I'm a loyal Marriott customer so this review is painful to write! I have to share my latest experience. My friend and I booked a room downtown for Austin City Limits and had the worst experience!!!! First we checked in at 1pm and my room wasn't clean. We had called twice to make sure our rooms were right next to each other. Her room was clean so we put our bags in there. When we came back from ACL they gave us our keys but someone else's bags were in the room. The manager on duty just said it was a mistake and they would have to put us on another floor. He didn't seem to care at all that they screwed up and accidentally gave our room away. They put us in room 813 (handicap accessible) and it smelled like a gym locker! That was the remedy for giving our room away???? Then we had to wait 15 minutes for them to bring us keys to a new room on the 3rd floor. My friends who stayed in another room had their air conditioning break and the smoke alarm went off when they took a shower because the air wasn't circulating!! We really felt like we were being pranked. Then around 1pm when we were talking in their room we had a knock on the door and they said we have a noise complaint and if we have to come up again we will have to kick you out! This hotel is a JOKE! Stay somewhere else!

Decent hotel but starting to show it's age considering the price per night. While the lobby has been updated the rooms have not so it really depends on your priorities. If you need something in downtown Austin for less than the higher tier hotels then it's not bad!

Great food and great service. Ate here with my wife while staying across the pond at the ritz and we were treated very well. Like i said, on the same property as the ritz and possibly the better experience.

Great location next to sixth street and within walking distance to a lot of things and many places to eat. However was asked for money daily by homeless (not hotel's fault). Rooms a bit smaller than I'm used to for a Residence In. Clean and nice staff. Expensive daily parking rate but prob standard pricing for downtown area. Very close to Metro and Bus and Convention Center.

The hotel is not motorcycle friendly. Friends and I have been running into trouble every year with this hotel because we ride motorcycles. We attend the MotoGp event each year in Austin and stay here. Today my friend was told he could not park his motorcycle up front while he checks in. He then found parking around the corner, walked back to check in. He then came back to park his motorcycle and was approached by a staff member as he was entering the parking garage and he asked "Are you a staying here at the hotel?" My friend responded, 'Yes". An incident has happened each year with parking our motorcycles. I would not recommend this to any motorcycle riders because of the way they treat you and Matt(Managing staff) did not help the situation. I highly recommend the staff be retrained on customer service. We will not attend the hotel next year.

We had a very good time in the Residence Inn and would recommend it to everyone. The front end manager Matt treated us like we were his only guests. When I watched him later he did the same for the next guests. The girls in the Championship Bar and Grill were excellent, as well as the Valets. Top notch.

I used mobile check-in, got a notification at 1pm that my room was ready, showed up at 3:15pm and they tell me that there is no room ready. They offer to call my cell when the room is ready. I site in their lobby until 530pm and finally get a room. Ridiculous! Staff was not helpful.

The hotel was pretty average. I liked that it felt pretty new. The workout area was nice, the pool is a little weak.

Our room was pretty noisy. We had to listen to the loud club music 2 roads over til 2 a.m. and could hear people in the hall and the rooms next to us too easily. The kitchen in the room was nice but the layout was odd. Free wifi is good.

I'm not a big fan of Austin. Not a lot of activities near the hotel other than restaurants. If I had to go back to Austin, I'd probably try another hotel.

Rooms are very nice and clean. This location is also participating in an initiative called Go Green. In lieu of housekeeping for a night, you can get Marriott Reward points instead. For someone who doesn't really care if their room is cleaned during their stay, this is a win win!

Good beds, good rooms, good service. The lobby has tea, lemonade, and flavored water for the guests. My only complaints are the food in the market was a bit stale and room service didn't rinse the sink. All in all a great hotel though.

Our family of four stayed here while on a week long road trip through Texas. I don't even know when or who we mentioned that to, but one morning we received a nice card wishing us the best on our road trip, with certificates for Starbucks enclosed. This hotel goes out of their way in the hospitality department. Everyone was friendly and always had a smile. They were very helpful with any questions we had and truly did their best to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We appreciated the security. It's downtown, so obviously you have to expect more risks. But they've installed measures of security with guards, and needing your key for the elevator, etc. It was also very clean. We will definitely stay here again!

Decent hotel. Overall it's clean and staff seemed nice. Breakfast isn't great. Plus, they were out of oatmeal at 9:30 and said they'd used their daily ration of it, refused to make more? The biggest problem I had was paying $29 per day just to park my vehicle. I'm already paying over $200 per night plus the ridiculous taxes!

Decent hotel in downtown Austin. Decor is fairly dated but the rooms are spotlessly clean, spacious and very well equipped. The breakfast buffet is well above average for this price point. During my short stay service was very friendly & efficient

Great hotel, centrally located to any spot downtown you'd want to walk or Uber to. I've stayed here many times.
Friendly staff, well-managed, and provides one of the best complimentary breakfasts in the city.

This hotel is perfectly located for 6th street and the downtown. The rooms seemed to be neat and clean. The desk staff was friendly and quick. No complaints, but a token breakfast would have been nice. I know the folks across the hall at Residence Inn had it, but they told me the "cheaper" rooms at the Courtyard did not get the extras. Nice place to stay, no complaints, but next time the Hampton Inn is close and, yup, you get breakfast.

I stayed here for 4 nights for a conference and from the start of my stay it was not an enjoyable experience. The staff wasn t nice to me I don t like to pull the race card but in this situation I have to because it was too many times I noticed it every morning I went to get breakfast before heading to the conference and I heard the staff say good morning to everybody but ME even the African American front desk staff not one of them greated me I had to go down to the front desk to ask for the towels and the staff started going back and forth with me about getting towels. Today is my check out day and once again I went down to get coffee and purposely made my coffee in front of the front desk staff and still no one greated me but they are very attentive to the white guys waiting on the shuttle. I would not recommend staying at this location if your skin is a little to dark!! Signed guest 907

Nice hotel and rooms right near the downtown nightlife. Breakfast is included with the rooms and it's decent. There is a bar attached to the hotel but otherwise the lobby is relatively sparse and quiet. Parking is in a garage directly below the hotel so if you self Park like I did it's still easy, unlike some hotels where parking is four blocks away so you end up paying extra for the valet. The exercise room is well stocked but the pool is pretty small so if you are bringing kids there they may be disappointed. Overall I would stay there again because of the location in particular.

The staff at the reception was very friendly and the room was bright and spacious. The indoor pool was nice. The location is excellent as it's very close to restaurants in downtown. Didn't like the Champion restaurant in the hotel.

The staff checking us in were WONDERFUL. As soon as they learned it was our first time in Austin, they took the time to circle their favorite places to eat and their favorite places to go out. We were SO CLOSE to everything. The space was also great. We had a 2 bedroom suite for 5 people; it was more than enough space and very reasonably priced - and very clean! We will stay here again.

Room was very nice and clean. However, our main issue was Maria, the front desk staff. We checked in at night and right away she gave us a very unpleasant and unwelcoming presence. Very unfriendly and didn t even smile or anything throughout our interaction. Thanks goodness the next day we had a different front desk staff to help us. Princess was very helpful and polite. Overall it was an okay experience. I expect more from Marriott staffs.

Cozy apartment style room that was so homie and nice. First of all there are two sleeping arrangements one is a king sized bed with a door that locks for those parents, or couples who want some privacy, and a pull out couch in the living area, very spacious and welcoming, the kitchen was also so special with dishes, pots, cutlery, for your cooking purposes! I would love to stay here again!!

I think the pricing is a little to high for the design of the small spaced rooms. & the very old model of reception computers the front attendant workers use is out of date for its software. Plus there s not a lot of valet parking when it s rushed busy.

Great service with a smile. The room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. We had a great view of downtown too. Really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely recommend it to others. Just a warning though, parking is expensive downtown no matter where you go.

I love this place. The service was great. The staff greeted everyone upon arrival. The hotel was clean and felt like home. My family & I loved enjoyed the view. Breakfast is included in your stay according to your agreement. The free breakfast was filled with a variety of food. Everything about our stay is the reason why I will pay a little more to receive exceptional customer service.
