Would be better if ever room had appliance in them we had to buy our own coffee maker so our son could have warm milk in his bottle. And the TVs are not what I thought they would be for entertainment. Luxor could be better place for families, maybe have a family only area for rooms?

The Luxor is a great property on the Sunset Strip. It is linked to sister properties Excalibur and Mandalay Bay via Free tram. The staff are very courtesous and professional. The food offerings are superb.

I went here back in 2017 for a thanksgiving weekend and I had a blast! The one complaint I had was when you enter the Luxor you are blasted with heated wind. Like, why? Lol but besides that I enjoyed my time there. Front desk was amazing and very helpful. The casino floor was exciting and loved all the lights, tables and slot machines that was around. Also, the bodies museum was cool. Saw a lot interesting displays with my friend who I was visiting and we both had a blast. I hope to be back there some day as it was amazing experience to stay there just get rid of the heated winds when you go inside.

The hotel is fine, everyone working here is very friendly and the room is clean and nice in the tower. My biggest problem is with the noise. I can hear everything in the room next to me, and the doors are VERY loud and when another room closes their door its very loud. There doesn t seem to be any consideration to absorbing noise between the rooms. Also the other people here are loud, loud music. So if you re looking for a quiet place this is not it. I know it s Vegas but I m here for work.

The tower suite was very nice. The bad thing was that the AC was not working and from the looks of it for a while. They had a permanent set up portable AC next to the table. We could not enjoy the views because the room would get hot you could only open the curtains at night. The check in lines where super long, bring comfortable shoes. For check out i recommend using the tablet stands. It's much faster.

Stayed here in 2018 and enjoyed the Egyptian theme of the room. Went there to see the Titanic Exhibit this time which was super interesting and sad all at the same time. The piece of an ice berg brought a true reality of what the passengers suffered.

Pros: cost, location to Mandalay Bay conference center. Nice staff.
Cons: its 2019...why are people still smoking indoors? It permeates the entire hotel . If the room didnt smell like smoke, it smelled like chemical disinfectant. Shower felt like a fire hose and made my ears ring afterwards.

Half of the elevators didn't work, we had to wait in line for an hour to get to the room. The shower had no pressure and drained very slowly. Not to mention the taxes and fees for EVERYTHING. RICE was overpriced for the quality of food that was served. No internet connection in our room and barely any cell reception. Way to expensive for the cheap, old hotel impression that is the Luxor.

Stayed here for a George Straight concert. Not my favorite place I ve stay in Vegas. Would not stay here again. Found a roach roaming in the hall outside my room. Even thought the rooms semi to appear clean. It didn t feel clean.

You pay a hidden resort fee even if you don't use the pool area. Also there is no refrigerator, no microwave, no coffee. I asked them to kindly take it off since we didn't even use any of their accommodations. Everything was closed. You would think it could have been cheaper, but no it wasn't. The hallways were littered with trash bags with no maids around, the room reeked of burning marijuana all night long . They didn't care that random people were riding in the guest elevators. They never attempted to clean the room. And yes we asked them to. Will never in my life stay here again. Nor will anyone I know

Fun place and close to where I had to be. Our room faced Mccarran but wasn't too loud to have a restful sleep.

Awesome, very detailed and artistic architecture. The room was freezing. There was a (REALLY noisy) heater connected to the thermostat, but I'm pretty sure there wasn't a way to turn off the AC so both had to be running at once. Maintenance seemed a little lack lustre compared to some other hotels on the strip, but it was comfortable enough and was affordable. Fewer shipping options than Excalibur or Mandalay Bay offer on either side, but I didn't stay there to shop and getting to the other places mentioned was easy by tram or on foot (without going outside). I enjoyed my stay, and would do it again if on a budget. Might choose another option if looking for too-shelf luxury.

Room s were not as nice as other property s on the strip. Older property. You get what you pay for though.
My mother-in-laws review. The room accommodations seem as if they have not been updated since the 60 s. The room number did not have the numbers on the outside of the room. Housekeeping was slow. Casino was fair at best for gambling. Would not stay there again.

Honestly the quality of the luxor has gone down I can compare it to the circus circus we stayed Friday and checked out Tuesday...my family said it was a great place to stay actually it was my mom's boyfriends favorite place to stay until recently he said it isn't the same the room had white sheets but before I knocked out I noticed black spots on the blankets..we paid about 350 for a cabana my mother and I ordered drinks and food we waited about an hour..so If you decide to go you have to ored in advance if not you will be waiting for a long time..the workers are rude..not everyone but when I went to their stores I had a couple of bad experiences.. honestly if you decide to go to vegas you are better off paying a little bit more than staying here it isn't and was not the same experience we had before honestly speaking I won't be coming back to the luxor it was awesome before but this trip really shows that they are not upholding the same standards

nice rooms. we had a great view (27th floor) kind of a pain regarding the elevators. its just like most of the other hotels. beware of the $35.00 plus tax "resort fee", (all hotels charge this), and the $10.00 per day parking fee!

The hotel itself is okay. It's got the bare bones basics like a bed and a shower, but everything is old, a little creeky and not exactly welcoming. For example I'm staying on the top floor of the main pyramid and my room doesn't have a kettle, mini fridge or the ability to turn the room lights off from anywhere but the front door.
It's not bad, it's just not good either. Solid 2.5 stars, but I'll round up due to the unique style of the hotel and the fact things are functional, if not comfortable.

Good location, good variety of food close by, very attractive crowd at the nightclub. The only issue is the cleanliness of the rooms at times, the windows in particular. You can't enjoy a nice view when the glass is caked with dirt.

We checked into our room and it was absolutely disgusting! Went to the front desk for assistance and was just told "oh sorry, we'll see if we can find you a different room." They moved us one door over. No further apology. I reached out to MGM properties through direct message. They asked my direct contact information and never contacted me further. Clearly their cleanliness, safety, and customer service is not important to them.

The room I booked was full so they upgraded me to a little bigger room which is great. We ordered blue Man group tickets the day before (paid full price) wgen we checked in they gave us a 40% off a show coupon not valid on pre-purchased tickets (the whole reason we stayed at the Luxor at all was for that show and they won't price match the 40%off)the show and food were terrible and for some reason the bed doesn't have a duvet just like 2 flat sheets it was weird
Don't buy tickets before hand but them as soon as you get there

Decent hotel and casino. Plenty of great things to do without ever leaving the property (though, why wouldn't you, you're in Vegas!).
Be warned, room service is from the "Pyramid Cafe", which is only available for breakfast and lunch -- no dinner or late night option.

The guest and staff were very friendly. They place needs cleaning very badly. No one wants to see all the dust on top of the buildings once they walk out of their room. If you have a hard time breathing this is not the place for you. The elevators also have issues be prepared to wait and wait. Room was ok, needs work also because it is falling apart. I had a great view unlike others in my party. Due to the lack on cleanliness I will not be back. Save your money

We booked a couple months back and were advised the Titanic/Bodies attraction would be open. It isn't available until October 5th. Plus restaurants are at 50% capacity with quite a few still shut down still. I mean if you're gonna come to a casino and risk covid-19, I'd like to experience it all to make it worth it! So I ve been to this casino several times in the past. It really is a cool theme, and unique design in the way of architecture. I stayed here recently and was extremely disappointed. Though it feels new, fresh and is certainly aesthetically pleasing on first impression, its certainly far from it.
The staff at the location and extremely friendly and very helpful. The amenities at the hotel/casino are good, with a couple of Starbucks, one being 24/7 though they re running an extortion racket at $5 for a grande Pike (like the casino isn t, right?), and the exhibits are truly incredible titanic and bodies. Even being at the end of the strip it s still very easy to get anywhere you want to go and not a bad walk.
The disappointment comes from the actual facility and rooms. Because of the hotel design, the elevators are very convoluted and difficult to navigate, the elevators themselves feel like they haven t had a descent cleaning in 15 years, nor service for that matter they re extremely rough, dirty and ran down. The rooms fell straight out the early 80 s and ha ent been touched or updates since. The only modern theming in the room was a flatscreen TV, and carpeting, well, just speechless on that one.
It honestly feels like they re letting the hotel run into the ground to eventually demolish and replace with something they can charge you significantly more for. Even the outside of the building is looking tatty which for Vegas is unusual (for the most part). It s too bad, such cool architecture and a staple for the strip. I won t be staying here again.

The hotel itself is very cool, love the egyptian theme! We stayed in the pyramid though and the elevator situation made it quite a walk just to get out of our room. The pools were also pretty nice but staff was a bit TOO strict on the mask rules while poolside. We were also pretty disappointed when we were looking for some late night eats and found out that the in-house deli that was advertised as 24hr was in fact NOT 24hr. The location on the strip also put us away from "the action" so overall, we had a decent stay but will probably book elsewhere for our next Vegas trip.

We had stayed at Luxor before and loved our experience. But this go around it was not the same. Our first 2 days there we spent time by the pool and spent lots of money buying the $30 beverages and snacks. Then day 3 came. We got turned away from entering the pool 3 TIMES! The security guard on staff that day was being the pool Nazi making us chug our drinks we had just purchased inside the Luxor, made us take back water we had just purchased to our rooms, then go back a second time to the room because she wouldn t let us in with the cups after she just told us to chug them. Wasted an hour of our time and left us super bitter. She was upsetting a lot of people around us too. Then once inside the same gal found us again to tell us we were at the wrong pool and we needed to move? After the last 2 days we laid in that same spot. They need to get their priorities straight there. Definitely won t be going back again. And to top off wouldn t give me the $25 food credit that was given to me in the purchase promotion. Not a great experience this time around. Sad because I love the location.

Great location on the strip. The updated tower rooms are nice and have decent amenities, however the pyramid rooms leave something to be desired. The gaming floor hasn't changed much in the last seven years, which is a pro for some and con for others. Overall, good place to stay on the strip.

We loved this place!!! Very friendly staff our room was clean we were completely satisfied!!! Only thing that was unpleasant was the Marijuana smoke smell was strong at times in our bathroom but the staff came and sprayed room deodorizer and solved the problem. That wasn't the hotels fault I blame the Nevada legislators for legalizing it. I would recommend this place for sure.

Room was clean, no smoke smell whatsoever. Checkin was efficient, checkout was made easy as well. All of the staff I encountered was polite and helpful. My room was far enough away from the casino that it was not disruptive. My only complaints were lack of a room fridge and coffee maker. Since it is a resort, I would expect to not have to leave my room every morning to have a simple coffee. Otherwise, it was great.

Worst hotel ever doest have a fridge or microwave! No ventilation in the bathroom. Also they tried to charge us money to sit in the shade at the pool when it was 115 degrees what s the point of paying a resort fee if we can t even sit under shade place is a rip off and was a miserable stay

We had an enjoyable stay at the Luxor hotel and Casino, it's close to the airport but also close to the main Vegas Strip. Mandalay Bay and Excaliber are the connecting Casino's so it's pretty cool being able to walk from one Casino to the next to see the different exhibit's and restaurant options. We stayed in the West Tower of the Luxor, the room was spacious and clean, and the view of the mountains was awesome. The only compliant was the coffee situation, there are no coffee pots in the room, hello, this is Vegas!! Coffee required!! There is a Starbucks and a Crepe shop in the Casino but the lines are long and it's costly, not a fan of having to get dressed in the morning and walking a good distance just for a cup of coffee. Other than that, it was a nice stay at the Luxor!

Was very excited to stay here until we checked in our room. The room smelled so bad and out dated. The furniture looked at least 20 plus years old. It was so far away from everything and there was no phone service so it made it pretty hard to work from the hotel. We checked out early and got a new hotel. The room we got was NOTHING like the rooms advertised.
