Very modern hotel with super fast wifi. Wonderful experience however it is kind of odd that the hotel is separated in two different buildings which can be slightly confusing. There is a skywalk to each section and to the Convention center which makes it easier to get around in the city.

Front desk and check in was terrible. Booked 4 rooms for our coaches. All of use checked in at different times. My check in only took long because there were a lot of people there. That is understandable. Made sure that the other three rooms were charged to my card so that when they checked in Mt here would be no problems. Two of my other coaches checked in and had a thought time checking in. Then on top of that one coach got his key to his room and ended up getting keys to a room that was already occupied. I had to get up at 130am and deal with the front desk and the managers for over an hour to figure thins out. On top of that I did not get a "I'm sorry" or "can I comp you somehow" I'm a Marriott platinum, so I've probably spent timein over 100 Marriott and this was not a good showing by the staff. Other than that the rooms were nice

Excellent downtown accommodations. Walking distance to Power & Light, Sprint Center, and the KC Convention Center. If your primary business is in the suburbs, them you'll probably want someplace else. We stayed in a recently renovated room in Muehlebach Tower, which was lovely. It can be a bit confusing to navigate from the underground parking or the main lobby to Muehlebach. However, if you're an intrepid adventurer, you'll find that the subterranean laberinth also connects to the Convention Center and other buildings in the immediate area. The underground route is wonderful when it's cold outside. Service was fast and friendly. We indulged in some room service and were not disappointed. Side note: they have Roasterie coffee, which is both excellent and local. We arrived a bit before the official check-in time and the front desk staff were able to find a ready room. Getting there early is on us, but I really appreciated them making it work.

Staying at this hotel was a great experience, we stayed one night without a room booked ahead, the location was great and we had a beautiful view from our room on the eleventh floor. The rooms were very clean and spacious. My only complaint would be that our room did not have any kind of body wash or hand soap in the bathroom

Found a cockroach outside our room, manager didn't care or apologize. Hallways smell awful, privacy curtains don't close all the way, and mattress is jammed against overloaded power outlets. This room supposedly goes for $370 a night, I wouldn't pay $50 to stay at this roach motel ever again. Oh, also be prepared to pay $20 a night for underground parking.

Great hotel and location! We had 2 rooms in the newly renovated tower across the street. The rooms were beautiful and nicely appointed. The mini fridge was such a pleasant surprise! The hotel was able to accommodate connecting rooms and we were so grateful. The 22nd floor pool was great! I would definitely stay again!

We stayed in the "east tower" overall it was a great hotel. The room service/restaurant food was much better than our last visit and the staff was extremely helpfull. Only downside was the thin walls, I could hear everything from our neighbors room.

The hotel and conference facilities are pretty good. Rooms appear to have been recently updated. Biggest thing for me is not much they can do anything about... the all night noise associated with being in a downtown city area makes me not sleep well.

This hotel was great! We stayed for a student activity there at the convention center, which was super close. The staff was friendly, the room was beautiful, and the workout facilities were great!

I booked a room at the Downtown Marriott for my best friend's bachelorette party because it was in walking distance the P&L district. The room was nice, the hotel was in a good location, and the front desk was helpful. However, when I booked the room online it said that I would be receiving two Queen sized beds but they were only Full. No microwave, no mini-fridge, no hot tub. Not only was the room already $150 a night but we also had to pay for parking AND internet. What kind of a hotel doesn't have free internet service these days? We paid $18 for valet parking and three hours later went downstairs to find that our car still hadn't been parked! It was the middle of the night and the car was just sitting out there while the guys were BSing. I'm not paying $5 more for something like that! Besides for the valet parking, the service was nice. We were able to borrow tape from the front desk, got a rollaway bed sent up, and had someone bring us a cart and helped us load the car when we were ready to check out. So, if you are prepared to pay for all the extras on top of it already being one of the pricier places in town and you park your own car (cause valet doesn't like to do their job), it is a nice place to stay.

I attended a gala at the Kansas City Marriorr Downtown. The most difficult part of the experience was figuring out which entrance to use. Ha! I parked on the opposite side of the building from the main entrance, thinking the Muehlbach sign was the main entrance. Oops! Service was wonderful, drinks were delicious, and food was great. And the lower level bar is beautiful and historic! Wow!

Very nice hotel! We were there around Christmas and it was beautifully decorated and the outside of the building lights up with Christmas scenes. Right downtown. Pool is on a top floor with a great view from panoramic windows. Nice little cafe in lobby.

The hotel itself was clean, spacious, and staff was friendly. Got dessert from hotel bar and it was good, not great, but good. Also are dinner at the attached restaurant. The food was pretty good but service was slow and our waiter nearly seemed annoyed when we asked for a refill or additional items (and we weren't very needy). Overall though, it was a good experience and I like being downtown close to our event that night!

Accommodations were terrific! Fitness room and pool area - outstanding!
Location to downtown events and areas can't be beat.
Only hassle was getting in and out of parking garage - tech needs serious upgrading!

Mediocre business hotel. In-room outlets did not work for charging devices, and there were no USB plugs. Automated wake up call system did not work. Restaurant, beds, bathrooms are all very good, but the technology infrastructure is showing some age.

The Kansas City Marriott Downtown is a decent hotel for its class. The location is good as it is close to the convention center, P&L District, and many of the central office buildings downtown. It's a bit pricey for what you get, but considering the other options downtown, it's not bad. Parking is also quite a bit more expensive than some of the other downtown options.

The lobby/cafe area is nice, but nothing beyond what you would expect from the Marriott. The rooms were nice overall, but lacked some of the features I usually expect from a hotel (refrigerator). Early in the week, there was a serious problem with the water pressure in my shower, but maintenance was able to repair it relatively quickly.

If need to stay downtown Kansas City, this is a decent option, especially if you are in the Marriott rewards program.
