The trout dish was well worth the visit. I tried a bit of the flounder dish from my companion and also was very good. We enjoyed the atmosphere. My only suggestion is that when there is live music on stage they should turn off the radio, or play the same audio, otherwise it meshes the music into a horrible sound which detracts from what would otherwise be a pleasant eating experience.

This was one of the first new places my fiance and I tried after moving to our new home in Woodstock a several months ago. I have to admit, the choice was my finace's and I was a bit weary to try it. I am happy to say, it more than exceeded our expectations and now, it is one of our favorite local places to bring friends! The food was excellent and the service was great --especially when you compare it to some of the other options in downtown Woodstock that seem to have taken a hit in quality (I'm looking at you Freight).

What an amazing place to have right in Downtown Woodstock! You absolutely cannot find anything like this outside of Atlanta. Now, there is no reason to have to go all the way into the city to find live music, great beats, great eats and cool drinks!! From the deliciously tasty food at MadLife Grill to the incredibly talented bands that cross the MadLife Stage to a state-of-the art recording studios, there is absolutely nothing else like this around!! MadLife encompasses all of this and more!! I guarantee, MadLife Stage & Studios will become your new favorite hangout joint!!

Very nice outside patio with stage to listen to the live band. No cover charge for listening to the band. Food and adult beverage was good. A tad bit higher prices on food and drinks but I believe it was worth it because of the nice atmosphere. They have the ability to close the roof on the patio in case of rain, which came in handy for us. This was our first time visiting, we came because we knew the band. We aren't from Woodstock, but if in the area again, we will be stopping by.

We enjoyed our first visit to MadLife on Sunday. We had the "Watermelon Stack" for an appetizer which was excellent. We took the photo after I had taken a bite. It looked so good I couldn't wait. The "Chee Bugga", "Asian Chicken Salad" and "Street Tacos" were very good. Service was great as well. Prices were comparable for the area.

Great entertainment, food, service and drinks. It is a very refreshing location for young and wiser in age. When I was there, only valet parking was available in the location parking lot, but it did not deter us from enjoying the night. We simply found another location to park and enjoyed the short walk.

We've been here on a few occasions, would recommend making reservations via their website as seating for dining is limited. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food is reasonably priced and good sized in portion. While not a huge menu it does provide a variety, mostly southern pub esque with some entrees trending towards upscale.. for instance fried chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans.. pretty standard stuff, right?
But the chicken was juicy, the breading just thick enough to be light and crispy while satisfying. Mashed potatoes with texture and flavor and the beans with a light garlicy sauce..all drizzled with a little bit of spicy honey sauce. Altogether, delicious.
The only detractor is it's quite loud at peak times, but it's generally a crowd drinking and dining before seeing live entertainment, if you go with that in mind, shouldn't be an issue.

Concert venue is very nice. Not a bad seat in the house. Intimate. Food is good, with a wide selection. Live music on the patio weekends is a real bonus. It's great to have live music available again. Get your tickets early.

I have had a better experience from Mad Life before this issue. Me and my girlfriend went to dinner on a Sunday, not that busy. We used a groupon with George our sever and with his attitude, you would of thought that was the worst thing in the world we could have done. George was an older gentleman and it just seemed he was out of his element , as a sever. We will not be back.

This place has a lot of potential. The atmosphere could be great, but when the music in the kitchen is as loud as the music in the dining room, it really creates an acoustic nightmare that shouldn't be happening at a venue, a studio or a restaurant.
Having been a server, I understand every table is going to get a slightly different experience. That being said, our waitress forgot to put in our appetizer, and told me they were out of something (mustard) and then gave it to me a few minutes later, after another employee was able to find it.
The food was OK. I got the burger which had very little flavor and no signature topping. The whole leaf of lettuce given as a topping was odd. The fried green tomatoes appetizer were not good at all, sadly.
I'd love to come back for a show and a cocktail but probably not food.

It was a bit crowded, also was promised an acoustic show, and left half deaf. The food and service was excellent. Just don't tell everyone it will be an acoustic event and they get an experience that was too loud to enjoy.

This post is only about food side. Chef is amazing and likely underappreciated. I realize that young folks probably just was to grab a bite before the show but the Chef and his creations are worthy of a really nice classy restaurant!

I've been meaning to check this place out for a while as I've heard good things. We had the first cool day of the Fall here and they've got a nice patio so I decided to grab lunch. It was a bit after 2:00 and they only had their brunch menu available, but that did have a burger and pulled pork on it.

Our server was friendly and helpful, but the service was slow.

We started with some fried green tomatoes which were a bit under cooked, but still tasty. I got the burger and my friend got an omelette and side of bacon. They asked how I wanted my burger, I said medium.

Burger was rock hard well-done and shaped like a charcoal briquette, it sat awkwardly on a massive, stale bun. Bacon was way overcooked (not crispy, just hard) and the fries were cold.

My friend's omelette was overcooked and had that brown skin on it, his bacon was also rock solid and had an odd texture on one side, not sure how to describe it.

Overall, everything we tried was not prepared well. For a $13 burger I would expect it to be excellent.

Based on reviews I had higher expectations and will probably not return. The quality of the food definitely did not match the prices.

Excellent venue with excellent staff. The first time I went (about a year ago), we were near the stage and it was a great experience. The food was pretty good. Second time (last night) was not so pleasant. We were on the balcony and it was so cold up there that our (lukewarm on arrival) food was COLD within minutes. It was so dark on the balcony we couldn t see to read the menu, let alone eat. I ll go back for sure, but I won t go back hungry. The food was severely overpriced for the mediocrity it brought to the table.

I went on a date night. Food was alright . There really isn't anything for veg heads or vegans . Also to actually get our food took forever and our waitress was actually very rude. On top of that it was loud and we got double charged for my girlfriends martini. We will never go back here again...
