With Covid we are all worrying about safety, cleanliness & the crowds. I can say that the hotel room was spotless, the lines and all stores had protocol for social distancing, masks are enforced in all areas. I would recommend going to the Luxor hotel.
We went to see the Blue Man Group. Show was great. Resort is starting to show its age.
Will definitely stay there the next time I'm in Vegas. Good prices and great location. Awesome value.
1st time staying Love the rooms. Great amenities inside. I will definitely return!
I have stayed at the Luxor for years the staff is extremely informative I have always had clean rooms the food is excellent it is an easy casino to get around I recommend to all my frt to stay at the Luxor and can't wait to get back there this year
I gave this hotel a 3 starts because the staff was really friendly. We stayed at a tower premium room, according to the staff the newest remodeled, but to start the beds were so uncomfortable, really flat, maybe they were comfortable at some point but now they are really old and flat. Now, the bathrooms were not properly clean. We found hairs in the shower and the bathtub when we got to our room. And our last night we found a cockroache in our room. Most likely we would not stay here again, I rather pay more and have a better rest and stay in a more clean place
Ez to get to lots of free parking and if you have kids with you there is a game room your kids will love!
I went on my birthday and got no perks. Also their door attacked me.
This casino it's on Vibe...and in vegas each casino has their unique identity...so this casino theme is ofcourse Egypt style pyramids...so anyone visiting Vegas for first time must see casino interior.
Great stay for the price! Short walking distance to everything on the Strip. Definitely going back!
We came to this hotel about 4 years ago for our honey moon and it was fantastic! We just went last week and it is so ran down.. we didn t even have a comforter in our room and the air conditioning barely worked!! It s so sad to see this hotel so different than it was 4 years ago.. I definitely would not stay here again.. it s cool to look at but they have gotten lazy with renovating and up keeping the rooms.
Nice rooms, clean facilities, less crowded than other casinos. The biggest downside for me was that I could not get any Verizon cellular service inside the hotel or casino. This will be the first year the pool stays open year round, although I would like to see extended pool hours beyond 5:00. Maid staff were nice and friendly. This will be THE place to be when the stadium just west is completed.
Only came here for the eSports arena. Would recommend it for anyone interested in games. Only bad point is all the kids playing fortnight :/
The Luxor is really cool and has a variety of amazing shops. Highly recommend hitting The Luxor while staying in Vegas or just stay there. Then hit up Criss Angel or The Blue Man Group and complete the experience.
Luxor is one of the most interesting hotels I have stayed at. Our room was really stuffy but thanks to the A.C. that issue wasn't so bad. Their buffet is lit, if you're staying the weekend I recommend getting the bracelet so you can access the buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Heads up, it's a pyramid hotel so the elevators are going to feel weird. Just hold on to something and you'll be fine.
Not impressed. Highly expensive and nothing to show for it. Centra bar morning staff was excellent but not so much in the evening. Don't forget a toothbrush or anything simple like that because it will cost you an arm and a leg at the hotel store. Motel 6 has better amenities in their room like a fridge or a coffee maker. I will definitely not be returning to this establishment.
Fantastic architecture. Good amenities. Rooms are very comfortable with good views from interior walkway and outside. Elevators move diagonally. Great restaurants with a lot to choose from. Prices reasonable for the strip. Bus stop nearby makes accessing the rest of the strip easy. See Blue Man group. Convenience store. Taxi service. Concierge very friendly. My best stay on the strip so far.
We had a great time here for sure! The hotel is very nice in its own and has some nice features. The rooms in the pyramid could definitely use some updating for sure.
This hotel was amazingly beautiful. At the end of the strip but who cares when your with beautiful people. Love my Ohana Fam Bam.
Rooms in the tower were surprisingly updated and modern. Very clean and quiet. The casino is large but not so large that it takes forever to walk somewhere, lunch at the buffet was also pretty good.
Very nice hotel, fine dining, friendly staff, very accommodating staff.
The rooms for the price I felt were a lil over priced compared to other resorts near by.
We made the mistake of staying in a "pyramid " room! This is the older rooms and very basic.... A tower room is essential if you like a bit mire plush!
Getting rather worn and dated. Room shabby. Pleasant staff. Good breakfast buffet but AVOID the dinner buffet. It was the worst we have ever had. Very overpriced. Little choice and many items not hot unless you stick to pizza. Tight slots. MGM casinos with their high resort fees and parking charges make off strip casinos a better choice.
Alexa was great The rooms weren't meant for you to spend any time in but they were nice. I won a lot of money there so I was happy.
it's cool room's are dated they a soap bar & little bottles of shampoo & conditioner
Luxor is old and needs some serious updating. Room lacked expected amenities like USB ports and enough outlets as well as a modern entertainment system. That said, the casino, restaurants and shops are quite pleasant.
Most casinos offer free valet parking. They charge $10 for self parking. The place looks dated and old. The air filtration is poor. Not a good place for non smokers. There was a long wait to check in. They were not fully staffed. This was at 5:00 PM. Check in is at 3:00 PM.
A great hotel and casino, although one of the first hotels in the Las Vegas hotel strip, and looks a little tired decor wise. The standard of the room was good the food lovely and services all first class. Lots of things to see and experience and that's without leaving the hotel to the rest of the Vegas strip. A twenty minute walk gets you to the heart of the casino haven, all with a variety of shops, shows and attractions. Well worth the trip.
We had SO much fun playing slots at this casino! We played for hours and the cocktail waitresses were so fast and friendly--- we'll definitely be back!
I have stayed at Luxor numerous times. We were supposed to be there in April but will be staying again in September. I was there early June and had to stay at NYNY instead no comparison to the service we have had at Luxor. The suites at Luxor are better than NYNY. The pool is better at Luxor.. overall the staff at Luxor is more customer focused than most of the resorts. The tower rooms and suites are awesome.
Luxor is an older hotel but many of the rooms have been upgraded. Its a cool concept and styling. The hidden food court in the back is good if you are on a budget. The walkway to Mandalay Bay has more food options, plus you dont need a car or to go outside to get to the convention center. The rooms at Luxor are much more affordable than other hotels! If there for a convention stay in the pyramid not the tower, its very close to get to the Mandalay Bridge. On a last note we have stayed here many times- parking in no longer a free amenity its a per day fee and so is the vegas bs fee- so expect to pay $50-60 a day more than the quoted price. Hope this helps you.
Hello. Unfortunately we had a very unpleasant experience at Luxor. Upon check-in, looking forward a seamless late check in on the MGM app, it wasn t working. After 15 minutes of trying to get it to work we then waited in line for 30 minutes to see someone at the counter to get checked in. It was 10:00pm but we flew from Minnesota where it felt like 12:00am. At the counter we received excellent service, with a long line and many upset people they worked hard and fast to make sure everyone was seen and taken care of, great attitudes. We did not request a upgrade for having to wait, the room we selected was in the pyramid (after other visits to Las Vegas it s been #1 on my list as a place to stay, with 4.2 star rating on Google with 63k reviews.) Customer service gave us an upgrade and got us into the west tower. The first room 15242. The room smelled like someone had just smoked weed within a few hours. There was hair on the floor in the bathroom as well as some kind of dried substances on the floor. There was a dirty towel in the tub, there was a candy rapper on the ledge looking into the shower, greasy finger prints behind the swivel mirror, there was bbq sauce(I think) splattered on the wall and to top it off when we decided that we were going to just wait until tomorrow to take care of it with customer service we pulled the blankets and there was a pink or red stain on the mattress cover. I probably slept all of 3 hours uncomfortable, stressed, grossed out... the next morning (my wife s birthday) we see customer service, absolutely delightful I can not tell you guys how great the customer service team is, saddens me that my feedback was so negative and it wasn t a matter of the customer service. We are seeking a resolution, the wonderful rep ***** wanted to get our room cleaned right away or get us into a new room, we decided a new room was best, we wanted to get on to the rest of our day. ***** also refunded us a resort fee for the day, very nice touch. We packed up our things and we re on to the next room. Room 12259, the room was much better, smelled clean, relaxed on the chair and what catches my eye was a black pair of mid calf Nike socks clear as day laying right behind the chair. I m appalled. In the bathroom, there is a target bag on the sealing with a hair binder tied to the sprinkler head. I m beyond disappointed, I feel bad that the customer service team is so strong but you can lack in so many other departments. Maintaining these rooms is clearly not a priority, I m sure all the old ivory outlets that aren t tamper resistant, cracked blank plates and nasty crusty corrosion around the shower and shower head can all use some attention. The horizontal walking ramps don t work between Excalibur and Luxor, could have made the walk back less miserable. Quantity over quality... in conclusion, we did not seek anything further, another room I can imagine we would have been sent to, would it be worse, somewhere in the middle? Maybe? I have better odds playing roulette. I don t know what it takes to run a resort/hotel, I can imagine a lot, but if I made that kind of money, I d be doing a better job. Here s my Google review.
The Luxor Hotel was over priced for a 26 year old hotel. The hotel needs serious updating. A number of staff members seemed like they didn't enjoy working at the resort. I'm being generous with the 2 star rating. I will not be going back to the Luxor. I just booked 3 nights at the much newer Delano Hotel for less money than what I paid for 2 nights at the Luxor. I'm an M Life member.
Met some friends there the other day. We sat in the lobby. This was actually the first time I had ever been inside the Luxor. It is a very exciting elaborate Hotel. Once you're there you really don't have to go anywhere there's restaurants ,movie theaters museums, valet parking. Etc. And lots of people must really like it and the prices must be pretty good because the line at the check-in desk was always busy.
Luxor Hotel let me tell you something that's a cool place y'all I'd come and see it jump on your plane jump in your car jump on your truck heck take a train come see it Vegas as crowded as hot but it's fun place to be especially when the Luxor contacts me tells me to come and get a little bit of comp for this interview that I'm going to give them System of a Down everybody's coming to see my reviews I think that's something to do the MGM Grand Family Guy little bit of marijuana dispensaries going on we might share some of that too love that H2O when you got to drink it for that for 420
Large facility, plenty of room to roam. Affordable accomodations. Lacking in modern food options but a good variety of entertainment options.
Our room was not like the pictures online. The blue man group show was awesome. We sat in the front row and didn t get splashed but it was entertaining. Our 5 year old still talks about it and asks when we ll be back at the blue man show
I had so many problems with my stay at the luxor. Checkung in was a nightmare. I jad to go through thr line twice because the front desk had me wait in line to tell me that he couldn't help me ans then I had to wait agian. Thdn our room wasnt being cleaned, i supposedly recieved an upgraded room that had a broken TV.
The buffet made us all sick and overall it was a very disappointing stay. I will not be staying here again
We like staying at the Luxor! The suites are nice & big, could use a microwave!
Housekeeping, eh, not so much. We only ask for housekeeping every 2 or 3 days so on the 3rd day she was only a couple of doors down so we asked her to change bedding & take out the trash but leave the bathroom alone & she didn't do anything!

The hotel is special.
Elevator is tilt but safe.
Bed is soft and comfortable .
When you feel boring , the casino at the lobby place .
I haven't been back to this casino since I was a child when it was relatively new. My wife particularly enjoyed the commitment to the Egyptian theme. I loved old vegas and how every hotel embraced a different niche. There were many gamers since they hold gaming tournaments here which was cool. One up for the monorail, it would have been a far walk to get there. Definitely take it and check out the Mandalay Bay too!
Online check-in recommended.
Otherwise long waiting time.
Room a bit old but clean. Really very extensive all you can eat breakfast
My first trip to Vegas. They are taking a lot of safety precautions for COVID which is awesome. Our room was dirty but they moved us to a new one. We gambled but couldn't find anyone to bring us a beverage to save our lives. It's at the end of the strip so you don't just walk out to night life. But if you can get a deal it's a good stop.
Very welcoming staff. Rooms are very clean and there are great dining options in the lobby and casino!
Tower room updated nicely. Lots of things to do, and less hectic than some of the other strip casino hotels.
Staying in west tower the luxor is great in main area room in west tower needs better work people are friendly though easily check in and great security
It's run down, MGM is done with putting money into that casino.
We only walked through it but it's very nice. Had lunch at rocket's.
My husband and I enjoyed a show called Fantasy at The Luxor! It was fun, entertaining, and the woman were beautiful and put on an excellent show!
Rude check in staff with attitude. I originally booked the hotel online for one night and decided to extend my stay to two nights. After a long an exhaustive drive I asked the check-in staff if it is possible to extend it for one more night. He said the hotel is fully booked. When I mentioned to him that I have seen the possibility to book online, he asked me to show it so he can prove me wrong. I booked it online 5 minutes laters.
The room was just ok and no fridge in my room.
Fun casino. Plenty of food choices and shows. Expensive food, i.e. a bottle of water $6.00. Room without usual amenities like alarm clock, coffee maker or small refrigerator. Housekeeping skipped one day for room servicing without request or do not disturb sign on door. Staff helpful and friendly at front desk. Great location.
Nice hotel and many games to choose from. Excited to see the Titanic Museum today!!
What can I say about this hotel. It s inexpensive that s about it. Once you re inside the smell of immediately offends your olfactory sense. The line to check in moves at a continental drift speed. The room cleaning was or lack thereof really threw me of our rooms drain did not function making it tough to use the sink. The shower also did not drain properly. I called the front desk to address this but no one ever came to fix this. It s a nice concept, a pyramid theme but I wouldn t consider coming to this one again.
This hotel is just astonishing! I can't say much for the room (queen pyramid) since the lighting was very poor in the bathroom, no extra amenities like fridge or microwave, but the overall ambience of the hotel makes up for it. Places to eat, drink (Starbucks coffee too!), gamble, shows like all the others but wasn't expecting museums to check out! We didn't have time to check those out but I would if we had time.
I just love the Egyptian themed that is all throughout the hotel. I would definitely come back here just for the ambience.
It was clean, which was nice. They upgraded my room, which was very kind, but the room was supposed to come with a fridge, and didn t have one. I requested one, and it took two days to get to me.... that was a bummer.
Lots of fun. Great shows and amenities. Easy to get around. Mobile check-in is great. Rooms are nice. Poor pillows though. Very clean throughout.
As a travel consultant that owns there own travel agency it was a blessing to go back and see all the things that Las Vegas has to offer for my clients I was so excited I celebrated my 60th birthday there so it was awesome.
We didn t stay in this hotel, just walking through - it has a shape of Pyramid and Titanic exposition.
Loved the place! Great room and one of a kind place!
I love the location and the friendly staff. I highly recommend this hotel to all my friends and family
Room very nice. Love the decor! Staff responded quickly to requests, ie more towels. Clean.
Great for a stay on the strip. Toward the South end but still good location. Nice, clean, and comfortable room. Opted for a relatively inexpensive room which was great for my stay- mostly just used the room to sleep anyway! Not enough late night food choices right inside the Luxor is really my only complaint.
Luxor hotel and casino was great! Stayed at the east tower side the view was beautiful the casino had a huge selection slots tables to gamble. Their buffet was amazing the whole hotel had cool designs Egyptians all over for the design! Great for pictures!! Super Clean rooms! friendly people! Next time I m in Vegas I ll be back at the Luxor!!
Need to hire more cocktail waitresses. Hard to catch a buzz and want to lose my money. Sat at the bar and enjoyed it more. Understand operating revenue is down but so is the customer experience. Sad
Super cool got a free upgrade because something was wrong with my 1st room . Second room had a hot tub for good times . Couldn't switch the tv to hdmi 1 or 2 so couldn't plug up a game or DVD player but room was nice and clean bathroom was emaculant with a shower with 20 jets . Book at a deal that's a steal
The best service. Quite rooms. Very enjoyable sleep. I bought a house here and have trouble sleeping in my own bed. The Luxor is Luxury.
A must see if you like to wander the Vegas casinos (a pyramid!) but not the best place to find food/shop/gamble. Loved seeing the blue man group
Went here 2 years ago with my family to see my cousin, it was okay. the room wasn t really big tho. not gonna be a critic tho, i liked this hotel.
It s coo and all, but the walk from the self-parking area to any room in one of the towers is gonna take you at least 15 minutes one-way. That s a little challenging when you ve got your luggage and there s no luggage cart, but it is what it is do bring your waking shoes!
Our room was clean and had a modern look and feel. No microwave and no refrigerator. Their pools and gym are open and you can order food from the restaurants. One of the shades from the glass window broke in our room when we tried to use it and no one came to fix it during our stay. One of the lights in our room didn t work and two full wall sockets didn t work either. It was a decent stay overall, though.
4 stars only because the TV was staticy. Other than that the place is a blast.
They turn the light beacon off at night. We had counted on navigating home by ther light after getting destroyed only to find it was gone. Dang near slept in the bushes instead of my room.
Almost checked out as soon as we checked in. Very rude staff. Paid way to much money to be treated so poorly. A manager actually pinpointed my husband to cause problems almost leading to a fight. Very cocky and sarcastic. 2 towels in the room and 4 people staying during the weekend. Never had anyone in the room to clean or replenish supplies.
I forgot $800 in cash in the safe in my room. I was getting on a plane back to NYC when it dawned on me that I had forgotten it. I called them up, filled out the lost and found form online. They were great! I had a check in the mail the next day and got it a couple of days later. A huge thank you to the security team and the lost & found department. They are amazing!
It has a great atmosphere and the pool is amazeballs
The place shows it's years. Except for the maid service, the service from everyone else has been terrific! Pool was fun, but now it is $10 up to $500 unless you get there super early. We went to the pool at 10:00 am and had to pay. El Diablo Mexican Restaurant was excellent
Nice inside but none of the shows where open due to COVID-19. One positive about this is that hotel rooms are super cheap right now
Great place. Nice rooms. The staff is super helpful, especially Desiree. She has been amazing and absolute joy to work with. With awesome staff like her. My Stay has been incredibly enjoyable.
The pyramid rooms are pretty cool and the hotel is clean and Vegas lively. The food in the Diablo Cantina and the Pyramid Cafe is delicious. Do not bother with the buffet downstairs (esp near closing time.) You can get a way better meal for the same price at another place. There is a bit of a dated feel but it adds more to the ambiance rather than detracts from it.
Wonderful Family Vacation
From the moment I called to make arrangements for five rooms and vacation experience for my family, I was treated like royalty by their customer service agent. When we arrived, the rooms were wonderfully appointed and my family absolutely loved staying there. We rented a cabana which had the spray misters, a television, snacks, Gatorade, water and personalized delivery of food and beverages by the pool staff. We stayed in the pool all day and everyone had a wonderful time from the 1 year old to the oldest in our family. We even had other family members join us at the pool in the cabana and they too had a great time. I can't wait to go back to the Luxor! The bed was comfortable and the room did not smell like cigarette smoke. We stayed on the two queen bed rooms in the tower (pink) not the pyramid tower. Room service is only available in the mornings for breakfast but the food was really good (minus the 45 minute wait for it). Lol
I've stayed here before and never had a problem but this last time was horrible. They failed to mention that the tvs didn't work in certain rooms in the West Tower and I had called maintenance 4 times before being told the issue which had been a issue for 3 days prior to my check-in.
The rooms was nice as well as they had mobile scooters for you to rent at the bell hop so that you don't have to do all that walking on the strip.
Decent casino, clean and pays well, keep up the good work guys
Went to Las Vegas for New Years eve
Enjoy staying at the Luxor no problems what so ever
The sheets, bed and room quality was superb. Was quiet.even though we were on bottom floor. Bonus bar drinks was great. Staff were nice and totally cool place to photograph outside. It's a pyramid. Price was great online. Check-in line went pretty fast. Casino nothing to rave about. Lots of food choices for a family in the food court.
If you visit Vegas, do visit. An amazing building. Seems the employees are always on you to buy more. You cant walk ten steps without getting a sales pitch
Very dark. Strong smell of smoke. Not great signage. Titanic exhibition worth seeing.
I was only at the Luxor for Blue man show. Good show and nice casino.
