I dont know why they offer to let you choose deliv...

I dont know why they offer to let you choose delivery date when they have no intention of keeping it.
If you want your gift to arrive on time, do NOT buy from here.
I requested a delivery on 12/19 and when 12/18 came I emailed asking the status. I was told I would recieve my tracking info that night but shipping is delayed. If shipping is delayed why dont you ship earlier???
I recieved my tacking info that night but after tracking it I saw FedEx wasnt in possession of the package until the day I asked it to be delivered.
On top of that, I asked to cancel and was told no, I have to refuse the package, even though it hadnt shipped yet. So what do I do then, do I call the recipieent and tell them to refuse a gift shipment? This place is beyond unprofessional. I wish I could post 0 stars

*UPDATE*
Apparantly after leaving a one star review, they figured out how to recal a package. Thats just sad that when I call them they can't do that, but leave a review and its miraculously possible. Stay away from this company at all costs!

*Update 2*
After saying I would recieve a refund, they never sent it. These people are crooks! I had to go to my bank to try and get the money back. Avoid these theives!

I was very disappointed in their packaging and delivery, as well as with the customer service I received.
I sent a very nice gift box of nuts, candy, popcorn, with an additional gift box of Wine, cheese, and fruit to a friend as a housewarming gift. Unfortunately, when they received it, the entire package was very warm. Although the wine, cheese, and fruit were suppose to be wrapped in a cool wrap with ice packs, there was only one small ice pack keeping the wine, cheese, and fruit cold. It really wasn't enough to keep it cold since it was being shipped from New Jersey all the way to Idaho.
Although nothing was damaged I can't help but wonder if the wine and fruit are still edible. When I spoke to the customer service person, they said they could not do anything about it since there was no damage. It wasn't until the very end of our conversation that I received a very simple "I'm sorry". The impression I received was they were not concerned.
I feel so bad for my friends, they won't be able to enjoy the entire package.
I will never order from this company again!

I waited 35 mins for the store to open Christmas Eve. The hours posted were 8-8 on the door however at 8:35 the store was still not open and they did not have any holiday hours posted on the door. When I arrive back at 2:30 I asked what time they opened and was told 9:15 ish. I then asked for a basket and they did not have it ready. The employee had a hand written sheet with quantity s and could not assist me with a basket in my price range. I finally found one that fit my requirements but never did receive any sort of apology for having to come back. If you have posted hours you should follow them.

I had a bad experience just now. In my opinion their service is terrible, but that may not apply to everyone. I ordered about $450 worth of baskets (4 bella italia vino wine gift basket). One of them was shipped to my office because I wanted to personally hand one of my clients the basket and the other three were shipped to different clients personal addresses. When I received the package it was an entirely different basket. it was 3 completely different cheaper wines instead of 4 nicer wines I had though I purchased. At this point I was worried about the ones that shipped already! The basket i personally gave I had to give because he was leaving back to Florida so I couldnt exchange it. I called customer service talked for a bit and they said "we have no clue what shipped. we had 10,000 orders" blah blah blah and an the end they offered me 5$ back and they wanted to call my clients to see what baskets they got! what a joke. All I asked for was another basket or 3 more bottles to some how even it out and they refused to. Such bad business. over all i received 5$ back and possibly 3 other wrong baskets. I HOPE MY CLIENTS DONT THINK IM CHEAP lol over all Capalbo's takes no responsibility. Im literally a paying customer (450$ spent) and they couldnt even send me like 1 extra bottle to shut me up. Well, that was my experience and like I said this may not apply to everyone.

The baskets were very nicely put together. It was definitely exactly what I expected. They can be used for many different occasions. Nice variety too. And if that's not enough, they have Kathy at the Clinton location who was truly wonderful. She was so very helpful and nice. She definitely made the experience very welcoming and enjoyable. I will absolutely recommend this place to all my friends and family! Thank you!!

Tried to call my order in for 12 baskets. Customer service was rude and acted like I was annoying them. I asked when they would be delivered and they could not give me a date. Eventually I was told I had to go to the website and order online - she refused to answer basic questions so I moved on to another company. Poor customer service.

I sent a gift basket to a grieving mother, my best friend for loss of her child. Basket was delivered to wrong house. Person contacted Capabalo's and told them and that it was left in rain and damaged. It managed to make it to my friend eventually. I called to see what they were going to do and was told my grieving friend would have to call and make the complaint. Mind you , I paid for it, they contacted me that it was reported damaged by the party who received it by mistake. The last thing my poor friend has on her mind is calling personally about a sympathy basket. Wow, really? The woman I spoke to was very nice but was adamant that was the policy. They need a new policy because that is just poor customer service. I should have been offered a partial credit or an apology basket should have been sent.

Received a chocolate basket as a gift from a relative. Some of the chocolates were discolored. I contacted Capalbo's and spoke to a very courteous and helpful representative. The next day I received some replacement chocolates. I was very satisfied with the company and its actions.

I rarely write a review, but for this site, I am. I ordered a gift basket on Friday, April 16th with a ship date of Wednesday, April 21st for a surprise birthday gift. Instead of receiving the basket, the recipient received notice that it would not be there until April 22nd. Even with the possible delays of the Pandemic, six days from ordering to desired delivery date from NJ to OH should have been sufficient. Buyer Beware!

What an awful experience and so sad to see a company which formerly had a good reputation fall so low. Thing they were a good reliable company from many years ago, we entrusted our order for a special situation in sending a sympathy basket. They first promised Monday from a Saturday order, when it didn't arrive by Tuesday, we called and were told Wednesday. On Wednesday it did not arrive and upon calling were told maybe Thursday evening. Totally unacceptable. And the attitude from customer service indicated that they could not care less.

I don't understand why there are any bad reviews at all and I would give Capalbo's 6 stars if possible. I ordered a basket from Canada to be delivered to my friends in the US. Capalbo's shipped it out on time but it took FEDEX 3 days to deliver, and then say that they left the package at the front door, when what really happened was the driver told the recipients, who were outside at the time, that he has a delivery for their address, but he had nothing in the truck so he left. I let Capalbo's know what had happened as an FYI and they took the initiative and sent a replacement and it arrived within 24 hours. This was not their fault nor has FedEx even replied back to me yet on my complaints. I would order again gladly, as ever since I had an initial problem submitting an international order they have been nothing but kind, professional and went above and beyond by providing me with the best customer service I have received in years !! And the replacement treats were delicious and very nicely displayed.

I received a gift basket with wine. Either there was something wrong with it & the wine went bad or it is just terrible wine. I did not open the wine right away, but when I did, I contacted them for a replacement. My friend spent a lot of money and knew my dad was very sick so she wanted to send me something. They won t help me because I didn t open it in their 14-day return window, which I personally think is ridiculous for wine. Customer service was rude and unhelpful. I agree with the previous reviewer - NO COMPASSION.

This was the worse experience. It literally took me several days of trying to get my 2 orders placed. They told me neither of my orders went through and so I should reorder, which I did. In the end all orders went out twice and they charged my credit card for it all. Adrian was no help, he was rude. Finally he said that he would cancel all orders and he would credit me back my money however double orders were all shipped out and to date, no refund. I would NEVER use this company or recommend them.

Terrible! Bought for a friend's mom after his passing. Was NEVER delivered. Emailed the company, so rude and condescending. Finally I called. They said the person would have to go pick it up. Then they said when they received the basket back they would refund minus the shipping back cost. So I'm essentially paying for a headache. The "Manager" was incredibly rude and unsympathetic. Don't waste your time or money.

Costumer service was awful. I received a gift basket for my birthday. While it was a wonderful sentiment from a family member. The gift contained chocolate that had melted and then harden again. No big deal I thought. But it also contained tree nuts. I have a toddler with a severe nut allergy. I tried calling them since they had a 100% satisfaction guarantee and asked if I could return it and was told I would have to pay for shipping. I tried explaining that I was a single mom and can t work because of COVID. I have no extra money to ship something back. The costumer service rep was cold and told me to just donate it. Like problem solved.

I then told her I spent a whole night in the ER because my child barely touched one of the candies. I m just exhausted. Not satisfied at all. Someone who doesn t have that much money either spent their hard earn money on this and I am simply asking for them to be refunded. And show some compassion. I can t pay the shipping fee and am just asking that they send me a label. Simple compassion.

All I have to say is this place is horrible. I m in tears. They don t care about making something right. They are only looking to get the one time costumer and be done. I am in shook by how rude they are.

I ordered a Mother s Day basket for 2019 . The basket was not delivered until a day after Mother s Day . I feel the quality control is lacking with this company . I have ordered many times with a similar named company , never had a delivery problem . The product is nice , but if you want to make sure it gets delivered on time , well that s questionable! I was not only embarrassed, but frustrated that my mother had no Mother s Day present . I placed the order over a week in advanced . So to wrap this review up , I would say nice gift basket but very unreliable delivery !

This is the first time I have used this company and I ordered a wine basket as a gift. I was so satisfied with the service, the customer support, fast shipping and person receiving the wine basket called me and told me how delighted she was with the basket and said it was beautifully presented , wrapped, etc.. I am very satisfied, and highly recommend this company. I will be using this company in the future.
