Excellent customer service and the food is like Grandma and ya aunties made it
Come here! No other place in town that will cook you a home made fish or seafood dinner.
Very clean prices are great... lot better then the one on Trips in LC mo
Love Mad Jacks! They have the best food, the service is good too, I will be back! Great job crew!
decent food love the taste but I was hoping to find a Mad Jack but its ok maybe next time!
Best fried gisj in KC, I had a Catfish dinner and loved it.
Always a favorite of mine. Delicious Basa. They also have a fresh market.
THE BEST FISHING I EVER EATING KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!
The fish was overcooked and the cashier was very rude.
Lots of fresh fish and seafood choices and side dishes to eat in or carry out. They also have desserts.
Today it was good. Sometimes it is salty. I had backed off but tried it today and it was good.
The catfish strips are really awesome. I recommend anyone to try them at least once and I promise you that you will love them.
Everything was cooked to perfection & hot and fresh got to love Kansas on world famous Mad Jacks
Really good fried food and generous portions. Tried a variety of orders... catfish, chicken strips, shrimp, fried okra and more... Everything was delicious!
Went in there for a postmates and saw they had gumbo so decided I would give it a try was extremely happy with and and have found a new place to get gumbo my only issue with it is the bread they serve with it which did not hold up to the soup fix the bread and it be 5 stars
This is not a review of the food itself, but the service I have received. This is the second bad experience I have had with Charlie D's. The first experience. I arrived at Charlie D's right at 11:00am. I entered the building thinking I was going to place an order. Well there was a lady at the cash register counting money and instead of greeting me. She asked me, "How did you get in here?". I was a little puzzled, as I look back at the door. I told her through the door (I thought it was a trick question). She then informed me they were not opened yet (with less than a friendly tone), so I proceeded to leave out magic door I walked in, at this point she and another employee informed me it was ok. I could stay. I choose not to because now I don't feel like a properly greeted paying customer. I understand if you need to count your drawer, but someone in the inside unlocked the door, not me and it should have been open if you open at 11:00am. We need more professionalism people
one of the best sea food restaurants I've gone to in Kansas city
They cooked the fish I wanted, and did not try to give me something else insted
A true dive and hidden gem! If you like fried catfish you got to stop by!!
The people were awesome! Service was quick and selection and prices were great.
They we're crowded but they got my order ready really fast and it was hot and it was fresh.
They know what they're doing... portions and food quality are excellent. I'll happily drive an hr round trip just to come get my fried fish cravings satisfied.
Let me start by saying the food is very good with quick service and the staff is very friendly.
Amazing food and good people. Red snapper is my favorite but everything I've tried is great!
Best fish in Kansas City. Don't forget the Lemon Pound Cake. We need one in KCMO.
It's ok service is quick catfish strips was to salty
Nice place to eat. They keep it clean and the always aim to help.
The fish was served nugget size, breaded and deep-fat fried. It tasted pretty good. The coleslaw was bland and fatty. French fries were OK. I noticed newspaper articles on the wall, went over to look at it, figuring it was positive press about the restaurant, but instead it was an article about how there was a person that held up one of the employees at gun point. This was a great story about the employee, but did not give me a good feeling about the part of town the place was located in. Finally, while waiting for my food, one of the employees picked up some shrimp with his bare hands out of the glass case, placed it on a scale, when one of the shrimps fell on the floor. When he was finished weighing the shrimp, he picked up the shrimp that was on the floor and put it back with the shrimp that was in the case. That really spoiled my meal.
Employees were nice and portion size was comparable with the money spent
OMG!OMG! The jumbo fried shrimp! The fish perfectly cooked. Hands down a neighborhood favorite!
Always good food with a neighborhood friendly atmosphere.
Food was fresh however, workers are not WEARING THEIR MASKS properly and/or at all. We are still fighting COVID!!!
Hush puppies and fish was great. Mac and cheese......yuck.
It's not the best place but you find all fresh mariscon
The place to go for fried catfish. It's a small place with about four small booths. Most of the time they are taken by customers waiting for their food order to go or their fresh seafood order to be put together. Don't expect to be greeted with a smile and a, how are you today. Know what you want before you're asked. There is always a line when I go. The parking lot is chaotic, especially around Lent. I recommend calling in your order.
This was a place my dad is taking me since I was a kid it is still great food and the lowest prices on fresh seafood that I have ever seen
Fish is always cooked perfectly and they give you lots for your money!
