The Marina is a beautiful place to stay for a summer vacation. The food was excellent. Room Service was prompt. The beds are high for those with mobility issues, so bring a stepping stool. Due to traveling with a handicapped individual I didn't get to go to the beach as often but when I did it was beautiful. The amenities of this hotel are to numerous to detail. Next time I will stay for at least a week or two.

I don't understand why this hotel has such a high rating because the pictures look nice, but the hotel is not well kept at all! The furniture is all worn like it was donated. We even got the "upgrade" but we had to change rooms because the bathroom was moldy with water spots everywhere. Then when we get even more of an "upgrade" the furniture was less worn but there's a giant spider on the wall. When the bell-man brings our stuff, he's just standing there with the door open letting all kinds of bugs in, and we ask if he can come in, he says no because it's against their policy. Ok yea whatever but then he made some snide remark about letting a few little bugs bother me. HECK YES they do when I'm paying $300+ a night to stay here. Maybe I'm insane for wanting to stay at a hotel without bugs? Not worth it!! From the pile of crumbs in the middle of the floor requiring a request from housekeeping, to the raw egg in the elevator that was there for over an hour, to the bell-man muttering that we're a pain in the ass for nicely requesting a new room, this is the WORST hotel experience I've ever had. Let's see if they do what's right and give me my money back. I'm only giving them 3 stars because the rest of the place was beautiful and the front desk staff was really nice.

Update: They issued a full refund

Got a great deal and had view of the pool os the oy reason they received 2 stars. The shower seal was raggedy it leaked water all over the bathroom floor had to place towels on the floor. The water actually pushed a wad of hair evidently from the previous guests onto the bathroom floor. Being in a state of a covid pandemic this sanitary act is totally unacceptable, how could anyone miss a wad of hair in a shower stall? I made note of this during check out and even showed the rep my pics but they didn't do much. The bad thing about it a nurse from NC was checking out and complaining about staying there 2 days and had to clean their own room. This unsanitary act is truly not acceptable in any place someone is spending their hard earned money and taking a chance to support their business and can get any level of safety during their stay.

This place is an excellent place to stay! I stayed in the King bedroom suite and I must say I was very impressed! Even though this place does not have an ocean view it is one of the best hotels I ve ever stayed in at Myrtle Beach! It is definitely a 4 star hotel! I was on the 7th floor and could see all the boats in the marina. I was a little worried at first because two customers were being rude because they went through a 3rd party and whoever they used did not include all the fees. I used Expedia but I did not have any issues and we was able to get a great room with no problems. Did I mention the rooms has a working fireplace! Glad I got the opportunity to enjoy this place

Nice place to stay. Enjoyed our one night getaway.Started out with noisey individuals in other rooms but as the evening went by it calmed down. Communication was great with hotel. Would stay here again in the winter months not too pricey.

This hotel is immaculate and the valet Sam and Anthony were very courteous and helpful. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable. Two balconies with everything you need for a comfortable stay. I felt like I was home. Thank you very much for such a wonderful experience. Shuttle to the beach as well. Every one we interacted with was very friendly and suggested things to do. We will be back with our family and friends soon. Oh, did I mention wonderfully kept grounds and pools. If you want to stay at a real hotel, then look no further. I would not even look at no other hotel in the area.

Excellent condo / hotel. Accommodations cannot be beat in Myrtle Beach. Pool is excellent. Private beach is excellent. Small bus to the beach is really convenient. Gym is great. Full kitchen in our condo and washer dryer, which we made ample use of. We struggled with the maid service. I am not sure what was going on, but they cam around 9 am. If we didn't allow them to clean at that time, they never come back. After a day at the beach, we never had enough towels when we returned to the condo. We called for towels and no one showed up. Although one evening the night staff came at 9 pm to rectify and clean the condo. Definitely some issue with the day staff.

Attended a conference here for work and the staff was great and the place was clean. Food wasn't too shabby as well. The only reason I could not give 5 stars is because near the ballroom they had replaced lights in the ceiling and used the wrong colored bulbs and made it stick out like a sore thumb. Other than that the place was great

My husband and I stayed at the Marina Inn at Grand Dunes in Myrtle Beach, S.C. in June 2016. My husband was attending a training conference for a needed certification for his job. The entrance to the hotel is very lovely, well designed and maintained in such a way as to provide the ultimate introduction to the hotel. The room was ready when we arrived at 5:00 pm. The room was very spacious and tastefully decorated. I particularly enjoyed the vanity table with the lighted make-up mirror. Unfortunately, we had some minor issues that needed to be addressed. The thermostat was pre-programmed to only allow certain temperature settings to be achieved. With the humidity level extremely high this time of the year, our room was damp which made sleeping difficult. We were able to get the hotel to send an engineer to remedy this problem. Our refrigerator had to be adjusted as well, because it was freezing the canned sodas we had in it. One night we got back to the hotel and the power was out because of a storm. There were issues with the back up generator, but the staff rallied quickly and got the power back running. One thing we couldn't understand was why our room did not have a microwave oven. Apparently, from what we were told, one guest got sick from a microwave that was behind a desk and operated by the hotel staff. But, that doesn't seem to explain why a microwave oven cannot be placed in a guest's room. I have stayed in many hotels. This is the first time I have been in one without a microwave. The staff must get a lot of complaints from guests who like me, enjoy being able to reheat food left-over from the local restaurants or just fix myself a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast without having to get out so early. Housekeeping skipped cleaning our room one morning. We had to call the front desk to get our room cleaned. After that, the housekeeping staff stopped restocking the toiletry items, like shampoo and conditioner. The average daily room charge for our stay is $269 . I would naturally expect top notch service and amenities, especially since they are not an oceanfront hotel. The staff have been great overall and are by far the greatest asset at the hotel. Unless we are coming here for required work training and education, we will probably look elsewhere for accommodations that are equivalent to the amounts being charged.

I always enjoy staying here for the location and proximity to the golf course. However, Marina Inn at GD is getting very long in the tooth and needs a facility make-over. Nevertheless, the staff always makes our stay fun and carefree. The hot tub/Jacuzzi is marvelous in the Fall -- our favorite time here.

Love this place. Looks great. Everyone very nice. Great food. Granted I always come so far in winter... Close to all great food and entertainment. Will always make sure I get room with kitchen. Gave us room to eat and drink more if we wanted. It's a great place to spend a weekend maybe a week in the future. Room is similar to a room I always get when in Vegas. House keeping people awesome and friendly. All of the right people in the right place in this establishment. Pleasure to be a patron at the marina inn
