Inexpensive but delicious. However, if you are trying to call your order in to decrease your wait time in the restaurant, they will connect you to their fax machine. Very childish and aggravating.

Ordered a small buffalo rib dinner , not sure if the fish was buffalo. Definitely not ribs. A bunch of tails and small bones and pieces. Will never order that again. Sides were ok.

I've heard of this place from many people and it wasn't a let down the catfish was hot and fresh the staff friendly and professional.

Good variety of fresh fish and other sea food, good price on most of items.

The portions are perfect, the price is a little high, but that's understandable with the amount of food you can get. The food is well seasoned and cooked all the way through!

It's a small place but everything else was wonderful and the food was appreciated just the way I asked see you when I get back.

Catfish and shrimp. Just try it. You won't be disappointed. I like it better than city fish down the road.

This place is off the chain...such a big selection of fish for the Midwest,but cooked well also.

That catfish sandwich was fall apart tender! The service was impeccable. The ambience delightful and fun. They also sell fresh fish and their own breading mix. Affordable and friendly. We're already planning our next visit!

I called in 1 1/2 lbs of walley and picked it up on my lunch break. Got back to find the nastiest catfish I have ever gotten from there! Catfish is what I usually get and I couldn't even eat it.I have had frozen fish sticks that were WAY better. No time to take it back. :-( It's a shame too, because usually they are the best. If it was my first experience with them I would never go back. Better get it together Mad Jack's.

Mad Jack's is a Kansas City Kansas institution! I absolutely love this place. It is casual but clean and spiffy. The counter clerk hollers your order back to the cooks. Old school. The fish is great. I get mine double dipped and O have not ever had any fish crispier. The sides are all good. The fresh seafood is fresh and the guys on that side of the room know their stuff as well. A few years ago I was injured and the woman carried my food to my car for me. It is that kind of spirit that they have there. Good food, good staff, clean affordable. Dont miss it.

Visiting Kansas City Kansas not much to do downtown but this was a good meal.

First time in. Tried the catfish snack, fries, bread and drink. Very very good fish! Fries good too. Bought 2lbs of jumbo shrimp @12.99 lbs. Think they have a great taste going. Get the place cleaned up and improve the atmosphere. Take down broken picture on wall, hang a new clean ceiling, paint walls would go a long way. Hope to see you endure.

Jumbo shrimp.. half fried half boiled .. potatoe wedges and slice of lemon cake for the win!!

This was my first visit. My fried catfish was perfectly fried and perfectly seasoned. Friendly staff and speedy service. I will recommend to my friends and family and I will be making another trip back soon.

The food is good the fresh fish in the store do not make the store stink bad and the employees are very polite and the owner is just as nice

The fish was on the salty side and I like a lot of salt so beware

It was good but I didn't know that they cut the frog legs giving you four legs and not the whole thing that was expensive for just for legs and not the whole ones $8.99 I'll pass on that and cook my own.

We tried madjacks for the first time. We got the shrimp which was amazing but also was able to try samples of the catfish. Next time we will be ordering a larger order of catfish because it was unbelievable! We did try the hush puppies and they seemed small and over cooked for our taste. Other than that everything else we had was absolutely delicious!

Ok spot for quality seafood. Everyone at our table was very satisfied. I've had nothing but great experiences here and will keep coming back.

The food was wonderful! The fried fish and shrimp tasted fresh and very flavorful. The breading on both items was perfect and not greasy at all. Everything on our plates were made fresh and definitely worth the drive out of the way. We will definitely be returning to try the other items on the menu!

Best tasting fish I have had in a long time. Portions are good, price good, and deserts are good, pricey but good.

Everything was good!! They have great daily deals that aren't expensive and the food is good. Be prepared to wait because everything is made to order. That's their guarantee on fresh fish.

Mad Jacks always has good fresh fish. Their coleslaw and potato salad are always good too. Really enjoy when I get a chance to be in that area.

First time trying this place, always passed it and within walking distance. Tried the ocean perch and some sides, now I'll never take the long drive to long john silvers with this place meeting my seafood needs.

Love their food. Always have. Location and parking isn't the best and also not a great option for dining in as starting is limited. Great for carry out though

Best fried fish place I've found since moving to KC. I always get the D.C.T with badass and it's enough to feed 3 people or 2 with leftovers. All the sides I've had have been great also.

Has the best fish in town! Basa is my favorite and red snapper.
