing shipments and alerted me when my packages were not picked up on the day they were expected to go out. I would have been lost without them! Not many convention centre hotels pay this much attention to detail. Thanks!
Schaumburg's amazing convention center. What a great facility....
We have come here twice for the Feed My Starving Children events. I love that they host this event. I have never stayed here though.
Very nice place. Good food as well from Sam & Harry's
I attended an event in the main exhibit hall. The room could have been a little cooler, but was well lit. The only complaint I have is I couldn't find a changing station for my little one's diaper in the restroom. The staff were all wonderful, friendly and very accommodating though.
Overall the conference space was pretty amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Visit here for Abilities EXPO every year. Great facility
Went for a convention, not many choices for food in the hotel but overall place was nice and clean.
We came here for an expo, and I was surprised to see how big The Renaissance is. Very friendly staff.
Went with my fiance for a work conference, we had a wonderful stay. Hotel is very clean and modern, staff is excellent.
The location is picturesque. I live nearby and was walking around for Pokemon Go. The grounds look nice year round with the ponds architecture.
Rooms are great, restaurant is fantastic for both dinner and breakfast
I attended a social event here, and the place was impressive and clean. I can not comment on the rooms, food, or prices, but what I've seen, I love.
One of the nicest hotels in Schaumburg for the money. Very comfortable and clean.
I've been here a few times for the annual Gluten and Allergen Free Expo every spring. The convention halls are large and roomy, the hotel ambiance and decor is quite lovely. There is a small coffee cafe that sells Starbucks products. The lounge areas are nice and trendy. Although I haven't stayed in the room here, the rest of the hotel amenities are high end.
Had to visit this location for a fishing show. The place was clean and staff were friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Very nice hotel with comfortable/spacious rooms and great amenities. For business travelers or folks who want to watch television in their rooms (you are in Schaumburg and not the Loop after all), the TVs allow you to sign in and watch Netflix and Hulu if you already have an account.
Nice great views...the the beds suck... I mean 4 300 a night.... heating mirror tho and tv in THE bath room
I have an excellent experience each time I am there. Smart educated staff.
Place was polite and clean. Staff was friendly and very helpful
I attended a banquet for my church. It was a lovely location. Easy to find and plenty of parking. Dinner was great.
I caught a Moltres there. Pretty cool. Lovely fountains.
Just the CHICSGO RV SHOW , but the meeting rooms for rent seminars offer : wifi, water, cups, trash, ++$+sound & video projection equipt. , Rest rooms cean and cloe. Parking, meh; get there early ( before they expand to the hotel lots, if going to a seminar/ show exposition etc. Long walk even for handicap space to show? 5 stars if priced fairly and assistance for those who need it.
Pretty nice hotel. They have a TV in the bathroom mirror, so you can watch your shows in the morning while getting ready.
We were there for our granddaughters cheerleading competition.
I went for the Gluten-free expo. Parking was easy, everything was very organized which was great because it was a very big crowd.
This place was made for rich people, but us normal people have the pleasure of being able to afford to stay here! Absolutely beautiful!
Went to the Brickworld Lego convention at the Renaissance as part of a business trip and it was extremely nice, very helpful and professional staff and the convention area was extremely clean.
Great location for a convention show and free parking.
I just visited to assess the location as a viable place for an event I am hosting.
Excellent personal attention very polite and very good food and services
One of the best hotels where I have stayed, the rooms are excellent, the lobby spectacular without mentioning that the pool is much better than an average hotel.
I met a friend there and it was very clean and organized. Pretty cool considering it was crowded.
Very nice, modern rooms. Very comfortable mattress.
This is a beautiful hotel with a great atmosphere in the lobby and restaurants! It's connected to convention areas so you never have to go outside in yucky weather. Many shops and other restaurants nearby including Woodfield Mall and Ikea.
Did not stay, was here for something in the convention center
This is a beautiful facility located in Schaumburg. I went there for my wife's graduation and I was impressed with how beautiful the property was how good the food at the breakfast was and how they were very organized and what they did. This is a great place to have an event.
Clean modern rooms. Several comfortable lounge areas for hanging out with friends. Amazing key lime pie. Starbucks.
The rooms and service were excellent! Perfect setting for a professional meeting or conference
I went there for a Lego convention. The convention room was very roomy and comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and neat. I wish there were more signs pointing to the location of the convention. Thankfully there was an atm close by in case I needed to make a purchase. This convention center added to the joy I felt that day!
Reservation made for two double beds months in advance for family of four. Hotel gave us one king size bed. They said they cannot guarantee double beds. NEVER stay there!!!!!
It was easy to find and seemed clean. I had a straight shot to the conference room I was headed to so I didn't see much of the hotel.
Location was easy enough to access, the room was very large and service was great.
Excellent accommodations. Room was more than expected. TV in the bathroom was a nice touch.
Great convention center, very clean and easy to navigate.
Beautiful hotel! The staff was very friendly! Super clean and stylish rooms! Comfy beds!
This is a nice building with large rooms for conferences. There wasn't a whole lot of room for setting up tables for lunch in the main hall, but it was large enough for a smaller event
Attended a Lego convention with my nephew, it was pretty smooth sailing. The concessions was expensive so we got lunch outside after we were done. I understand there is a Steak restaurant but my nephew is a picky eater who doesn't want anything but a plain hamburger.
I was there for the Mecum Auto Auction and it was a nice event
Stunning. No needs wanted. They thought of everything right down to the smallest detail. The staff were very nice and welcoming. I had a wonderful stay. Follow me on TripAdvisor where I will post pictures of lovely spaces throughout the hotel and give more information about my stay.
When to brickworld Chicago 2018 and the convention center was humongous all the facilities were nice.
