The front desk person (old, gray-haired female with glasses) had a bad attitude from the beginning. Didn t greet us when we tried to check in and didn t want to help us at all. I can tell she hates her job. Why work in customer service if you don t give customers service? Worse Marriott we ve stayed at. I would give 0/5 stars if I could. We saw how others were treated also and it was horrible. I m definitely going to reach out to corporate.

Relatively nice hotel, but the layout is a bit odd in its triangle shape where you have to walk all the way to the end of the hallway then turn back around and walk more if your room is on the upper side. No concierge lounge which is a big bummer for gold or platinum members, but they do offer breakfast tickets as a consolation. Gym is average, but very few channels are available on the tvs and the large tv on the upper level next to the dumbbells is completely broken. Nice location in the Wharf. Clean hotel and friendly staff.

Our room was clean, but our friends who stayed in a different room called the front desk to complain that their room was not clean, and their response to the complaint was "what do you want us to do?" With an attitude. The bed and pillows were super comfortable and they are located near a lot of shopping and dining areas.

Stay there 2 nights room was never clean or service by housekeeping during entire stay.
Will never stay there again.

The staff were absolutely divine...from the housekeeping staff ...the desk clerks... and the bellman Abel. The location is walking distance (about 2 blocks) to the Warf...where everything is happening. Walk a few blocks to board the cable car that takes you to Union Square. But along the way, you witness sights and sounds of San Francisco. Thus, this Marriott gets 2 thumbs up.

Very comfortable room. The shower is very up to date. USB and power outlets all over the place in the room. None of the rooms are next to the elevator. The breakfast is very expensive at $29 for the buffet but provides a nice selection. There are other alternatives for breakfast within 2 blocks of the hotel. We could not connect to the WIFI using our Samsung S6 not being able to get to the registration page. This was not an issue for us. Don't be afraid to bring down a bottle of wine to the lobby. They will ask you to drink it out of bar area in the lobby. We would go back as it is in a nice location near Fisherman's Warf. Enjoy your stay there.

Good location for Fisherman's Wharf. Walkable to many sights. Rooms are nice and clean but mine didn't have any view. Staff was also not as nice as I have come to expect from a Marriott.

Our room was newly remodeled and done to perfection, the staff was great and the concierge helped us with all the local hot spots for dining and bar hoping. It is centrally located next to everything!! I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The worst hotel I have ever visited !!

The worst hotel I have ever visited !!
The check-in person is presumed to be Chinese, but he is rude and does not apologize for making mistakes.
The manager obviously knows that the employee made a mistake, but he does not see any effort to fix it.
If you get these services for $ 240 a night, you can just donate the money and go to bed at the airport

Instead of paying $ 240 a night to get to these services, it would be more valuable to have the money to the homeless and just stay at the airport

Warning--we stayed here and our iPad in our room went missing. Engaged management and after several weeks of back and forth, we were told that they are not responsible for any missing items. We will never stay at a Marriott ever again. It doesn't matter that I've been a loyal patron to their brand for over 10 years.

Location is very sweet, you can walk to so many tourist spots! Chinatown, Fisherman's Wharf, Ghirardelli square, and Little Italy to name a few (plus Pac Heights, Marina, and Hyde St.). Service at the hotel is great. Breakfast especially has very sincere and kind staff. Great vacation experience. Easy (but expensive) valet parking.

A really nice hotel, with attention to the smallest details. Elegant and impeccable room service. The room was very large and clean. I recommend it because it stays in a perfect area, you can easily walk to any area of the center.

Nice building and amenities. Very nice staff and we were treated appropriately. My critisim comes to the onsite bar and restaurant, the cost was outrages, even considering CA cost of living and the food was sub par at best. $25 for a blast buffet that was essentially a continental breakfast and they were concerned I attempted to take a bagel to my room for heaven forbid my wife ate it instead of myself.

Friendly staff, but restaurants seem limited to the copycat pages serving chowder and cioppino. If staying here multiple nights plan on a Lyft unless garlic fries and red clan sauce is your thing

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. I usually stay at Marriotts and this was my best experience. The rooms were good (I ve stayed in better) and great location...The staff was exceptional and went out their way to accommodate us and make our vacation great.

Staff was very friendly and attentive. Locating the entrance was somewhat an issue, having to circle the block for the entrance. Locating rooms was easy with ample signage to easily get around the building.

My husband and I brought our two teenage daughters here for spring break. The room was comfortable and the location fantastic- walking distance to so many wonderful sites. The nightmare came on our third day there. We returned from a great day at Alcatraz to find several of our personal items, from a laptop to my toiletry bag, missing. One of my outfits (jeans and a shirt) was even taken so the perpetrator actually went through my suitcase. Left on my bed were another pair of my jeans, also removed from my suitcase, along with a Rubbermaid canvas bag like the ones used by hotel housekeeping. We noticed our room had only been partially cleaned. Thus, our thought is that either it was an inside job or that while the housekeeper was cleaning, she walked away, leaving our door propped open, allowing someone to enter who made her believe s/he was the true occupant before the room could be fully cleaned. This experience made this the worst vacation ever, and the hotel insurance company (Zurich) sent me a letter four weeks letter addressed to another guest (shows how much time they took in reviewing our claim) basically saying, "CLAIM DENIED...no proof that our staff was negligent." This is one longtime Marriott Rewards member who will be converting to Hilton Honors!! On a positive note, the San Francisco police were very quick to respond, professional and polite. Extremely disappointed.

Clean open space with a not cheap feel. However for a 1000 bucks a night one would think they could have thicker windows to drown out the constant noise from the street, or better water pressure in the shower, or maybe lower the price of parking just a bit. Its nice. But it doesn't feel 1k a night nice.

I am giving one star because of the rude and unpleasant welcome I received from an employee at the reception desk at, The Mariott at fisherman warf s, San Francisco . I have stayed in several Mariott hotels before and have never experienced such a bad treatment. I feel it s best for the group to maintain some consistency in the way they treat their guests. For the money they charge, I am sure they can place a person with compassion and courtesy. After all, these people up front, showcase the quality of service this brand of hotels has to offer.

With a great location and newly renovated rooms, this location is pretty amazing. They're a little pricey, but cheaper than financial district hotels if there's a convention going on. Best part is the fact that they're on the F line which is 2.75 for the trip to the ferry building. I'll definitely stay here with the family.

Great updated room, beautiful renovations, friendly staff, great location within walking distance of pier 39 and the warf. Restaurant and valet parking were a bit pricey but it is the bay... We didn't have the best view though, our room faced the Holiday Inn.

The welcome at reception from Grace was warm and so very helpful. Then the whole team from bags to the room, hints where to eat and the relaxing bar team were great. Next day waiting till 9pm to get a flight back to Australia, staff continued to be helpful and even organising a. Shuttle to the airport.

This Marriott is a little older, but looks to have been renovated within the last 5 years. More than anything, the location is what it's all about. It's right near the waterfront - but not close enough to hear the constant traffic. I prefer this location versus the Union or Financial area based on population. The quality is pretty standard for a Marriott hotel. We had a few small problems (we arrived an hour early and were told to wait and they'd let us know when our room would be ready - which is fine, however they never contacted us, so we sat there for an hour waiting when it was apparently ready after just ten minutes). The hotel is also deceptively large. The outside doesn't do it justice. All in all, it was a good experience.
