2 days in a row!!! ;))) I really like Mandinas! it's an experience! Brought my Wife for Lunch the second time.
Mandinas is my favorite restaurant in a city of great restaurants. Come hungry, leave happy. A half and half sandwich and some gumbo is the perfect lunch and you'll leave with half the sandwich, it's so big.
Where the locals go, great authentic food in a casual setting
Soft shell crabs are available, now, and Mandina's knows exactly how to fry them! I had almandine for lunch, and that crab was delicious.
Pretty good. Got the spaghetti and meatballs since I was hearing good things about the red sauce. It was pricey but portions are large. It also came with a piece of bread. Overall pretty good.
Fantastic dinner large portions very historical feeling place! Helped a woman celebrate her 100th birthday too!
Awesome great food great service a New Orleans classic
New Orleans institution! Must try everything! Ask for Mel!
One of the most delicious restaurants in Louisiana. Great Cajun food. Plus, it s easy to park, with a dedicated parking lot, which makes life much easier.
Great shrimp creole and bbq shrimp Poboy.
Finest Turtle Soup I have ever savored. OMG to die.
The is staff is accommodating, courteous and make you like family. Thank you Joy and the gang !!!
What to say- OMG! This has to be the best ever stuffed shrimp. I m a crab cake person, and I m telling you this is the best food I ve eaten. You are truly in for a surprise ~ the drum almondine is delicious!
If your in New Orleans, looking for good authentic food.... this is a must.
Always good food. Ill be back in September
Well were back and we took some friends. This is a must eat place. It can't be beat
New to NOLA and this has been my best restaurant experience thus far!
waitress was slow and my girls shrimp where raw on 1 side and burned on the other my gumbo good except for little bits of crab shell staff seemed to be more interested in football game on tv then taking care of customers
Bad vibes in the restaurant.. too much gravy on the food.. tasteless dessert.. over priced
Awesome meal! A local filled me in on this place. Had the turtle soup, a greens salad and the Gulf fish (Drum) Almondine w. Fries. Excellent service and you definitely go back next time I'm in town. Highly recommend, especially if you want to avoid the french quarter scene.
First stop back home for half n half shrimp n oyster po boy sandwich.
The shrimp salad is an amazing lunch choice as well. Big gulf shrimp.
Great home cooking. Made reservations, they have parking. Best appetizer was the eggplant sticks, very crunchy and wonderful marinara sauce. Seafood platter was excellent, everyone was pleased.
The food was terrible. I had Cajun Shrimp which tasted a bit like Chinese sweet and sour from a microwave dinner. My wife had grilled fish with beans and the beans were definitely not fresh but from a can. The waitress was nice, and they have good beer, but the food was bad.
Love this place being eating here for over 20 year's!
Friendly atmosphere ,good service and the crawfish etouffee was delicious
Always good food and great service. A must for eating in New Orleans!
Really four stars but so popular and crowded that I felt rushed and conversatios we're difficult.
BIG PORTIONS ! good food a must stop they been there for over 75years and I can taste why. Hey try the bread pudding
Their food is great. I love their shrimp poboys. All of the waiters are friendly and efficient.
Local restaurant for locals, great food, wonderful service, over price
Have loved Mandina's for 25 years at least. It's a great "in dive". It's loud, hustle, bustle, VERY NEW ORLEANS....good food, good drinks. Consistanlty
The food is regularly well prepared and tasty, employees provides good customer service. I loved the cleanliness and atmosphere. Will visit here again.
Great food and super busy, but over all well worth it
We eat there every timewe go to Nola the best local place to eat
Great traditional New Orleans cuisine, nostalgic atmosphere, great service and value
Food was OK my big problem was that we had agroup dinner reserved, when we got there they had another group in the room. There was plenty of space but the other group was really loud and wouldn't leave. They were all done but just sitting and talking really loud. Then half way through our dinner they seated another group in the same room. No one at out table could could hear anyone directly across from them. To bad food wasnt good enough to offset the noise.
Great New Orleans style seafood. Awesome appetizers, best Shrimp Remoulade. Dynamite soups, Turtle Soup and Oyster and Artichoke soups are fantastic. Portions are generous. Their daily specials are really a bargain. One of my favorites.
Great service. A lot of food on each order. Be ready to eat. Parking for about 30 cars.
Always a favorite for thier home cooked meals. Service is great and prices are good.
This place is a must stop when in New Orleans! The food was superb!!
Locals usually fill this restaurant to capacity every day. If you want lunch here on Friday, get here early or expect to wait about 40 mins. The food is excellent creole creations perfected over 60+ years in the same location - the wait staff have made careers here and know their regulars by name.
Oh my sweet baby, Jesus this food was great. Turtle soup with sherry is outta sight dip the bread into the soup it s amazing. Eggplant parmigiana is enough for 2 to split as well. Great for romantic dinner we have leftovers of the eggplant and Tchopitoulas IPA on draft was a winner too
Food was excellent and attentive service. Would recommend to locals and visitors.
My first time here. Good service good food. Go give it a try for yourself.
My food was extremely delicious. The fried oysters were the best I'd ever had and the gumbo was exceptional. I was disappointed in my server though. It took far too long to get my drink and appetizer order. I was never offered a refill on my soda either. However, I came to eat good seafood and they got that part right.
Turtle soup & trout almandine. Whole loaf poboys and heavy pours at the bar. Daily specials that are special. Since 1932 what else do ya need
Red beans & grilled shrimp bordelaise always delicious.
We love this restaurant. Great food with large menu selection and portions. Awesome service. They treat you like family.
All the great food and drinks you've grown to love in a more quaint setting."
So you're in NOLA, prolly tipsy and looking for some classy grub, amirite? Mandina's has got you way more than covered, with fantastic service to boot! Bonus: There's a Walgreens down the street, get you some Advil and a Gatorade before bed!
The right food and the right people at the right time. It was perfect
When I'm in New Orleans one of my favorite italian restaurant's is Mandina's on canal blvd. Can't say enough good about the food. Very large portions.
Good dollar value.
I will always go back.
Enjoy.
I left New Orleans 8 years ago, but I still dream of Mandina's turtle soup. Am currently contemplating a visit, in part, just so I can get some.
Great food. A little noisy but the service makes up for that...
Outstanding lunch fish cooked to perfection and the soft shell crab was delicious
I ended up here after Neyow's had a 2.5 hour wait. I was super excited about that mishap. This was my birthday, and I was trying a new place for the first time. My server made this experience amazing. I don't remember his name, but he was a taller, gentlemen- Black- and worked the section upstairs by the window. He catered to my guests. Now, the food, the food "spoke" for itself. I ordered the seafood platter appetizer. Jesus that was too much food, but was all good and worth trying to finish. The fish were fried but fresh. The shrimp had the perfect fish and flavor taste. And the onion rings were battered well. For my meal, I ordered the Chicken Parm....yassss! That sauce was perfect, the chicken was tender, juicy, and well fried and the pasta was perfectly al dente. Thank you for the lovely evening Mandinas.
Been eating at Mandina's foie over 30 years. Always had good food, large portions and great service.
Great food, the seafood appetizer is big enough for an entree or can be shared
Great food, nice choice of seafood, and Italian dishes. Free parking!
It is an old friend, that one loves to see at anytime. This visit I enjoyed the real "Club Sandwich". No, no cheese, American, swiss, gouda, or provalone. A true club has NO cheese!! Mandina's has not changed a bit in the 50 years that I have been going there. Everything is fresh, and the turkey is real breast meat, and of course the bacon is fresh and real. Love it, love it. Thank you Mandina's!!!
