So much fun on a beautiful, warm day! The views of the falls really are unique from water level and you get a great sense of their majesty. On a Wednesday in late August, the crowds were light and it was easy to get a spot on the upper deck.

Must do at Niagara Falls! Takes you up close, really an amazing experience. Can be annoying if you are cluster phobic since theres a ton of people on the boat and can even be scary once you actually see how high the falls are but still worth it!
WOWEE!!! Go into the belly of the beast! 20-min ride takes you directly in front of Niagara Falls. You WILL get wet. You get a plastic poncho. Waterproof mascara a MUST. So much fun!!!
The ride was fabulous. Its an amazing experience with every penny that you spend. Recommend to travel on a weekday as it would less crowded . If you visit Niagara Falls, you have to do this!
One of the nicest thing happened to me and my family was to take boat ride right in to the great Niagara falls..guys if you are coming to see Niagara falls you must do this boat trip...my six year old son was just amazed.
This is a must do when in Niagara Falls! I can't imagine a better way to safely experience the grandeur and power of the falls. Lines move quickly and after a very short wait...you're on the boat and pulling away from the dock. That blue rain poncho they give you? Get in on as soon as you board the vessel, because you're going to be subjected to lots of spray! Having ridden the Maid of the Mist multiple times, my opinion is that the top deck affords the best view! So, enjoy this attraction and prepare for awe inspiring views and a deeper understanding of nature's power!
Today we lasted in the line to board the boat about 1 hour and 30min. We check that only one boat worked, maybe if they put another boat operational the time in the line would be less. It's the only bad thing to say, but the wait was worth it because the tour is a unique experience. The staff is super friendly, and they take care of the hiegene, the use of masks and distances from the visitors.
Right now because of the pandemic situation, the staff is going to separate the tourist in smaller groups to go into the boat. However you don't need to wait to much time to get into the ferry. Also I recommend that people come in with flip flops or something similar because you are definitely going to get wet. I recommend to bring a towel or a change of clothes in your bag too. Apart from that the experience is really funny and exciting.
Worth the price for the most up-close view of Niagara's Horseshoe Falls you can get from the bottom and from the American side, plus the observation tower and the Crow's Nest experience. The shear lower of the thundering water is amazing! The winds and mists blasting from the center of the falls are so powerful! And, the churn of the roiling waters creates waves strong enough to rock the boat and produce at least 4 foot waves!
Excellent.#DivineExperience#CloseToNature#purestofAll. When you visit please make sure you stay on right side of the boat on upper deck. View at Canadian side is much better
A great experience! Very well organized, so despite summer and holiday time, there are only a few waiting times. Children under the age of 6 are free, children barely $ 12, adults under $ 20. You get the blue rain ponchos, because you will definitely get wet! The whole trip takes about 20-30 minutes, you can use the Observation Tower before or after and has a great view from above, of course, while driving from the boat. At the horseshoe falls it is quite close ran, so you get the spray full and actually sees nothing more.
Worth every penny. The trip was 20 minutes long and was very amazing. Definitely there will be queue but by Discovery pass I went in quickly. They will provide the poncho and take you down of the observation tower in an elevator and there you will start your tour. The staffs were very co-operative and friendly. The boat will go first to the small falls and will stay for their for a minute to enjoy the bridal falls and they will start to main horseshoe falls. A fair warning, make sure your phone is water resistant and you're wearing shorts as your pants are very likely going to get soaked. You should aim to go top deck and stand near the very front or back railing of the boat to get the full experience. It's just awesome. You will feel like dream. The place is well maintained.
We were herded to the ship like cattle. Once the ride was over there was 1.5 hour wait in line going back up the elevators. I wouldn t go back again if they paid me let alone having to pay for the aggravation. Lots of discipline and order getting your money but nothing after you were of the boat. I am writing to the park service!!
The waiting is long! We got here at 8:30 AM and got into the first boat at around 10AM. It was about 125 people on the boat. If you come later, expect the waiting time to be 2-3hrs. And sometimes you need to be on the waiting list to be on the line. In comparison to Canadian operator, it was less than 50 people per boat with a lot of social distance. Overall, it was fun experience.
Maid of the mist is the best activity if you are planning to visit Niagara falls, one of the seven wonders of world. One will experience the massive falls, as the ferry approaches near to it. There is always a big queues for this natural site. You will be wet as you move close to it due to the heavy cold winds spreading water.
We have scene multiple rainbows formed at the site which was Spectacular. Take good care of your cell phones and camera. The ride is around $20 if you are taking a separate ticket and not taking a combo package called as discovery which costs 48$ for 5 destinations.
I drove 6 hours purchased ticket online. Stood in line for a long time. Boarded the boat as we boarded they stopped us and told us the top was full. The front was full so had a worthless view from the back we were so disappointed. The consulation I thought was going to be the observation tower....It was closed. While trying to shake the negative feelings of wasting my money I was enjoying the views from the walk way...When a fight broke out between Two women so I got to listen to them cuss and holler while the ranger and cops showed up. My daughter enjoyed the show. On the bottom back of the ship I didnt see the justification in the price of my tickets. I wish I had looked a little more in to it before booking so I had the idea in my head of not being on the top. This was what i thought was going to be the highlight of events on the trip. I was not prepared. I would give it a negative score for the bottom deck and the fight in front of my kid.
Let me be clear, the one star is not for the falls because they are undeniably spectacular and of course wonderful to see so close on the boat. I do recommend doing it but I cannot award more than one star for the company Maid of the Mist. The management was absolutely shambolic. Admittedly I went on what could have been the busiest day of the year, however, they continued to sell tickets when the line wasnt moving! We were being further compressed through the barricades and they continued to sell tickets. 2 hours in the blazing sun, no shade, no water or hat. 2 people were taken out by stretcher presumably caused by heat stroke. After all this a staff member meekly mentioned to a few standing near by that the elevator wasn't working. We could choose to wait for it to work or recieve a refund which would be given by again waiting in another line. I left and forfeited the $20
Awesome. Totally worth it. You will want to pay again for a second tour. First boat runs at 9am and last one at 8pm. Go for the first one in summers as the sun is milder and queues are shorter, but reach there around 8:30am to avoid all queues and walk straight in.
This a must do, on either side of the falls. Impressive up close look of the falls, you wont regret it. One tip: lines can get long so go early, and wear sandals!
This was a great experience! The staff was awesome! I wish I would have gotten everyone's names today to give them a shout out how great they were today. My mom is in a wheel chair , they helped us get into boat, were nothing but great towards her and the rest of my family, made sure she had a great area to see the falls, complimented her, wished her well, the whole 9 yards! We had a great time, with very little wait and easy, fun tour! Thanks to the tour and the staff!
Maid of the mist is an amazing boat ride in Niagara Falls at the USA side, really enjoyed it. For me and wife this boat ride is one of the best tour experience we have had in the recent times. It is a 30 minutes boat ride, huge boat with about 200 tourists travel in the river along the line of Niagara Falls. Raincoats are provided to avoid water falls spray drenching your clothes. In the USA side Mist of the Maid boat riders wear blue raincoats and in Canada side red raincoats. All visitors to Niagara Falls must take this boat ride
