Since my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimers, we have always gone to magic wings with the kids and extended family. We have had birthday picnics for my mom and niece and have always had a great time - recommended it to everyone.

August 8th 2018 was my mom's birthday, 10 years since she passed, and my niece's 18th birthday. It was an exceptionally hot, 90+ degree weather day, so we opted to eat lunch at home prior to the 2 hour drive to magic wings. Since my niece is anaphylactic to many allergens and gluten free, we brought some cookies and a single cupcake to enjoy for her birthday.

Typically we eat outside, but my 91 year old father, who has leukemia, had to sit in the air conditioned room after going through the very hot butterfly conservatory. (The heat is extremely dangerous for his health). We were immediately approached by a very nice staff member who told us we could not have outside food and that she would ask permission from the manager since we also purchased ice cream and waters from their facilities.

All of the sudden, a very nasty woman (who we later learned was Kathy Fiore, the manager) barged into the room and refused to address the matter outside. Instead she proceeded to make a scene in front of my niece, father and other customers. In a very aggressive tone she accused us of being noncompliant.

In a huff, she said we had to move into a separate room. Her nasty tone made my niece cry and my father very upset. The day, initially intended to be a celebration and remembrance of my mother, was ruined.

I went to find out to find out the name of the owner to address this complaint. 10 minutes later, as we sat alone in the empty room, Kathy Fiore barged in to say that we had to leave. She did not let us address our feelings and instead verbally attacked my 91 year old father, my 18 year old niece, and myself.

We will never return to magic wings and perhaps her brother, the other owner, should be aware of her unprofessional and bully like demeanor. It was unnecessary especially considering we willing to follow the rules she dictated.

Is this how magic wings treats customers that have been coming for over 20 years?

Someone needs to get this place to where it was years ago. It's a shame that one owner is ruining the experience everyone.
