The room was beautiful and getting to the Haram was somewhat easy to get to. Only issue we had was with the bathroom... for some odd reason it would flood, and it took forever for someone to come and see what was wrong but other than that our stay was amazing.

Brilliant hotel but a bit of extra walking to the haram. Staff are all very attentive especially Showkat and team in the gold lounge.

However, one concern was the fairmont gold private butler service allows for supposedly free flow drinks juices and coffee to the room.

I was told I ordered more than the registered no of guest in my two bedroom suite. Such a trivial matter that should not have been raised in the first place given that the room alone costs around 5k usd for 5 nights.

Perhaps the management would re look into this. If it is a big issue, dont offer it at all.

BAD service in checking out! People here are not helpful. Worst fairmont I have visited in my life. All elevators leading to the floor where we were are out of service I had to figure everything on my own! Also we were late to go to tje airport becaus of this service of no elevators. We were here for worship and it this just ruined our happy moment. Also security outside while waiting for our driver were so rude, we are visitors of this place we are not familiar with their rules there s no need to be rude, non of the concierge were helpful only the guy whi took the luggages while checking in. The worst I repeat, in the future we are not going to stay here and I will never recommend this place to anyone! Get your elevators fixed!

The 29th floor restaurant breakfast was absolutely great. Coming to Makkah to visit ka'ba, there isnt much time for staying hotel but visiting 29 th floor was an everyday thing. MAISHA, from the restaurant was an absolute charm and help. She elevated the reputation of the hotel. SO SHE AND THE RESTAURENT GETS A 5 STAR.

MEANWHILE, RECEPTION AND THE LUGGAGE TEAM TEAM AND THE PEOPLE IN CHARGE IF SECURITY IS ABSOLUTELY A DISGRACE WHEN IT COMES TO WORK FOR A 5 START HOTEL like Fairmont..... What a contrast, btw my bag gone missing Between the time I arrived and enter my room.

Rooms are clean and comfortable. Service is slow and poor. Staff has a careless attitude. Accessing the hotel is a challenge where ground floor, parking, concierge and lobby are all at different levels and the elevators are a complex maze

We were in Room 1030 and got the chance to experience upgraded VIP breakfast on the 29th floor in the Saudi Restaurant. The breakfast was superb, but the service was absolutely amazing by Kazi. He was a gentleman and provided really great service. He met all our needs the second we requestes something and was exceptional also in doing so.
Thank you Kazi! You will be missed. I wish we met you earlier. In sha Allah next time :)

I stayed for three nights, I liked the breakfast in the restaurant on the 29th floor and also the food in the restaurant near the Reception area.

But was disappointed with the service in the room as the water in the washbasin was clogged and inspite of several request no one showed up to do the maintenance though someone came at the time of check out which was useless for me .Also the glass in the windows were so dirty that we could hardly see trough it.

I hope the people working in the hotel treat the guest without discrimination.

Wonderful experience

Wonderful experience
One thing can be added here.
A small literature booklet regarding famous places (ziarat)of Makkah should be placed inside rooms in 4 to 6 languages including Urdu for the Haji's. This will help them to understand the importance of all ziarats.

The room is good, but the cleaning service is so limited, hard to get the room to be cleaned on time and as expected. Breakfast room also limited and crowded with limited selection of food compare to 5 star hotel as usual. But overall service is OK.

I wouldn't recommend staying here for hajjis or people looking to pray as much as possible a the harem due to proximity. You need to walk through a mall and spend a long time in multiple lifts to reach the ground floor from your room. This takes a long time during prayer times when everyone is coming down. Maybe 15 minutes.

Another note, major scholar such as Sh Uthaymeen do not agree you can join the harem jamat from prayer rooms far above the ground. Prayer at the mall is continuous with the harem saf.

Food was ok at best. I expected better.
