We have used m22 since moving to the area, as it was the only internet option available. Aside from a few months of reasonable service, we have had nothing but problems. Network latentcy is often horrendous, with ping times often exceeding 1-2 seconds. Network is frequently unavailble, unresolvable dns, or just generally unavailable. Customer support is non existent. Techs do not show up. They do rarely, if ever, answer the phone. Outage reports go unanswered. Expect response times in excess of a month, if you need any assistance. This is a company that lives off of their status as being the only option available. They do not care about their customers or the level of service they provide. Not recommended.

You need to purchase expensive equipment upfront, pay a comparatively expensive monthly fee, and will not get the even half the speed advertised. Also, good luck getting in contact with customer service and when you do, they are rude. I know options in the area are limited, but you don't want this!!! I pay $89.99/month for speeds of 15mbps, but rarely reach a speed of 5mbps. During high usage times, I often will have speeds of 1mbps or lower.

Took forever to get calls back. Then wanted us to pay $400 out of pocket for some kind of equipment so they could service us and others. Plus the installation fee and the monthly bill. They lost at least one customer if not more over a $400 piece of equipment. It was heartbreaking cause we had heard good things about the company.

First there are not any similar options so any rating is kind of moot. If you were to compare them against cable they would be a one star. If you were to compare them to the alternatives available at my address - satellite, cell service or dial up then they would be a 4 star. It is expensive , but less costly than a similar amount of data via cell service. I have used a SIM card in a cellular router and the performance was similar but had limited data. VOIP does not work and speeds are below advertised - but you can stream 2-3 devices. It is much faster than dial-up. Service can be spotty and support is okay. Uptime is generally okay unless you are doing business work and need a high level of availability. When I have really had a problem they have responded reasonably well. So the minute I have a better alternative, I will switch. For now it beats the alternatives that I have - which are essentially zero.
