We stayed here in October 2019 for 4 nights, our flights were delayed so when we arrived at check in. We got upgraded to the tower suite. The hotel and staff are just amazing. Everyone was so pleasant to deal with. The food area was great and so handy and very generous with their portions.
Staying here for the first time. I'm still here but I regret it. AC dont work well and it's hot, the tv reception is terrible. This place sucks. I'm already paid so I will stay here but this is the last time.
We had a suite, it was nice, clean and spacious. I would recommend this hotel to someone who is looking to party on a mild budget, the music by the pool was very loud, but seemed fun if that's the experience you were after. The sofas in the lobby seemed a bit stale, and the carpet was a bit sad. However it wasn't an unpleasant experience, I'm just not rushing to go back.
We had a great time, good food and drinks. Not to mention we won some money!
A must visit resort. The aesthetics is really awesome. The rooms and lighting seems a little old. Don't know about the service hope it's upto the mark
Very cool elevator ride and neat but I love Egyptian anything! And a great place to get married I did back in 07.
Love it here! I stay here numerous times a year. The atmosphere is fun and the people are very nice and helpful. I have stayed at almost every MGM Hotel and the Luxor has become my favorite.
Didn't stay there this trip, but the inside is awesome. Wandered around taking pictures to research the layout for a novel.
The Luxor is nice and clean, doesn't smell like an ashtray. Can't wait to come back and see the blue man group in their newest home.
I'm loving my stay my suite is beautiful, the best casino games, and the buffet is wonderful..also the drinks in the buffet bar are stiff lol.
I stayed at this hotel and loved it. I know it is on the south part of the Strip but there are buses all the time. I was surprised to know the elevators in the pyramid are inclinators :) cool right? The hotel holds a lot of shows. I loved the bar Aurora, I had a very nice Margarita. Accommodations are nice. Ahh something really nice from them. I got to the hotel at 8am, the check in was supposed to be in the afternoon but they gave me a hotel room available at the moment.
Nice big rooms..near everything even during covid..
Has access to both Mandalay Bay and Excalibur.
Not too crowded. Good selection of gambling
Really cool building, we came here for the Tram and the Casino. It was super cool and the facilities are sweet. Highly recommend checking this place out! This review is for the casino only by the way.
I was sadden to see how run down it was becoming..rust around the sink, toilet, and tub. The Service was wonderful. BUT watch out for the $200 resort fee and $200 security fee.
The comfiest beds... rooms are spacious and sleek. Staff is doing a great job with COVID prevention measures. Also, the 70oz marg in the Luxor Cup is the BEST.
Hyper X Arena for the LVL Up Expo after party was amazing! I had a amazing time and would go again!
The hotel was nice and all but Hospitality wasn't great. People who worked there were pretty rude. The rooms were okay though. Pretty clean. The bed was comfy too. But the over process of checking in and checking out was horrible.
Great space with big casino and so many options for everyone.
Great rooms and clean. Love the location to other casinos.
They never answered me, I don't know if it was due to the time, if they weren't on duty
I ve stayed in many of the hotels on the strip and will say I used to enjoy Luxor quite a bit but my recent experiences have made me like it less and less. Recently when making my reservation I was told that there were many rooms with a strip view and I shouldn t have a problem receiving one. When on the phone with the rep I asked if there was oversized parking since I was needing a larger parking spot and she advised me there was. I arrived to the hotel to find out there was no oversized parking. I had to drive back up to North Las Vegas to park at a lot with oversized parking. That delayed me about an hour. Once back to the hotel I went to check in and the representative didn t greet us he asked for my ID right away. I gave my ID and and he didn t say one word and I asked is there any rooms with a strip view by any chance? His response was, You re not getting a room with a view! My wife immediately gave me a look like did he just answer you like that? I asked if there were any rooms with views and that I would pay extra if needed and he immediately cut me off and said, Your room is in the West tower have a good day! Didn t even let me ask for anything he was rude and didn t represent Luxor well at all. I will say after this trip we are definitely not going to stay at the Luxor anymore. There are better hotels on the strip with way better service!
Tender Steakhouse has scrumptious cuisine! The menu isn't pages and pages long, but what they do have will make your mouth water! They cover all bases such as: scallops, steaks, bison, lobster, lamb, chicken and a few others. The desserts are heavenly My favorite is the Oreo cheesecake! All of their servers have been there for years. My favorite is Jesse. He is very attentive, professional and smiles! He knows everything about the menu and if on that rare occasion you stump him, he'll find out quickly. We go to Tender Steakhouse every time we go to Las Vegas which is about 3 times a year.
In need of renovation, pool lounge chairs were disgusting
Luxor is one of my favorites! Affordably priced and a great atmosphere. We loved the pool area and rooms were very cozy. The amenities in room were limited, but this place is well worth your stay.
The Luxor was fun but the experience was a little rough and the edges. Our room was very nice but there were some cleanliness issues including used dental floss on the floor when we arrived and we needed to clean the bathtub before my kids could get cleaned up. Highs: we stayed in a tower and the views were amazing, comfy beds/pillows, nice decor, and the Blizz shop on the casino floor made an amazing chocolate peanut butter milkshake. Lows: no fridge in room, dirty bathtub, unclean floor, corroded bath fixtures. Overall, cool but wish it was a bit better.
Went to visit the shops at mandalay bay and walked over to here. The decor is very cool. Looking forward to going back when things go back to normal. Food court was open. There was a line to check in. People playing slots in the casino area.
Be sure to go upstairs and enjoy the mezzanine level. Spectacular!
Great value and nice clean rooms. Its a bit outside the strip but close enough to walk. The pool was a bit of a let down its only 3 ft deep and shows its age.
Friendly and helpful staff, 2 queen beds in a large room and cleaned every day. Nothing fancy but only used for s eeping and showering. Exhibits around the hotel though, is "wow!"
Nice view but room smelled of smoke. They need more front desk agents and bell hops (lines took forever). Front desk agents were less than helpful with my checkin issues. Waitresses were slow at the machines. Overall, a 'meh' experience.
The vegetarian and vegan choices are limited. I did not enjoy the food choices they was not many items to chose from. The mashed potatoes looked like soup. The food was not fresh and for $27 I was not happy. I will never go back again. What a waste of money. Not a good place to eat.
Spent our honeymoon here! Beautiful room on the 28th floor with a jacuzzi the view was amazing from up there! Beautiful sunrise and spectacular sunsets!
Nothing but great excellent service and so close to all the happenings in the area and what a unique one of a kind hotel.thanks guys.
Terrible. Stayed 2 nights in which 2 of the 4 elevators were out of service to our tower. Caused hugeeee delays getting to and from our floor. They were getting fixed the day we were checking out but it didn t seem like an urgent issue to the hotel. Also, our room smelled strongly of chemicals. Clearly this was a smoking room which they sprayed to try to mask it but the smell gave us all bad head aches.
Pyramid architecture is awesome, layout of casino and building is not ideal. Nice exhibits and shows in house, food was really good at multiple locations. Rooms are nothing special but reasonable.
Great Property very clean and the staff are very friendly.
Room was dirty upon arrival so they moved us due to covid the things they had offered on the phone were not available when we arrived as they said on the phone would be some staff where very rude
I am going to review this hotel purely as a hotel and not as a casino since neither I or my partner gamble at all. I don't understand why this hotel isn't rated higher. I have stayed at this hotel twice now before I moved to Vegas, and I have to say I have had great experiences both times! The last time I stayed here was last year in October. We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms.
Nice rooms. Had a very good time. Many slot machines to play.
The staff was very accommodating and helpful. The room was neat.
Unfortunately, no fridge, microwave or coffee maker on top of no food services.
Good place to stay nice clean rooms. Rooms don't stink would recommend this place has plenty of spots to eat they have a food court on the top floor. The only thing is that the hotel is not right on the strip but its not bad of a walk
Stayed here last time but only visited this time to show my daughter around and go to the awesome titanic exhibit inside of there. The amazing detail they put in to these mlife themed hotel from building construction to decoration always amaze me!
Nice place but no refrigerator or microwave in the room. That is a deal breaker in 2020.
Rooms were great. Service was great. Buffet leaves a little to be desired. Otherwise loved it.
Did not win at all ! I won other places. I had 3 hundred in free play with the M card and did not get one Bonus. It's sad I was really looking forward to seeing this place again
It's a fun place to stay. The Pyramid is really quite complicated architecture. You can go up to the 27th floor and look down into the centre: it feels really dizzy. The elevators do not go up vertically, they go slantingly, moving with the pyramid as it were. Only thing missing was coffee in the room. There's a food court as well and very helpful staff.
The Luxor is quite simply a staple of the Las Vegas skyline. It's definitely not as famous or as well known as some of the casinos and hotels in the area, however I believe it's almost on par with the best of them. The interior is massive and the amenities vary greatly. I went during COVID so the shows were, of course, closed. One cool feature is the sky bridge connecting both Mandalay Bay and Excalibur to the Luxor so you don't even have to go outside. The casino portion is probably the least busy for a hotel of this caliber in a city like this. The food and bars are vegas expensive so be prepared for that, although I doubt you're staying here if you can't afford it. On the note of affordability, the room was not as expensive as I had thought it would be. Close to 300 for 4 nights (some of which I'm sure I was refunded for having left the place in good condition). The hotel and casino certainly are grand (they say you can see the roof spotlight from space) but it also certainly has some improvements it could make. For example, the 1B elevators were a disaster. It was like reentering the atmosphere in those things, and sometimes the doors wouldn't open all the way and try to close on you when you were sliding through the crack in them. Otherwise, one of the best hotel and casino experiences I've had the privilege of having!
P.S.) the food court area plays "Johnny B Goode by Chuck Berry on repeat. All hours of the day and night. You can hear it echo through the hotel. It still haunts my dreams.
Renewed our vows this trip and stayed in a suite for a week. SUPER clean. Loved every second of it. Had to have a pool day even though we have a pool at home
The Luxor was good. The biggest issue is the long walk from the room to the parking deck. The food is way over priced at the food court and the buffet. The breakfast buffet had limited food choices for the 20.00 price, and the food was not great. The handicap accessible room with the roll in shower was great to maneuver around. The shower curtain needs to be lowered to keep the water from going all over the bathroom floor and the seat needs to be a little higher and straight, not at an angle.
Ben going there over 20 years every thing get better and fun clean great staff grant serves all personal fabulous what to go back nest week again loved it great suits very in Gorgeous rooms wow enjoy your stay.
The best long island ice tea ever!!!
It is a beautiful hotel and casino. I lost 40 bucks but had fun doing it!!
One of the best stay Ive ever had.good quality service and food was just yummy. great rooms and close to everything
I love staying @ The Luxor it is very nice and clean. The Towers are best to me and my family and the staff from check-in to check-out were so pleasant. We need more of this in the world Today. Thanx Luxor we will see you again. Love Shy
Loved staying at this hotel! Our room was always nice and clean. Hotel itself just needs some updating
The hotel is beautiful and in a great location. Customer service could be better but overall I had a wonderful stay.
We really enjoyed our time here. The staff and every one were so polite. Will be back soon.
It was good except now there is a charge on everything even when staying at the hotel you have to pay parking.
We were in the eighth floor and could hear the music all night from the lobby. Made it hard to sleep.
They aren't the only ones to have this, but there are sales people who are trying to sell timeshares (still? In 2019?) in the floor of the lobby right when you walk in. They're deceptive too as they look like the front desk, and they didn't tell us what they were selling for awhile. I think it's embarrassing for the Luxor to have them there. Classless.
Also, not the only ones, but there's a sort of hidden $39 amenity fee which isn't optional, so they clearly don't work that into their prices to fool you. I think that's deceptive.
If possible, in the future I'll book hotels without the timeshare people and amenity fee.
Had a great stay at the Lux... the room was nice and beds soft yet firm. Can't wait for the return trip
Big rooms. Made reservation online, when I got here I didn't have wait in the long line to check in, thankfully I had priority check in. Staff is very friendly, and accomodating. Clean rooms. The views are nice. I stayed in the west tower. Bathrooms as re huge. Has a shower with separate bathtub. I would recommend this place.
Obviously an amazing hotel! I've never stayed in it but you have to at least walk through the casino for the experience of it.
cool spot to hangout, love how wide open it is but me personally when u go into a pyramid it should b way more Egyptian stuff in there but hey I think more out the box
Luxor Casino has cool design in the lobby, outside looks unique, the staff are decent. that will be it. the rest are below average. We stayed in Luxor Suite but played in Mandalay Bay most of the time and eating in MGM Grand, Bellagio & PH. First time stayed with it and it will be the last time too.The Hotel is need to upgrade
It was a beautiful hotel and inside has alot to offer shows a titanic museum also a buffet is delicious
We didn't stay here but the food options are good as well as the bar (quite impressive design)
Hotel is in dire need of remodeling. Peeling wallpaper. Missing tiles in bathroom. Room was clean and employees were sanitizing frequently.
Not a big gambler, visited for convention. The room are like all Vegas rooms - not easy to access. Cleanliness of room and casino and restaurants was decent, but not spectacular. Parking availability was probably the strongest suit of the Luxor.
Upon arrival i was told that the King bed room that I had reserved was not available so was put in a queen. Door to room was ajar when I went to enter for first time. No towels or soap. Pillows were so old they were horrible to sleep on. The AC unit would not cool the room even at lowest setting the entire stay. The hotel and casino areas were fine. I never saw a jackpot hit in the casino during my week stay, where as when I went to other casinos during visit I did. This leads me to believe perhaps machines are tighter here. Overall i would never stay here again just do to the horrible room.
I just got here
This is a handicapped room
Not bad here for 4 days
Got 4 compted days
Lovely architecture. Felt like I was in a tomb. Very freaky at first but I guess it it was meant to be
The stay there was pretty good. My bathroom in the room needed to be a bit cleaner we made a call to the front desk and someone was there to clean it very fast.
Check in was slow. Staff was rude from the start. Not enough area to sit around the pool. We had to sit on the ground. Multiple pools were closed although the open pool was packed. Our room was great.
This is a nice casual hotel on the strip. Fun an friendly. My only issue was checking in early on the mobile app, waiting and waiting for the notification that my room was ready, really, really long check in line...didnt get in my room until almost 5 pm. No apologies or anything so that really sucked. But the Diablo Cantina was amazing!
Great facility, tower rooms are modern and amazing however seems like you can hear everything through rooms, poor sound proof.
I thought I was having the time of my life till I got the bill.
Beware there are charges that are not disclose and the phone staff are useless when it comes to finding out why.
Before you leave , check your bill.
Cannot say about rooms or hotel service, but it was very pretty
It's the closes I'll get to Egypt for now.
Beautiful!
BestSet on 4 hectares of landscaped gardens, this upscale hotel is 4 km from Vaibhav Water World water park and 7 km from Jampore Beach.
The refined rooms have free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, minifridges and safes, plus tea and coffeemaking facilities. Upgraded rooms include balconies, while suites add separate living rooms. Posh upgraded suites offer in-room bars, private pools and/or kitchenettes. Room service is offered.
Amenities include 2 restaurants and 2 bars, 1 of which is by an outdoor pool. There's also a plush spa, a 24-hour gym and a game room.
Luxor has history...great place..you can win at the casino too...
Much of the old Egyptian decor from the past was replaced by slot machines. Very quiet on a Saturday night.
Very nice and hygiene place to stay at this situation. They are providing a beautiful pouch of sanitizer and face mask.
Spacious room and beautiful view from our 24th floor
Attended Blue Man Group performance and had dinner. This place was clean, convenient, and affordably priced.
Service is key. Everyone from registration, concierge to restaurant servers had the wrong attitude. They acted as though I should feel privileged to have them assist me. Maybe it's become a Vegas strip thing but the Vegas experience is nothing like it used to be.
I am lover of ancient egypt so i decided to stay at luxor and i was very happy to see the egyptian imitation statues, my room was ok but i think maybe my side of the pyramid did not get any sunlight. My room was very dark even with the curtains open and i had to keep a light on
