I will never buy anything from this company until it can assure me that it no longer tolerates barbaric cruelty towards the animals in its care.

The allegations of cruelty are bad; the company's response is bad; it's not a leap to distrust the products of such an organization. Their lukewarm "mea culpa" doesn't carry much weight once you delve deeper into their history of animal abuse. Citations for violating animal welfare laws; transporting animals in unheated, unventilated vehicles; outdated euthanasia practices; the list goes on. If you are considering buying meat from this place, be very, very careful. Remember the torturous deaths their animals undergo to make it onto your plate. Maple Lodge "Farms", here's what you can do to fix this: re-issue your apology without all the anger directed towards the whistleblower; educate your employees; and become politically active AGAINST the type of ag-gag legislation that we here in the U.S are fighting so hard to stop. Be like Caesar's wife, above reproach, and you will overcome this. There's no other way.

Went to the trailer behind the store front off Winstonchurchill. This place was supposed to be a temp building but l guess it dose the trick. Parking is a little tricky. Better go on an off time or you will have to walk a bit. That is if you are interested in bulk frozen chicken.

Chicken shop Manager is ignorant and not very helpful.
The prices are not great,most times you could get better prices at the grocery stores
When calling in to chickenshop phones are never answered.
They only accept Visa,Debit or cash for payment.
They do not accept Mastercard!!

Clearly there is no attempt to treat the chickens humanely - your response to the video exposing the mis-treatment is totally unbelievable. You'll put Canada off chickens for food, for good, if you don't change.

Yes it is true that being a meat eater you are essentially killing an animal, but we don't need to torture and hold animals to such cruelty from beginning to end. This form of farming, factory farming is absolutely become a disgusting industry. I am a meat eater and I can say, I can no longer consume this type of suffering. My appetite is gone. What are we humans doing?? I have no more words...

you cant beat the pricing for bulk chicken. the bone in chicken breasts were huge and tasted so good on bbq after we froze them to last all summer. would definately buy again.

we also ordered chicken wings which were on sale. not all regular prices are great deals but if you can find something on special, go for it! the wings were huge and twice the size of what i find in grocery store.

Good place to get chicken relatively inexpensively. I have attached a scan of the price list from the summer of 2018. The prices at the store, on that day, were even cheaper than at Costco (which they supply). Sometimes chicken goes on sale cheaper at regular grocery stores, but if there's no weekly sales on at a regular store and you need chicken, this is a good place to go. The store itself was a fairly dirty and somewhat dark place. It has an odd variety of things for sale- it's not just chicken. It's more like a small grocery store/deli.

These are animal abusers. Clean up your act, or go out of business.

It's called factory outlet but they sell expensive than other supermarket Almost double prices ...I don't know why they like to rip off innocent people by telling them it's factory store ..wake up guys at least have a quick look on chicken prices online flyers you guys gonna see a huge price difference STOP going there but from ur local supermarket they are making us fool

ATTENTION-this is not zabeeha halal, it is a false claim. I bought from them many months but completely stopped when i found it is not halal. STAY AWAY

Never fresh. Usually products are 5 to 7 days old. Check production date before you buy.

Also saw the video of baby chicks ground up that are not wanted!!! Disgusted and outraged! How can there be no Canadian animal protection laws that prevent this unbelievable horror! I will work hard to post and spread the word about this terrible place where living creatures are thrown in a grinder. This must be stopped.

Qualitative chicken but be careful with their sausages which sometimes hv bones and you will lose ur teeth.

The serving ladies seem a bit awkward but they are usually polite.

All the animal people need to give it a rest. It's a harsh reality. We all know. I would probably raise my own chickens if i had the land.

But we live in this reality. Deal with it better lol whinning solves nothing. Well in this manner it doesn't.

The least of your worries should be the animal curtly of this company, Should be more worried about the chickens being put on your plates that have cancer, colds, and other deceases, or the truck load of frozen dead chicken that the continue to process when we have low winter temperatures.

Place has been on probation since 2013 for SLAUTERING chickens the INHUMANE way. They have been charged 100,000 dollars and are being watched. Do not support them. Disgusting

Great place to pickup chicken (even for retail consumers) and even better for restaurants and small grocery stores. Picked up some chicken wings ... oh did I mention the prices... they re good too.

There is no point in calling this place, they usually don't know what products they have and if they would have more. Their only answer is "I can tell" or "I don't know, I only work some days"

Maple Lodge advertises itself as being deeply committed to "humane and respectful" treatment of chickens with accompanying imagery of pastures and small-scale farms. What false advertising. You should be ashamed of yourself. Treating animals the way you do is a sin. Behaviour towards your animals is deplorable.

Please tell me how freezing chickens to death isn't animal cruelty. They have been fined by the Federal Court of Appeal in Canada $6,000 for letting 860 hens freeze to death. The Farm was previously fined $80,000 for causing undue suffering to chickens before slaughter.

Have a look at the hidden camera footage from their slaughterhouses, sickening and so sad that animal welfare has obviously been neglected for maximal profits. Shame on you Maple Lodge Farms.

I remember visiting Maple Lodge Farms as a child with my dad to pick up fresh chicken products from this awesome family company!

The May family are great people been buying chicken from them for years & worked temporarily here & even had an interview, The company is not what is used to be, The HR Rep seem not know anything about the job position they are hiring for when asked what it entails, There is too many managers & not enough workers, The lack of information & communication from management is appalling & some of these managers don`t understand what being a manager is clearly. The Company needs a big overhaul in management team, Working for my Brother I call the sales department & its just ridiculous some person answers the phone named Anna it sounds like who i can`t understand & the manager in the department is not much help either, If this is how they run their sales department good luck getting my business back ever again i will go elsewhere.

Folks if you dont care about harmless innocent animals at least consider what this company is doing to your health. If no one in managment knows about what goes on there than it leads me to wonder what else is happemning there not to mention the hiring of maniacs that feel like torturing animals makes them feel better about their own pathetic lives, Sure these pathetic losers likely grew up with no parents or very awful ones to say the least but keep in mind that its these very sames pathetic losers we see on video that maple lodge is hiring and letting them deal with the meat people are eating.
if you want to see what your eating when shopping in this torture chamber you can get an idea by watching forks over knives or food inc. Support your local farmers and choose organic over this mystery meat. Sure it looks like chicken but if you see whatsts actually in the meat itself will scare you.

If u hv a small freezer home, it iz wrth the visit. Especially 4 Halal chiken wit difrnt variety. 2 bad there iz no place that kan sell Halal beef lyke this.

Animal cruelty advocates don't deserve to be reviewing this place. It is what it is and people will keep flocking to this place for some decent protein. As for the place it self, it's alright. They need some renovations though.
