This place is full of magic! A locally owned and operated butterfly conservatory with all kinds of amazing sights!

There are not only butterflies, but reptiles, amphibians, avians, and other insects to look at.

The main attraction though is the conservatory. Once you enter, you are surrounded by tropical plants and flowers, with hundreds upon hundreds of butterflies flittering about! This place is amazing for photos and learning about these beautiful creatures.

If you ever get the chance, I definitely recommend stopping by!

Since my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimers, we have always gone to magic wings with the kids and extended family. We have had birthday picnics for my mom and niece and have always had a great time - recommended it to everyone.

August 8th 2018 was my mom's birthday, 10 years since she passed, and my niece's 18th birthday. It was an exceptionally hot, 90+ degree weather day, so we opted to eat lunch at home prior to the 2 hour drive to magic wings. Since my niece is anaphylactic to many allergens and gluten free, we brought some cookies and a single cupcake to enjoy for her birthday.

Typically we eat outside, but my 91 year old father, who has leukemia, had to sit in the air conditioned room after going through the very hot butterfly conservatory. (The heat is extremely dangerous for his health). We were immediately approached by a very nice staff member who told us we could not have outside food and that she would ask permission from the manager since we also purchased ice cream and waters from their facilities.

All of the sudden, a very nasty woman (who we later learned was Kathy Fiore, the manager) barged into the room and refused to address the matter outside. Instead she proceeded to make a scene in front of my niece, father and other customers. In a very aggressive tone she accused us of being noncompliant.

In a huff, she said we had to move into a separate room. Her nasty tone made my niece cry and my father very upset. The day, initially intended to be a celebration and remembrance of my mother, was ruined.

I went to find out to find out the name of the owner to address this complaint. 10 minutes later, as we sat alone in the empty room, Kathy Fiore barged in to say that we had to leave. She did not let us address our feelings and instead verbally attacked my 91 year old father, my 18 year old niece, and myself.

We will never return to magic wings and perhaps her brother, the other owner, should be aware of her unprofessional and bully like demeanor. It was unnecessary especially considering we willing to follow the rules she dictated.

Is this how magic wings treats customers that have been coming for over 20 years?

Someone needs to get this place to where it was years ago. It's a shame that one owner is ruining the experience everyone.

A wonderful place to bring children. Captivating experience. The added benefit is the sense of an almost Zen relaxation immediately upon entering the butterfly domain. Plus the added attraction of a very nice cafeteria and the gift shop. I also have to say that the staff is just delightful. Will visit again and again.

Took my 10 mo old and she loved it. I was surprised at how much wildlife they had, other than all the different kinds of butterflies.
Also small cute cafeteria, and gift shop.

*Keep in mind, if bringing the little ones.* Absolutely NO touching the plants.. Apparently some of them make you itch...

Staff were friendly and very knowledgeable. The facility had multiple rooms with a large variety of specimens. My husband and I spent hours there, and each had multiple landings on us both! Beautiful and amazing place! A good sized gift shop is available and a small restaurant is on site to grab a quick bite or drink! We can't wait to go back!

Had such a lovely experience here with my partner. They are strict with their covid protocols but it s nice to know they are doing their best to keep everyone safe. Hands down one of the best things to do in Western Mass. Shout out to Lexi who took a picture of us and airdropped it to me! She was super helpful, along with the rest of the Magic Wings staff.

A little expensive for 2 adults, but this is much more than just butterflies. Attentive staff showing kids turtles and lizards, gift shop and food court included.

Great for kids, but a great date spot for young adults too.

This place is an amazing family stop I have enjoyed both as a kid and with my kids. It is interactive and immersive learning experience for all ages. Tho butterflies is the main attraction they have tortoises, bearded dragons, frogs, and some grouse in house.

So worth the price. Amazing to see such beautiful creatures up close. I didn't think it would be worth the costly ticket but my boyfriend bought them anyway and it turned out to be an amazing experience.

I went there, and it was pretty good, the food was amazing and the butterfly house was great, though the butterfly house is a bit too small for the amount of people that are in there at a time, I often found myself accidentally hitting people. Though the rest of it was amazing, that was my only complaint.
